Our spring broke on Friday night And Residential had it repaired by noon on Saturday. Great service Great communication.

He was very pleasant. He did a little more than he had to which I appreciated.

My husband contacted Joe and within a week he installed our new garage door. He was professional, honest, and reasonable. He installed our garage door within 4-5 five hours and even helped me figure out my antique garage door key entry. He informed me how much it would cost to replace other things that were still functioning but old which was helpful. He also gave us a five year warranty. He was knowledgeable and kind. garage door broke about 5 pm on Tuesday night. I tried a few other places and could not find anyone to come out that late. Kept reading reviews on Angies list and liked what I read about Residential Door. I spoke to the owner Joe at about 5:15 pm ,explained my problem and he very happily said yes he can do it tonight. He also gave me an approximate estimate on the phone. Joe was there about 45 minutes later. He had the door fixed in about an hour and 15 minutes. H e also made some adjustments and resealed the door. He also explained and showed me things to help keep the problem from happening again. Even though he did some extra work ,Joe kept to the original estimate which I thought was reasonable to begin with. He also programmed both my cars to open the door with an inside switch. All I can say is I recommend Joe and his company and would use them again anytime.

My garage door remote stopped working. I emailed Joe on Friday asking him if there was anything I could do or check before running off to buy a new remote. He called me back on Saturday and left a detailed message with stuff I could check on the remote itself. It turned out that I did need to buy a new remote but it was nice to know that I had tried everything before having to spend the money.

Owner was quick to respond and was even able to come out the same day (Saturday morning). We have used this company is the past and very happy with the service and cost.

I emailed Joe late Sunday night. I asked for a price on a garage door and gave him a description of what we had and what we needed. He emailed me back the next day (Monday) afternoon. He made a recommendation for a particular Lift Master door opener, and quoted me a price. He told me it could be done as soon as the next day (today), Tuesday. I called him a short time later and he was very informative. He described the two different options and I chose the better one. I arranged for him to come install the opener around 9am. I had no way for anyone to be at the house, so we decided I would leave a check for him in the garage, and he would come install the opener, and take the check when he was done. He has over 100 positive reviews and is a local company, I was comfortable trusting him to be at our home unsupervised. He called when he arrived to let me know he was here. He also told me about a minor modification that had to be made in the rafters of my garage. He never asked for additional money to do extra work. I gave him a location to leave the paperwork and the remote openers, and they were neatly placed in a plastic bag with the date of installation and all necessary owners manuals, etc. I pushed the button on one of the remotes and the door opened perfectly. The opener is nearly silent, which doesn't really matter because its a detached garage, but it is a much nicer unit that I probably would have purchased at a big box store. There were even other features I didn't know i was getting, like a nice little touchpad with outside temperature display. We couldn't be happier with the entire deal from start to finish. The guy replied in a timely manner, delivered exactly what we wanted, was more than competitive with his price (over $75 less than the other estimate we got from another HUGE local door company) and gave us more than our moneys worth. I would highly recommend Joe and his company.

I called Joe because my garage door would only come down part way and then go back up. He first gave me instructions over the phone to check and clean the door sensors. One of the sensors wasn't working and needed to be replaced. Joe came the day I called and fixed it. I've used him on more than one occasion and cannot say enough positive things about the quality and professionalism and price of his services.

After my 20+ year old garage door opener died one day, I called a number of garage door opener contractors that I found on Angie's List. Joe of Residential Door had replaced a spring previously and was the first to respond to my request on the same day and then come to my house to review options and provide a quote. The issue is, because of a beam running perpendicular to my garage door track, nearly all openers wouldn't fit in the space. He recommended the LIftMaster 8500, which mounts next to the garage door. I compared his total installation price with several others in the field, and he was the lowest price-wise. After I accepted the quote, he installed the garage door opener as promised that same week. He stayed to explain the function of the garage door opener for at least 20 minutes. I like the function of the garage door opener, which performs better than the previous model. Unlike my previous model, it is quiet, includes a deadbolt, safety photo sensors, and opens the door completely. The only issue I've noticed is the remote control doesn't work at a far distance: my car must be directly in front of the garage door to use the remote control. I appreciated his professionalism, expertise, and punctuality, and I would definitely recommend him as the go-to garage door professional to family and friends.

It went very well. He even swept the floor and washed the doors when he was done. He was a very nice man. The doors work just fine and I was able to get a five year warranty.

I first talked to Joe over the phone about my garage door being very difficult to open and close, he asked a bunch of questions, and provided several solutions along with estimates. When he arrived, he took a detailed assessment of the garage door condition and went over several options. We decided to replace the garage door springs, cables, and other minor things such as rollers. He helped tighten all bolts on the garage door and grease all the joints. After his work, my garage door opens and closes very smoothly. Joe then helped me install a new garage door opener that I bought online. He was very detailed in installing the garage door opener, making sure to tidy up all the loose wires. He even used his own brackets for the garage door opener, which was a lot more sturdy than the ones that came with the manufacturer. Overall, very impressed with the work performed, very professional, and reasonably priced.

He arrived on time and installed it. He was nice to talk to, efficient, cleaned up after himself. I would recommend him to others. We are glad we picked Residential Door.

Joe returned my call promptly that evening, gave me with a great quote, and provided me with some garage doors ideas that would help my home look nice. Joe called me back the next day and stated he would be able to put my doors in whenever I wanted them. My doors were installed the next week. He was very professional, reattached my old garage door openers, and trimmed everything very nicely. Joe also answered all the silly questions I had, which helped understand what he was doing. He has added great value to my old home

It broke on a Saturday afternoon. We were amazed that we were able to reach them on a Saturday. On top of that, he said he would fit us in on Sunday if we didn't need it fixed first thing in the morning. We were very grateful (both of our cars were trapped inside the garage). He called as he said he would when he was heading our way. He quickly diagnosed the issue. I asked him whether we should be considering replacing the garage door now. He did give me some ballpark numbers, but said the door was really in pretty good shape even though it is builders grade and didn't suggest replacing it in the near term. I really appreciated his honesty and that he didn't try to upsell. He fixed it fairly quickly, replacing the spring and the whole cabling system. He also went out of his way to explain how to properly lubricate the door and what to use. We would use him again in a heartbeat! Great guy.

Joe came within 30 minutes of my call and had our door working within an hour. Even though I only asked to have the springs replaced, Joe also checked the entire assembly and lubricated the door -- it is almost whisper-quiet now! Great job, very satisfied!

We spoke on the phone and he told me right away that I should get both springs replaced, and the difference in cost between one spring and both. I didn't feel pressured at all, and agreed to have both springs replaced. When he arrived he found something else wrong with the door mechanics - an incorrect part - which he was able to fix with a part on his truck, for free. I was pleased with his work and how well he explained everything to me.

I had used Residential Door Service twice. The first time was, I think, in 2010. I was ver satisfied the. I needed this service in 2012 and I call and was told that he could come out the same day and I said "great". The work was completed that day and I have been satisfied and the garage door has been working 100 percent. Very pleased. Will use Residential again and again when necessary.

Called Residential Door and spoke to Joe. I asked for a rough quote and expected to get "can't quote until I see what you have" like I got from several others. Instead Joe asked a few questions then gave me a quote. The price was good so I secheduled service. Joe arrived at the scheduled time and performed the service for the quoted price. It is a true pleasure to have work done by a professional like Joe. He was available at our convenience and his professional opinion on door styles appropriate for our house really influenced our final decision. We called Joe after our garage door started to buckle upon raising and lowering. The door looked just terrible, all misaligned and some of the hinges were obviously broken. We have an oversized opening. Joe appeared within one day after our call and discussed with us the price of repair as opposed to totally replacing our garage door. It is 8 years old. We were quite skeptical that the door was repairable but we trusted Joe. The price comparision was $300 to repair or $1200 + for replacement of the door. Joe performed his magic and the door looks and functions like new! It really looked so mangled the night prior to Joe coming out that we were afraid to park our cars in the gargage because it looked like the door would fall on our vehicles. Joe could have easily sold us a new door but his approach saved us a great deal of money and we are grateful for his expertise and skill. Joe took the time to explain every step of the process and all of the materials used. He does a great job and he enjoys it, too! The door looks great, and I now have an opener that is up to code. Joe answered my requests for an estimate. He was prompt, courteus, and patient. He was confident he could do the job at a reasonable cost, and he was competent all the way. He also gave brief training on how to open doors manually in case of a power outage.
