Tim and his three man crew were excellent. They showed up on time each day until our job was completed and even completed it a little ahead of schedule. The used quality paint products and tools. We added a few small items while work was in progress. They were all polite, neat and professional. There moved and covered our furniture and decorative items. Tim kept my wife and I informed of the plan and progress. We were very happy with their work and really could not have asked for or expected a better job.

I have been using Above and Beyond for over 15 years and would never dream of using anyone else. They have painted my entire house, in and out, over the past years. I am a perfectionist and I have never found so much as a crooked line or a drop of paint anywhere. The owner is the bomb and he maintains the same painters for years so you don't get that high turnover rate and therefore, always know what to expect - PERFECTION!

When we bought our house 4 years ago one of the most striking features was the 35' x 25' 'Great Room' which had cedar panel walls and a vaulted wood ceiling with heavy wooden beams, plus a hard wood floor. Yes, it looked like some kind of hunting lodge. Some loved it, but we didn't - too dark. We decided to paint the whole thing white - walls, ceiling, window frames, huge brick fireplace - the lot. The challenge was the size, and painting over cedar and brickwork that would need to be sealed. We approached various contractors, and prices varied hugely, with some admitting that they just didn't want the job because it was too much work. Tim at Above and Beyond was very responsive and professional and gave us some good suggestions, and ultimately we felt very comfortable going ahead with him. His team didn't disappoint. A year later and it still looks great.

Excellent work and care comes with this company. I hated the interior color that was in the home when we built it. We only had walls done but it was over 3800 sq ft of interior space. They have a process they follow and are very methodical and clean. They take great care in your belongings, help move things back, rehang pictures, etc. every single thing was covered. They asked us daily if we had questions before they left and the very next morning when they arrived, knowing we probably took a look around. If there were concerns, we never had to tell them twice. We are hiring them again and looking forward to having them do the interior of our 3-car garage. An added bonus was caulking as well as using a light on walls to check and fix imperfections. 2 coats were used and we couldn’t have been more pleased.

We are so happy with their job. Our rooms look fantastic! We would most definitely use Above and Beyond Painting again. Tim (owner/operator) was so helpful in helping us select the paint colors. We have an open concept home so the foyer was a little tricky when it came to what color(s) we should use. The painters were meticulous yet fast too. The entire crew was friendly, courteous, and extremely neat. Truly, Above and Beyond Painting went "above and beyond". We have very high ceilings, so Tim suggested that the painter replace our smoke detector battery while he was on his ladder. May seem like a little thing but we hate bringing our big, heavy ladder into the house to reach that smoke detector!

Quick response on performing a field visit to measure and provide quote. Once we agreed on services, and were scheduled, crew was punctual and put in three solid days of painting, two coats to complete the project. Work involved a thorough check of the wall surfaces to remove and repair defects. Moved all furnishings and did a fabulous job. Communicated throughout the process to relay work plan and expectations. Will be using again for next painting project.

Tim and his crew were able to schedule our work into our schedule to allow us to complete the additional renovation in our condo. They were punctual, professional, and completed the work on time. The attention to detail was impressive also

From the moment I met with Tim for a walk through I was impressed with how professional he was and how he made me feel like he had a genuine interest in my home and the work I needed done. Everything Above and Beyond did turned out AMAZING. I am SO impressed and happy. It's been almost three months since the work has been completed and Tim is still extremely responsive to my questions and requests for minor touch ups caused by my kids. I am looking forward to having Tim and his team at Above and Beyond come out to work on cabinets for me in the future. Tim and his company did a fantastic job across the board. They worked with my wife and I to go through many trials of stain colors for our banister to make sure that they were the perfect match with our floors. They did an excellent job at repairing damaged drywall and ensured that all areas were properly covered with drop clothes. The fresh paint job looks amazing and would definitely recommend Tim and his professional crew.

We had installed new windows and door in our three season room and wanted a new coat of paint to freshen it up to match. The work was done with quality precision and turned out beautifully. This is the third project we’ve had Tim and his crew paint since we moved into our house 3 years ago, and I won’t ever have anyone else paint our house. We also had him re-paint a room to a new color for our new baby-to-be’s nursery. They always do a fantastic job! I receive so many compliments on our painting.

Their work is superb! Very dependable and responsive. Amazing expertise and competitive price. They go the extra mile. They found the perfect paint color specialist to help me choose colors for my home when I was having considerable difficulty doing so, and they brought the manager of a local paint store over to get additional input regarding concerns I had about painting wood veneer. Their employees are punctual, hard-working, and just nice to have around children. The painters work very quickly and neatly from many years of experience. I have used this company for many years and wouldn't think to call anyone else in the future.

The bidding was thorough and fair, the work was timely (Unlike my review. Sorry about that, Tim!), and the crew was extremely attentive to my needs and concerns. “Above and Beyond” is approximately named.

Above And Beyond Painting - extremely professional, thorough, and well priced. Tim Barton came to our place for an estimate and he was great. This is the 2nd time we have used his company and again no complaints! He and his team really make sure you are getting what's right for you and at a reasonable and fair price. I appreciated the time he took to explain his company's approach in general and what to expect. You can tell he takes great pride in his business. He even included some touch ups for free I would definitely recommend them again and again!

Our most recent project, Tim & his team painted the rusting roof valleys of our house. His brave painter Bennie traversed our 3-story roof, sweeping debris from and sanding the valleys, then painted them. Another great job.

When a scheduled May 9th meeting to review project (from prior fall) and paint colors could not occur at 3:30 pm as scheduled (Tim Barton did call at 3:15, just before the meeting time to say he would be late, and could meet after 5:00), meeting could not occur due to my prior arrangement; I suggested 2 alternative first morning times, but they were not possible, and Tim offered a date to meet after a scheduled start date of May 15. From my perspective, his schedule was more important than meeting up with the customer. Frustrated we were being delayed further, I suggested we cancel the project, and requested return of unearned deposit. Tim Barton indicated he would return $320 within a month; this did not happen. Followed up with many text messages (retained them) wherein Tim Barton changed his mind several times - indicating he did not need to return any deposit; he would return half or $160; and lastly he would return none. IMPORTANT: Tim Barton (owner) is a difficult personality. His word is not trustworthy - waffles, changing what he says he will do. This capricious, difficult personality trait leaves me wondering how a work discrepancy would be resolved after service (he is right and the customer is incorrect). Tim Barton was provided many opportunities to return $320 (unearned deposit) to resolve the issue; he is aware that a failure to refund $320 would result in my submitting comments on Angie's List and BBB (with the potential impact on business being difficult to know). I filed a BBB complaint (with text message document) on 6/15 and to date he has not responded. I would never hire his firm, and/or would not recommend it to friends. I would welcome Tim Barton honoring his verbal commitment to return the $320 unearned deposit (and will update this review if such occurs).

Everything went very well. Tim was recommended by the contractor who put in our deck. He came out within a couple of days to give an estimate,,based upon the price, we immediately signed and were scheduled to be complete within a month and a half. We were able to get scheduled sooner than expected and the work was completed in one day! The two men who came to stain were professional and did a great job on everything. They provided guidance on how long to wait before using. I would definitely hire Above and Beyond again.

Once again, Angie's list helped me find an outstanding service provider. Tim scheduled an appointment to give me a quote immediately after I left a message. He was friendly & professional & was able to schedule my job within a tight window around other work I was having done. His crew did a beautiful job and didn't leave a speck of mess. One of the painters even used his ladder to change some light bulbs for me... truly going above & beyond! I will be using this contractor again.
