Mr. Electric of Cleveland

This was done in two stages since the first person assigned to the job only temporarily fixed the problem. When it occurred again not long after the first visit Mr. Electric was contacted again. Another electrician was sent out at no charge and found the basis for the problem and fixed it to our satisfaction.

We called this company after we purchased our most recent house to do many small electrical jobs like hanging new light fixtures and ultimately repairing an electrical smoke alarm system that was malfunctioning. Unfortunately, the original person that came out to our house misinformed us and disconnected 3/4 of our smoke alarm system and sold us a carbon monoxide detector to plug into an outlet next to our furnace and hot water tank. What I have learned to ask now is if the person doing any major type job is actually Licensed in Ohio as an Electrician. What ended up happening in this situation is that after the smoke alarm system was disconnected be hired a drywall company to cover the holes and make ceiling repairs where some of the detectors were located. An actual Ohio Licensed Electrician eventually called us and told us that the person who was out misinformed us and made an appointment with us to come out to try to reconnect the smoke alarm.--------Additional note made 9/13/2015----I called this company out to replace a bathroom fan fixture that I purchased new from Broan. The original technician only installed 1/2 of the fixture so I called to have the other 1/2 installed. The company initially stated that they would as a courtesy send someone out for free, but the technician tried to charge us $400.00! This technician also initially tried passing himself off as a licensed electrician.----I WILL BE MAKING AN INQUIRY WITH THE STATE OF OHIO REGARDING THIS

they replaced all lighting to led and replaced electrical panels did an awesome and professional job.

Mr. Electric was supposed to give an estimate on some electrical work that I needed to have completed. We scheduled the estimate to be performed from 2-4. I was told that they would call prior to coming out. I called at 1:30 to see if they could give me an eta. The receptionist told me that the dispatcher would call me within 30 minutes with an eta. He never called. I waited an hour and called back. They did not know when the technician would be there. This was 2:30. I called again at 3. They didn't know yet. Again, I called around 4 and was told the technician was running late, would I still like to wait or reschedule. I told them that I was already at the job site waiting and would continue to wait. I waited until 6 with no phone call and just left. The job site is over a 30 minute drive from my office. This was beyond unprofessional and I will never call this company again. I'm a realtor and will ensure that none of my clients use this company in the future to save themselves a hassle. Do yourself a favor and don't bother calling this company. They obviously have no consideration for anybody's time. Awful. If I could give them an F minus, I would.

I did look an electrician and I used the one that it’s on the list. I used them in March. They did some wiring. The cost of service was $137. I like the punctuality, the professionalism, the quality of work.

My kitchen light/fan stopped working. This was the second fan I had replaced in the kitchen in the past three years. In addition, occasionally the microwave and range clocks would blink indicating a power failure. So instead of replacing the fan I decided to have an electrician check out the electrical system to see if something else was wrong. They came out the same day I called them and pointed out some problems with my panel in the basement and gave me an estimate for replacement. Because the panel passed inspection when I purchased my house but the inspector had some concerns at the time of the inspection, I decided to go ahead and have the whole electrical panel replaced, plus a new fan installed in the kitchen and an outdoor motion light installed on the house. The electrician came back the next day and did all of the repairs for me. I was very pleased with the result and have had no problems since.

Everything went well. I like the fact that they do work around your schedule, they even can come evenings or Saturdays. The first item is usually the most expensive, add ons are slightly discounted. The first time you use them, you get a coupon through the mail to use on your next service call. They come for free and give a free estimate, depending on their schedule and parts needed they may be able to perform work the day of estimate. Appointments can be set up through their office. The electrician that came out was polite and professional. I’ve used them before and the first service call went better than expected.

Inaddition to solving my original problem I had them install a new breaker box. All went very well and the electrician was very nice and informative.

Brandon came on the 14th and looked over the job and quoted a price, noting he could come back next day and do the work. I did not shop around for this service - felt this was a fair price for the work involved. The outlet was installed in a 2nd floor apartment and had to drop all the way to the circuit breaker box in the basement. Of course in an old house like this nothing lined up but he was very careful and it went very smoothly. Looks great and is positioned perfectly for new media center fireplace. For the outside light fixture he brought two different kinds so I would have options - installation went well and I love my new light! He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions thoroughly. He arrived right on time, and I had rec'd a phone call that he would be there within the hour both days, and he arrived well within the time frame.

We got a quote for the following work- new service entrance cable , new electric meter base and a new breaker panel. Mr Electric quoted us $2700. We had the work done for $1150 by another electrician

He was very accommodating and listened to my requests for positioning of new outlets. He arrived promptly and took his time on the job to do it properly. My only complaint is pricing. This is a franchise business and quotes pricing based on a fee for service book which I presume is established by franchise owner. I think their prices are steep although service is good. Total time for my job approx 5 hours which included trip to hardware store. If their prices were not so high I would hire them again. I think I will return to an electrician I have used in the past with more reasonable pricing (Charles Trivisano on Angie's list as well)

While I was satisfied with the bid, the project did not go forward.

He was good. Very nice and he set up my tv on its swivel mounting. It works well . Ryan was very nice!

John was awesome, very professional and very knowledgable. His work was top notch, it was done on time and passed inspection without any issues.

Great experience...Ryan was polite, professional, & no question he was on top of the situation. Power out in 1/2 of house after cleaner turned on, breaker did not trip, so there was a tricky situation to figure out. He was never at a loss of what to do...and located the problem in a large older house...bad/old wire junction. Got estimate for 100 amp upgrade...& having that done also

It went very well, I was pleased with his work, he had to go to Lowes and buy a piece for the fusebox which saved me a lot of money, instead of buying a whole new box. very nice man.

He did know what he was doing, showed up when he was supposed to, and did what he was supposed to. Their service was good but they were very pricey. The original cost was $803 and after I complained about their price, they gave me back $75 after the job was done. The guy was here only for three hours; that was a lot of money for a three-hour job. I have a hard time getting around; I use a cane and a walker. Normally I would have done the work myself but I cannot climb ladders and so forth. I knew what he did and I went up to another place and priced the parts that he used, I even priced the high end products at that place and I came up with about $175 in material but Mr Electric were charging me just over $800. To me, over $600 for labor is very pricey. I had provided the light fixture and he only installed it.

I called them and asked them if they could come and I got them. He came over and he thought he could repair the electrical box but it was gone. He went to the shop to buy a new one. He did a good job. I read some of the reviews about them and I like them.

He had to get a permit from the city, which costed him $35, yet he charged me $395 for this. After going over this him, he did return $115 of it. Mr. Electric cheats customers, as I felt they overcharged me for the work.

Water entered our 25 year old outdoor receptables which melted wires and blew a fuse. He openly evaluated our outdoor plug uses and recommended the best way to update and correct issues to our pond and lighting. He was relaxed and communicated easily. We felt comfortable with all decisions. I would recommend him to anyone and request his return to our future needs.

I had been experiencing electric power fluctuations in my home. Whenever the furnace or central air would kick on the lights would flicker. I also had a few bad electrical outlets that needed to be replaced. Mr. Electric showed up to my home on time . The technician was very professional and courteous. He wore covers over his shoes to protect my floors. He did a complete diagnostic of my electrical system. He could not find what was causing the problem of my lights flickering. He said it most likely had something to do with an outside power line. He suggested I call the power company and have the lines checked. The power company came out and checked my outside power line and found a bad connection and fixed it. Mr. Electric did find four faulty outlets in the living room and fixed them.

I chose Mr. Electric because of positive feedback on Angies List. I scheduled an appoinment for an estimate with a "live" person which was very refreshing for a change. I received They came on time at the s a call the morning of the appoinment to notify me that the electrician was on his way. Work was performed to complete satisfaction by Ryan who also cleaned up the scraps and vacuumed the dust after he was done. Overall a pleasant experience.

t the areaI purchased two new exhaust fans at a nearby Home Depot. The exhaust fans were to be installed in the master bath and another full bath located on the upper level of my home. I asked Home Depot to install the exhaust fans and they arranged for Mr electric to do the actual install in my home. The electrician arrived on time and I showed him where the two exhaust fans were to be installed. The electrician lald a tarp on the floor to catch any dirt and debris created during the install process. the install went without incident and the electrician removed all dirt and debris from the install. He cleaned the areas and made sure he left the area in the same shape as when he started.

Mr. Electric was great. I like them very much, they were pretty good. He explained to me what needed to be rewired and what was and was not necessary.

The service was excellent. The thing we liked when we called we were able to talk to a live person. They set up right then when a technician would come to our house before making an actual appointment so that they knew exactly what needed to be done. They were respectful and cleaned up after the job was done. I would definitely recommend to anyone else.
