Rob was punctual, but I found him very pushy. Rob seemed to not listen to our requests and then tried pushing us to go with a vinyl fence instead of a cedar fence. We also wanted a gate that blended in with the rest of the fence and Rob said that they ONLY make curved top gates. This was not what we wanted and Rob said that they would not be willing to make a gate that was straight across on the top because they did not feel that it was sturdy enough. He then informed me of how knowledgeable they are about building fencing and that is just the way they do it. I have seen many fences with a straight-top gate and they seem just fine. The estimate was also by far the most expensive of the 5 estimates that we had gotten. Estimated cost was $5,800.

I called, talked to Angie. She gave me prices, $60 per gate & $15 per foot of fence, total $432 with Angie's List 10% off coupon. When the on site estimate was done, he came up with over $700.00. I called Rob, the owner. The estimate had $80 per gate plus the gates were included in the $15 per foot. Rob adjust only the $80 to $60. The est. included $4 per foot to remove existing fence. Half of the existing fence was already removed but I was still charge for it. Rob adjusted the removal cost. I was told by the estimator that they would not honor the Angie's List coupon because it was a labor only job. This was not stated any where on the coupon. They did give me a 15% discount instead. I was told the fence would be installed on Wed. or I would get a phone call. It was not installed and I did not get a phone call. I called Rob again. He said it would be installed on Fri or he would call himself. It was installed on Friday. The installer was great. Looks very nice. I love my new fence.

Rob met with us @ our house. He was very prompt and resourceful. His price was just a little more expensive than other estimates we received. We chose this company because he was so knowledgeable and guaranteed a quality product. Company gets all permits necessary and calls utility companies to mark lines on property. A contractor performed the work. He was also very pleasant. They accidentally hit our cable when digging the post holes. They fixed the line and both the contractor and main office contacted us several times to make sure the cable was working. I recently called the company since the gate had settled and was difficult to latch. They came out within a few days and fixed it free of charge.

He was very professional and courteous. I have decided to not put in a fence but if I ever do I would have no hesitation in going with Ace Fences.

We called Ace Fence and Deck to get an estimate on rebuilding our sun deck. The person in the office was very prompt in returning our calls. We made an appointment for June 10th to get an estimate for the job. Rob Bruno, and another person with the company came to our house on the 10th, as discussed. They were over an hour late, but called an hour after the scheduled time to say they would be late. They looked at the deck and Rob said he would call us with an estimate. We have not heard from him since. I know that they had our phone number, because they called several times leading up to the appointment. If he did not want to do the job, all he had to do was call and let us know. Needless to say, we would not recommend Ace Fence and Deck since they were not even reliable enough to make a simple phone call.

Service was excellent. However, the price was approximately $10K (their quote was almost $30K - others were under $20K) more then the other 2 quotes I received. It took several days to get the written quote - other companies were able to provide numbers during their visit. I don't know if I would hire them again or not. Price was definitely a factor in our decision to go elsewhere.

I would recommend this company to everyone I can. From the moment I made the first call to the last time I had to deal with the company they were great. Larry, the salesman on this job, was very attentive to my wants and needs, but also gave me some suggestions that turned out great. Even though they were higher than my other bids, I do not regret using this company, nor will you if you are considering a company to do your fencing.

The company is wonderful to work with. They were the first company to respond with an estimate visit. The estimate was completed professionally and we were kept informed of arrival times for the work to be started etc. The two men who actually built the deck were very personable and responsive. They were willing to change some items as the need arose and worked long hours under extreme heat so that the project was completed in a timely fashion. Another plus for the homeowner is the fact that Ace was willing to accept a payment plan, although we declined that offer. This was a pleasant and very painless undertaking. I would recommend them for an Angie's list award.

Installer had transportation and hired help problems, but when he got there he did an excellent job. After posts were installed and city inspection done, he built the deck by himself in one long day.

Excellent. They did great work, communicated well, and completed the job in great time. they even took the time to dig an extra hole for a tree we wanted to plant after the fence was installed. From the presentation Jim gave us, we knew we would be taken care of. They were the 5th company we asked for a quote, and they were the most reasonable and most professional.

Ace did an outstanding installation job on our fence. It is absolutely beautiful. Bill helped us choose a style that fit our yard's contours, and made the rest of the process extremely simple. Materials and techniques used were all of the highest caliber. They weren't the lowest price (and admitted to such), but they offer a high-quality product. Plus, they came out and put a coat of clear water seal on at no extra charge. Ace delivered on all their promises, made all the pertinent info available up front, took care of all permits and researched all zoning, utility, and other regulations... just a great company to work with. There was a bit of a mess left over in the yard from when the post holes had been dug, but that is to be expected, and only took a day or two to clean up. I highly recommend Ace for your fence or deck project, they do good, lasting work, which is what any homeowner should demand.

ROB IS A LIKEABLE PERSON, AND A PRETTY GOOD SALESMAN. I TALKED TO 3 CONTRACTORS AND GOT ESTIMATES OVER THE PHONE. ACE WAS THE HIGHEST. ACE WAS THE 1ST TO COME TO THE HOUSE. HE LOWERED HIS PRICE TO SOME AND I SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH HIM & CANCELED THE OTHER APPOINTMENTS. I WOULD PROBABLY USE HIM AGAIN, BUT I WOULD GET OTHER ESTIMATES BEFORE I SIGNED. ONCE OF THE OTHER CONTRACTORS INSTALLS THE SAME BRAND OF FENCE. I GOT A NICE FENCE OUT OF THE EXPERIENCE. I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THE NEW FENCE.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH ACE WAS VERY PAINLESS. WHILE THEY WERE NOT THE LEAST EXPENSIVE BID, THEIR OVERALL PACKAGE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, WERE EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE. IN MEETING HIM, YOU FEEL A SENSE OF TRUST WITH HIM - HE KNOWS HIS PROFESSION WELL COMPLETE WITH SPECIFIC CODE REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF COLUMBUS (& SUBURBS). I REALLY WANTED TO GIVE HIM MY BUSINESS, BUT ALAS, HIS QUOTE WAS OUT OF MY BUDGET.
