The installers did a fantastic job installing the windows, they were very courteous and made sure that everything was cleaned up after completing the job.

Excellent and professional service from start to finish. Window Universe was one of four major window companies we requested information and quotes. Window Universe was the only one that was very organized with literature on the product, a listing of options with prices and brought a sample window. The salesman, Sam, did an excellent job explaining the window structure, detailed the options along with the differences. Sam communicated well and kept us informed and responded timely to questions. The other major window companies were more interested in luring us with a discounted price per window vs including information on other charges that may be involved. So in other words, not presenting the whole picture. Office staff is friendly, pleasant and helpful. Installers were friendly and got the job done quickly, efficiently and professionally. Wonderful experience, thank you, Sam and staff.

We took quotes from 5 companies before choosing this one. They are an excellent balance of high quality & reasonable price. The salesperson was not pushy and was very friendly & competent. However, the men who did the work were not as friendly and, although the windows are excellent, there were places around the sides of the frames that we had to sand & fill holes. They offered to make it right but we did not want the repair team to come back to the house, so we did it ourselves. I wish the installers & sales people were more evenly matched on friendliness & competence.

Everything went smooth and hassle free. It took awhile for the door to be made and they kept me updated with a status periodically.

Firstly, their salesguy came out and chatted to me (took about 30 minutes I guess) about the options available. I had identified a special offer they had available at the time and they told me what that included. I didn't feel any sales pressure at all (in fact, they seem to go out of their way to emphasize that they don't try to do the 'hard sell' - which is entirely true!), and yet I did decide to go with a few upgrades beyond what the package deal included. So, once I informed them of the particular package we wanted, they came out to sign a contract with me, as well as to take precise window measurements. The order was then placed by them with the window manufacturers (they kept me informed about such progress), and then the install date was set. On the installation date, there was apparently meant to be 2 installers doing the job, but one was not available on the day, so one guy had to complete all of the work. Well, I really have to say, he did it all beautifully. Every window is tight, secure and hugely impressive looking. The trim on the exterior has real curb appeal and the functionality and features of the windows are pretty amazing (especially compared to the old wooden ones we had previously). All 8 windows were successfully installed within one day, and there was literally no mess left behind at all (which was surprising, considering the amount of work involved). I literally could not be happier! Bonus features that sealed the deal for me: 1. Unbelievably, there is a lifetime warranty on these windows, including glass, hardware and frames. So, if for example any of the installed glass gets accidentally smashed at any stage, Window Universe will replace it free of charge. Pretty amazing, huh? And the lifetime warranty is transferable to a new owner, should we decide to sell the house, which is a nice selling point for us too. I like! 2. We got an upgrade to the Energy Star level windows (meaning they come with a couple of extra features, to make them energy efficient). Off the top of my head, the upgrade cost us about 300 - 400 bucks. However (and this is the really good bit!), we are also eligible now for a rebate due to our purchasing Energy Star windows. We get $50 rebate per window, amounting to $400. So, we earn our upgrade money back, while also having new energy efficient windows that will save additional cash in the long run, and be a good selling point for our home in the future. Do I recommend Window Universe to my Cleveland neighbors. H***, yeah!

Window Universe is one of the few good window companies out there. After almost getting ripped off by Window Nation with the "buy today at X price" scam, I gave Window Universe a chance. I needed 15 slider windows, 3 bay windows, and 2 steel doors. Sam came out to my house and gave me information on the windows and a price, nothing more. He never pressured me to buy. I went through sales pitches from multiple companies including Anderson and Window Nation previously. Window Universe was the best BY FAR! Once I agreed to the contract, Window Universe stayed in constant contact with me for updates. The bedroom windows in my house are a strange size so they even made an engineering exception to fulfill my needs (at the same price!). Window Nation offered to do my 15 regular windows, 2 large windows (instead of Bay windows), ZERO doors, and NO huge bay window (12 feet) for over $4,000 MORE than what Window Universe offered to do everything for! I would have got worse windows, kept my same 12 foot window instead of getting a bay, and not got my doors for $4,000 MORE. Obviously Anderson came in with even higher quotes than that. Window Universe's prices were ridiculously better than the competition. When the day came to install windows, they crew arrived promptly. They were just your "normal guys", very friendly and did not make a mess at all. I had just finished my hardwood floors so they took extra care to cover up the floor before performing work. They completed the job in 2 days. The crew was very sociable and I trusted them being in my house. They even took and disposed of all my old wood paneling and 1980's style window AC units. As with any big job there were a few errors. They forgot my "double screens" on the windows and the wood paneling around the bay windows got slightly cracked. Being aware that the double screens were missing, Window Universe took care of getting them ordered and installed within a few weeks. The crew came back out to corrected the cracks in the paneling on MY TIME (a Saturday) without any hesitation. I'm not penalizing them for these mistakes because I understand things happen. The important thing is that they QUICKLY, OF NO CHARGE, and ON THE TIME I DECIDED ON came out to correct them. When you have a big job, mistakes can happen. Four months later while preparing my taxes I realized I needed more specific information on my purchase. I emailed the company and within 2 days Andy (another owner) replied with an itemized receipt. Window Universe uses a "one price" system to make prices easier to understand, however you can only claim parts (not labor) when applying for an energy tax credit. Even though they weren't getting any more money from me, they took the time to help me out and itemize my receipt. I got quotes from 3 other companies and Window Universe was by far the best deal. My only opportunity for them would be to start supplying glass block windows. I ordered 10 of those as well from Cleveland Glass Block (great company too, by the way). It would have been nice to get everything from one place, however Window Universe didn't offer them in my area. Overall an A+ job.. I have already recommended the company to a friend and will continue to do so. Thanks guys, you are the best!

Superior customer service and product. They went as far as going to blind stores to personally find a replacement bracket for our blinds (the blinds were obvsiously not their product) that got lost when they were taken down for the window installation. Sam was great to work with and made the process very easy. We have noticed a significant improvement in the stability of the temperature in the rooms with new windows. We can not wait to replace the remainder of the windows in the house with more windows by Window Universe.

I am looking at replacing original windows on the entire house. Frank came and thoroughly explained everything from the windows to removing lead paint to the labor involved. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Based upon other estimates I received, Window Universe seems very fair on their price for the quality. I will be using their services as soon as I can arrange it. Another company I contacted never even met with me. The just sent an estimate by e-mail and never even phoned to see if I had any questions. Window Universe is heads above the others I spoke with, both in terms of customer service and product. In this day of electronic communications, is was refreshing to feel like I am important and valued as a customer.

Exceptional experience from first contact to their follow up call. This was the fourth company I contacted to obtain a cost for replacement of basement windows and entry door. I honestly thought I had already found the company that I would be contracting with but I am a bit obsessive and figured I would get just one more cost for replacements. They were courteous and professional on the phone, flexible around my work schedule. The rep arrived promptly as scheduled, provided me with an impressive amount of information, references and showed me a sample of the window. I indicated I would need to think about this for 24 hours before making a decision. There was absolutely no pressure for me to purchase at that, or any time. I received a courteous email the following day, thanking me for the visit and welcoming me to contact them with any questions. Which I did. I was already confident in the quality of the product (having spent some time googling after the visit.) I wanted to confirm the two things which really made their product stand out: the price (lowest of all, ranging from 200 to 800 less) and the lifetime warranty on the windows. I also asked them to explore fire rated doors for me as well. I must comment that they responded immediately and quickly to every question I had. I spent a few more days deciding on what product I wanted then placed my order. I was advised it would take about a month for the products to be created, at which point they would contact me for installation. Three weeks later they called me on a Thursday and we scheduled the install for the following Monday. Again they arrived promptly, a team of three. They were very attentive to protecting the hardwood floors they were walking on as well as the walls, laying floor cover down and maneuvering the windows carefully as they moved them into the basement. The install was completed without a hitch, much to my relief. I have had the misfortune of several home improvement projects not going smoothly and was frankly pretty nervous. Will and his team were remarkable, responding to the many questions I asked over the course of the time they were there. They then ensured that I was satisfied with the job before leaving. Oh yes, and even hauled the old 6 panel door up to the attic for me. I would recommend this company with no hesitation. Clearly customer satisfaction is a priority, apparent from my first contact to the last call I received several days after the install to ensure I was satisfied. The windows and door are gorgeous. I did scrutinize the install much more closely after they left and over the next day. Highly satisfied with the quality of the product and install job, the knowledge of the reps, and their consistently courteous and professional demeanor. Am reaping the benefits now, as the winter winds are kept outside! Thank you!

Sales guy was very nice and not pushy at all. Had a good product and good price. They came out and measured but one of the dimensions was wrong, so when they came to install the windows, they had to put one of the old ones back in. They had factory make the last window at the right size and installed it within a week. They also gave us a discount for the headache. Nicely done, considering.

When I purchased my bank owned home I chose to use a 203k streamline mortgage, this allowed me to include the repairs into my mortgage. It was important to find a company that would be able to work with my bank. Window Universe was very accommodating providing me the documents I needed to submit to my bank. I contacted a few reputable local companies to come out and provide me with some estimates. I was blown away by the presentation and the knowledge from Window Universe (actually I was already sold on another company but I needed to get some more estimates for comparison). Andy from Window Universe showed up promptly for his appointment and brought some samples for me to see, when he explained that the windows were made by a local company that really impressed me, then he also showed me benefits of the window they sell, the construction, warranties were really impressive. I have to be honest this still isn't' the reason I went with them. It was the service they provided, when Andy came to my home and took a lot of time to go over details and what to expect, he also took the time to let me know how I could get additional rebates from my energy company. The customer service and the attention to detail is why I chose Window Universe. Even though Andy impressed me, I was so overwhelmed by the professionalism of the installers. The were on time, polite and did an amazing job. I will highly recommend this company to anyone looking for replacement windows and doors. The entire experience from beginning to end was exceptional

The original sales call was quick and too the point. Not only did we get out questions answered but there was no pressure sales. The estimate process was quick and easy. The installer who would be doing the work came to double check everything before the day the work would be completed. THis made my wife very comfrtable as I might not have been home the day the work would be completed. On the day they came to do the work, the two man crew who came to install the windows arrived on time and ready to work! These guys were quick and professional! They worked at a blistering speed and the finish quality provided was second to none. I still cane believe how quickly they got all the work done. I love my new windows and I cant wait to open them up in the spring!

I was very much pleased with the work and quality of the windows. Installers were very professional in their work. They were very patient with me with all my questions and concerns during installation. When they were done the clean up was as if they were never there. I would do busines with them again and have recommended them to freinds who are thinking of getting windows.

Our neighbors had windows installed by Window Universe and we were impressed with the workmanship which was equally applied to our installation. Our home was built in 1925 so with this comes the old, drafty single pane windows and unattractive storm covers. The crew did an excellent job with removal, were minimally invasive and surprisingly efficient for 24 windows. The vinyl replacements are a crisp white, look great from the outside of the home, and are shockingly clear in comparison to their predecessors. For all of the benefits it's equally important to note that pricing for the project was very reasonable and in fact, better than other competitors.

We started our window search because we were expecting a baby and we had lead paint in the original windows of our house so we wanted the windows replaced. The house is almost 100 years old. We met with three companies to price out windows. The two other companies that we met with tried to get us to sign up on the spot and when we didn't they suddenly came up with a better offer- we didn't appreciate sales people playing games and expected to receive an honest quote at the start. We then received a quote from Windows Universe. We liked Windows Universe because of their upfront pricing. We knew we were getting a good price on a good quality- their price was a little lower than the other companies we met with for comparable windows. Andy also took time to explain the intricacies of the window, their warranties, the installation and answer our questions. We were impressed with the materials they use (caulk and specialized trim) to ensure the installation is correct. They are a local lakewood company and my husband knew Andy from childhood, so he was confident with working with him. The windows took about a month to be made and installed. The installation crew did an excellent job. We were concerned about the workers being very careful with the lead paint. The company's installers are certified in lead paint removal. They took care to properly seal off the window openings so lead dust did not go in the house and cleaned well afterwards, using a hepa vacuum. The window installation took one day. The outside caps look wonderful and the color selection matches the house well. The windows look fantastic and block out a lot of noise form the street. We would hire them again to put in new windows if we move. We are very impressed and pleased.

After experiencing the dreaded, 3 hour long, high pressure window salesman visits a couple of times last year, my wife and I were reluctant to repeat the experience, but our aging windows were getting worse so we couldn't procrastinate any longer. After reading several Angie's List reviews for Window Universe, I began to see that they were known for their reasonable prices and 'no pressure' home sales visits. I decided to give them a call. After a prompt reply by Andy, Sam stopped by the house and told us about Window Universe and how they did business. There was no pressure, no up-selling and no 'greasy' sales tactics. We were in total control. We asked the questions and Sam gave us the answers. After all of our questions were answered, Sam worked up the price (which was half the price of the previous year's estimates) and we gave him the go ahead there on the spot. The installer came out to the house a few days later to take final measurements and our order was sent to the factory for our windows. During window production, we got weekly emails updating the status of our windows from Sam, so we were always aware of how things were going. After a surprisingly short wait, we got a call and scheduled our installation date. The installation crew did an amazing job. They worked quickly, efficiently and even worked in the rain to complete the job. The windows exceed my expectations. We ordered wood-grained interiors and colored exteriors to match other windows in the house as well as interior oak window trim and the match is amazing. The windows look better than the wood windows that they replaced. The installers did a top notch job on the exterior capping. Very professional looking and the job looks original to the house. The quality of the windows is excellent and Window Universe's lifetime, transferable warranty is a big plus. I highly recommend considering Window Universe for any window replacement needs that you may have. Working with them has been a pleasure from initial contact to job completion.

We had 23 windows replaced; all of our house had original windows. Plus, we had a storm door installed in our back entrance. We have 2 dogs & 2 cats, which were easily handled while they performed their work inside & outside of the house. I cleared as much as I could on my own, but they took care of the moving of some heavy furniture and removal of the mini-blinds. I was thrilled with their work and their professional attitude. Work commenced exactly as scheduled. They also cleaned as they worked and kept me informed as to what they were going to be doing from time to time so I could take the dogs for a walk & check on my cats. From the estimated to the completion of the work, we are so very happy with our windows. We would recommend them to anyone who needs replacements. They sent us a follow up thank you card including the itemized list of all work, warranty, care & maintenance as well as a $50 gift card and a $50 referral card. There are so many companies out there that give you a whole lot of babble & hard to understand jargon to justify an outrageous bill but not Window Universe. We got a couple estimates on two bay windows and two doors from various companies. We were impressed with Sam Steinakcer when he came to give us an estimate. We liked his demeanor, his knowledge of the products and enjoyed his heartfelt desire to make us happy. The lost adage of "customer is always right" came through loud and clear and that is what sold us on Window Universe. Sam did not let us down, in fact we plan on doing another bay, another door, and if there is a sale going on like the one I just saw on "buy it now" in Angie's List we will also purchase the ten window deal. We got weekly updates on the progress of our window and doors, so there was no wondering. The crew team showed up on time, went to great lengths to cover carpeting and furniture with plastic and moved anything that may have been in the way. When the job was finished, everything was put back in its place as if they had never been there...good as new! Their names were Chris, Marvin and John and we will request them again next summer. They worked well together, were organized and efficient, they were polite and friendly but not overbearing. In fact I was speaking with Marvin about the upcoming election and Chris very meekly reminded me that the job needed to get done, so if anyone was overbearing it was probably me! It was just getting dark when the job was completed. All the old doors, window and garbage was packed up in the truck and our front yard was spotless again. Beside the excellent service the window and doors are quality, so much so that I am looking forward to next summer!! If you are looking for stellar windows or doors....look no further. Just ask for Sam.

The gentleman that gave the quote, Sam, was very courteous and professional. He looked over all the windows and gave us the quote in less than hour. He gave us a really detailed quote on the spot. I would definitely recommend them to others. Installation: Sam and Andy (Lakewood office) definitely make customer service a priority, and the install team was courteous and professional. Window Universe will be at the top of my list for future window installs! Window Quality: Purchased double-hung vinyl windows with a Rich Maple interior finish. Windows look great. Really like the anti-glare coating on the windows and would purchase these again. French Style Sliding Vinyl Door: Solidly built, but it's too difficult to slide--I would not order this door again. Sam worked with the manufacturer too see what adjustments could be made, but ultimately the design of the door rollers was determined to be the problem.

From the initial phone call to Window Universe, everything went great with this project. Sam came out for the consultation, we let him know what we were looking for and he guided us right thru the process without trying to sell us something we didn't want. In fact, he even made a suggestion that saved us about $500. He explained everything in detail, but not condescendingly which you sometimes get with sales people! He also alerted us to First Energy's rebate program saving us MORE money!The whole process, from consultation to installation took approximately 5 weeks and Heather kept us up to date on weekly basis on the status of our order. What really surprised me most was that they scheduled the install for a Sunday/Monday, without me even asking for a weekend date! Will and his crew arrived promptly and got right to work. They removed the old windows from the outside so the mess inside was very minimal, mostly just dust. They finished up the job on the Monday and the windows look great!I would definately recommend Window Universe to anyone!

Knowing we had to replace 4 windows in our home and it being our first major project, we were alittle nervous with all the window companies out there. How do we choose the right company. After reading reviews of many companies on Angies List and not wanting to be pressured into upsells and different buying tactics we contacted Window Universe based on other Angie List reviews. We received a call the very next day by Heather Yannucci to set up a free in home estimate. Heather was very professional, telling us about the company and what we should expect. A few days later we had the pleasure of Sam Steinacker coming to show us the window options and answering all our questions. Sam was down to earth and very easy going and we never felt pressured to buy. We had an amount in mind that we wanted to spend and Window Universe was below that amount. We told Sam that we would like to use them and a few days later Chris and John came to measure the windows. We decided to add a 5th window after everything was measured and everything was already rolling, so i called Sam and he said not a problem and Chris or John (sorry forget which one) came back to measure the 5th window. I had worked 3rd shift the day before when i didn't plan on working that shift and overslept when they came to measure the 5th window. He waited 40 minutes in his car before i finally woke up. (What company waits that long???) Talk about going above and beyond for the customer!!!! I felt VERY bad and was VERY impressed that he waited that long. We understood that adding the window late would add time to the install date, and we received weekly update emails from Heather letting us know everything that was happening. When we got the call that they are ready and to set up the install we were HAPPY. We set it up and the installers Chris and John came out and did a TERRIFIC job. Everything looks AWESOME and they cleaned up and you couldn't even tell they were here. From start to finish Window Universe"s staff was beyond anything we expected!!!! Words can't say how glad we are that we choose them. Me and my wife STRONGLY suggest this company!!!! WINDOW UNIVERSE!!!!!!
