I had Mr. Electric out to my house on June 19 and showed the electrician, Sean, and his apprentice, Jeff, 4 items that I wanted to have looked at and repaired. Those items were: 1) 2 outlet boxes in a shared wall that were not perfectly aligned so had intermittent grounding 2) an outdoor light replaced with another standard outdoor light that I provided 3) some wiring in a switch checked for safety 4) a suspected weak breaker replaced. After showing them all 4 items, Sean repeated them back to me before giving me a verbal estimate of $662, which seemed reasonable for all 4 items. They were not able to complete the items that day and asked to return. I asked if it was okay to have my parents there instead of me when they returned since I work full-time and Sean agreed. I walked my parents through the list so they understood the work to be completed. Sean and Jeff returned on June 24 and spent approximately 30 minutes in my house. Sean and Jeff only completed 2 of the 4 items but I was billed the full $662. When I got home, my dad walked me through the work. They installed the outdoor light to satisfaction and fixed the grounding issue upstairs by running about 6 inches of cable per outlet to another area of the box. They won’t replace the breaker due to the manufacturer no longer being in business and not wanting to use another manufacturer’s breakers, which I understand from a safety perspective. They also did not rewire the switch. According to my dad, all they did was remove the faceplate and verify the ground even though the issue that was expressed to them was weird jumpering inside the box. On the Mr. Electric website, they state that they offer free safety inspections so I should not have been charged for this. My dad also informed me that Sean claimed he knew nothing about the breaker even though I distinctly remember mentioning it and it being on the verbal list when I received my estimate. I never received a formal written estimate to verify that this was a part of it but as a regular customer of their partner business, Mr. Rooter of Cleveland, this was normal procedure to me. My dad also let me know that even though he had offered to turn off the breakers, Sean did all the work without turning any off. This is a safety concern and is against the NFPA Electrical Code (70E, Article 110.3). I did not initially receive an email statement so I called on June 24 at 4:50pm and requested it because I did not understand why I had been charged the full $662 for only partial work. I was informed the email had failed and they would resend it. When I received the bill, there was a charge for Troubleshoot and Minor Repair (which claims a safety inspection is also included) and a second charge for a ceiling bedroom square. I didn’t have them do any ceiling work so I am not certain what this charge is for. The only note is to hang a customer light. I called back at 5:05pm and asked to speak to someone about the bill. I was told that the manager and Sean were not available but that they would be sent a message to call me. I also marked a zero on a survey I received and received a text that I would be contacted. After not receiving any response, I called back on Wednesday, June 26, at 10:27pm due to shift work and left a detailed voicemail and informed them I would be disputing charges. I made sure to leave both my number and my dad’s should I not be available. To date, I still haven’t received any response. My understanding was that my quote was for all 4 items since before receiving it, Sean had repeated them back to me. 2 of the items were not completed and if I had known I would still be charged the full amount regardless, I would have sought out another electrician. They were in my house for 30 minutes and I understand that electricians charge to the nearest hour or per job but $662 for an hour’s work and <$5 of materials seems absolutely ludicrous. I was previously a satisfied customer of the associated Mr.Rooter Plumbing but after this experience, I won’t be using either business.

Mr.Electic and Ryan, as well as the electrician, were all amazing. My electric panel burned out at night. I called them at 10pm and they had a representative at my house the following morning. They're quote was within market rates with a bit of an expected mark-up for urgency. It was definitely reasonably priced, especially since i couldn't find anyone else able to do the job right away. Long story short, the electrician was at my house the very next day after the quote and did an AMAZING job installing a larger panel. They needed to cut the wall to make more space and did it in a way that is practically invisible from the outside. You really cannot go wrong with this provider.

Called for an estimate, was quoted a 3 PM to 5 PM service call window. Arranged my day to accommodate, they never show. A few minutes after 5 PM, I get a call that they were running late. Fine, that happens, this kind of work can run long sometimes. Make a new time for the next day, they offer 8 AM to 10 AM. That's too early for my schedule, so we arrange 9 AM to 11 AM. Next morning I get a phone call at 7:30 AM saying they are running early and the technician will be there at 8:30. OK, I can be flexible. I rearrange things to be there at 8:30. They don't show. Technician arrives at quarter after 9, meaning cancelling my morning meeting was entirely unnecessary after all. I am patient with all of that, scheduling these things is not an exact science. Then the technician tries to immediately upsell me on services I neither need nor want. I decline. Technician then quotes me a price for the work three times what it has any reason to cost. Waster a day and a half on this, only the get quoted a sucker's price. No thanks.

Fabulous Relatively new in town, needed an electrician. Checked Angie's list and four providers popped up. Mr. Electric called me within minutes of my request on angie's list and I got an appointment that day. They were not only prompt but had sent emails with the name and picture of who was going to show up at my door. Brandon, was phenomial. He was honest, and patient and told me what was going to happen each step of the way. We had to wait for the power company to show up and turn it off at the street. He waited without complaint. He got the job done, he did not try to gauge me( although it was already expensive) but he explained to me what the problem was and why it needed to be done. I will recommend this company and Brandon always. I trust them explicitly. Even the manager showed up during this process. I felt well taken care of. Don' t look elsewhere, you are in good hands with Mr. Electric

Called Mr. Electric to replace my simple flush-mount light located in my front hall. I already had bought the replacement from Home Depot. They would not give me any idea of a price over the phone, so I said go ahead and come out then for a free estimate. The price was $198, but since I had a $50 coupon from their web site, the price would be $148. I said no thanks. Said they could do it for $125. I said no thanks. Found a local handyman on Angie's list who quoted $50 over the phone, came out and did a great job.

Thank you for sending Brandon Seiber to me today! He was fantastic. I called Mr. Electric at 12 Noon to replace breakers on an old fuze box and he not only showed up within an hour of my call, but watching him work he flew through it making it look so easy. Afterwards he asked if there was anything else I needed. We inspected my outlets which were so old that wires dangled half-way out of them. He gave me an exceptionally fair price to install new ones. Very knowledgeable he explained everything he was doing as he went. and his work was as good as it was fast. I will be recommending your company and Brandon to all my friends and neighbors. The reason I never updated my outlets was because I was afraid of the cost and your prices were good enough to entice me.

They were really expensive. I had it done for a fraction for what they wanted. For the cost, they were way off from where they should have been. I had someone else do it for somewhere less than $100, because I had all of the materials. The price was the only thing that I judged them on. My interactions with them was okay. It was just strictly labor so there wasn’t that much detail on the estimate.

first they never showed on time after 2 phone calls and they showed up late 45 mint they gave me estimate but no time even they didn't have parts with them and the price was too far for changing the bulb which i had and fuse that they didn't have so i refused their offer they were very courteous and polite they sent me estimate over email as well as they gave me verbally i would estimate no more than hour job for changing bulbs and possible fuse. i had them 7 years ago was happy with them but this time things were totally different

Everything went great. No problems at all. It was an all-day service call as a lot of work had to be done with this project.
Description of Work: We needed our outdated Pacific electrical panel replaced with a complete new system. The new system brought us up to code and was much safer. Service was quick as we lost electrical power to part of our house and the techs were able to come out the next day to replace the amp breakers and install a meter base. The technician (Ryan) was very professional and cleaned up everything following the installation.

They scheduled the work for 12:00--2:00 the next day. Shortly before arrival time, I received a call from an 800 number about the visit, and when I called Mr. Electric, I was told they were far behind with emergency work and did not know when they could come and repair my fan. I hired someone else who did know when he could come work on my fan.

The only issue we had was a miscommunication involving a warranty. It wasn't a big deal and they were able to install it. They came back later to adjust the radius.

The tech was great! We even asked him to do a side job at the last minute for fixing some electrical wiring in our basement and he was happy to help and come back the next day to finish our job plus that. It was awesome!

My son and I smelled a really strong electrical odor. They sent an electrician the same day named Brandon S. He was able to detect the issue as faulty light bulbs in my kitchen ceiling fan. Once removed, the smell went completely away and he did not charge me for the visit. He was very kind, professional, and even gave me a light bulb that he recommended I use. I would recommend this company.

Very badly. While the service member arrived on time an behaved professionally his work was both expensive and bad. He charged more than appropriate for re-wiring three switches including a dimer. His installation of the dimer was poor, involving damage to the plaster and a rather badly angled screw. He installed ivory switches inside a white faceplate. After installing the dimer, he discovered that it did not work and suggested that we pay him an additional $200 to check the ballast in our (incandescent) chandelier, and assured us that there must be a ballast. In fact, there was not a ballast, according to the manufacturer. After telling him not to continue but to call us back that evening (we were out of time) he did not call us back. Subsequently I repaired the light, which (it seems strangely) had ceased to be connected to the power in the ceiling: a logical place to examine for an incandescent light, which does not have a ballast.

There was a minor hiccup during the scheduling process where I thought they scheduled for 1 day and it was the next day in their system. The dispatch team quickly resolved the issue and was able to find a technician to come out on the day I needed them. The technician Ryan was very professional and timely and made quick work of the job. Despite what other reviews say would absolutely work with them again and recommend to friends and family

They did a good job, price was a little on the expensive side, but they did a lot of work and fast as the house was for sale. It took more than one person to do the work. They were very prompt and came right away, They took care of business, I didn't have to fool too much. Haven't had a problem since. They put everything in and it was fine. I would use them again. They came back for the building inspector, got the permit. I feel safe and don't feel like they did a shoddy job. I didn't realize the house wasn't grounded.

Very pleased. He had to dig a new trench and re-route the electrical from a new spot at the house to the detached garage. Line works fine and was well hidden from plain site at the area where it could not be run underground.

Their service was very unprofessional. The window for the appointment was 5:00pm to 7:00pm. No one stopped by and no one called to inform us of the inability to make the appointment. I understand that issues arise but we should have been contacted. We will never recommend or use this company.
