I would highly recommend this company for a new furnace, and will definitely use them again for any other service they provide. My experience with the project coordinator, Paul Campbell, was excellent. Paul showed up when stated, was extremely courteous and professional, gave me many different options to choose from, including the ability to add on whole house air conditioning at a later date, provided me a detailed proposal pricing the various options we discussed, and explained the process and answered all my many questions. He and installer Don showed up right on time on the designated date and time, worked cheerfully through a structural challenge with my house, and did a fantastic job cleaning up after the job was completed. Paul did an excellent job in orienting me to my new furnace, from patiently explaining how to program the thermostat to teaching me how the furnace worked differently from my old one. He made sure to answer all my questions, and explained how to maintain the system. I was left with a whole box of furnace filters. The furnace installation passed my city's inspection with flying colors. Note that the timing of my old furnace's breakdown was during a very hectic holiday week for all furnace installers and servicers, as the temperature had just dropped and many people were experiencing furnace problems. I greatly appreciated Paul's candor on the scheduling of the installation, and he had already checked on the availability of all the parts being in stock before I even accepted the proposal. I am very glad I waited to make sure Air-Rite Service Supply was the company to install my new furnace. P.S. As a woman living alone, I felt extremely safe and comfortable with this company's installers in my home. They also laid dropcloths down on every floor before entering my home. More importantly, I was treated with respect in all dealings with this company.

Called and scheduled an appt for afternoon (between Noon and 4pm) on Wed May 18th. Due to very heavy rain that afternoon, they called me to cancel and rescheduled the appt for Thursday May 26th between 8am and Noon. They called me at about 8:15am on the 26th to verify I would be home. Serviceman arrived approx 9:05 am. He found one A/C to be fine, cleaned, checked and tested. On the 2nd unit he found a new compressor which had been installed the previous summer was no longer working. They will order a new compressor and call me when it arrives (next week) to schedule an appt to install it. Serviceman finished approx 10:10 am. Serviceman (Eric) was very professional. Covered his feet before each time he came into the house. Left work area clean and neat.

About 6:30 pm I became aware it was getting chilly in house. Looked at thermostat. It was set for 68 degrees but showing actual temp of 62. I checked furnace, saw pilot light was lit. Checked circuit breakers, they were okay. Main burner was not running. Also, when I set the fan switch on the thermostat to manual, the blower fan did not come on. Called Air Rite 24 hour number a few minutes after 6:30 pm. Within 10 minutes serviceman called me back. He had 2 stops before mine, would call me when they were done, probably near 10pm. He called me back at 9:45, said he would reach my house in about 30 minutes. He arrived in 25. He checked the furnace and blower motor/fan, determined they were okay. He then checked the thermostat, determined it had failed. He offered me my choice of a new plain thermostat or two different programmable models. I selected one of the programmable ones. Serviceman installed it, tested it, showed me how to operate it, and was completely finished by 11pm. The $308 total included $138.00 for the new thermostat I selected, $88 for labor, and $82 for the emergency night time service call.

Technician called ahead 15-20 minutes before arriving. Arrived at 10:00 am.Performed thorough cleaning and safety inspection of both furnaces and their attached Aprilaire humidifiers. Finished approximately 11:45 am. Technician was very professional, and left the work area clean.

I noticed A/C unit seemed to be running (air coming out of house vents) but house was staying very warm. Called Air Rite. They offered to come out the same day, but I scheduled an appt for next morning, Technician came out, opened outside unit, found blown electrical capacitor and failed compressor. Unit was somewhere around 30 years old. Technician obtained compatible two-and-a-half ton rated compressor. Came back on a day I scheduled (could have been the next day if I wasn't so busy that week). Arrived at 9:30 am, replaced bad capacitor, bad compressor, and several other electrical components; installed outside electrical cutoff box for A/C unit, so no future need to run up and down basement steps to circuit breaker panel. Recharged system with freon-like chemical. Tested and verified unit now working properly. Total expense right on the estimate I was given. Technician was very professional. Did an excellent job of cleaning up the work area.

I realized A/C unit was running for over an hour but house was not cooling at all. Air was coming out of vents, so I knew the blower motor in the furnace was working okay. Called Air Rite late Wednesday morning June 23rd. They offered to send a technician out the same day, but as I was not going to be home in the afternoon, I requested service on the next day, Thursday June 24th. Operator said they would call ahead before sending the technician. Received the call at 10:30 Thursday morning. Technician arrived at 11:00 am. He quickly determined the fan motor on the outside unit was failing. It would start up, run for only a minute or two, then stop, even though the compressor was still running. Technician removed the very old motor, replaced it with a new one from his truck. He also pressure tested the system, determined it was a little low on freon or whatever they use in place of it these days, and added some. He then checked and tested the operation of the new fan and the entire A/C system to verify proper operation. Finished at 12:40 pm. Technician was very professional. Charges included $ 41 for the service call, $ 116 for new motor, $ 9 for a capacitor for the motor, $ 24 for the freon, and $ 132 for the labor, total charge $ 322

My experience with him was very good. The young man who came out seemed very knowledgeable. He was very polite and explained the different costs for doing it in different ways. I was very satisfied with his work. He had also cleaned up after himself and there was no mess.

I called Air Rite for an appointment, got one on a date that was convenient for me. Company rep called me at 11:15 am on the appointment day, to be sure I was at home and it was a good time. When I said yes, she told me the service tech would arrive shortly. Tech arrived at 11:45 am. Tech looked and acted professionally. Performed careful inspection of two whole house air conditioning units, both the portions in the basement as well as the outside compressor units. Performed various safety tests and checks, checked level of freon (satisfactory), checked and tested operation of both units. Replaced both furnace/ac air filters with new ones I had on hand. Cleaned units. Finished both units in almost exactly one hour. No extra work or extra charges were needed.

He did a great job, advised us on function and maintenance, and spent extra time on our house call with no increase in price.

Called Air-Rite Sept 30th to schedule an appointment for annual clean and safety check of two furnaces and attached humidifiers. First appointment offered did not fit my schedule, agreed to a later appointment for October 15th. Air Rite does not set an exact time, but calls ahead about 20-30 minutes before technician will arrive. Rec'd call about 9:40 am on the 15th, technician arrived at about 10:00 am. He went right to work, finished both units in about an hour and twenty minutes. Did a professional job, cleaned up work area before he left. Results exactly what I expected. Entirely satisfactory experience. I use Air Rite for this service every fall, never had a bad experience.

They were very responsive and extremely attentive to our needs. I feel that they are rather creative in solving our problems. Their prices were reasonable.

They send me a card to tell me it is time to get them checked. They have a flat rate. They bill me and I don't have to pay up front. They call before they come to make sure I am there. They are good. They always have their uniform on so I know who they are. They are professional looking and do a good job.

I contacted this company in the fall about a noise I was hearing in the living room. It continued on so I decided to call Air-Rite company about the issue. The girl that was answering the phone didn't understand my issue and didn't send anyone out to check. I didn't have heat in my garage (which has baseboard heating) so I called again and I got a response. They came out and said that there was a leaking pump in the assembly. They charged me a labor charge of $220.00 and a part charge for the pump of $178.00. There was a $4.00 fuel surcharge as well as a service charge of $41.00. The total was $443.00. It seems to me that after my fall check up within a month I have to call them back to have something else repaired. I am starting to feel as though their "check-ups" are not as thorough as they should be. I would like this company to treat their customers with respect in regards to ANY issue they present to them. Based on their findings that they make recommendations whether they are going to solve the issue or not.

They have come and did service for me every year for about 20 years. They have always provided excellent service. They are very friendly. They seem to get the job done quickly. They also do a nice job to not make a mess.

I phoned company on Sept. 23, 2008, scheduled an appointment for afternoon of October 1st. I was told the office would call me ahead of the serviceman arriving, between Noon and 4:00 pm. On October 1st, office called me about 12:30, said serviceman will arrive within 30-60 minutes. Uniformed Serviceman arrived at 1:10 pm. He checked, cleaned and safety checked two furnaces and two April-Aire humidifiers. Replaced old water filter panels in both humidifiers. He finished up about 2:40 pm. He reported both furnaces okay for upcoming season, although one showing signs of age and rust. He left the work area clean and neat. Very professional.

They did a very good job and were very satisfactory. I have had no problems come up from what they worked on.

Air Rite did an AMAZING job. They were incredibly conscientious thinking about where all the holes for the A/C should be placed. They were always on time and very clean and neat. They were by FAR my best contractor (I had 12 different contractors in the house at once).

Service Technician Eric showed up promptly, was clean, neat and courteous. Completed the work quickly and efficiently. Left the area spotlessly clean. I have Air Rite inspect and clean my furnaces every year, and I have never had any cause for complaint. An excellent company to do business with.

The serviceman arrived within 90 minutes of my call to the company. They did a professional job and cleaned up after his work.

Did a great job. I did not mention the humidifier concerns before hand so the office was contacted and brought out required materials so he could keep working. Very professional. The only complaint was that they could not provide a time frame for the visit other than the day.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS ON TIME AND WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. DID CAREFUL, THOROUGH WORK AND LEFT THE AREA CLEAN AND NEAT. EXCELLENT SERVICE.

THEY CAME ON TIME AND, AS ALWAYS, HAD THE RIGHT FILTERS AND PARTS THEY NEEDED. MY FURNACE IS IN TOP WORKING CONDITION FOR THE WINTER SEASON SO THAT I WILL HAVE IT AT PEAK PERFORMANCE DURING THE HIGH ENERGY COST PERIOD.

THEY DO A GREAT JOB, BUT THEY ARE NOT OPEN ON SATURDAYS ANYMORE. VERY NICE MEN. VERY NICE JOB.
