High praise! Great experience! I placed the call to Residential Door because, from what I could see, my cable snapped and the door wouldn't open. I used Angie's List to find him and was impressed by all of the positive reviews! Joe asked a few questions over the phone to better assess the issue and came prepared to repair the problem. This also included a broken torsion spring that I hadn't noticed before but clearly was broken! (This is why I call in the professionals!) He also checked the overall condition and was finished within an hour. The work and parts came with a lengthy warranty. I am very satisfied with his prompt response and professional, friendly service. I found his price to be very reasonable for his quality service. I will recommend him to my family and friends and use him again myself.

Joe was excellent! The spring on our garage door broke on a Friday evening. We found Residential Door and called them first thing Saturday morning. I stated what the problem was and a price was provided to replace 1 spring or to replace both. Within 30-40 minutes Joe was at our house and both springs were replaced! He checked the door overall, oiled the hinges and reset the tension on the door opener. Excellent service, super friendly and professional. We would highly recommend this company!

Joe was great. Was able to come out next day. Good communication ,fair pricing, answered all my questions. He even replaced a burned out light bulb in my opener. Door working great now. Would hire again.

Joe did a very complete job in not only replacing springs, but also checking entire door and opener to make sure all was working properly. Scheduled time convenient for me after work to fix the door. Very pleased with Joe and his work - would defintely recommend!

Joe happened to be driving in the area when I called to make an appointment, and he was willing to come to our house right away. Knowing the issue was a broken spring, he quoted and explained the price options over the phone and again when he arrived, explaining the differences. He performed the repair immediately and even replaced the lightbulbs that were out on the garage door opener. Very reasonable price for the parts and his time. Highly recommend!

My husband is recovering from surgery, so snow shoveling is my current responsibility. When I finished shoveling and shut the garage door around 1 PM, it landed with a BIG BANG! I looked up and saw that a spring above the door had snapped. There's never a good time to have your garage door break, but this was especially bad timing for us. Having relied on Joe Chervenak twice before for door problems, I didn't panic. The sticker for his company was on our door, so I called Joe right away. He was finishing up on a job in Seven Hills but assured me he would be he would be here by 2:30. He actually arrived at 2:05 PM, and repeated the price quote he had given me over the phone. He's a hard-working, conscientious and talented man who gave me two options for the work to be done. The job was done quickly, with 2 high cycle springs installed + lube for the quoted price, which included sales tax, parts and labor. We couldn't ask for a better person to repair our garage door and at a very price. HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOE AND HIS COMPANY.

Joe was great. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. The entire job went exactly how we discussed during the estimate. Joe arrived on time to install the doors and the job was completed in one day. He completely replaced every piece of hardware and upgraded several of the garage door components to ensure a long life for our new garage doors.

I had a greater than 25 year old garage door opener that had none of the safety features of the new garage door openers. I called Joe and he provided me with a choice of new garage door openers. He also provided me with the prices to completely replace the old unit. He came out on the agreed date and was very punctual . He replaced the old unit and provided instructions for use on the new unit. The guy is a complete professional no hard sale and he provides excellent service, a quality product at a great price. Will use him again when I my garage door needs to be replaced.

He went above and beyond on this job. The supplier misquoted the price to him, so his estimate was too low - but he honored the price estimate he gave me. He'd definitely have to charge more if he did this for anyone else. It was also a lot more work than he expected. He did a thoroughly professional job and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any job related to the garage door.

Replaced cables in garage door. Called at 9pm and he was out the next morning. Knew what the problem was right away. $95 was the price to replace the cables. Very nice guy and quick repair. Would recommend.

In mid September one of the torsion springs on our garage door broke. We called Residential Door and Joe came out to give us a quote on repairs. Before he arrived we new that, since the door was 27 years old, we would be replacing and not repairing. Joe gave us a great price for the best quality door. We know this because we had priced doors about a year ago. We ordered the door and he informed us that the door would take about 2 weeks to arrive. We ordered the door and as Joe was leaving he noticed our lawn tractor and asked if it was going to be an issue. Given that the door was very heavy (to heavy to be opened by hand) and given that the door wouldn't open with the broken spring, we said yes but we would deal with it. Joe immediately went to work, replace the broken spring, got the door to work, all at no charge. We tried our best to get him to accept payment for the work but he said "I'll just take the spring back when I replace your door". Joe replaced the door today and it looks and works great. Not often can we say we like to part with our money but in this case it was a pleasure.

I don?t often write reviews (sorry, Angie), but had to post this one for Joe, as he is one of the best home service-providers I've used. While unassuming and personable, he still has passion for his work, and appears solution-based, rather than sales focused. While he doesn't offer cut-rate ?deals?, nor is he overpriced, instead offering a selection of quality products, clearly explaining the pros and cons of each level, along with recommended hardware upgrades, and he does all the work personally, rather than contracting out. He took the time to walk through my development with color samples, allowing me to satisfy our condo Board with a close match with existing product. He worked carefully and methodically, installing my new Haas insulated door in about 3 1/2 hours. After he left, I inspected it carefully, and was astonished to find every seam, bolt and external framing to be pitch-perfect ? it truly looks like new home construction. (I almost passed by my own driveway the first time in) There are bigger firms out there with more reviews, but you?d be foolish not to add Joe to your short list. (No, I?m not a relative, just a very satisfied customer.)
