Cullins One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

The installers arrived on time. They maintained a very clean work area and checked with me before making any major installation changes (change in vent piping and ducting). They completed the job in less time than estimated. The technicians were extremely courteous and professional. The unit installed was very good and has significantly reduced my utility bills.

They arrvied on time, performed the checkup professionally, and provided explanations for all my questions. My only negative comment would be for a coupon that was listed on their web site for a reduced rate for this actual service. It showed an expiration date of 12/09. When they quoted me the rate for this service it was higher than the coupon stated. When I questioned the difference in price, they told me the coupon expired in Dec 2009. I had used this same company previously on a rental property and they did good work, so I consented to more forward with this appointment even though the coupon issue was an irritation factor for me.

Cullins One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning was very efficient. I had used them before and they are quick and responsive. For this job they were way high in the price so I went with someone else.

Their service was great but it was extremely expensive. There ended up being a problem with the thermostat. He was there for 2 hours and it cost over 300.00.

Carbon monoxide leak discovered on semi annual tuneup/ inspection by Mike the service technician. He called Maggie the estimator/load calculator who arrived by noon the same day. No sales pressure--just presented the options and let me make my decision. Worked with their other customers in order to fit me into their schedule with my inflexible work schedule. Called the day of install to let us know they were on their way. John and Richard the installation technicians worked diligently for almost 13 hrs straight to ensure the install was done in one day. Maggie stopped by twice during the day to make sure all was going well. They were all courteous/profession and took great care to do no damage when moving old and new units in and out of tight spaces. I cannot say enough good things about Cullins one hour. My new unit is ultra quiet and you can really feel the difference in the heat evenly distributed throughout the home. Cullins is awesome!!

Responsive to call, set up appointment, timely for appointment and service as expected

Given the scope of the project we were confident that they would do a good job and they have. We were pleased to work with Jeff Cullins to plan and both technicians performed the work were professional and knowledgeable.

He was great. He called before arriving so I knew when to expect him. He put booties on so as not to get my carpet dirty. And...even though I kept trying to pay him for the service call, he wouldn't take *any* money because he said "he hadn't done anything". I disagree with that; he fixed a leak that could have ruined my air conditioner if left unattended and he reassured me that nothing was wrong with the unit. He also didn't try to sell me anything, which I noticed was a critique of other customers. I'll *definitely* call them the next time I need maintenance work or repairs done to my A/C or furnace!

They are great. When we bought our house ten years ago, we just stayed with them because their service was so great. They come out twice a year. They have a great follow-up program. They charge $100 a year for their services. We will continue to use them in the future.

The old system was 23 years old and although it still worked, the house was never comfortable and the system was somewhat noisy and becoming expensive to maintain. Cullin's installers were very professional and skilled and completed the job in under six hours.They were very neat and except for the fact that I have two new pieces of equipment, you would never know they were here. The house was immediately more comfortable and the system is quieter. The warranties and guarantees are outstanding; one of the reasons I went with Cullins One Hour.

I thought they were too expensive for the programmable thermostat so I did not go ahead with that. I haven't really compared them to anyone else, but their prices do seem a little high. The units are working so the quality of work must be pretty good. They have always been responsive when I needed them and come out on time.

They come out on a yearly basis and we pay them once a year for minimum repairs. The last time we used their services was in this spring to service our heating and air conditioning unit. We also pay them on a monthly basis, as we are the members of their club. I like their service, as they were always out here right away whenever I had any problem and I don’t have to wait for 2 or 3 days to get something fixed. They always put on booties on their shoes when they come in. They park on the street to make sure that there wouldn’t be any oil leak in the driveway. They are a service oriented company and I will use them again in the future.

They are impressive and a local company, but we were happier with the price from our regular furnace man.

They were very considerate, quiet while working, polite and they were also efficient with completing the work. They also protected my floors from scratches while working.

Cullins One Hour installed a new heating and air conditioning unit in January of 2005. In January, 2009 we contacted Cullins when the temperature in our home dropped overnight from the high 60's to low 50 degrees. It was shortly after some snow and ice, so we thought perhaps the outside unit was not functioning correctly. The furnace had been checked about three weeks before, and we had renewed our Comfort Club membership at that time. Richard arrived promptly, and was very courteous and professional, fixing the problem quickly. That night, it happened again... We ended up having a Cullins repair person at our home almost daily for 5 days. Eventually the problem was fixed, and we had heat again. Every representative was professional, courteous, and on time. Due to our Comfort Club membership, and the time it took to repair the problem, we only paid the original $130 for the first fix. Yes, it did take a little time to find a solution, and we were a bit chilly for a few days, but overall the experience with Cullins One Hour was positive. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future-they stand behind their work and make it right for the customer!

Tech arrived timely, explained what he would do and addressed my questions.

The owner, Jeff Cullins, met with me to discuss my wants and needs. He toured the basement with me and explored all of the different options related to installation. As promised, he came back a week later to see me with an estimate, and we signed an agreement on the spot(with my placing 50% down). The generator was in stock and could be shipped immediately, so all that remained was checking local codes and acquiring all relevant permits. We scheduled the installation for the following Wednesday, and two technicians showed up at my door promptly at 9:00 a.m. on the agreed upon day to begin work both inside and outside my home. All of the preliminary work was done that day, and everything was put back in order and in clean condition. When the workers returned the next day, again promptly at 9:00 a.m., they went about their work and again left everything in great shape. Two electricians came on Friday to complete the installation while the original workers began the testing of the unit outside the home. Everything was wrapped up by 3:00 p.m. that afternoon, and my wife and I handed over the remainder of the balance with great satisfaction. We now had the peace of mind of a standby generator in a section of town that is notorious for outages(even when no one else is experiencing them)and we had the best of experiences with the installation process itself. To say the workers were just friendly and professional is an understatement. They were knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions throughout the 3 day period, and clearly were invested in making the installation go as smoothly as possible for us. Most impressive was the fact that every time the workers entered the home they put on shoe protectors. Even more gratifying was their sensitivity to the fact that we had a 6 week old baby in the house, so we were always given a heads up about noise that would begin. The installation crew was always closing the front door gently. I'm hard pressed to come up with anything negative, but to create some sort of balance there is at least one thing they could have done to improve the service. Although not a big deal, they did keep the shipping box outside of my home for 3 days in order to throw the construction trash away. That could have been removed daily. I selected Cullins One Hour in large part because I was already so impressed with the service that I had received over the past 2 years as a customer who enrolled in their service plan for my furnace and AC. However, this decision was made even easier when I compared my first contact with Mr. Cullins to representatives of a number of other companies that I had contacted through other referrals. In those other cases, there clearly was an attitude of "we know what you need better than you do." It was great to feel heard, and Jeff Cullins did a great job of matching what I believed my family needed with the kind of work that his company could complete for us within the budget we had set.

I have used them regularly. They are responsive. They are very good at what they do. When the unit failed last winter, they were very quick to get things repaired.

The company showed up on time, were very efficient and courteous. An air filter change was needed, but we did not know where the air filters were. After the technician had left the home and was turning around, we flagged him down asking that he change the filter as we had found them. Having had a hip replacement, I was unable to go down the stairs to the basement. He came back in without any hesitation and changed the filter. This act was very nice and so much appreciated! Everything is working much better and the house is cooler. Thank you so much.

It went very well. The owner came out to give me an estimate. He was very low key and he explained everything to me. He honored a special that had expired. I did hire them. The crew that put in the equipment were very knowledgeable and nice. They arrived on time. There were a couple of problems that they fixed right away. I would recommend them to anyone.

It was an excellent process. There was no pressure and we ordered what we wanted or whatever our needs were. The installation went smoothly and they cleaned up. They were wonderful to work with. Our utilities costs have decreased by 50 to 60%.

Setting up the appointment was very easy and fit our schedule completely. Technician arrived on time and completed the job very efficiently. Answered all the questions we had to our satisfaction. Explained the maintenance program to us but was very low key about it -- no pressure to purchase at all. Cleaned up after the work was completed.

As a result of the tune-up I was quoted a price for upcoming repairs, within the next year, for the furnace and A/C of $2000. It was my impression the furnace was a candidate for replacement. Next, I then called another contractor to verify the condition of my furnace. The technician for the second company indicated my furnace was in very good condition but did need one major item repaired cost $500. I canceled my service contract with the company. I did have the company out on a previous occasion and was very happy with their work.

They did a great job. They were very organized, neat and tidy. Everything is working fine.

Excellent service - I called at 8:30 pm on the coldest night of the winter when my furnace had shut down. They were responsive and professional. They were here within 90 minutes, explained what was wrong and put in a temporary fix so we could get heat in the house. He committed to returning within a few days with the needed parts, was here when he promised and completed the work.
