We scheduled to meet for an estimate on April 11th at 2pm, but Tim did not show up. His wife called us at 7pm and said he was called out of town. We rescheduled and he came out on April 21 for a bid and he came back on April 29 so I could pay him the $300 deposit. After I paid the deposit, I waited three weeks for Tim to try and schedule a work date. He promised to have work done before the beginning July. The only attempt he made to schedule the service was during the end of May for a three day window when I only had two days available. We played phone tag for almost two months before I called and asked for my deposit to be refunded. Tim said that the deposit is nonrefundable, but the contract does not state this. He then offered a 50% refund, but I wanted a full refund since the work had not been completed. He explained that since he attempted to schedule the work one time that I should not get my deposit back. On June 25th he told me he would return my $300 deposit back. I never received it and waited until July 27th to hear back from him. Tim explained that he thought about it and only wants to refund me half of the deposit totaling to $150. It has been another week and I still have not received the refund. I chose Above And Beyond Painting because he had great reviews and I wanted the inside of my home painted. At this point, I no longer want service from Tim and only want my full refund.

Tim, the owner, arrived to look at the work we wanted done. He inspected all the rooms and asked questions (did we want the ceilings painted?, the closets painted? number of coats, etc). He explained in detail how they prepare the surface first, would wash the switchplate covers before reinstalling, and provided a detailed estimate for each room in case we did not want to have all the rooms painted at the same time. Tim indicated that his goal, should we choose him as the contractor, was that we be completely satisfied. We ended up having the 3 rooms and garage door done all at once. The workers were professional and cleaned up after themselves. The work was done when they said it would be done. We were completely satisfied. We would definitely use this company again.

Bottom line: The name says it all! Above and Beyond Painting offers above and beyond service and quality! Not a single hiccup from start to finish despite the enormous size of our project. Could not be happier! Our experience: After living for nearly 6 years with builder's white, we made the big decision to paint our entire house in one fell swoop. We got quotes from a few different painting companies but given the size of the project, the potential degree of disruption to our household and lack of time for removing pictures, TVs, furniture etc. by ourselves, we kept hesitating. Then we met Tim (owner) of Above and Beyond. Tim's punctuality and flexibility were immediately apparent when we not only got an immediate response to our phone call but also an after hours visit for an intial estimate to accommodate our hectic schedules. He gave us a detailed quote (including any priming needs, number of coats, cost of different quality grades of paint along with his recommendation). His was the only quote that included all the extras mentioned above such as moving furniture, removal/ rehanging of wall hangings/ closet shelves, patching of wall surfaces etc. This was super critical for us since we wanted to redecorate the house as part of the painting project. Tim patiently consulted with us through 6 years worth of paint chip collections and helped us arrive at confident paint decisions (trusted his judgement more than that of the paint consultant!). He arrived with his team on time on project start day, went over project details and began work. Additionally, he gracefully accommodated other contractor's schedules, our 5 day vacation in the midst of painting and took the responsibility of taking care of our house (lock up, security system etc.) while we were away. I did change my mind on one of the color choices after the room was done (which ended up increasing the original estimate to the final tally above) but Tim fit this into the schedule and made triple sure that I would be happy with the second go around. Work was fast, error proof and perfect (eg. the perfect finish of the paint edges between accent and main walls). When we returned from vacation we had a fully painted house ready to be redecorated! Of course, took us a while to finish redecorating, get the house looking worthy of its walls and sit down to write this glowing review! Now the house is all done and looks fit to be in a magazine. Tim responded to my initial call and setup an appointment the same day to provide an estimate for the work. He was prompt and provided the estimate quickly. I thought that the pricing was excellent given the amount of work to be done. He also recommended the most cost-effective way to paint our interior doors while providing a great finish. We scheduled the work to be done a few days later. The painting of the doors took an entire day plus a couple of additional hours the next morning, which was expected. The doors turned out perfectly - they looks as though they had been sprayed, but were painted by roller and brush. They also took time to perform clean-up and put everything back. The exterior trim painting required a lot of prep work to fill nail holes and caulk joints in the trim that had been replaced. Tim's assistant did an excellent job on the prep work and the painting to create a great finished product. Tim also had the paint matched perfectly to the existing trim paint. Tim also was very good at communicating when they would arrive ahed of time and always called me if there was any change in plans. I would definitely use Above and Beyond Painting again for any painting needs.

If you have painting needs - hire Tim Barton. I have never met anyone who cares so very much about providing excellent care and customer service. Tim even volunteered to come back to "touch" up spots that were bumped when the garage door was installed. His work is superb - I defy anyone to match his quality of work and the price he charges. Also in the price above is some additional work Tim did for us since he had the exterior stain and paint. He also scraped and painted deck stairs and lintels above our front windows (that were never painted and were now rusty). Believe me, the interior of our garage looks better than some people's living rooms thanks to Tim's wonderful work. Wish I could give A+.

Tim and his helper were very professional and courteous. It is clear that Tim is very meticulous with his work. He used a primer and two coats of high quality paint. He fully explained the schedule with the job details. They fully cleaned-up the work area afterwards, swept the floor and moved all furniture back to their original spots. Tim asked me several times if I was satisfied. He even provided me with another contractor's name to assist me with wallpaper removal and drywall repairs. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend Above & Beyond Painting!

Great communication from start to finish. Tim and his crew were detail-oriented, on time, responsive and professional. Plus, his price was the best of the three bids I received for the job. He's my new go-to guy for painting and I'll be recommending him to friends and neighbors. Fantastic!

Tim and his team were excellent. Tim subcontracted the drywall work, but both were on time, courteous and respectful of our home. They were able to find the right equipment to repair the damaged ceiling which was two stories above the great room floor. The drywallers did an excellent job and I was amazed that we can not even tell there was a three foot hole in the ceiling and they did a great job repairing the corners and nail pops around the rest of the ceiling. After the drywall was repaired Tim came in to paint the ceiling, he even took the time to correct areas adjacent to the ceiling along the walls. All worked quickly and did a great job cleaning up from the drywall work. Will definitely work with them again to do more painting jobs around the house.

I can't say enough about the great experience we had with Tim and his Above and Beyond crew. From the first phone call to completion, they were responsive, professional, and dependable. In spite of winter weather causing gridlock on the scheduled painting day, they arrived and completed the job on schedule. Their results were outstanding, an extremely professional painting job. We'll definitely call Tim the next time we need any interior or exterior painting. I highly recommend Above and Beyond Painting.

Tim was a dream to work with. I have never worked with a contractor that is as responsive as Tim. Each phone call was answered or returned very quickly. Tim and his crew always showed up on time, and they even completed our job in less time than previously thought. Tim has either hired the best crew around or they have watched and learned from him. They are all very polite and cautious about keeping your home clean and in the shape they found it. We loved the final product - our rooms look wonderful. He was professional and seemed like a nice guy but it ended up being more expensive than their competitors.

Tim and his crew did an amazing job at a fantastic price! We originally hired them to do one large job. They did such a great job that we had them return two days later to paint our kitchen and dining room. Prior to painting they patched all holes and repaired any drywall imperfections, and removed all switch plates, outlet covers, railings, etc. In addition to the professional paint job, they included a number of "value-added" extras. They cleaned the switch plates and outlet covers, washed my second story foyer window, and swept or vacuumed the rooms they painted at the time of clean up. Tim, the owner, communicated with us throughout the entire process. Tim is the key to the excellent work and service. On the day that his crew was here while he was at another job, the work was not quite as perfect as it was when Tim was overseeing the previous three days of work. I know that all I have to do is call Tim and he will come out and touch up anything we are dissatisfied with. Tim is all about SERVICE and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. And his painting is great too! I highly recommend Above and Beyond Painting.

I think that they gave the quote the same day. They had good ratings on Angieslist. I guess we ended up finding someone cheaper.

The estimate was right on. He was very good to work. He left some paint for touch up later on.

Outstanding service. Tim and team listened carefully to our needs, took care of everything from preparing the walls to moving furniture, covering furniture and floors, cleaning up each day and checking in each day to see what we thought and get our input. Truly exceptional service. They painted perfectly. All angles were clean and neat and lines were straight. Quality was top notch. They took extra care in making sure everything was how we wanted it and worked until everyone was happy with the job.

The estimate was completed in an appropriate time and the price was competitive with another painting estimate. This company appeared professional and seemed to provide quality work. I did not choose this company because I was able to schedule the other company (same price).

Called for estimate and Tim Barton arrived at scheduled time. Recieved quote while he was here. After getting several other quotes, called Tim and he returned to answer remaining questions and we scheduled job. Tim worked within our complex schedules to do the job when we were there. Completed within estimated time. Made several positive suggestions. He used the paint that I wanted and didn't push his preferred high priced paint. Workmanship was excellent and I have no negative comments. Would definitely use his services again.( NOTE: This the firstm time in my life that I have paid someone to paint a room of my house but as I have gotten older, my knees don't handle ladders very well. I consider myself an excellet painter and their workmanship deserves my praise).

Wonderful. Very punctual for estimate. Waited about a month from deposit till start of job but WELL WORTH THE WAIT. During the actual project they were very punctual, professional and easy to work with. Tim and his crew are very good at what they do. My walls were in terrible shape and they are now perfect. The prep processed used is terrific. In addition, the repair to my ceiling is very good. Only I know where it is and with textured ceilings that is difficult to do. I have recommended them to others and they are equally as thrilled with the work.

Tim came out and provided an estimate for the work. Called back to confirm a date for the work. Tim met his worker to review the work to be done. It took 6 hours to remove the wallpaper. Clean up was good. Tim came back to settle payment and review the work. Since we decided to do the prep work and painting afterwords, Tim gave us some pointers on how to accomplish this which we thought was great since he didn't have to provide any of it to us. Would recommend them to others.

This is the 3rd time we have used Above and Beyond Painting and each time we have been exceptionally pleased. Most importantly, the quality of the work is unmatched. Among other things, we had them paint doors and other trim work, and it looks as if they had been spray painted at the factory. The service is also fantastic. They are on time and very professional. We added a couple of jobs once they were on site, and they took them on without a hitch. The price quoted prior to the work was the final bill. So, in summary, great work, professional service and a fair and unmoving price. What else could you ask for in a painter? I would recommend Above and Beyond Painting without any reservations.

Tim, the owner of Above and Beyond, was very quick to respond and to come out and give us an estimate. He was very specific and explained exactly what he would be doing. He told us it would be approximately 6 weeks before they could get started. He was right on schedule. He called the week before and set up the date. The painters were prompt, friendly, and very thorough. Tim kept on top of everything and checked in frequently. Tim had explained everything they would be doing. We were very impressed with his attention to detail, and doing the job the right way! Walls were sanded and spackled. Large lights were used to inspect the walls. Caulking was done all along the trim and wherever needed. Any repairs were done. All pictures on the walls were removed and replaced when done. They were very good cleaning up after themselves. After seeing what a good job they were doing, we had added on some extra work. They said it was no problem and did whatever else we wanted done. Above and Beyond was extremly professional and well organized. We were very satisfied with their work and have hired them to do more.
