Cullins One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

For going from having no heat to even better airflow and heat within 12 hours on a Holiday weekend, I'd say fantastic. Cullins One Hour was courteous and patient all through the process and really showed me what had failed and why. They worked quickly but thoroughly and had a great attitude as well. They did not push on replacing the furnace or purchasing an extended service contract. I appreciated that.

The representative was very friendly and respectful of my house. He explained very clearly that I needed a new fan control board. They quoted me a tier two flat rate to replace the board. Tier one jobs cost over $300. I looked up the fan board online and found that it can be purchased for less than $100. I called them the next day and asked how long it would take to replace a fan board. They quoted me a half hour to an hour. At that point I told him what and I had found but they would not lower the price. I called three other companies that were highly rated on Angie's List. Two quoted a higher price and one a lower price. I hired the lower priced company to complete the work for about $100 less.

Truly excellent service. The technician wore booties into the house (despite repeated trips to his vehicle!), explained everything to me in terms I could understand, and allowed me to watch the repair that he deemed necessary.

I was not expecting them to replace the internal components of the AC unit. But they insistent it had to be done.

Excellent, on time service, technician was friendly, knowledgeable and presented Cullins service plan options without being pushy.

In a word..."Excellent." Jeff's team showed up on time as promised. They always wore their shoe covers, were careful not to mark woodwork/furniture when bringing the unit into the home and cleaned up after themselves. Additionally they took the time to answer all questions that I ask, I'm an engineer so I had plenty of nerdy, curious ones and they still managed to finish up pretty close to on time despite some complications with removing the old air handler.

We disliked the "scare tactics" that implied dealing with any other company would lead to rape or murder by drug-crazed technicians. Safety is an important issue, but this felt manipulative. Bruce took a lot of time to make his detailed presentation, which was good, but we could only look at, not keep the written proposals. That was very off-putting, implying that Cullins didn't want its proposal to be examined too closely or compared to those of other companies. We didn't like not knowing the specific manufacturer and specific models of equipment we'd be agreeing to buy. We liked the warranties and service guarantees Cullins offered, but the price was fairly high. For that amount of money, we expected more transparency in the proposal, detailed, written, individualized, and for us to keep and study.

Salesman was courteous and professional. We did not select them as the value for the price was WAY out of line. We selected another reputably ranked Angie's List service provider, who offered the exact same equipment for $2,000 less (i.e. 30%).

This was a wonderful experience. The people answering the phone were very professional and very upbeat, almost singing in the phone! Mike came out on time (he called to say he was on his way at 1:59 pm and he was due between 2 and 4 pm). He was very courteous, wore his booties, asked good questions, and was very thorough. He was here for almost 2 hours looking at our system. My husband and I kind of tag-teamed him because of our work schedules and he dealt with that very well. He explained everything he was doing. He found many things wrong with our furnace and A/C. Most importantly, he found a huge crack in our heat exchanger and immediately shut the system down and put a sticker inside the furnace accordingly. He was never pushy about the services his company could provide. He did suggest keeping our home warranty, but I noticed that American Home Shield likes to use AirMasters, and I know that they are horrible (based on the list here and my own experience). I wish they used Cullen!

Cullins Heating and Air Conditioning is definite a winner in my book and gets an A+ in service to customers.

It was a great experience. I even changed my mind on what I was purchasing midway through the process and they were great. All of their techs have been very knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. The furnace is heating the house very well.

Mr. Cullins was very informative and thoroughly analyzed our current system and then made recommendations about a new system. He suggested a highly efficient heating/cooling system and explained every aspect of the system. Our installers were FANTASTIC! All three were true gentlemen and a pleasure to have in my home. They were professional, informative, experienced, and very considerate of my home. I had to chuckle when I even saw an oil drip pan under their truck outside. One gentleman even washed my porch and driveway. We would recommend this company to anyone.

They're reliable and competent, and they will work around your schedule. They're trustworthy and competitively priced.

Excellent service as always. Company rep Jeff Cullins is professional, courteous, and fair. Other staff are well trained. There were a few minor details that needed to be resolved; they were taken care of without incident or dispute. Jeff Cullins seems to adhere to ''the customer is always right'' motto.

Polite on telephone, and the technician that did the job was polite as well! Don't hesitate to use them! Told me a 2 hour window when their trucks advertise a 1 hour window.

OUR HEAT PUMP QUIT FUNCTIONING DUE TO A HOLE IN THE COILS WITHIN OUR FURNACE. JEFF CULLINS, CAME TO OUR HOUSE ON TWO OCCASIONS. NO PRESSURE TO MAKE THE SALE. LAYED OUT OUR OPTIONS AND DECIDED ON THE SECOND VISIT TO GO AHEAD AND HAVE BOTH THE HEAT PUMP AND FURNACE REPLACED. TEAM OF TWO SHOWED UP ON SCHEDULED DAY JUST BEFORE 8:30. THEY WERE VERY NEAT. IT WAS A WET AND COLD DAY, BUT THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL TO LAY DOWN PLASTIC ON THE CARPETING AND DROP CLOTHS ON THE FLOORING. ALSO WORE COVERS ON THEIR SHOES. A THIRD TECH SHOWED UP AROUND NOON, AND THEY FINISHED JUST BEFORE 3 PM. DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. THEY ARE DEFINITELY A FIRST CLASS ORGANIZATION WHICH I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO MY NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS.

THIS IS MY SECOND TIME USING THEM, AND THEY ARE GREAT. THEY ARE VERY PROMPT AND POLITE. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.

AFTER A LATE EVENING LIGHTNING STRIKE TO THE HOUSE, MANY ELECTRICAL DEVICES WERE DAMAGED. THE OUTSIDE A/C UNIT WAS RUNNING BUT BLOWING WARM AIR. CULLINS HEATING AND COOLING WAS CALLED FIRST THING IN THE MORNING FOR A SERVICE INSPECTION. UPON A QUICK ARRIVAL AND INSPECTION, THEY FOUND THE PRIMARY CIRCUIT BOARD WAS ''FRIED'' AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. PROBLEM SOLVED. I'VE BEEN USING THE SERVICES AND PARTS (FURNACE FILTERS) OF CULLINS HEATING AND COOLING SINCE THEY INSTALLED A NEW FURNACE AND A/C IN 1998. FAMILY OWNED AND NOT ONE COMPLAINT.

MY FURNACE WAS RUNNING ALL THE TIME, THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE DIRTY FILTERS. I DON'T FEEL LIKE I GOT ANYTHING FOR MY MONEY, HE JUST LOOKED AT THINGS AND TOLD ME IT WAS OLD AND THAT I NEEDED A NEW FURNACE.

I HAD ASKED TO BE NOTIFIED AT WORK WHEN THEY THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD BE 20 MINUTES OUT FROM ARRIVING AT MY HOME. I RECEIVED A CALL AND WHEN I GOT TO MY HOUSE THE INSPECTOR WAS ALREADY WAITING. HE WAS GREAT AT EXPLAINING WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WHY. THE INSPECTION ON THE FURNACE WAS EXTREMELY THOROUGH AND WAS VERY INTERESTING. WE ARE HAVING THEM BACK TO CORRECT AN HVAC ISSUE IN OUR BASEMENT.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APPEARANCE. THEY EVEN COVERED THEIR SHOES WHEN THEY WERE IN THE HOUSE!

I REALLY TRUST THESE GUYS. THEY DON'T TRY TO SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED. THEY CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES VERY WELL AND ARE REALLY NICE PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.

I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE COURTESY AND PROFESSIONALISM OF ALL THE EMPLOYEES I HAD CONTACT WITH. I LIKED HOW CAREFUL THE WORKMEN WERE NOT TO DIRTY MY HOUSE. THEY WERE EXCELLENT IN TERMS OF FOLLOW UP CHECKS, QUESTIONS ANSWERED, ETC.

THE SERVICE PROVIDER WAS RIGHT ON TIME, COMPLETED THE JOB IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER, AND FOR THE PRICE QUOTED. NO HIDDEN CHARGES. OTHER SERVICES WERE OFFERED, BUT HE WAS NOT PUSHY AT ALL, JUST GAVE ME THE INFORMATION.

THE OWNER CAME OUT AND DID THE INSPECTION AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT MY A/C AND HEATING WERE FINE. NEVER TRIED TO SELL ME ANYTHING ELSE BUT A TUNEUP FOR BOTH. I SCHEDULED THE TUNEUP FOR BOTH AND THEY WERE OUT A WEEK LATER. THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK ABOUT 3 HOURS AND THEY DID GREAT JOB. VERY THOROUGH, CLEANED UP EVERYTHING.
