gas leak repair
+ -1 moreEven though he wasn't supposed to, the gas company representative that shut everything off recommended Kline and Kavali. Even though I called in the morning, they managed to squeeze me in the same day. The guys that came out to give the estimate wouldn't give me a dollar figure, but said it wouldn't require any materials, and wouldn't need more than a couple of hours of labor. The service guy that came out checked every accessible connection in the basement, and couldn't find the leak. He then checked everything outside and found the lead was in the pipe leading from the meter into the house, and the smell was just drifting in through the wall. Once he fixed that, he pressure tested the lines to make sure there wasn't another leak in the inaccessible lines in the house, and cleaned up the mess the gas company had made, not him. He did all this even though it was after 5 pm and he still had another job to go to.
Description of Work: Traced and repaired a gas leak.

+ -1 moreWE LEFT THEM A MESSAGE ON THEIR ANSWERING MACHINE, WHICH SAID THEY OPENED AT 7:00 AM. BY 7:15 AM THE NEXT MORNING, THEY CALLED US AND SENT SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY. THE THERMOCOUPLER WAS REPLACED AND THE PROBLEM SOLVED WITHIN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR.
Description of Work: ON A SUNDAY MORNING, WE AWOKE WITHOUT HEAT. MY HUSBAND WAS UNABLE TO RELIGHT THE PILOT OF THE FURNACE. WE CALLED AN EMERGENCY SERVICE, WHO WANTED $200 TO COME OVER AND WE DECIDED THAT, BECAUSE THE TEMPERATURE WAS TO BE MODERATE THAT DAY, WE WOULD WAIT 24 HOURS AND CALL KLINE-KAVALI, WHO HAD WORKED FOR US PREVIOUSLY.
