Best service person in any category we have had. Our spring broke on a Saturday leaving our cars stuck in the garage. We called several companies and most were unresponsive. We then called Residential, and Joe answered immediately. When we called, he quoted us a price, and said he would be over in 30 minutes. He arrived early. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Due to errors from the previous spring installation (performed by a different company), the job was more difficult and took longer than normal. Joe was more than happy to spend this extra time in order to ensure that the springs were properly installed this time around. Despite the extra time, he did not charge extra. Would absolutely use him again for future garage issues.

Experience went very well, this is the 2nd time we have used this company. We called the company (after my neighbor figured out that our garage wasn't opening due to the springs breaking), and set up the appointment-got the estimate over the phone. The tech came and replaced the springs on the door with double springs. The whole process was flawless-would definitely recommend this company.

Joe, his service, punctuality and professionalism can be summed up in one word: AMAZING. Perhaps the best merchant I've ever encountered. He installed three new doors with tracks and one door opener in one day by himself, then adjusted the limits and greased the chains on the other two door openers. He returned my calls quickly and was on time for the estimate and installation. When done my garage was actually a bit cleaner then when he started. The estimate and final price matched to the penny. There were a couple irregularities with my door openings and ceiling height but Joe made everything work and look great, at no additional cost. What more could you ask for? They originally came out on a service call to repair a cable on my door. I questioned him on the price of a new door and opener. He took the time to show me all the options of a new door and opener and explained the pros and cons of each. There was no high pressure to buy a certain door. The decision was mine. Everything went well with the installation. He took the time to explain everything he did. He definately cares about the quality of his work and is always available by phone to answer your questions.

I have an old wood garage door - this morning one of the side cables broke, stranding me (and my car) inside. I was certain that I would have to take the whole day off from work. I called Joe, hopeful that he could make it out sometime today. He worked me in first thing this morning, and was here within the hour. He got the door repaired in time for me to make my first meeting of the day. bonus - the repair was under the estimated price! This was all done even before I told him I was an Angies List person. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

I contacted Joe, who was recommended to me by someone I know when my garage door opener died. Joe gave me some garage door opener brand/style options; I made a selection; and we set the day and time for installation. He came on time, did a great job, and turned out to be a really nice person too. There is no question that I would call on Joe again should the need arise and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

The service went very well. Joe was prompt and the job was done in the length of time promised. My garage was swept out thoroughly when the job was finished. It was a pleasure doing business with him.

Fine. Joe answered all questions and was very polite and patient. He responded to my situation quickly. Also, my door is faded and in areas, the paint is worn off to the aluminum under underneath. Joe suggested to have a painter paint it with a latex paint.

I e-mailed Joe at Residential Door through Angie's List that night and he called me back first thing the following morning to arrange stopping by Friday afternoon. He quoted me $120 total to replace the spring. He called in advance to let me know when he was on the way, and showed up on time on Friday around 5:15 P.M. He finished the job in less than 45 minutes. Everything works perfectly now. I would highly recommend him for anyone in need of work on their garage doors. Very professional, punctual, and reasonable. I was happy the spring was replaced in less than 24 hours after it broke.

I called and emailed Joe on the evening of June 2 when I discovered my garage door would not open and my car was inside. He called around 7:45 the next morning and arrived to replace the spring within a half hour. He had previously installed a garage door opener and I was satisfied with his service. This provider will be installing a new garage door for me sometime next month and I have no doubt that I will be receiving quality service.

He did an excellent job. I was very satisfied. I was having problems with my old garage door mechanism. When he came out, there was no pressure to buy on the spot. He was just showing me some features. He took care of an issue, and I hadn't even told him that I was going to use him. I thought he did a little bit extra. I liked his whole demeanor. He was very conscientious. I was well satisfied. He was right here when he said he was going to come. I'm not sure if I got the best price. I was just satisfied with his whole approach. He is a one-man outfit. I highly recommend him.

Joe was very responsive to every phone call I made to him. He promptly made an appointment for a free estimate. He educated me on garage doors and showed how he upgrades the hardware from what is provided from the manufacturer. Joe promptly showed up exactly when he said he would and did a great job. I give him my highest recommendation to anyone who needs to replace their garage door. I did try to contact 2 other highly-rated garage door companies on Angie's List. One responded but did not impress as much as Joe because their quality was not the same and their price was higher. The other company simply did not respond to their online appointment form and the message I left for them.

I came home late on a Friday, opened my garage door and when I went to close it, it wouldn't close. I fiddled with the door and realized it was beyond me so I went right to Angie's List. Residential Door got great ratings and had their hours posted for Saturday so I wrote down the number to call. I called at 8:30 on Saturday morning, Joe called me back within 15 minutes. We worked out a time for him to come to my house - working around plans to take my niece to the zoo - and Joe was here by 10. He quickly fixed the problem, and since he was here he also made some adjustments to keep the door and opener in good shape, as well as some maintenance. I couldn't be happier! Friendly, professional, prompt, fast, knowledgeable service all on a Saturday morning. Thanks, Joe!

After a few hours in the garage, Joe came to the door and told me the new opener was defective and didn't work. He offered to reinstall the old on he had removed. He was able to program remotes for this older unit and didn't charge me additional costs even though he had by then installed 2 openers. From the prompted response to my initial call - to Joe's help in loading the unusable opener into my car; my experience with this provider was very good.

He was able to come over in 30 minutes. He had another service appointment in the area and was able to fit us in before that appointment. He was very prompt, professional and did great work. He quoted $58.00 and ended up spending way more than $58.00 worth of his time. I tried to pay him more but he wouldn?t accept it. He straightened the door and when he found structural work that had caused the problem and even corrected this. He even helped with the front door! I will definitely use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone.

I called Residential and described the problem I was having with the garage door (and the fact that my car was locked in). Joe was able to come the same day and let me know that one of the torsion bars was broken. Though I could replace just one of the bars, he recommended that I replace both given the weight and size of my garage door and to make sure that the door is balanced going up and down. He also made sure the door hinges were well oiled and adjusted how high the door opened. Joe also took the time to answer my many questions in a very straightforward and professional manner. He provided excellent service.

Joe came and told us that we had a good insulated door already and that he could just replace the broken springs and replace the rollers for quieter ones. He also greased the chain and now it runs soooo quietly.

Joe asked me to explain the problem in detail over the phone and actually suggested a few actions that I could take on my part to solve the problem and save me from the expense of a service call. I indicated that I had already tried on my own and wanted a service call. He gave me a quote for the minimum service call charge and scheduled an appointment for the following day. He arrived early, quickly diagnosed the problem, quickly fixed it and also adjusted and re-enforced several other areas where the door opener system was compromised. All of this was done within the basic service charge price quoted on the phone.
