The installers arrived on time and covered the carpeting with a large drop cloth. They also deposited all waste in a large container. They answered my questions during the change over and were very professional. There were no leaks at any time. They removed all existing plumbing and replaced it with new copper tubing and a moen valve that enables us to shutoff the water from the tub area. The moen valve works very well and looks fantastic. The new shower walls never need cleaning and is mildew free. The bench seat is constructed of 2x4 wood and can hold extreme weight if needed. The glass sliding doors are beautiful and there was a grab bar installed for us seniors. A separate hand held shower was installed. The company has a beautiful showroom and we were presented a temporary cost estimate at that time, and a second final estimate when Michelle came to our residence. Very pleased with the final installation.
Description of Work: They removed the existing tub, most wall tile, plumbing and replaced it with a stand-alone walk-in shower with specially treated tile to the ceiling. All fixtures were moen and a bench seat in the rear of the shower. Michelle, the owner, explained the entire process and only asked for 10% down with the balance due upon completion. The did the entire job in one day except for the sliding glass doors that had to be special ordered. They were installed about two weeks later.
They did a beautiful job. First they tore out some of the tile in the shower in order to access the plumbing and to get the old pan out. They replaced the valve and put in a new shower head. They put in the new pan and liner and doors. Everything was cleaned up well afterward, and it looked wonderful. They came back the next day to install the floor. They tore out the old linoleum, replaced the sub floor and laid the marble and grouted it. Again, it was a beautiful job. We love our new bath!
Description of Work: They installed a new liner, pan and doors as well as new plumbing for our master shower. When I told them we had purchased marble for the floor, they offered to install that for us as well.

They did a great job. They promptly arrived at 9:00. It was a quick, clean demo! The install was done about 3:30 the same day. The 2 guys were very courteous and did not mind that we were curious. I was concerned about the sliding movement on the new glass doors after they left, I called and they came out and looked at it to make sure it was right. Very easy to clean and keep clean!
Description of Work: The ~30 x 48" shower in the master was replaced with almond/granite speckled acrylic walls, white floor pan, two rectangular niches and chrome semi- frameless glass doors. We had already bought a faucet and they put that in for us too. This was a straight forward replacement without moving the plumbing or the walls.

The woman in the office however called one day and wanted to set up a showing. I wasn't at home at the time and told the girl that it would be a bit before I could get home and that I'd call her back. When I called back they denied calling at all and the saleswoman that sold me the shower and the office assistant were both nasty and rude and I've never forgotten it. There's no call for that kind of treatment.

This was a truly professional job from beginning to end. From the time we first went to their showroom, the in-house estimate that Joey gave us, to the projuct completion everything was first rate. The work was precise, excellently done with no mess to the rest of our house. They covered all the carpet, worked very neatly, and cleaned up areas spotlessly. The finished project is beautiful!

We like the tub pretty well. The materials that I picked out were not initially available, so they upgraded us to materials that were available. The installation continued to be pushed back, however, and they kept offering gifts and compensation for the delays which never came.

The project took longer than planned primarily because of some necessary changes that came up over the course of doing the work. They kept me informed throughout. They made certain that I was able to use necessary items, sinks, shower, toilet even though the project could not be completed as scheduled.
Description of Work: Multiple services. They took out the old shower, installed a jacuzzi tub and a shower. They enclosed a toilet in a small room. They also built a cabinet with shelves and drawers.

They did a good job. This took one day for each bathroom. They were very efficient and respectful of my time, they were punctual and always on time. I've had them come back out because some mildew got under the caulking. They came right out and fixed this without any hassles. I would hire them again.

All in all, it was fine. I was somewhat nervous about the problem the installer presented when he first arrived. He seemed to be talking me out of it. One word of caution-and I have read this in previous Angie's List comments-be sure you have everything in writing before the installation appointment. For example, the person who came to give me the first estimate said the installer would take my existing shower doors off, clean them and re-install. The installer said he never cleans shower doors, that it was the customer's job to do that. I did not have it in writing, but the installer went ahead and removed the old caulk with a razor blade and told me that he was trying not to scratch the chrome, but wouldn't guarantee that he could do so. He did a good job, but it did make me nervous and I was a little unsettled.
Description of Work: Our 12 yr. old (builder's choice) steel bathtub was very stained, scratched and unsightly. I researched several options and decided on Luxury Bath. I was not interested in the complete unit-my walls were fine-all I wanted was the liner to cover the tub. The estimator came out promptly and gave me a price. The wait time was only 2 weeks. On the scheduled day, the installer arrived and took one look at my tub and said he wouldn't recommend doing the liner only. He didn't think it would look good because the way the baseboard ran right up to the tub. He suggested not doing the project that day and going ahead and spending another $1200 to have the walls replaced, too. After some discussion with him, I told him to go ahead and do what we had planned. I was not interested in a complete unit. Our ceramic tile walls were in perfect shape. He did not recommend going ahead with the liner but did so at my request. In the end, it all turned out very good. The tub looks great and the installer did a very nice job caulking around the area in question. Initially, he was afraid the tub would not fit right and it would require too much caulking. After 7 days it looks fine and I hope it stays that way.

At first I thought I would just have tile that was loose replaced. But it was so old, I could not find matching size and color. So decided to cover it with a bathtub liner... Well not the tub itself, just the three walls above the tub. It looks fine, but the person who installed the faucet, a round one piece unit, put it on backward, because the red turns on the cold and the blue turns on the hot water. The first guest who used it thought it did not work. Now that I know the problem, I just warn everyone.
Description of Work: Covered existing loose, falling tile with bathtub liner in the guest bathroom. Removed loose tile..sprayed for mold control, installed liner, new fixtures and grab bar, shampoo, etc., soap holder.

We contracted with Luxury Bath in late August/early Sept. 2008 for the job. They scheduled the work for Sept. 4 and 5- shower on the 4th and vanities on the 5th. They came on the 4th, worked all day, and completely removed our old 1970's shower and installed a new one by the end of the day, a professional, neat, well-done job. We made arrangements and prepared for them to return the next day in the morning, but they never showed up and never called, the most unprofessional thing a company like this could do. Finally, we called them, and they promised to come the following Wednesday, as they were "having trouble with the granite", but offered little apology for standing us up. The following week on Sept. 10, we again made arrangements for their return, and again, they just never appeared and never called! When we called them, they said they were working on it. Then on Sept. 22, they just appeared at our front door, no calls, no warning! We were home, so they did the vanities and completed the job. It was an amazing experience, we've never been treated to this kind of total non-communication by any company before. We heard nothing, until Sept. 22
Description of Work: Luxury Bath installed a complete new shower and solid surface vanity top with fixtures in our master bath and a new granite vanity top with fixtures in the first floor half bath.

The product itself is beautiful. It is such a dramatic improvement from our old shower. My specific comments are: 1) the owners are very personable & attentive when they come out to show you your options & give you a quote 2) the product is beautiful & there are a lot more choices when compared to other service companies we got quotes from- plus there is a showroom 3) the installation was flawless except for a big crack in our wall (we have old plaster walls) that I'm sure happened when they were trying to break the old tub out (cast iron). I thought they might break the tile so I asked the owner & she said they would fix it if they did. Luckily, that didn't happen, but there was a crack in the wall and the installer told me it was there beforehand. Hmm. After signing on the dotted line, I changed my mind on the color of towel & shower curtain rods. (From white to silver). I left numerous numerous messages to get that fixed the week before they came out and actually talked to a person the day before. The day of installation, they arrived with the white instead of silver. I tried to get them to deliver the silver and was told they didn't have time. The installers wouldn't go and get it so I actually left the house, drove to the showroom and picked it up. I wasn't really happy about that since I had gone to such great lengths to make sure it was right in the first place. The only other thing I wasn't happy about is that since then I've had to make a couple of follow-up calls and don't get a response from the messages that I've left. The installers did a good job other than that though - they even moved the level of the showerhead for us since we are both tall & the original was too low. Summary: Beautiful product, don't deviate from what is written in the original paperwork, good installation but be sure to get in writing what they will fix if there is any collateral damage from removing your existing structures. Follow-up might be a challenge. They aren't bad, I just wish the service was as stellar as the product.
Description of Work: They ripped out our old 'do it yourself' shower liner & our cast iron bath tub and replaced it with a Jetta bath tub of our choice & lined the walls with the luxury bath system & installed new fixtures.

I was very happy with the work performed. I have had them out before to re-caulk my bathrooms. This is an important part of the upkeep on my shower and bath systems. I thought I could save some money by doing the job myself. I tried removing the old caulk and no matter what tools I purchased to make the job "easier", I simply could not do the job. The man from Luxury bath does this for a living and he was worth every penny and then some. Both of my bathrooms look like brand new.

After their initial instillation, the work was not done correctly, (caulking was wrong), which they admitted. We then had a very hard time getting our point across to them, and when they came out to fix the problem(s), we asked them to fix the entire problem, but the worker was told to only fix a portion of it. We now have additional problems with the (poorly installed) caulking, but we are unable to fix it ourselves, as this voids the warranty. Further, we have not been able to get them to return to our house to fix this problem, after letting them know about it several months ago.
Description of Work: They gave us an estimate, which was the lowest of the many that we received. They then tore out an old shower system, and replaced it with their own.

I felt like I was dealing with amateurs. I had to cancel appointments in order to be there when they could come. I have an older dog I take to the vet weekly and I couldn't make that appt due to them coming. When we set up the initial appt, we asked for help with a slow running drain which they said they could help with but when they got there they told us they wouldn't be able to perform this service, so we had to hire a sewer repair company to do this work when we were under the impression that Luxury could help us. They charged us for a white handle in the shower (that turns the water on) that we never received. This whole experience has just been an absolute nightmare.
Description of Work: They were suppose to start the remodeling job on March 31 and called 40 minutes before appt to cancel. They came back on April 6 and they cut one of the walls too short. Also when they left, the sink and shower were both leaking. I called the office the next day to have someone out to fix the leaking and basically had to throw a fit to get someone out because all their workers were in Cleveland. I told them I was an Angie's List member and they magically provided a worker to come out to help me. I only have one bathroom so I needed someone to fix this problem as soon as possible. They came out and fixed the leak, left and called later that week to tell me the new wall they ordered was in. All in all they ended up coming to our house 5 times to repair work they had previously done.

THERE WAS IN FACT A DELAY IN THE LUCAS'S INSTALLATION BUT MRS. LUCAS NEGLECTED TO MENTION THAT LB FIRST VISITED THEIR HOME APRIL 16, 2007. MARCH 16, 2008, ALMOST ONE YEAR LATER, THE MEMBER'S CONTACTED THE LB OFFICE TO CONFIRM THEIR PROJECT. ALTHOUGH THE INSTALLATION WAS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 31, 2008 THE SIGNED CONFIRMATION AND/OR DEPOSIT WAS NOT RECEIVED UNTIL APRIL 2, 2008. IN AN EFFORT OF ACCOMMODATING THEIR SCHEDULE THE MATERIAL WAS RECEIVED AND THE INSTALLATION WAS RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 6, 2008. DUE TO THE WALL SYSTEM BEING A SIMULATED TILE LOOK AND IN AN EFFORT OF LINING UP THE GROUT LINES THERE WAS AN ERROR IN CUTTING. THIS ERROR WAS POINTED OUT TO THE MEMBER'S, AND A NEW WALL WAS IMMEDIATELY ORDERED. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE SYSTEM WAS COMPLETED SO THAT IT COULD BE USED THAT SAME EVENING. THE LB OFFICE DID RECEIVE A PHONE CALL REGARDING THE SINK LEAKING AND A SERVICE WAS SCHEDULED ASAP. THEY SHOULD BE AWARE THAT LUXURY BATH SERVICES ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS IN A TIMELY MATTER, NOT JUST ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS. THE OWNER, MICHELLE ALEXANDER, VISITED THEIR HOME TO DISCUSS THEIR CONCERNS. AN ADDITIONAL SERVICE WAS SCHEDULED AND THE WALL WAS REPLACED, I AM DELIGHTED THE GROUT LINES MATCHED THE OTHER WALLS PERFECTLY, THE SLIGHT LEAK WAS REPAIRED AND A NEW LIGHT COVER FOR THE CEILING WAS PURCHASED AND PROVIDED. A WHITE HANDLE WAS PROVIDED BUT UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO THE FAUCET BEING A MOENTROEL (TEMP. MEMORY) VALVE THE HANDLE WAS NOT COMPATIBLE. A DISCOUNT WAS NOT EXTENDED DUE TO AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE NEVER BEING ADDED. IN FACT, DUE TO THE INCREASE IN COST OF MATERIAL AND ACRYLIC BEING A PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCT LB INCURRED A PRICE INCREASE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2008. THE MEMBER'S WERE EXTENDED THE SAME PRICING AS OUTLINED A YEAR AGO. LUXURY BATH HAS BEEN COMPLETING BATHROOMS IN CENTRAL OHIO FOR OVER 13 YEARS AND PRIDE OURSELVES ON OUR IMPECCABLE REPUTATION OFFERING OUR CUSTOMERS A SUPERIOR PRODUCT AT AN EXCELLENT VALUE. THIS CAN BE CONFIRMED BY REVIEWING OTHER ANGIE'S LIST REPORTS OR CONTACTING THE BBB. MICHELLE MET WITH THEM AT THEIR HOME UPON THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT AND WAS UNDER THE UNDERSTANDING THAT ALL OF THEIR NEEDS HAD BEEN MET. LUXURY BATH WILL HONOR ALL WARRANTIES AS OUTLINED ON THE CUSTOMER AGREEMENT BUT WILL NOT COMMIT TO ANY FUTURE WORK, INCLUDING RE-CAULKS.

Entire bathroom tub, toilet, sink, fixtures and flooring were removed. Clean up was great! New tub/wall surround was added; entire walls were stripped, primed and painted; tile flooring; new custom vanity with mirror cabinet added; new toilet; lighting fixture and towel/toilet bars installed. Original bathroom did not have up to date coded electrical outlet so Luxury helped to install for me. Thank you. Worked with Michelle for the 1/2 Bath as 2nd project. Experienced a few small problems which were quickly resolved. Thank you.
Description of Work: Joey was the main person whom I worked with for the bathroom(s) refinishing projects. Full bath and 1/2 bath were gutted and remodeled with new tub, vanity, toilet, flooring, wall and fixtures. Crew members did very good work and cleaned up each day before leaving. Not well. Waited 2 months for work to be done while the tub/shower was unusable. A new employee was assigned to do the work and left unsupervised. He worked more slowly and left with the job unfinished (1-day job) He also made errors in installation and set off the smoke detector. Supervisors returned in the early evening and completed some work. Homeowner did the cleanup. Two appointments were made by the company to address remaining problems, but were not kept (without notification). Some damage to the chrome fixtures and an incorrect installation of the grab bar are not easily corrected. Someone else had to repair the caulk.

Days later, while at the old house, I called Michelle and told her how disappointed I was in LB because they had been so unresponsive. She got defensive, told me I could have someone else do the re-caulk, LB does it as a courtesy, and re-caulks are not her priority. (LB's guarantee?) However, she sent someone at 3:00 that same day. When he asked how I was going to pay, I wasn't prepared as I wasn't expecting to be scheduled immediately, and the checks were at the new house. I asked to drop a check in the mail, he said yes, and I mailed a check the next morning. Next afternoon I got a VM from Michelle accusing me of refusing to pay and threatening a lien on the house. Called her back and told her I NEVER said I wasn't going to pay, the check was mailed that morning. She claimed to have written documentation of my repeated scheduling and canceling appts, which is a total fabrication because it didn't happen. I am offended. Had planned to use LB for all the baths in my new home. No way!
Description of Work: New liners installed for bathtub and shower 11 months ago. Per Luxury Bath's guarantee, owner is required (in bold letters) to periodically recaulk with LB's patented caulk. Repeatedly called to schedule, never got a return call. Three months later, I was finally given an appt for a month and half later. Since I had already been waiting for months, I called back to try to get closer appt. Michelle would check and call me back. No call. I called and got a date slightly sooner, but it was tentative, and only if the technician had time. Michelle would let me know. She didn't call, the tech didn't show. On originally scheduled date, received a call at 8am as I am leaving for work and was told that I was the first on the tech's schedule and he would be there between 8:30 and 9. Since we had since moved to another county, I couldn't make it. I called back and asked if the tech could wait, but he had already gone to his next appt. Now the next available appt for me is in December.

SHE CONTACTED THE LUXURY BATH SHOWROOM REQUESTING HER SYSTEM BE RECAULKED AND WAS ADVISED BY THE OFFICE MANAGER, SHAWNA DAVIS, THE NEXT AVAILABLE DATE. RECAULKS ARE A SERVICE LUXURY BATH PROVIDES FOR OUR CUSTOMERS ONLY AND ARE SCHEDULED ONE DAY EACH WEEK. THE MEMBER ADVISED SHAWNA THIS DATE WOULD NOT WORK FOR HER AND REQUESTED WE CONTACT HER IN THE EVENT AN EARLIER DATE BECAME AVAILABLE. IT DID NOT. SHE, AGAIN, PHONED THE LUXURY BATH OFFICE AND DID SCHEDULE A TIME FOR A RECAULK. HOWEVER, SHE CANCELED THIS APPOINTMENT INDICATING SHE WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE AND WOULD CALL BACK ONCE SHE COULD CONFIRM HER SCHEDULE. THE MEMBER DID SCHEDULE A SECOND TIME AND CANCELED AGAIN. LUXURY BATH DID NOT CHARGE HER A CANCELLATION FEE FOR EITHER CANCELED APPOINTMENT. UNDERSTANDING THIS IS A THIS IS A RENTAL PROPERTY. SHE PHONED LUXURY BATH AGAIN BUT CONTACTED THE OWNER, MICHELLE ALEXANDER ON HER CELL PHONE INDICATING HER FRUSTRATION WITH SCHEDULING A RECAULK. MICHELLE CONTACTED THE OFFICE AND HAD A REPRESENTATIVE AT HER RENTAL PROPERTY THAT AFTERNOON. MICHELLE DID ADVISE THE MEMBER THAT IN THE FUTURE THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPANIES THAT OFFER THE SAME SERVICE. SHE STATED SHE WANTED LUXURY BATH TO RETURN BASED ON THE EXCELLENT INSTALLATION. I AM QUITE DISAPPOINTED THAT SHE WOULD USE THIS SOURCE TO PROVIDE FALSE INFO.
