Description of Work: Beginning with Mr.Appliance we were referred to Mr. Electric then back to Mr Appliance and finally back to Mr. Electric who correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem with our ancient(circa 1960) oven. The last two guys from Mr. Electric were Bradley and Dave who worked incredibly well together to fix our old relic. The repair job involved pulling out this wall oven, working on the breaker unit and crawling through the attic. I was so excited to finally have this old oven in working order again!! Nothing but praise for this excellent team.

Description of Work: an electrician came to see just what had to be done. the |next day he arrived at my home and went promptly to work. This job took most of the day (wiring to 2 breaker boxes had to be replaced). He had to climb into a crawl space, |work in the garage and attic to accomplish this job. He |patiently answered my questions. I even got a break on the |price because on my membership with Angie's List.

Description of Work: They presented a very detailed quote for the work I requested but the price was sky-high crazy. Maybe they didn't want the work so they offered an insanely high price. But why make the tech spend so much time writing it up? I found a local electrician through another source who will do the same work for a fraction of the price. And I intend to watch him like a hawk to make sure I do indeed get what I want. I am sure Mr. Electric does excellent, precise work and the tech was very nice, but their quote was 5x higher. Certainly worth getting alternate quotes.

Description of Work: We have used them before in our other house and were very pleased. Sometimes Charlie takes a little time to get back with you but it's not intentional. They came to our new condo and placed pendent lights in kitchen and a ceiling fan on the vaulted ceiling in family room. They did a great job, they were knowledgeable and polite. I would highly recommend them!!!!

Description of Work: They estimated the costs to be 4 times what I paid to another electrician.

Description of Work: Upgrade to house and garage electrical boxes. Brought electrical up to code. There was a problem with the original service, but it was rectified immediately when I called them back.

Description of Work: I contacted Home Depot to give me an estimate for an electrical re-wire. They contract with Mr. Electric so Mr. Electric came to do the estimate. This was a house I was about to buy so I wanted to know how much the work would cost me. Not only did he give me an outrageously high estimate for the work, he told me either to not buy the house or not to step foot in the house until the work was done because the wiring was so bad. This in my opinion was an overstep on his part and almost cost me the purchase of this home, which I love. I don't regret buying this house and I don't regret that I did NOT have Mr. Electric do the work. In the end, the code violations that he was referring to as critically dangerous cost me very little to fix and as it turns out I didn't even need to do a whole house re-wire like he so strongly recommended.

Description of Work: The actual service was good and the technician was great but when he left we looked at our bill vs what we got and had a sickening feeling like we were just taken advantage of. The $700 I mention was even after a discount AND a coupon. This is the kicker... All we had done were 2 new breakers added to the box and 2 GFIs and a regular outlet installed in the basement. Again not complaining about the technician but the prices are outragous.

Description of Work: Jim didn't listen to what we told him about the washer (broken belt). He proceeded to replace the trip switch located in the opening. Dishwasher--he didn't have the part even after talking about it on the phone previously. Attempted to use washer and the engine froze-up because the belt was not replaced. His comment "Oh, well, somethings just need to be replaced." The next day all did he was complain about the fact the dishwasher was a portable and not a built-in. Never explained what was done or why.

Description of Work: My outlets near my bathroom sinks wouldn't work I totally missed that a breaker flipped since it didn't LOOK like it flipped. Mr Electric scheduled service for the next day and was on time and explained my whole breaker box with its GFCI breakers to me without making me feel like a complete idiot. Highest marks for their professionalism, responsiveness, and timeliness. It wasn't a cheap service call, though, and they did have to charge for a whole call (which I totally understand).

Description of Work: I had the same serviceman as last time. He is very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. I think anyone needing electrical work needs to call Mr. Electric.
