This is the second job performed by Above and Beyond for us. Both experiences were first-rate. Staff was courteous and respectful of home and furnishings. Great attention to detail with professional and trustworthy staff. Tim Barton, in particular, provided a lot of guidance to us in making our final decisions regarding accents and use of colors in strategic areas to set-off decorating scheme, and was very willing to make adjustments after the project began. We were very pleased with the final project and will definitely call them again.

Tim came right on time for the estimate, was very polite and business-like. When the time came for the actual painting, all was prepared, including covering the furniture and drop cloths on the floor. They covered everything! The painters were polite and friendly, but with a sense of humor that I enjoyed very much. They did a great job! And just like their company name says, they really went ABOVE & BEYOND!!!!

We contacted Above and Beyond Painting based on the positive reviews they had received from other Angie s List members. We arranged for two additional painting companies to provide estimates for the same work. The owner of Above and Beyond Painting, Tim Barton, came personally to perform the estimate. Tim was very professional and took great care in explaining their complete process from starting preparation to final completion. We were very impressed when Tim pointed out imperfections on the walls that would be fixed to ensure quality results. Tim s quote was competitive and we selected Above and Beyond to perform the work. Throughout the job, the crew showed up on time, they were professional and courteous, respectful of our home, and cleaned up after themselves. As sticklers for detail, their work was of the highest quality and they truly cared to do the job well and about our satisfaction. Tim and his staff exceeded our expectations and will be our first choice every time!

Tim came out to provide a free estimate. Typically I like to get 3 quotes from Angie's List Top performers, but Tim was so knowledgeable and price competitive that we hired him on the spot. Most importantly he explained what he was going to do in a way both my wife and I could understand and trust. Tim and his crew did not disappoint. No job ever goes as smooth as it looks, and this was the case here. My son's room needed 3 coats due to some streaking from the paint...they did so at no questions asked. The guest bedroom had nail pops across a whole wall...they spackled, added 2 coats no questions asked. I pulled off 3 towel racks and a toilet paper holder that the builder glued to the walls and I left a pretty big mess...they spackled and finished no questions asked. The painting is impeccable and we couldn't be happier. They truly go the extra mile to make it right and kept us informed of what was going on. We look forward to them painting our basement very soon!

We were pleased with Tim from the time he came to estimate the job. He worked with us to schedule the job to fit our changing schedule. He and his team were clean cut, professional and friendly. As I am a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to share my house with people who were respectful to me, my family and my property, and I definitely got that with this crew. Not only did they paint, but they also cleaned the high windows while they were up on the tall ladders. When one crew member asked me for Windex so he could clean my foyer's light fixture, I was just thrilled. (And he did that when the boss was not even present.) "Above and beyond" actions such as these made a great impression on me, as did the quality of the painting job. Tim was there for the majority of the project, and I appreciated talking with him throughout the project to understand the progress and be sure we continued to "be on the same page". The job was completed on time, on budget, and my house looks great!

The project went well. The garaged was prepped and painted to my satisfaction. It was done on time and the work was done neatly.

Tim is one of the most professional contractors that I have dealt with. He was very thorough. He explains his painting process which included sanding all walls to remove imperfections and caulking baseboards and door trim. Tim and his crew were very careful with our furniture and they made sure all surfaces were covered with drop cloths. The finished product is excellent. The lines between the walls and ceilings are straight and well defined. His estimate for the job was fair and he was upfront about potential additional costs associated with our paint selections. He arrived on time and his crew did a good job of cleaning up. In addition, Tim started the job on a Friday and my wife was hosting a party on the following Wednesday. Tim assigned additional painters to the job to make sure it was completed before the party. In the future, if we have painting to be done, we know who to call.

I highly recommend Tim and all his crew. They did go above and beyond our expectations. We had all kind of jobs to do, but little things like painting all my flower boxes to match the deck was unexpected and appreciated. Communication is very important to Tim, so in each step he listened to what I wanted and made sure we both clearly understood each other. I thought the exterior guys were awesome, but the interior guys were just as good.

We called Tim to tell him that we were moving and getting estimates on re-painting what he painted so nicely for us last year. I informed him that we needed the house painted within the week if possible. We received three estimates from other painters from Angie's List. Mr. Barton was sympathetic to our situation and did not charge us more than he charged the previous year to paint the same areas of the house. As a result, his estimate came in at least $300 less than the others AND he was able to start painting the house within 48 hours. He and his crew arrived when they said and started painting the day we moved out of the house. He was finished within 48 hours. I was told by the Realtor that the house looks "great." I must rave about Mr. Barton for many reasons, namely his talent at painting and his emphasis on professionalism. He was willing to work with us on a tight time line and gave us a great price. Tim is a trustworthy, true-to-his-word kind of man.

Delivery of estimate, wallpaper removal and painting went well. Tim and his assistants were respectful and professional. We are very happy with the results. I was impressed with how successful they were with the wallpaper removal. (Previously, we had removed wallpaper in two bedrooms ourselves, which was frustrating and resulted in some wall damage.) The only problem we had was with the outsourcing we had to do for the kitchen and foyer drywall to be prepped for painting after the wallpaper was removed. In retrospect, I should have asked more questions about this when we first went over the estimate with Tim. Tim recommended someone to do the drywall prep, and I went with the person he referred, rather than getting 3 estimates from the List, because the project was midstream and I was anxious to get on with the painting. Tim was not satisfied, however, with the drywall prep, and I felt as though I was put "in the middle" trying to work things out.

We loved the paint job and highly recommend Above and Beyond to anyone who needs interior painting! If we need painting again, we will call this company as they are outstanding. Tim and his crew were very professional, they did an outstanding job of painting, and they 'bent over backwards' to explain everything to us. Tim contacted us multiple times per day with work updates and any questions he may have had. At the end of every work day everything was cleaned up very neatly and furniture was put back into place. The job took about 7 days to complete and was completed on time. We had them go back and repaint the master bedroom in a different color, but that we our fault. We did not do a very good job in our initial color selection for this room. Again, I highly recommend this company for interior painting. I can not image how it could have progressed any smoother than it did.

Tim painted my house last October when I first bought it. I was under a tight time frame to have it painted before I moved in and although Tim had other jobs he was working he came very close to my estimated date of completion. He stayed on top of the progress and kept me informed of when he expected each room to be completed. We made minor negotiations throughout the job. I am very pleased with the work and my house is at least 7 different colors. He matched and blended where it made sense. He was very specific on what he was doing. My husband and I are very pleased with the work and our house is beautiful. Tim and his crew were very easy to work with. I thought I submitted this months ago but I guess it was never recorded on Angie's list.

The project was done to 100% perfection and the painters were very well-mannered and considerate of the fact that we had two small children. They moved our furniture and did repairs as needed to the walls. I was impressed that they washed my high windows for me, too. We are looking forward to having them back soon to do the rest of the house. I was amazed by the ease and excellence of the whole process.

Tim Barton returned my call promptly, gave an estimate, and gave me specific details as to what to expect. He was very professional. Because it was a small job, he was able to fit it in at the end of the same week that I hired him.

Work was started and completed on time. Repair work was done well, painting was excellent. Contractor cleaned up all areas quite well. Communication as to start and finish times, problems, etc. was excellent. Would recommend without reservation.

This is my second time using Above and Beyond Painting because my wife and I were so pleased with the quality of work performed the first time around. Tim and his partner Brian did an outstanding job. They even came out to perform the work on a Saturday since we needed the painting done sooner. Tim and his team were on time, took special care in keeping our home clean, did an amazing paint job, and a great clean up. I consider myself to be a perfectionist and I have to say that the painting around the ceiling and molding looked awesome with clean, straight razor sharp lines. They even made sure that walls which had drywall work performed were primed properly before being repainted. I highly recommend Tim and this team. We plan on having them come back a third time to paint our upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms.

The work was OK. He and a one person came to the house to prep both bathrooms work on the first day. (After two re-schedules). The next day the work was completed. The problems incurred- did not cover items in the bathroom which me work in scrapping paint from the sink, tub and floor. They missed skimming walls some areas in the bathroom. I think the money that was charged for the service was too much for the lack of detail. I admit is it my fault for waiting to check work after the contractor left since they were referred with great rating it overlooked it initially and I was leaving for military duty and did not have time.

Tim (owner), Brian and Scott (painters) did an outstanding job for us. Tim went over the procedure step-by-step to let us know exactly how they would get the job done. He was able to schedule the job for a week that was convenient for us. Brian and Scott are excellent painters; the finished product is absolutely gorgeous. They were on time every day and worked nonstop, except for a short lunch break. Tim stopped in every day to check on the progress. They got the job done in the amount of time they said they would. When they were finished, they rehung the window treatments, vacuumed the carpet, and moved the furniture back in. We will definitely use Above and Beyond Painting for any future painting jobs we have.

The company was not flexible or understanding and unreasonable due to not giving our refund back because of relocation 2 days after giving him a deposit.

Once again, they did a professional job. It took less than two days to do two coats in each room which is more miraculous when you consider the time involved in the caulking portion Were it not for that, they probably would have finished in one day. Above & Beyond will do any painting I need done from now on as there is absolutely no reason to look elsewhere. They are very fairly priced, timely, courteous and I still don't know how they keep there edge lines so straight. There is never so much as a drop of paint where it shouldn't be and that goes for the ceilings, carpet and floors. You will be settling for less than the best if you hire anyone else. They still have one more interior room to do and I am planning on them doing outdoor trim and the garage at a later time.

I did not have to work performed by this company because their estimate was twice that of estimates I received from three other companies.

Tim and his crew did an excellent job and everything looks great! The painting was very neat and professionally done. The edge lines were perfect. They washed all switch/outlet plates, light fixtures, and air vents. They moved all the furniture back after the job was done. Tim and his crew are very polite and friendly. I highly recommend them. I will hire them again to do additional work.

My wife and I built a new home 2 years ago. The builder suggested we not paint for at least one year, and we waited nearly 18 months before she couldn't take the bland walls anymore. We did our research and had 3 or 4 painters in for estimates. Tim Barton and Above & Beyond Painting stood out in our eyes, and now I know we were correct in our choice. One of the many things we enjoyed in our experience with Above & Beyond Painting was their professionalism. They were on time, neat, careful in our home, very polite, and cleaned nightly. When my wife wanted some extra work done, Tim (who was onsite 4 of 6 days as I recall) was more than accommodating. We were very happy with the work done by Above & Beyond Painting. Make no mistake, no one is perfect and in today's world few remember that years ago pride in ones work was common and perfection was expected. I believe we saw that type of pride with Tim Barton's Above & Beyond Painting.

Mr. Barton responded promptly to my call. He came over and did a free estimate and scheduled the job at our convenience. He and his associate did a great job. They worked fast, neat and the room looks great.
