They're great! They are dependable, reliable, responsive, experienced, and prompt. They have replaced both my furnaces, both my air conditioners and done other jobs for me as well and have done a outstanding job.

Arrived promptly, got the job done quick and right.

They tried to put in a 91% effecient furnace but not doable in this house(built in 1898) so they installed the same effeciency furnace as we had.

The work went well. They were on time. We used them again in the sumer to service our air conditioner. While the work on the air conditioner was good, their prices were almost three times as high as other service providers in the area, hence the low grade in price.

Very pleased with the communication and service provided. Cannot say how the price compared but it seemed reasonable to me. My furnace is working again and I am ready for the winter now! And the furnace is quieter than it has ever been with any other service providers which is bonus. So pleased with the service I have booked them to return to replace my old water heater.

He left his gages on the AC over night to make sure it was really leaking, which it was. Came back the next day and the pressure had dropped a little. He was here all day repairing the leak and I haven't had issues since.

Work was done quickly and professionally.

Fine - he took the outside cover off, checked the coolant pressure which was perfectly fine. Hosed off the dirt on the compressor. Showed me how I could tell that the compressor was ready to die soon, and told me that when that happens the whole system needed to be replaced. He replaced the cover, got his check and left. My A/C system is now dead as of 7/20/13. The end.

Lakewood helped tremendously in dealing with our home warranty provider. They were prompt and efficient, and we are confident that they fixed the problem correctly.

I was extremely unsatisfied with the service. The technician was late for the appointment I scheduled. Also, when I scheduled the appointment, I made Lakewood Furnace aware that the air conditioner was located on the roof (which is typical for a comercial property) and that he would need a long ladder to reach it. Not only was the technician late, but he did not have a long enough ladder to reach the roof, plus I was informed that no one else would be able to come out on the same day to inspect the air conditioner. I did not appreciate taking time out of a busy schedule for a company that was incapable of performing the work. Now I will need to find someone else who can do the job.

Replaced my water heater. Improperly soldered the connections above the unit, causing corrosion and the plastic on top of water heater to melt over the following months. Also used steel gas line fixtures for some of the H2O connections!!! Talked me into a smaller water heater than I should have in my house. As a result it takes longer to get hot water to each tap. My original unit had been an old all copper Rheem model. When I had another plumbing company come in to repair the connections, they said I should have had the heater re-built instead of replacing the whole unit. Had the repairs done by another provider 6 months ago and everything is fine now. Should not have gone with the low cost provider. Ended up costing me more...

The whole repair was done under warranty and took about a week because the new coil had to come from the warehouse. During that time they kept the air conditioning unit charged with freon so the house stayed cool. The actual repair took about two hours. It was done in a very efficient manner and the workmanship was excellent. I have been doing business with Lakewood furnace for over twenty five years and wood highly recommend them.

I am an out of state landlord. Lakewood furnace has serviced my furnace and a/c needs for the past 5-6 years. They are easy to work with and work well to schedule service with my tenants.

I am very happy with Lakewood Furnace. Having grown up in a family that was in this business in Lorain County and no longer does residential work I had a sense of what to look for when the technician arrived. Their office scheduler took care of me promptly and in less than two hours of my initial call their truck had arrived. The tech was very professional, obviously experienced, and parts for my off brand furnace were on hand in his truck. He did exactly what I wanted and no unneeded work was suggested or billed. I highly recommend this company.

I came home at 4:30 pm to find our furnace had died. Living in Lakewood, and near the end of the workday, I called Lakewood Furnace (highly rated on Angie's List). The phone receptionist was very nice. Within an hour, the service man arrived as estimated. Very nice gentleman. He resolved the issue within five minutes (our thermostat was shot). My husband had already bought a thermostat to install and the gentleman said it would be much cheaper for my husband to go ahead and finish the job. The receptionist had told me that the fee would be $145-150 just to diagnose the problem, and they would allow me to use the Angie's List $25 coupon. However, for a five minute visit in the neighborhood, I would have thought $100 would have been more fair. Overall, I was pleased and will use them again.

I discovered chimney damage that was preventing proper venting of my furnace and hot water heater, so I had to upgrade to higher efficiency models that could be vented out of the side walls of the house. Due to the high recommendations of Angie's List customers, and proximity to my home, Lakewood Furnace was my first call. But, I didn't hear back right away, so I went with another company. While I was negotiating with the other company, Lakewood Furnace did call back and apologized profusely for missing the call. I let them know that I had already made a verbal agreement with the other company, and I didn't want to waste their time, but that I wouldn't mind getting a second opinion, just because it was such an expensive project. He came out right away, confirmed a lot of the things the other firm had told me, offered a quote that was competitive with the other firm, and was very helpful and knowledgeable about Lakewood code in a way that ended up saving me a few bucks with the other company. Although I ended up honoring the verbal agreement with the other company, I was very appreciative of his time and courtesy, and would highly recommend hiring Lakewood Furnace.

Called the company. Spoke with their sales manager. Prior day a technician had come out and assessed our situation. So when I called the next day they had all of the technician's notes and were ready for my call. We discussed options for replacement. The sales manager called me later in the day with a cost for the furnace replacement and installation. The next day (Friday) the workmen came and replaced the furnace. Although we were not fully hooked up, we had heat for the weekend. The technician arrived promptly Monday morning and by 3:30 pm we were completely hooked-up and operational. We are well pleased with the service and attention to our needs. Everyone in the company was responsive and we did not feel at any time that our needs were secondary to other company work.

The person who answered the phone at Lakewood Furnace was very friendly and informed me of a sale that was going on. One thing that was great was that they are able to come out on Saturdays, because my job is not very flexible. We scheduled for a Saturday that happened to fall right after Sandy. So lots of people were without heat and power. They called to see if we could reschedule so they could prioritize the people who did not have heat, and of course that was fine. We rescheduled for the following Saturday. The person was on time and called before he arrived. The service was discounted from $120 to $89 but still seemed a little expensive considering it took only about 20 minutes!

Scheduled for a Saturday - very nice that they have weekend hours so I don't have to miss work. The technician arrived within the time window provided and checked out the water heater. He said he can't install a new flue until a chimney liner is installed. I spoke with the office again the following week and was told a new flue can be installed prior, and they could do a chimney liner in a few weeks. I asked to reschedule the flue install for the following Saturday and additionally to get the furnace cleaned and inspected, and they agreed. Also asked to be put on the schedule for a chimney liner. Saturday the 21st came and went with no word from them. Somebody was even home all day. I tried calling the office but they only have an emergency answering service on Saturdays, even though the technicians work regular appointments. I called the office Monday morning and was told the technician called both numbers they had and left voice messages. Additionally he tagged the door. There were no messages, and no door tag.

Technician diagnosed the problem and repaired it promptly and professionally.

Frank got to work, found the problem created by another company, corrected it and serviced the air conditioner unit. He was very pleasant to work with. Air conditioner is fixed and running well. Good experience will use again. Just wish the office personnel would give a window of time in which the technician would be arriving. Instead, technician calls when about 20 minutes from your home, which Frank did.

I was told someone would be out to the house between 2 and 4. I asked for a call ahead because I wouldn't be home and they said it was no problem. The day of the appointment I got a call from the technician at 4:40. He was at my house already and seemed upset that I wasn't there. I explained that I was suppose to get a call ahead notice and he chalked it up to miscommunication at the office. I could tell that he was very frustrated by the tone in is voice as if it was my problem that we would have to reschedule. He asked when would be a good time to come back out I said that mornings were better for me so he said that he would call me the next day at 8:30. 9:30 came and went the next day and still no call. As of 5pm, I still haven't heard back from anyone. Very disappointing.

They are professional, clean, and use good products.

I own a rental in Lakewood and the furnace would often quit working. I called Lakewood Furnace and they came out the next day. The repair man checked a couple different electrical connections and ended up replacing a part. Nothing was mentioned about the price until the end. I guess that's ok, but had i known 45 min. service call (the house was 4 blocks from their office) and a $90 part (i looked online after) would cost about $450, i probably would have spent a little more and replaced the whole furnace. Other than that, i'm happy they responded quickly and were able to get the furnace working again. It's nice when tenants are happy. The repair man was thorough and definitely knew what he was doing. I will definitely use this company again, but will make sure they explain prices up front.

They were able to come out when I needed them. Everything was great.
