Carifa Tile did an excellent job. The tile choices were restricted because we redid half the bathroom, leaving the granite counter and the bathtub in place, and the new tile needed to coordinate with the existing tile and trim. Joe suggested three places for me to find tile, and steered me to composition and color choices that would match and be practical, in stock, and easy to clean. Carifa picked up the tile I purchased, and delivered it to the house. The work was accomplished on schedule. Half the bathroom was demolished and the old shower, shower glass, and floor carried to a dumpster they placed in the drive. The new floor and shower tiles and trim look beautiful. The work was done in a 1930 Clintonville home, where no walls are true, and no floor is level, which makes the final results even more impressive. When the tiling was done Joe had a painter come by to touch up the walls and molding, and a plumber come by to reinstall the original plumbing. Both these jobs went well. The installers cracked the oak threshold, and Joe replaced it with a new threshold which he stained and sealed to match the original.

Carifa Tile did an amazing job on my kitchen job. Joe was extremely communicative and helpful every step of the process. His team did incredible work putting in a glass tile backsplash along with LED lights under the cabinets. We have a small kitchen in our condo, but the tile and lighting really makes it look spacious and luxurious. Would absolutely work with them again in the future.

We were having 2”x 2” tile installed . There was a small installation error and the new additional replacement tile was from a different lot and the colors didn’t match. Joe assured us that he would rectify everything , which he did without hesitation. We decided to go with the 18” x 36” tile which was a better color match and do an envelope design on the floor. It turned out better than we could have imagined. We are extremely happy with the craftsmanship and professionalism of all the workers and would definitely recommend Carifa Tile.

Everything went as perfectly as you could possibly hope for! From the initial evaluation, to the detailed cost estimates, to beginning and finishing the work, all was accomplished with impressive professionalism. When there was a small glitch (and there is always some glitch), they stepped right in to remedy the situation, all to our complete satisfaction. When some black grout stained some white woodwork in the hall, they sent out a painter to repaint! when a clock and towel bar in the bathroom was to be rehung on very expensive glass tile, they sent out a technician to drill and do the install (perfectly, I will add!). When an install on a lighting fixture resulted in a hole in the drywall (not Carifa's fault) they immediately sent out a handy man to re-spackle and repair the hole! What more could you want. The quality of the work was A+. They all receive our highest recommendation.

We hired this company to tile our small master bathroom. This included the shower walls and floor as well as the bathroom floor. The initial problem that we had was after they left stating the job was completed we noticed a couple of the tiles were actually cracked. We also noticed several locations that were missing grout, and that the niche tile was incorrectly pitched. We called them to let them know of the issues and they came back to correct the problems but they never fixed the niche. We then hired a company to install the shower glass only to find out that all of the tile on the walls were installed out of plumb. At this point the entire shower will need to be replaced to correct all of the issues. They said they would be out to fix at least the niche but never returned! I would not recommend this company!

Fantastic! Much of my project was DIY but I ran out of to,e to complete the job and, frankly, when it came to it I lacked confidence in my ability to do the tile work. I contacted Carifa Tile via Angie’s but had also learned about them from a friend who recommended them to me. From the start, they were very helpful in helping me realize my vision. They took over the project by finishing up the waterproofing and improving my shower pan design. Everyone who I dealt with was very good at listening to me and being careful to understand what I wanted and creative in their advice for how to realize the plan. They worked efficiently but carefully throughout the project. All the while they were very conscientious and unobtrusive as we were working from home and home schooling small young children because of the pandemic. They were neat and considerate of the home. Never leaving a mess. And, most importantly, the bathroom looks fantastic! Carifa is a great tile company to work with. I highly recommend them.

This job was done about a year ago and we were initially very impressed with the company and they did a good job on the tile. I recently contacted them again for an estimate on another job and had to reach out several times before anyone responded. Once he did respond I had a hard time scheduling a date and time for him to come out. He finally did come out, didn't seem very interested in the job, and I've been waiting almost two months now for an estimate, which has been promised multiple times. Definitely will not be using them again. Very disappointing!

They did a great job. Friendly, fast, clean, and helpful. My job was done on time and happy with the results. Joe was great to work with.

I couldn't have asked for any better workmanship and services. Joe was meticulous in each phase of the work, making excellent recommendations throughout. He was punctual, very friendly, and a skilled craftsman. I've never had a contractor who was so careful about keeping everything as clean as possible. This was not an easy job with the multi-colored stone requiring very careful cutting and placement for the outstanding result that was achieved.

Professional, friendly, and punctual CRAFTSMAN. The care and effort that goes into their work is phenomenal. As important they’re trustworthy, we felt very comfortable with Joe, Jack, and Tony in our home, I’d have no problem leaving them on their own. They were more than willing to take time to answer questions and kept us updated on the progress of the job, they managed the entire job from plumbing to electrical with their subs, taking the load off of us... truly acted as the GC for the job. They use only the best subcontractors.

In my opinion, the best feature of working with Joe was that the contractor provided all the materials, (except the tile choices) which saves time. Joe communicated with us on a daily basis and provided updates on the job progress. Joe is very detail oriented on his craft. I submitted a request for an estimate through the online request tool on angie's list. This company never responded.

I scoured Angie’s List for several days looking for someone to install a tile surround. After placing several calls, some of which I received a response to and others I didn’t, before reaching out to Tony Carifa Marble and Tile. The call was immediately answered by Joe, the owner and from our initial conversation, I could immediately tell he knew what he was doing. We originally spoke on a Tuesday and Joe was able to come out the following morning at 9am to perform an estimate (I was offered multiple days and times, but this worked best). Joe provided me an estimate within hours of his visit. There were several communications between Joe and I following his estimate, I was unable to be home when the estimate was performed, so I had several follow up questions. Joe was very patient and understanding and provided answers for each question. Once I had accepted his bid, Joe and I scheduled a time for work to begin. He could get me in within a week. Joe’s team arrived early on the day the job started. My interactions with Cody, his apprentice, was similar to my interactions with Joe. Cody briefly explained what he anticipated getting done on day 1 and immediately got to work. He took precautions to ensure nothing was damage (I had just had my floors refinished). Throughout the job, Joe and his team consistently arrived on time. While the job was not overly extensive, it did take several days to complete. During this time, Joe and I communicated on a regular basis. Communications ranged from changes in design (at my last-minute request) to recommendations regarding the use of special products (waterproofing) and what to anticipate the next day. At one point in the job, I was supposed to pick out material, purchase and have ready for the team to use, however, being unfamiliar with what was best, I called and asked for recommendations. Joe went out of his way to pick up the material on by behalf. The job finished on time and I cannot express how happy I am with how things turned out. My experience with Joe and his team during this job was so impressive that I had Joe and his team return for another tile project (kitchen backsplash). My 2nd interaction went the exact same way as the first; clearly my first experience was not a fluke. I strongly recommend Tony Carifa Marble and Tile to any looking to have tile work done.

The Carifa’s did an excellent job. The timing and price were just as planned and they asked about our opinions and preferences throughout the work. They were very professional, friendly and extremely neat with what could have been very messy stone work. Best of all, their work was top notch and shows that they are really experts in this area. I highly recommend them.

The job site was kept very neat in our home. The marble tile work is excellent and the dust was kept to a minimum. We really appreciated their knowledge and commitment to the work. This was an enjoyable experience, not something I often say in remodels! We love the new updated bathroom shower and the new tub area! It was a wonderful experience using this company. From the first communication for an appointment to the completion of the project, everyone was professional, reponsive to my questions, accommodating to my schedule, and provided quality work. 100+% satisfied. Joe and the company worked with us from start to finish. Was attentive to our needs and gave us great suggestions. Price was exceptionally reasonable. Workers all very professional, clean, collared shirts, courteous, worked around our busy family (stay at home mom and 2 boys under 3yo). Prior to demo, entire area, walls, furniture, hard wood floor meticulously protected and work area concealed in plastic wrap despite 16+ft ceilings. Cleaned work area and surrounding areas daily after work done. Work was detailed, through, attention to detail met and surpassed. Worked weekends and finished ahead of schedule and under budget. Could not give strong enough recommendation. Any further tile/brick/marble work on our home will be done by them. Phenomenal expeirence

Very well. Joe and primarily Jack did an excellent job on the backsplash, including a decorative piece behind the stove. The pieces were carefully cut to nice proportions, and the work looks great. Jack was prompt every day (3 days) and cleaned up very well afterwards each day. Having been a do it yourselfer all of my life, I appreciate the time taken for a job well done.

Joe Dismuke gave us a quote that was very reasonable for this repair. This included tearing up the previous shower floor, strengthening the subfloor, and installing a Schluter Kerdi system. He and Jack retiled the floor and replaced the tiles on the lower portion of the walls to match the existing pattern. At our request, they removed tiles from the back wall and replaced them with new so we could discard the shower tower and have the plumbing realigned for a simple shower head. We could not be happier with the work done by Joe Dismuke from Tony Carifa Marble and Tile. Joe and Jack were very professional. They were on time, kept to the schedule they had established with us, and were open to any changes we wanted to add as the project progressed. We couldn't have found anyone better to make our shower usable again.

Joe’s work was impeccable from start to finish. Joe was super detail oriented and willing to talk through the entire project with us, which was incredibly refreshing.
