BEST Plumbing Service of Cincinnati Inc

I picked BEST plumbing because they were the closest plumber to my house with an "A" rating on Angie's List. They were very professional both on the phone and in person. I called them on Wednesday and they gave me a two hour window from 2-4 Friday afternoon. I got a call about 2:45 from Scot saying he would be here in about 30 minutes. He showed up as promised. He was nice, clean cut, knowledgeable and professional. He explained the problem with the water main shutoff and what he would need to do to repair it and gave me an estimate of $175 - $200. I approved the work and he completed the job in about 90 minutes. He repacked the washing machine shutoff without charging me since the water was already off and it just required a new washer to be installed. Overall it was a quick, professional job at a reasonable price. I would definitely use them again.

Everything was done qucikly and professionally. The only issue was that I leaft a voice mail with them on Sunday and they did not return my call from that. Had to call them on Monday.

I've had Ernie do work before and always found him to be easy to work with, honest, prompt, efficient and, I think, very reasonable.

Went well. De-clogging our drain takes over an hour. It seemed like a price similar to what we have had before. Came the day I called I believe. They were nice over the phone.

We called in the evening when we found the leak. Ernie explained how to turn the main water off to stop the water from leaking that evening. He then moved his schedule around so he could do the work first think the next morning. We also had him replace a couple old valves that I thought might go bad eventually. The leak was in a very tight spot. He did an excellent job and was done in a couple hours. Since plumbers typically charge by the hour I was pleased to see him work so efficiently.

We've worked with Best Plumbing Service before and know that the least expensive approach is to buy all the plumbing fixtures ourselves ahead of time and then schedule them to come and do the installation. That's what we did this time. We bought the laundry tub and bar sink strainers at a plumbing store. We bought the water softener at another store. Ernie and partner (sorry I can't remember his name) divided the tasks and went right to work. While installing the water softener in the utility room, they noticed that the expansion tank above the water heater was puffed out/bloated. They told me this was an accident waiting to happen and that it should be replaced. Luckily, they had a spare expansion tank on their truck, and were able to replace it for me. Also, after finishing with the installation of the water softener, they showed me how to operate the bypass valve so that I could get water bypassing the unit until my husband came home to add the salt. All the work was done with good quality. And because I had just gotten my basement carpet cleaned recently, they were more than happy to wear booties on their shoes so they wouldn't track in any dirt. When the work was completed, I paid with a check. I appreciated their professionalism, good spirits, and "can-do" attitude.

I had a real positive experience with them. The work was supposed to be done in three steps. They were very flexible about the scheduling every time and came out whenever I needed them. They always showed up on time and finished the work in timely manner. They provided an excellent quality of service and I have had no problems with their work so far.

I had already purchased the toilet, so all that was needed was the installation. The old one was disconnected and taken away. The new one was installed. The old water valve to the toilet was also replaced.

I have been using his services for about two years. Ernie is great. He is close by and can get here when I need him. He writes an estimate and it is always right on. He is very accommodating and personable. I am not uncomfortable having him in my home.

Job was done quickly, skillfully, & well. Returned to fix a small problem that arose with one toilet.

First, I needed to reschedule twice because I had trouble finding the new fixtures I needed. Best was flexible on this and it was easy to set up a new time. The plumber came when scheduled and was well prepared to do the work. The old faucets were very hard to remove as some of them had corroded into the piping. The plumber did an excellent job of trouble shooting and had the tools to cut/remove the old parts without damaging the piping or the bathroom sinks themselves. When it came to replacing the kitchen sink, it turned out the original cutout in the counter top was too big for the replacement sink I had pre-purchased. The plumber knew what tool would be needed to cut the counter, but advised he was not experienced with that and it would be better for me to get a countertop specialist to make the cut. He did call two plumbing supply places to help me find a sink that would fit within the maximum countertop space that would be available. I was able to find a sink and get the counter top re-cut within a week. Best quickly scheduled time to came back to finish the sink installation. Due to the cabinets on either side of the kitchen sink, it was not easy to install the new sink, either. The plumber was not one to give up however, and clearly had the experience to troubleshoot solutions. They did not charge me anything until the entire job was finished. The overall work was excellent. This is the second time I have used Best and remain very happy with their service and professionalism.

Called for urgent plumbing need; they did not call back.

They were personable punctual and responsive. The price was fair and they did a good job.

He deducted the amount paid earlier from the new bill. He was pleasant, professional and neat.

I had a wonderful experience with this company. I felt that they were very honest in their recommendation and in their quoted price. They were also very willing to work with me to help me get the best fix for the lowest price. Both plumbers that came to my house were professional and friendly.

Work was completed efficiently. New gas line location allowed other work in the basement - great improvement in the area. New faucet in kitchen works great.

Plumber quickly found the broken pipe, fixed it, and from start to finish took just under an hour. Could not be more pleased with the service (and the price)! If all contractors were like this guy, there would be no need for Angie's List.

The plumber, Ernie Dunaway, showed up on time and was pleasant and respectful. He assessed the problem and fixed it promptly. I have had no problems with the pipe since.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT, THEY PUT DOWN TARPS TO KEEP THE AREA AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE, AND THEY GOT IT DONE IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.

MY CALL TO BEST PLUMBING WAS HANDLED EFFICIENTLY AND THEY SCHEDULED THE TIME TO MY CONVENIENCE EVEN THOUGH THEY COULD COME EARLIER. HE (I'M SORRY I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME) CAME WITHIN THE TIME SCHEDULED EVEN THOUGH HE HAD DIFFICULTY FINDING MY ADDRESS. HE TRIED TO CONTACT ME BUT I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK AND HE DIDN'T HAVE MY CELL PHONE NUMBER.) HE WAS FINISHED WITHIN 30 MINUTES. HE EVEN SHOWED ME HOW TO DISMANTLE THE PLUG TO GET IN TO CLEAN OUT THE DRAIN MYSELF, SAVING A CALL. I WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE THEM AGAIN.

THE TECHNICIANS AT BEST PLUMBING ARE SUPER! THEY ARE SO PLEASANT AND TRUSTWORTHY AND WE'RE SO GLAD TO KNOW A COMPANY WHOM RESPONDS SO QUICKLY AND DOES A TERRIFIC JOB FOR US AT A REASONABLE PRICE. WE WOULDN'T DREAM OF CALLING ANYONE ELSE - THEY REALLY ARE THE 'BEST'.

ERNIE ARRIVED ON TIME. AS HE WAS DIAGNOSING AND FIXING THE PROBLEM, HE ASKED GOOD QUESTIONS AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS DOING. HE GAVE GOOD ADVICE ON WHAT WE SHOULD DO IF WE HAVE MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE TOILET IN THE FUTURE, INCLUDING GIVING RECOMMENDATIONS ON WHERE WE COULD GO TO BUY A TOILET (A PLACE WITH GOOD SELECTION AND GOOD SALES HELP). HE WAS VERY HELPFUL.

DESPITE ''FREE'' ON-SITE ESTIMATE, PRICE QUOTED FOR WORK WAS WAY OUT OF LINE (2-3X) WITH THAT OF OTHERS. TRIED TO OVER-SELL WHAT NO OTHER PLUMBER THOUGHT NECESSARY. ESTIMATOR/PLUMBER ARRIVED 90 MINUTES EARLY DESPITE MY CONFIRMATION AND RECONFIRMATION WITH HIS OFFICE OF APPOINTMENT TIME. HE CLAIMED HE ''DIDN'T REALIZE'' CORRECT TIME DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT WAS NOTED ON HIS WORK ORDER. IF HE WAS RUNNING EARLY HE COULD HAVE AT LEAST CALLED TO ASK IF HE COULD COME EARLY. BUT NO, THIS ARROGANT TRADESMAN IGNORED THIS SIMPLE STANDARD OF PROFESSIONALISM.

I HAVE NOTHING BUT ADMIRATION FOR THEM.
