I pulled his name off of Angie"s List and as all the reports show, he answered the call immediately quoted over the phone for a cable replacement, showed up that day and performed all the work. He is very trustworthy and genuine and is not out to get you!

Joe is exceptional as a person and professional. He was prompt in response to our call, explained what needed to be done and gave us the estimate that was very reasonable. He was remarkable in detail and answered without annoyance our many questions. He provided free of charge many improvements and upgrades - too many to list. Most importantly he extended his warranty to 5 years. Within a few days he was able to start the work and finished it within 5 hours thanks to the help of his associate and friend Dave( also an independent owner of the garage door company who was trained by Joe). The final product, our new doors, was perfect. We both feel we received more than expected in quality of product and services.

I called this company at 5:00 p.m. regarding the broken spring on my garage door. I told him I'd found him on Angies List. He pleasantly said he could come tonight in about an hour and a half after finishing another job. He said he would be very busy the next few days with other jobs and would it be alright if he came this evening. I was delighted. He called later and said the job he was on was very difficult and taking longer than he thought; would I still like him to come? I said "certainly." He arrived at about 7:35. Gave me an estimate, said it would take him about 45 minutes since he should have the parts with him in the truck, which he did. I consented. He got to work and replaced the spring, and oiled everything so it works better than ever, and made some adjustments. I asked for the broken spring so that my son could take it in to sell scrap metal and he congenially obliged me, even though he could have scrapped it himself for extra money. He even gave me the name of another scrapping company my son could try that might pay more! I thought he was very reasonable and he was certainly pleasant, efficient, punctual and I was happy I gave my business to this local company. I would recommend him to anyone.

Joe provided great service. Last night my garage door wouldn't close properly, it looked like a cable was broken. I called first thing this morning and Joe was able to come out within about 2 hours. He quickly found the problem and fixed it. He also added some weather stripping to the bottom of my door. Joe is very professional and his rates are extremely reasonable. I received an estimate for the job the day after calling including an explaination on the different door thickness before making a decision. He was very prompt and was able to perform the job in only a few days. I've used his services before on another one of our homes and have nothing but great service!

Could you please become a general contractor Joe? It's a pity that a guy this reliable and professional and eager to do the job right does just one trade. When Joe came out to take measurements and discuss doors, he saw an opportunity to make my old door safer until the new one arrived. He must have spent 20 minutes working on it, free of charge. Joe takes the opportunity to upgrade a lot of the hardware the manufacturer suggests that customers use; again, he doesn't jack up the price when he does so--he just wants to do the job right. Please do yourself a favor and call Joe. If only other service providers made life this easy.

It went fabulously well. We brought Residential Door in on a recommendation from Angie's List over winter, as one of our garage doors had a collapsed panel. We have a three car garage, all with separate doors. At the time, only the center one had an automatic opener. After examining the door for a couple minutes, he explained that the door and been catching on the outer rubber guards. Over time, this stress caused the small steel frame & top panel to collapse from the repetitive stress. We discussed various options, and he gave us a quote for repairing the broken door, adding an automatic opener to an additional door, and adjusting the springs and tracks for all three doors. As we had recently straightened the frame of the garage, the adjustment was sorely necessary. The quote of $450 did not include moving the rubber guards or buying the new panel, as I could do those for cheaper. Unfortunately, my wife & I's finances were immediately were stretched after he came out to visit. We were forced to wait about four months for our tax return before we could call him. He still remembered our situation, was able to come out within the week, and fixed the doors in a couple hours time. We are still amazed at the quality and amount of work we received for under $450.

It went really well. I would recommend them. The gentleman in charge is very professional, has a good personality and does good work. You can tell he is very knowledgeable and cares about his work. He is also reasonably priced.

The tension wire on my garage door snapped, and the garage door fell out of the tracks.. I called on Sunday and received a reply first thing Monday morning. Joe went to my house, provided an estimate immediately, and then fixed the garage right away. The repair was done very professionally and reasonably. The garage door is working better and more silently now than in a long time.

Joe came to my house and gave an estimate which was much lower than other estimates. The door was special order. He called in two weeks and said the door was in and and he could be out early next week. Joe arrived on time, worked about 3 hours. Everything was done professionally and I was very happy with how everything looked. He left my garage clean and removed all of the old door. Joe was friendly and offered many tips on care of the garage and how to install the opener which I was planning to do myself. I would highly recommend Residential Door.

He fixed it and realigned the springs and didn't charge anything extra for the additional services.

Garage door failed to work (open only part way). Called and left message, call returned within hour. We "checked" the garage door together over the telephone so both he and I had a clear idea what the repair entailed. We made an early Saturday appointment went over all options (full replacement to repair) total time two hours. He spent a fair amount of the time to correct and adjust the system. He was knowledgeable, methodical, and thorough. I have no reservation in recommending his services. When it is time to replace my doors I will call him for an estimate.

I have had one spring broken for about six month but just didn't get to it. I decided to check the list and found that Resdoor was number 1, hands down. I sent Joe an email, he called the next morning, and he came out and completed the work later in the morning. The door, operating on one spring, was very noisy. Now it is quiet with minimal vibration. Joe also adjusted the tracks and made sure that my opener was working properly.

This company is the best. I emailed a request at 11pm Friday night and by 8:30 Saturday morning I was given a call back. He was able to come to the house and repair the opener before noon. He quoted the job at under $100. He was on time. I had a car in the garage that had a flat. He filled the tire to move the car. The works was as described and very professional. I highly recommend this company

I called Joe at 12:30 on Saturday to inquire about a garage door opener. Less than fours hours later, I had my new opener installed and operational. I really appreciated the quick service and great value.

Called and left a message. Got a call right back. Price quoted on the phone. Was out within an hour and fixed the garage door. Excellent service. Very professional.

We had an excellent experience with Jim and would highly recommend him. We called Jim and within 1/2 hour he was at the house, gave us a couple of options with various estimates then repaired the garage door for the least amount. He replaced an old spring that was rusted, (our decision) and repaired the other spring that was improperly installed by a previous contractor about two weeks ago. The previous contractor came back out prior to Jim coming to the house and blamed everything except this own work. He blamed the garage door opener, the tracks, cables whatever he could. He then left without fixing his work. Jim came and checked out everything, including the opener and found that the opener was functioning fine and that the spring was improperly installed. He replaced the old spring, repaired the improperly installed spring, checked out everything, lubricated everything and now the garage door and opener work better than they ever have.

He was really good and helped me. He took care of everything. I can really tell the difference because it is really windy out today and the doors are not shaking. The doors look beautiful. He was very reasonable, on time, and very courteous. He is a top notch service man. I woud highly recommend.

Both springs cracked on a Monday morning, making the garage door inoperable and leaving both cars trapped in the garage. Mr. Chervenak personally answered my call, advised that he had a similar job to do on the West side, then would come to our house in Northern Summit county. He asked a few questions about the door and gave an estimate. He arrived at 11:30 AM, installed the springs, lubricated and adjusted the door, and charged the same amount that he gave as an estimate. This guy understands what customer service is all about.
