We contacted Rob for an estimate after hearing good things from our in-laws about the fence Ace had installed for them a few months before. Rob came out and gave us an estimate; he was extremely nice and very prompt. He took his time explaining the different products (the quality, the material, the look and the cost). I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all and I was extremely appreciative of the fact that he helped us select a fence that was within out budget. The fence took 2 days to install and looks beautiful. It is extremely sturdy and well made and we could not be happier with the finished product. The price was the exact amount we were quoted, which was also excellent. Rob always returned my phone calls quickly and was able to answer all questions during the process. He definitely knows his stuff!! :)

The fence looks great. It took awhile for him to come out and start the work after calling him, but once he started, he finished the job very quickly. The price we paid was competitive. We would use him again if we needed fencing done in the future.

Member, we are thrilled you are pleased with the fence. The project took a little longer than expected due to the permit and the wait on special order vinyl fence. We look forward to working with you on any future projects you may have! Thanks again!

This company is eager to please and everyone involved was very nice but it was a disaster from start to finish. There appears to be a real disconnect between the office and owner of Ace and the subcontractors that they use. One the first day the crew arrived in the afternoon, immediately started to take out the old fence and hacked down the one plant that I had asked Ace to watch out for. I went to a friends BBQ. When I got home that night I had a fence on one side of my house but it was not the style that I had discussed at length with Rob, Ace's owner, (they had built the fence so that the boards ran in a solid line on the outside of the posts). The next day they redid that part of the fence in the correct style. The next piece of fence that they build was extremely difficult as it ran between a hot tub and a large tree. I give them real credit for getting the fence in there. Unfortunately, instead of cutting the boards around the hot tub deck to make the fence the same height throughout my yard (keep in mind my yard is about 20 x 20 feet and the ground is flat) they left the boards full length. This meant that the fence behind the hot tub was a different height than the fence at the side of my house. To compensate they made one pannel on the side of the house slope. When I mentioned it the next day they fixed it. There were a few other minor issues and they fixed them without hesitation. I know that pressure treated lumber can warp, but a little over a week after they were finished, after a bit of rain, I could no longer open either of my gates. The gates have continued to get worse over the last month and a half. It took Ace a long time to get out here to fix them, which is fine. I appreciate they are busy and we had a big storm. But when they finally got out here they only had two posts (4 had to be replaced - which I had let the office know a week before hand). Once again they tried to fix the problem and they came back again that afternoon with two more posts. I was told at this point that any post replacement beyond this would be at my expense. The contract does say this in very small letters on the back so be aware of this problem if you use them. They use lumber that they claim is good quality but I have asked around and several other contractors have agreed that pressure treated lumber that has large (1/2 inch or more) cracks throughout at time of installation is more likely to warp, despite Ace's claim that it is just as susceptible as non-cracked lumber. Water gets into the cracks and the wood expands. The post are also much lighter weight and much less sturdy than posts you would find at Lowes. I put one up against an Ace post and the difference is VERY visible. A large number of the posts used for my fence (probably half) were split and all of the posts that needed to be replaced (1/3 of the posts used) were very split at time of installation. After reading all the fantastic reviews I was extremely disappointed with Ace. Even the construction method of the fence was not as solid as I feel it should have been (nails were hammered in at angles to avoid using additional pieces of wood to support cross beams). If you are looking for a simple fence and don't care too much about durabilty they might be worth it, but for a more unusual fence with a complicated install they were not worth the high cost or the amount of time I had to spend asking to have issues resolved. If they hadn't been so accommodating I would be giving them an F. [Update] It's now about two weeks after the fix and both of the posts that Ace replaced with their own lumber (two other posts had to be replaced, but they forgot to bring their own lumber so they went to a hardware store) are twisting so badly that I can't open my gate again. The non-Ace posts (from the hardware store) are in good condition and have not twisted at all. I'm going to have to contact another company to have this fixed with quality materials. Worst company that I have used on Angie's list so far and I'm fixing up a house from the late 1800's....If you dont want a poor quality fence, a lot of hassel, and a petty, argumentative owner (see his lengthy response accusing me of "taking advantage" by demanding that my gates actually open) dont use this company. The bottom line, all other concerns aside: they used poor quality materials - wood that warped and twisted all over - and the fence was poor quality as a result. They had to fix it multiple times, and it's no better than the first time. To their credit, they made some efforts to fix their mistakes, but the replacements were done just as badly. In my mind fixing mistakes that are caused by the fence company should not be a kindness or a favor, nor should my demanding a workable fence be considered "taking advantage". They suggest that the problems with the fence are due to the changes I made to the design, but all the issues I am having are due to material quality, not design. Posts twisted; the fence did not fall down in the storm, as they point out. Additionally, I find Ace's response to my review to be typical of my dealings with them. After their final visit, the owner called me (he spoke to my husband) for no other purpose than to argue about why the twisted posts weren't his fault. I told them several times on the phone (I talked to Angie and a male receptionist) that four posts were twisted and needed replacing, but they only showed up with two and now act "surprised" that there were four in need of repair. As their comments demonstrate, this company will argue and dispute every step of the process, and are now even descending into personal insults. Ace is correct that my initial ratings do not average out to a "D." The "D" was not an average but an overall impression. As of this update I am updating my "Professionalism" and Overall ratings to an "F" based on my last conversation with the owner, their personal insults on this website, and the fact that I STILL CANNOT OPEN MY GATE.
Description of Work: We had an 8 ft gothic style ceder fence with two gates installed around our property. One small portion near the front of the house was 6 ft tall. Fence boards were installed between posts and finials were installed on the tops of posts.

Response from Ace Fence & Deck LLC
Before we address this report we feel we have been more than an A rated member when in comes to this members concerns. Member, we are sorry that you seem to be unhappy with your fence install. Ace Fence & Deck LLC does go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I think this may be where we went wrong because at this point the member is taking advantage of our eagerness to please our customers. We would first like to address the first day of the install; the fence was built according to the original contract, the change you had requested did not get changed on the installer’s folder. We immediately addressed this and made these changes at no additional charge to you. On June 8th, the day after the fence install was complete we sent the crew back out to replace approx 13 fence boards, rebuilding a gate and making a few minor adjustments because you did not like the way it looked. Once again this was done for you at no additional cost. On June 21st the City of Columbus building inspector was out and approved the structural final on this fence. On June 22nd we received an email from you that stated “Thanks Rob! I'll give you a call when the finials come in. Its all painted and looking fantastic!” On July 11th member notified our office that the post caps were in and gates needed to be adjusted. We then sent a crew out on July 13th to put on the post caps and we adjusted all of the gates. Approximately two weeks later member contacted our office about post splitting and cracking, we agreed we would replace 2 at no extra charge even though our contact clearly states “All wood should be expected to crack, chip, split, peel, discolor, warp or shrink etc. These are all natural characteristics of wood that is exposed to the outdoor elements” Our contract clearly spells out everything- there is not fine print, nor do we try to hide anything. The member even initialed that she has read and understood the back of the contract and agrees to all of the terms and conditions within the contract. Having to have your gates adjusted after installation is not uncommon at all. The ground begins to settle and shift which causes the need for an adjustment. Member was told we would have someone out when we were in the area. About one week later member called back in and said her gates were not working properly. I, Angie personally spoke with her told her we would have them out to adjust the gates, and that information was added to the service request. To our surprise when the crew went out for the service call the member wanted 4 posts replaced. Member claimed she mentioned that when she called in. During the conversation of the gates being adjusted there was no mention of 2 more posts being replaced. But Ace went ahead and replaced all 4 posts once again at no additional charge. When the member was notified that we would not be able to replace any additional post for free, she became pouty with the owner and that was when we received this poor review on Angie’s List. Here is some information we would like to share are “splitting posts”. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Products Laboratory at Madison, Wisconsin has done considerable research on this subject. They actually state the fence posts neither "cracked" nor "split", but rather underwent a process known as "checking", which results from the natural seasoning (drying out) of any piece of lumber but particularly in any full, round or square piece of timber. The member also states that if a person does not care about the durability of their fence they should chose our company. We built the fence the way you had requested. Not to mention her 8’ tall fence was standing strong during the 80 mph wind storm central Ohio faced on June 30, 2012, which goes to sure the durability of our product and installation. On April 25, 2012 by email you were advised that “We do build the fence a little different then what is shown in the picture you provided. We feel you get a stronger fence if the post sits inside the fence rather then the middle, this keeps the posts on the inside and not viewed from the street.” We than attached a photo of our method of construction. The picture was the same board however your fence will be privacy in style. Member replied back “Strength aside, would it be possible to build the fence with the posts visible? I like the way the posts provide visual structure and break up the solidarity of the fence. The post tops also look kind of funny behind the rest of the fence. :)” Ace than responded “That's fine, we will build the fence in between the posts if that's what you want no problem.” Member’s response was “Excellent! Thanks!” We find this review to be extremely unfair and unjust because Ace built the fence exactly how you had requested, disregarding how we typically build this style of fence. Ace Fence & Deck LLC offers the highest quality of materials to all of our customers and we feel that we are right in standing behind our decision to charge the member for any further repairs that are not warranted in our contract.Ratings of two A's and 3 C's do not average a D.

I contacted this company to come and give me an estimate on my fence due to storm damage. I was told that someone would be out the next morning to look at the damage, they said if it was too small of a job, they would not be willing to do it...that they would phone me and let me know. The company NEVER sent anyone out, and DID NOT HAVE THE COURTESY TO CALL. So unless you have a large job for them, they don't want your business. I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST IN USING THIS KIND OF COMPANY, AND WOULD RECOMMEND OTHERS NOT TO USE THEM EITHER. This company's response that my number was disconnected!!! I have had my SAME phone number for about 12 years and it has NEVER once been disconnected!!! I do not trust this company and they are either flat out lying or are sloppy and have since had my fence repaired elsewhere, thank you. Maryellen Rowe 10/3/12

Member, we had someone drive by on Friday of last week on July 13,2012 in the morning. When they had gotten back to the office they tried to reach you on the cell phone to discuss the fence, but the number we have for you gave a message saying it was changed or disconnected. We then tried to search online for a home phone number and was unable to locate a number. We do apoligize and we did try to contact you. If you could please contact our office at 740-653-3325 so we can discuss this matter. Thank you.

I had gotten a quote from another company but that was over 2 months ago and they have not shown up or returned my calls. I saw the great reviews for Ace on Angie's List and wanted to work with them. Due to the recent storms, they are very busy and will not do any projects for less than $800.

I was very pleased overall with Rob and his team, even though there was a crisis in the middle. The professionalism and service were extraordinary and I would hire them again in a second. The full story: I needed to fix part of the fence to have a fully closed in yard for my dog to enjoy. Fixing and replacing the wooden fence in my yard was not an easy task, as there were many trees and branches also in the way. Another company had said they could not do any work until I hired (separately) a landscaper to tear out many of the bushes and tree limbs along the fence. Much to my delight, Rob from Ace Fence and Deck came and came up with a brilliant plan to close in the yard without extensive landscaping work. I was very pleased with his idea for how to give me both a fenced yard for my dog without having to do extensive landscaping work first. For this type of creativity alone, I would recommend them to anyone looking at a complicated fence project. The work was done and the fence looked great -- multiple neighbors commented how nice the cedar fence looked. And then it rained. The rain revealed a problem in the drainage line under the yard, which had become filled with concrete after the fence work. It appeared that the drainage pipe had been damaged and a patch had been placed over the line, which did not work and the pipe had filled with concrete during the placement of the fence posts. Needless to say, I was not happy. I contacted the company explaining my frustration and my problem. I was impressed with the professionalism of Rob and his team in investigating what had happened. It appears that previously the drainpipe had cracked and someone had patched the pipe (possibly from the initial fence installation many years ago). In the process of tearing out and replacing the fence, the patch became dislodged, allowing the pipe to fill with concrete. Although I was not happy with the unexpected problem or the unexpected bill from the plumbers, I was pleased with the professionalism displayed by Ace Fence and Deck and that they agreed to pay a portion of the plumbing bill. I remain very satisfied with the quality of the replacement fence and gates and would not hesitate to hire them for another job.

I had been looking at various companies on Angie's List in order to have some fence work done and contacted Ace as I was still looking for someone to do the work after having gone through several different companies for estimates. I called Ace and was told that I could use their website www.fenceinstall.com and put in all my measurements as well as selecting up to 3 different style/type of fence and would get my estimates e-mailed to me. Let me just say that this process was painless from start to finish. I created an account on the website and began putting in the numbers that I had been provided from one of the prior estimates and everything went smooth as can be with me selecting 3 different styles of fence and getting back 3 very detailed estimates within a day or two. Let's just say I was blown away by the estimates I got in return. All were very detailed and included very specific instructions for the job as well as a letter of references provided by Ace on their previous work done. The pricing was also stellar as for the 3 different types of fence estimates I received (2 vinyl, 1 cedar) all 3 were lower than any prior estimates I had from other companies, not to mention that 2 of them the total job price was marginally more expensive than just the labor costs from one of the other companies I got an estimate from. Travis arrived within a day of me signing off on one of the estimates, he took measurements and even decided that I didn't need as many feet as had previously been told. He showed me information on the type and style of fence I had selected as well as taking half payment for the job with the remainder due to the crew upon completion of the work. He gave me copies of my signed contract and final estimate and stated they would handle the rest as far as any permits, homeowner association issues etc. and I would hear something from them as far as an install date in about 2-3 weeks once they got everything in order. I did contact them after about 3 weeks to get a date only because the grass had needed cut but the OUPS line markings were done on a Thursday and nobody had come out to start installing the fence that day or Friday so I was asking if I could cut the grass over the weekend and have the lines re-marked before Ace arrived. Angie called the following Monday and told me the lines would be re-marked and that the materials had arrived a day later than they planned for my job but they would be there the next day to start work. The crew arrived later in the day, which was fine, to start the job by digging the post holes and pouring the concrete and allowing it to set before installing the panels the next day. One thing of note about this process, Ace does not "dry pour" concrete to set their posts, all concrete is mixed and poured wet into the holes to set the posts. You'll hear some people say that it doesn't matter and that either method works fine, but me personally I prefer a wet pour and was pleased to see that Ace did their work in this manner. The crew got all the posts set and returned the next day to complete the job. Since I had existing fence on the sides of my property from my neighbors we were unable to get the fence exactly 100% flush up against the existing fence so the crew even went ahead and placed in some spare panels in order to seal off the spaces (which were each less than 2") and prevent any possibility of my 2 small dogs escaping. I was not available when the crew completed the job the second day but awoke to find the fence complete and finished. I found the job area to be clean of any construct debris and no scraps or trash laying anywhere. I'm left with small piles of dirt to relocate to some low spots in my yard which is fine with me and actually helps me level the yard in a couple areas. I contacted Angie again in the office and worked out paying off the balance due with no issues. I'm very happy with the work and would use Ace again for any fence issues and may be calling them back in the coming months to get estimates for some deck work I'm thinking about having done. The pricing can't be beat and quality of work is on par with any of the other companies which I have seen work done by in my area.

The fence just isn't straight. I guess I'm picky but I would have used a level. There are boards that are bowed. They saved the worse boards that had giant knots for the last and it was the gate you can see from the yard. Then they hit a gutter drain that they fixed. They didn't fully attach a board and we had to have them come back out. There are boards that have some rotting on them. They were very highly rated on Angieslist. Their price was cheaper. The quality isn't a sugnificant asthetic issue. We asked for a removable part of the fence and they did do that. It seemed to me that it took longer than it should have. They told me they sent me their most experience team but one of the guys looked like a teenager. They did clean up their mess. I didn't find one screw or anything.

Response from Ace Fence & Deck LLC
We spoke with the homeowner on Monday April 9, 2012, the homeowner claims the telephone transcriber from Angie’s List mixed up her words and did not accurately depict what she had said. He didn’t make any negative comments, but his wife might of. But he didn’t think there should be any reason why after walking the fence that day. There are a total of 6 boards that we will be replacing at no charge to the family & I expressed that if we had known they had been dissatisfied we would have been out as soon as they had called. Our installation agreement was for 3 weeks from July 9th. of 2010 weather permitting, this was clearly underlined at the point of sale. Work commenced on Tuesday august 3rd. of 2010. The holes passed inspection on Wednesday august 4th. of 2010. The fence was completed on Friday august 6th. of 2010 not on may 11, 2011.The fence passed final inspection on Monday august 9th. of 2010. Until receiving this review our office has not heard from the member. Realizing this fence was installed nearly 2 years ago. I feel that it is very important to address all of the member’s issues with the fence. 1. To date we have no record of any other service request, since being completed on 08-05-10. The member received a one year labor warranty on the reverse of his contract. Specifically warranting gate operation and leaning. With the only exclusion being, ground settling. 2. The member is fortunate enough to live in one of the few municipalities that not only requires a fence permit, but also requires a hole inspection and a final inspection. Both passed inspections. 3. Warping is a natural occurrence with all woods. Therefore cannot be warranted against. Cedar has proven to have the least amount of warpage in a fence application.. Cedar is still the most popular choice of wood for fencing. 4. it's entirely improbable that there were certain boards saved for the end of the installation. Wood is not perfect. We know that, that's why on all projects a sufficient number of boards are ordered for each project so as, to only use the best available. Cedar fence lumber does have knot holes. Knot holes do not grow in size after being installed. The member had the option at the time of completion to not sign the completion forms if he was unhappy with those boards upon his inspection; For that matter call after a short while and request us to change them out, especially being so visible from the yard. 5. A high pressure sales presentation is certainly not what I practice. I’m extremely proud of our high rating with Angie's list and would never do anything to ruin that. This includes high pressure. I let ace's reputation speak for itself. 6. We have developed a different method for removable sections and would be happy to change yours to the new style. 8. Rest assured all of ace's crews are well qualified or else they would not be installing for ace. As always, our company goes above and beyond to satisfy all of our customer’s needs and wants. We appreciate the members feed back and we will continue to strive towards excellent customer service.

Great experience from the initial consultation to the time the workers left. Was given attractive pricing and flexible work dates. Ace took care of all permitting and paperwork with my HOA and the city which was a huge plus. The fence looks great and frequently gets compliments from my friends and neighbors! I can't recommend these guys highly enough. They'll be the first people I call if/when it comes time to put in a deck.

The process was very smooth and easy. The workers were nice and attention to detail was great. Rob went through the whole process with me. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Was in need of a fence for my dog. Rob came out and for a free estimate. He was very nice and professional. His quote came in cheaper than other competitors. I had them install a pressure treated 6ft privacy fence. They do have various options you can shoose from. They completed the job in 2 days.

This is the second time I have used Ace Fence and Deck. This time I had them complete a rear deck and they did a great job. They accommodated the special requests I had, special ordered 20ft long boards and worked with me to meet my design needs. I am very happy with the end result. They arrived Friday morning and had the job completed by Tuesday afternoon. Professional workmanship and very easy to deal with. I would defiantly use them again.
Description of Work: They supplied and installed a 20ft by 14ft rear deck.

We were moving to a new house. We have three dogs and did not want to move in without a fence. We worked with Ace to get it installed by move in. They completed the installation in two days and had it complete as the moving trucks pulled up. They did an outstanding job and are highly recommended. The estimate was prepared after walking the job and staking it. Suggestions for the best way to install were made and improved on our conceptual layout.. It turned out great and exceeded our expectations.
Description of Work: We chose a concave cedar , picket style fence with three gates.

After a very long cold winter we just could not face another winter of having to go out with our dogs on their leads and have all of us freeze. We was so impressed when we read about Rob's company on Angie's List and so I called to see if he could come out and look at our yard to see if it was even possible to put up a fence. We have several large trees as well as some utility box issues, that made this task quite challenging. Rob spent alot of time here considering he was giving us a free estimate and came up with a wonderful idea for our fence. We wanted to also not block out the view of the wonderful woods from our neighbors so he was very receptive to honor those wishes as well. After spending time with him and seeing the effort and detail he was putting in, we decided that we did not even need to have another company give us an estimate and we signed with him on the spot. This was, as we all know, a very very hot summer and the gentlemen who installed our fence could not have been more pleasant, kind and professional. The temperature was reaching in the high 90's, but they worked and worked and never stopped until the fence was completed. They left our yard in perfect condition, and even trimmed some of our bushes around the fence line for us so we would not have to do it later. The fence is absolutely beautiful I simply cannot praise this company enough. I could go on and on with positive recommendations but to put this simply if you ever need a fence and you want a wonderful company to deal with and absolutely the most perfect fence anyone could ever want, you need look no further than ACE Fencing. There are very few individuals that I have met that are as great as Rob, I wish him much success and he has a life long customer with us, we were very lucky to have found him.
Description of Work: Rob came out and measured a very difficult yard because of large trees and utility boxes, and came up with a wonderful idea for us. We had a double dog eared cedar fence installed, and it is BEAUTIFUL!

I contacted Rob Bruno and made an appointment to discuss what I wanted with him a few days later. Originally I planned on some deck repairs, mainly replacing the existing wood railing with vinyl and some other minor repairs. However, I made the mistake of having my father present during my first meeting with Rob. My father thought I needed a roof over the deck to protect it and the house from the weather and to make the deck more useable throughout the year. It turns out he was right. Rob spent almost two hours with us the during the first meeting, sharing ideas, previous completed job photos and estimates of the various options we were considering. Over the next couple of weeks Rob answered several questions (with prompt return phone calls) and visited us again to finalize the plan. I had a specific time that I wanted the work done and had planned ahead, calling Rob a couple of months before I wanted the work done. Rob took care of submitting all the paperwork to both the township and my subdivision for approval and was ready to start everything on time. The work did take a little longer than I expected but that was due to circumstances beyond our control - the weather. Between the heat and the rain, the work was done within about a week. Rob's crew did an excellent job and Chris, the leader on my job really paid attention to detail. When rebuilding my stairs the way I wanted them, he realized that the vinyl railing construction was probably not going to look like I wanted it to. Before going any further, he brought the issue to my attention and then suggested a solution which worked out perfectly. There were a couple small issues that came up during construction, but Rob was excellent about checking in with me, returning my phone calls ASAP, and working with me to make sure everything was completed exactly how I (and of course my father) wanted. We now a have a beautiful new covered deck and I must admit, my father was right! We have used the deck more in the past couple of months than ever before thanks to Rob and his crew.
Description of Work: Old wood deck railing removed, damaged floor boards replaced, stairs removed and rebuilt, new vinyl railing and support posts installed around deck, and roof over deck added.

Rob Bruno who is the owner, came out to my home on two occasions, to discuss with me what I wanted, to measure and then to bring color samples of the product so I could choose the best color. He timely confirmed and kept our appointments to meet me at my home and review the project and plan the project. He took great care to make sure he knew what I wanted to accomplish and to consider the design of my home and the decking area in the rear of my home and how the fence would compliment what already existed. Everything was in writing, including a drawing of the two areas where the fence was to be built. Rob also worked with the City of Dublin to obtain the permit. Rob's care about this project exceeded my expectations. The workmanship by his crew also actually exceeded my expectations, in that I had requested that the fence be as close to the home at one point as possible, but miss two drainage tiles. The foreman on the job hand dug the critical post hole in question and did an incredible job in placing the end post of the fence within a few inches of the corner of my home while missing the drainage tiles. The ground where the fence was to be built was not perfectly level (far from it), but I asked that the fence be as level as possible, and again the crew did a fantastic job in having the fence close to the ground as possible (as I had requested) and also as level as possible. I believe I first called Rob in April, and quickly learned that there is more to having a fence built than I initially assumed, so if I had to do it all over again, I would have started in January or Febuary, rather than April. To do a fence right, which Rob does, It takes time to plan, to measure, to obtain the permit, to order the materials, etc. It took only 2 days to have the fence actually built, but when it was built, it was per the plans we had made and agreed upon. My recommendation to others is to start the project as early as possible before Spring, if you want the fence build as soon as the ground thaws and the fence holes can be dug. I cannot say enough positive things about Rob and his company. I am considering an additional fence around my garden, and I will only work with Rob because of the confidence I now have in him and his employees.
Description of Work: I had Ace build a fence to enclose two areas in the rear of my home, around some existing decking, to basically give my two dogs the freedom to run off leash. The material I chose was a very high quality (I believe the highest quality available, with a life time warranty) cast aluminum.

We are probably going to deal with them if we decide to get the job done. We are just deciding whether we want to spend double or half. I am now waiting to hear back from them right now on an e-mail. I think the guy who came out is extremely honest. He gave us the pros and the cons. He recommended the fence that would cost half of the one we were considering first. So, I think he considers the customer’s best interest. He is very nice and good. It has been a couple of days now since I sent the most recent e-mail. I was hoping he would have gotten back a little quicker. He was here on time. In fact, he called and asked me if he could come a little early the first time he was out. I would consider using his services in the future.
Description of Work: We received an estimate from Ace Fence & Deck for having a fence installed. They came out this past Saturday to do some measuring and to talk about the final estimate.

Everyone we had contact with at Ace was wonderful to work with. We requested fence estimates from five companies, all of whom had high Angie's List ratings. Ace came in with the cheapest estimate (all were in the same ballpark, but they were the cheapest) and they provided the most out of all the companies. For example, they pulled the permit for us; other companies make the homeowner do that. There were so many little things they did that others did not offer as part of their fence installation. They were polite, professional and did what we paid them to do. Our new fence is beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Dick and his crew did a fantastic job.

I called the office and booked a time for somene to come and provide a quote. It was pouring rain on the scheduled day and I wondered whether they would show. Rob did arrive as scheduled despite the rain and he provided a detailed quote. They were competitive on price and the no interest same as cash option is nice so I decided to hire them for the job. They were able to schedule the work within two weeks and their team of 3 arrived as scheduled and were very hardworking and professional. They completed the job in 2 days. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and would recommend them on price, quality and professionalism.

They have been great to work with and their product is top of the line. It is a small company so the owner was the one who came out and helped develop the plan. I would absolutely use them again.
