I contacted this company online requesting an online quote. I filled out the dimensions of the fence and sent the request. Jeremy called me promptly asking for more specific information about exactly what we were wanting. I told him. He then said he would work up a few different quotes, and then email them to me. Well, after more than a week, I hadn't received anything. I then called and asked for Jeremy. He wasn't in, and the person who answered the phone said he would call me the next day...guess what??? NO CALL! I am done with this company. I think they just didn't want to bother with us since our yard is fairly small. I will be contacting a more reputable fencing company.

Called and requested somebody to come out and give a quote for my neighbor and I. Had the appointment set for 2 weeks. The installer called less than 20 minutes before our scheduled time of 1:00pm and cancelled, claimed to be snowed in. Seriously unprofessional. If you need to cancel call first thing in the morning, don't have 2 separate families waiting around for you all day for you to ultimately call and cancel a few minutes before hand.

I have a dog and the fence was to low. He could jump it.

The big wooden gate was blown down during a storm and had them replaced the gate. I like their work.

Everything was beyond my expectations from start to finish. Rob came out for the estimate and the price for the vinyl fence was consistent with what I was expecting, so I went ahead and went with ACE. Mike and DJ worked on a Saturday and Sunday to get the job finished. The fence is beautiful and I have already had friends and neighbors ask about who did the work. I would definitely hire this ACE fence and deck for any other projects that come up.

I am a Firefighter Medic in the Columbus Ohio area and called ACE to give me an estimate on a new fence and backyard deck . I deal with the public everyday and have never met a more professional and honest person in my life . I actually am still in shock on how my initial meeting with with the owner of this company went. He honestly told me what I wanted in my fence was not going to be what they could do for me with their product and gave me advice on what to do with the idea I had ...that I did not want to deviate from . Then when I told him about my deck plans he continued to help me understand their product , what I wanted and what would be the best for ME and not their company . Honesty does not happen like this in my world of dealing with people let alone someone trying to sell something . If you want an honest opinion from a man and business with morals and character this day in age contact this company .

Ace Fence & Deck was the best fence company of many that I contacted. Jeremy came out for the initial estimate. Jeremy was punctual, professional, and incredibly helpful with determining how best to look at our current fence situation as well as future needs (access to alley, containing two crazy dogs, curb appeal, etc.). Jeremy was very honest about our job and its scale. It was a huge tear out and haul away job. Shortly after the initial estimate, the owner of Ace Fence & Deck contacted me. Mr. Bruno (the owner) wanted to come back out and have a look around with Jeremy to help ensure that I got exactly what I wanted and needed from their work in addition to figuring out the best way possible to achieve this. Mr. Bruno was always incredibly polite, helpful, and professional. Not only did he help figure out the best financial options for a large fencing project on our home, he also remained in personal contact with me throughout the pre-work phase when all of the financial logistics were being worked out. Once the project was started, Mr. Bruno and his employees stayed in contact with me regarding progress updates as well as finding some unexpected obstacles. The haul out of the old fence took only a couple days. Despite bad weather in February and illness on the employees' part, the fence was completely installed within 2 full weeks of starting. Mr. Bruno's employees kept me informed when they found unusual materials under the ground in the yard as well as buried conduits in the path of one of the fence sections. My yard was left in better shape than when the job was started. Throughout the entire project, it was clear that Mr. Bruno wanted to provide the best product for a fair price that would meet all of the current and futures needs as best as possible. I always felt that Mr. Bruno and his company provided a great experience and a fantastic product. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a fence no matter the size of the job.

I thought I needed my deck replaced, so he came out to give me an estimate. After he took a good look at it, he told me that just a few boards needed replaced and gave me the contact info for someone who did that kind of repair work. Wow! I'm so thankful for his honesty!

Overall everything went quite well. The owner came out to provide the estimate within a few days of of the original request. When he came back to give us the estimate and discuss it turned out that he had been a classmate of my wife's. Generally a very nice, seemingly hard working individual. He also lives near some close friends of ours, and I give marks for people who know there neighbors, as he obviously does. He stated the work would be completed in about four weeks, which was fine with us and told us they would call before they came out. It was maybe a week and half and we received a call stating they would begin on Monday. This is where we had a little hiccup, on Monday I received a call stating that the intaller would not be able to come out, due to weather and a doctors appointment. Weather was bad and sometime people get sick, I'm ok with either issue causing a delay. It just seemed a little flakey to use both. I had no problem with the delay and they were very apologetic, and it seemed like they felt bad and were throwing extra excuses to make it seem more palatable. Again, if someone gets sick, that does not reflect negatively on you as a company. Just say it happened, apologize and move on. I was fine with it, you should be ok too. The very next day the crew was at the house ready to go. They spent the day and much of the next installing the fence. It looks great, is far stronger than we expected, and they made a small change with no questions asked. So they did a great job. The fence looks great, the wife is happy and all is almost completely well with the world. There was two tiny issues with installation. One was our fault, one was theirs. Our fault: our dog chewed their extension cord which was left at the house for the evening. Our dog chews everything, a major complaint of mine, and this was his fault not theirs. So I bought them a new extension cord, which they did not ask for. They said a new end would have been fine. Nope, our fault, you get new equipment. But the fact that they didn't ask for new means a lot given it was not their fault. Their issue was that they left a little bit of a mess on my neighbors property. I don't mind cleaning up my yard, or my neighbors for that matter, but I would have liked them to be a little more careful with his yard. Now I say that knowing conditions were less than ideal, lots of snow, cold, frozen ground. Basically, the conditions were terrible, and this is a small thing. So things to note, a couple of really small issues, surrounded by GREAT work. Note the all A rating, I'm not kidding here and I don't give them lightly, just check my other reviews. Would I hire again, yes! This was a great company to work with.

Called the business to get a quote to replace an old deck. I was told that they were very busy but that somebody was going stop by the property on the weekend of 11/25 to look at the current deck and give me a quote. They never showed up and I never got a call from them.

I had a fence on my property constructed just a week ago that I found on your service and it was wonderful. They couldn't have done better. It's Ace Fencing. They completed the work a week ago today. They charged a little over four thousand dollars. There customer service was impeccable. The work was even better. There service couldn't have been improved on. They were timely, in fact they were ahead of time. They actually projected out probably six weeks to put me in line and be able to get the job done. They were then prepared to do it about three weeks earlier than I anticipated. In order to get some of the paper work filled out they've volunteered to come to where I work rather than my home to be able to get me to sign the papers and so on. It moved things along. It made less hassle for me. The customer service was wonderful. They called during the three to four weeks that I was waiting for it to give me updates about to let me know that they haven't forgotten me and that I was moving up on the list, we hope to be there on such and such date and then they were there early on top of it. The construction took place over two days of course they set the post one day and built a fence the second and the work sight both days was absolutely perfectly pristine clean. Some people care about that more than others. To come home and see that your yard looks the way you want it to look even if it's somebody's working in it, it's just amazing. Friendly, professional, business like. It could not have been better and that was from everybody from the sales rep to the people in the business office that I dealt with in terms of payment and so on and then the carpenters that built the fence all absolutely top notch. They are an A on all fronts. I would highly recommend them.

Overall, they have some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. They were able to take care of the permitting with the city and for my HOA. From the initial free estimate to the actual installation, it was very timely. The owner was able to make the gates and fence just right. Thank you!

I called Ace to give me an estimate on replacing a 30 year old chain link fence that was rusted and some of support poles were broken. I called them based on being a "Super service award " on Angies list. The sales rep. came out and took pics. and measured the length of fence. He gave me an estimate and we decided to go with them. He filled out a contract and I signed. About 3 weeks later they installed fence. I had an issue with size of gate, but they explained that a 36 inch gate is really a 32 inch gate with a 36 inch opening. I said ok I did not know that. I looked at the fence where it meets my neighbors fence, and my new fence was 4-5 inches higher than his. My old fence was not that way. All other fence in my yard and neighbors are all 42 inch. I called salesman and was told that he was not sure they make a 42 inch fence, but if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay for it. I immediately called the owner Rob and he said they make a 42 inch fence but said that I signed a contract for 48 inch fence and if I wanted it fixed I would have to pay extra to fix it. I told him that the sales guy had pics and to look at them. We went thru a couple more calls and he offered excuses like "well maby you will get a big dog someday". I am 69 years old and live on a fixed income and did not have more money in my budget to fix their mistake. I ask him if he and salesman would come out and meet with me and look at it and discuss.He said he would and an appointment was set up. 2 hours before appointment he called and said old fence was buried 4 inches in ground and that's reason old fence was lower which was a lie. He never showed for appointment. There were before and after pics. but he said I signed a contract for 48 inch fence and case closed.

They did a really good job. They corrected every problem that was there. They were responsive.

Ace Deck did a fantastic job on my new deck. It is 14 x 9 with pressure treated pine on the walking surfaces and cedar everywhere else. They did it over three days and just a couple of weeks after the initial estimate. The only downside is that I'll now have to spruce up the rest of the house to match. Very courteous, prompt, and professional!

Spent a long time filling out information required for a online estimate then zero response. What bad is you waste your time building a profile on their website and doing all the work for a estimate, then zero response from them.

Rob was very nice to work with as far as the original estimate & contract were concerned, but everything after that has been just a bad memory. I selected the "Good Neighbor" style of vinyl fencing from the brochure we worked from. I was unaware that the installation would be done by a subcontractor. The crew showed up and began tearing out the wood fence and installed the new fence from the back of my yard to the front. When I went out later on in the day to see how things were going, I saw a fence that looks slanted rather than a straight horizontal line. When I expressed concern about this I was told their directions were to follow the grade of the yard and that what I was seeing was an "optical illusion". These men worked extremely hard and did not finish up until after 6:00 PM and asked me to sign a form indicating my satisfaction with the work. Although I was not happy with the result, I felt pressured and I should not have signed it, but I did. To make a long story short, the fence I have now follows EVERY grade in my back yard and looks like something out of the Wizard of Oz movie. The yard was an absolute disaster with dirt piles everywhere on my property as well as my neighbor's on either side. No effort was made to at least smooth out the clumps. The next day I was surprised to see that they had also put a PERMANENT sign on the post facing the street indicating the work was done by Ace Fence & Deck. To say it looks tacky is an understatement. It has been over a year and I still get a sick feeling in my stomach every time I look at my fence. My advice to anyone considering doing business with this company to ask LOTS of questions as far as how the installation is done and what you expect the work to look like once it is done. It would be a good idea to specify your expectations in the contract. In my case, the only thing that looks like the fence shown in the brochure is the type of fencing used. It certainly is not straight as shown. It's very disappointing to have spent $4200 and not be happy with the end result.

Rob was great to work with right from the start. I would highly recommend calling them. Although we did not contract with them (because of our budget range) we felt their customer service & quality of product was superior to others.

The Ace contact that came to my house indicated that he would send me a quote via email.

Rob came to our house and gave us an estimate. I felt it was a little pricey for no more than we were having done, but he assured me that the quality of material was far above what I could purchase at the "big" home improvement stores. The quality of the aluminum railing, installation and attention to detail was excellent.

Not sure how price compared as Rob Bruno, Jr. was the only person we contacted. He was prompt and very professional during the appointment. He was very knowledgeable and there is no doubt that if we decide to go ahead with our project, we will definately call ACE. We had also spoke to one of the installers as ACE has done several projects in our neighborhood. My husband stopped to ask the name of the company and who we should contact for the estimate as we were impressed with the finished jobs. The installer was extremely informative and as I know they are on a schedule, the installer did not rush through information, was very informative and very friendly. To me, this just shows professionalism from the top down. As mentioned above, we definately will call ACE if we decide to go through with our project.

Showed up on time and did a good job on the repairs to my deck

Did it in the snow. Looks great. The only issue so far is that with the last cold weather the gate to the back won't close. I called them a week or two ago and they said they would fill out a service order, but no one has responded yet. The weather has been bad and I am hoping that had something to do with the delay. Hopefully, with better weather this week the task will be accomplished.

The estimator was prompt on the day the quote was scheduled.

I was impressed by the knowledge of the salesman. The final selling point for me was his statements about 'we will find all your property markers' and 'we will make sure you get every inch of your property'. Those details were important to me. It turned out not to be the case. The installer put the fence an average of a foot inside the property line without even looking for the property markers. At one point where the fence had to line up, they were closer to 2 feet off the mark. Now I have to mow on both sides of the fence. I tried to ask them what happened but did not get a good answer. I also thought the shadowbox fence was a bit odd. I was expecting the posts to be in the middle of the shadowbox like my previous fence. Instead it was a shadowbox fence nailed to outside posts. Not sure if this is the way everyone does it now or not (my previous fence was 20 years old). All in all the installation was ok. But I was disappointed between what they said and what they did.
