Installation was neat and professional. Installers cleaned up thoroughly and explained what they had done. The installer gave me his direct cell phone number to call if any problems arose. There was a small problem with one small section adjacent to a flat roof. The installer was very responsive when called, and made the necessary adjustments.

They got here at 6:30pm. I signed the contract. I was told that if I signed the contract then, I would get a discount. So, of course, we wanted a discount. I checked Angie’s List. They had some D’s and a C. They told me that those grades were from their competitors. I cancelled the contract. You guys actually saved me $1800! If I had gone with them, I know that I would not have felt great about my experience. I didn’t have to wait for the BBB to open on Monday. I wanted to tell you that it’s just awesome that Angie’s List is such a great service because when you have a high pressure situation, you can check the listing and feel better about who you’re hiring. You can cancel if you need to. Don’t be afraid to cancel! People don’t know that they have that right. People put you in a high pressure situation, and they do everything they can to make sure that you cannot cancel. Read the bottom of your contract to know if there is any provision in there. I would have had to pay 25% of $1800 had I not cancelled within those three days.

They did a great job. There was some gutter guard material that blown off. They came back out, and replaced it right away. They were very prompt.

There were two guys who came out to do the work. They were very courteous and explicit in informing us how everything would work and what they would do. They were really communicative on the process and careful. I would recommend them to others.

The staff was very nice and worked efficiently. However about 2 weeks after they left, we did notice some unusual drainage around the front porch. We called them back & within 2 weeks of the call, a supervisor came out & inspected the problem. He said there probably should've been some additional flashing installed than what was put on originally. The regional manager said they could come out & correct it but they'd charge us a few extra hundred dollars. But after some negotiation with them, they did come out & fix everything for free. We did have a written quote so we just asked they hold to that. They did end up being very responsive after we expressed our concern so we're very happy with that. The system is excellent.

The gutters appear to be well-installed and the filtering system seems to work, although we haven't had a heavy enough rain at this time to really give them a workout. The only reason I've downgraded from Excellent to Good on the overall was that there were parts of the experience that just didn't sit well with me. For one thing, I felt the saleman was a little abrasive or pushy. This may not be a fair assessment as I had gotten estimates from others that were very soft-sell and pleasant. And in the end, whose product did I buy? So maybe the more agressive sell technique did its job. On the day of installation, the crew arrived on time, however, they never knocked on the door - I wasn't even aware they were here until I heard footsteps on the roof. That seemed a little odd to me. Additionally, they were a contract crew, not actually employed by LeafFilter (their truck had their own company logo and name on it, with no mention of LeafFilter). That didn't sit well with me at first, but in the end I suppose it doesn't matter so long as the work gets done. I guess it was just unexpected. Had they told me that the install crew would be contractors, I would have had no problem. Finally, once the installation was complete, I noticed that they had not installed a 5th downspout - my existing installation had 4 downspouts and they had duplicated the installation - which the salesperson had said was needed (as was priced into the estimate). I want to stress that the next business day, the same crew came back and installed the 5th downspout as contracted, but it did concern me that there seemed to be a communication gap between sales and operations. So overall, the operation hit a couple of rough spots but overall there are no issues of quality or anything like that.

First of all, these are very expensive, though I really like the concept. They cleaned out the gutters and spouts adequately enough to get the flow going. They did all the work in one day, were professional, and the work didn't interfere with us. I have had no trouble in the couple of years I had the filters. I'm still not sure what the warranty says about ice dams. If an ice dam happens and ruins the product and they don't fix for cheap or free, I will not be using them again; but so far, so good.

09/04/11 Saw Leaf Filter display booth in Commercial Building at Canfield Fair. 09/09/11 I met with the salesman John Gee. We walked around the house and John looked at the gutters. There were two places where tree limbs had hit the house and bent the gutters. John explained that the gutters were good and they could be straightened and they did not need replaced. He said they would clean and adjust the slope on all gutters. I approved $3373 to complete the agreed upon tasks. 09/15/11 Begin installation. I periodically checked on the work because it seemed to me that it was going very quickly for a 3 thousand dollar job. I mentioned to the installers that I had not seen anyone use their levels to check the slope and I was told the water drained so they were okay. I said the spouts were not straight as I had been told they would be. I was told that was as straight as they could get them. I went inside and called John Gee on the cell phone number he had given me. I got voice mail and I ask that he call me as soon as possible. When I did not receive a call back, I called again and left another voice mail explaining my concerns and stating the $3300 was a large amount for a half day’s work and I wasn’t sure I was getting my money’s worth and in addition I was now told the spouting was not good and in fact, leaked. They pointed out black spots on the bottom of the spouting which indicated holes. As the installers were finishing up and since I had still not heard back from John, I called Leaf Filter and spoke with Scott, the installation manager. Scott told me he would call the installers and get back to me. 09/26/11 Eleven days passed and I never heard back from Scott, so I called and asked for Scott. I was told that he was in the field and he would call me tomorrow. 09/27/11 No call from Scott 09/28/11 Scott called. I told him I was not happy because both the salesman and the installers should have seen the spouting was not good and really needed to be replaced. And John should have explained the spouting could not really be straightened but they would only do what they could. I was also disappointed because I paid for a lifetime warrantee which would probably be a couple of years until the spouting had to be replaced. As for replacing the spouting Scott stated this was not his call but that he would have Mike Miller call me and that I would have to work it out with him. 09/29/11 Joseph Roschival called at 10 am. He said he had been in Cincinnati and just got back and was briefed by Scott. His understanding was that I was looking to get the spouting replaced. I told him I didn’t have a remedy in mind but if he could get me a good price, I would surely consider it. He told me he would pass it on and someone would be in touch with me. In summery I would say this: 1) Most of the problems came from the salesman. He was not qualified to judge whether the spouting was good or bad and stated it was good and it wasn’t. He said the dented spouting could be fixed and he should have said they would do what they could. 2) The installers probably should have checked the spouting first and reported back to their company that it would not be a wise investment to install three thousand dollar filters over worthless spouting. 3) The communication could have been much better. When someone says they will call you back, they should do just that. If there is a reason for a delay in getting back to the customer, let the customer know there will be a delay and why. 4) It is a little pricey but I think it is the best product on the market for keeping debris out of the spouting and that’s why I selected it. 5) I think I received a good price on the new spouting. 6) It has now been on for a year and it is an excellent product and a good investment. 7) I am pleased with the final resolution. Very well. Installer was on time and very quick and professional. Explained everything he was doing, and cleaned up afterward.

The were excellent. The initial estimate of time to do the project was about 5 hours but they actually took about 8. They took extra time to make sure the gutters were thoroughly cleaned so it took a little longer. We just bought the house and we don't know if the gutters had ever been cleaned out in the 10 years since the house was built. The two men doing the work really did a very professional job. They cleaned up completely before leaving and so far they gutter protection has worked as promised.

After cleaning, the technician installed Leaf Filters on existing gutters using hidden hanger brackets and sealing the ends of the gutters.The technician were prompt and efficient, and in addition, he cleaned up when finished. I would recommend this company.

Estimate was given by a company employee. He was professional and knowledgable. He demonstrated his product and convinced me that it was the best product on the market. I signed the contract on the spot with three days to change my mind. ( My husband thought I was out of my mind to sign it. I am a slow decision maker usually) The installers showed up on the day promised and finished in one day. It started raining later that night and the gutters worked great. All the leaves and acorns have fallen and my husband has not been on the roof any! The Leaf FIlter system is great! I question if I got the best gutter for my money but really have nothing to base that on. Only time will tell. The filters can be placed on existing gutters and I have already recommended them to a friend.

This job seemed reasonable quality but at too high a price. The high price and some problems with what was represented vs. delivered were the main reason we did not rate them "A". After we responded to an ad in a local publication, sales representative Beau Leahy paid a call to our home. He spent quite a long time explaining the services and guarantee of LeafFilter. The salesman did some calculations based on a high cost per linear foot to get a first price, then proceeded to offer several discount deals. In addition to what could be considered "high-pressure sales tactics", there were several problems with the representation. First, he never showed us the actual sample of the screen they install (and we did not think to ask). Later research suggested the mesh may be weak enough to tear in real use. The sales presentation did not really clearly reveal that failures in this type of system are typically due to blocking of holes in the mesh or excessive water flow--which is not covered by the warranty--rather than clogging of the gutters themselves. Finally, Mr. Leahy assured us that, because the installation was all using ladders high above ground level, the installers would take digital photos and show us on a display device. The workers came promptly the day planned and quickly did the work. In fact, the company called after we signed the contract and asked if we wanted to schedule earlier--an interesting occurrence given we had three days after signing to rescind the contract if we changed our mind. The workers did not bring a camera as promised, so at the end there was no way to inspect the work (without climbing a ladder). Finally, they agreed to take a couple of snapshots on a cell phone. As expected, the LeafFilter system has not shown catastrophic failures. During a heavy rain, water simply gushed over the top in sheets onto the ground, but this is to be expected with these systems. After about 5 weeks, a certificate of guarantee arrived from the Company.

They were very professional and did an even better job that we had expected.

The salesman was prompt and polite. He demonstrated his product well. After he gave us an estimate, a crew forman called to let me know he would be out to inspect the job. This company representative was also prompt and polite. The crew that installed the LeafFilter was careful, thorough, and didn't leave a mess. When I asked about one area behind a gutter where the wood on the house seemed to be rotten, the workers removed the old gutter, replaced the rotten wood and rehung the gutter. This repair was done after they had worked a very long day too. The regional operation manager came to the house the next day to inspect the job. Bottom line: pretty expensive system, but it looks great and each person working for the company was polite and kept me informed.

Everything turned out great. Overall, my gutters are draining a lot better. They were very fast about coming out and getting them installed. There prices were very reasonable and efficient in there work. I would use this company again if needed.

My only concern was that we did it real early. The weather hadn't gotten real good yet. What prompted me to use them was an article that I read that named them best gutter protection for the do it yourselfer. The only problem that we have had was that whenever it rains very hard, with the screening in place, it doesn't carry 100% of the water through the gutters. I have neighbors around me that have the gutter helmets or or guards that go over the top. The nose of the thing has a slot in it so the water can follow right on around and in the gutter. My guess is that they have had some water go over the top too, but I didn't go out during the rain to check. In the article, it indicated that it wasn't top notch on the amount the gutter would carry. No leafs or anything get into the gutter whatsoever. Their price was very good. They showed up and called us ahead of time to tell us when they were going to be here. They had to come back to install a metal piece. When the water comes down the valley of the roof, the water can shoot over the top of the roof. They told us that if we needed them to come back, they would. They called us and told us they couldn't come right when they said they would, but they came the next day or so. They didn't charge me anything. They treated me right all the way around.

Installation went fine. 3 years later the guards are lifting off the gutters and Leaf Filter wants $125.00 to come out and repair. Leaf Filter has a lifetime warrenty and the slaesman never said there would be additional cost for repair if needed. I think the money they want now is robbey and they should repair the filters at no charge. Since the gutter filters leak so does our basement and the main reason we had them install the filters was so the basement would not leak. I would not recommend anyone buying Leaf Filter as they do not stand behind their product.

They were the most expensive gutter guard system out there, but I have the type of trees which creates small debris and I'm not confident that any other system would efficiently prevent the debris from entering the gutter system. I chose them because of the complete cover of the gutter. Added to it, the materials that they used were of high quality and I could see why they were expensive. It was worth paying the extra money. I got a good product for what I paid. Their responsiveness and punctuality is excellent. They are very knowledgeable people both in sales and as far as the installation is concerned. They gave me a lifetime guarantee of the product. I would use them again in the future if need be.

I made several calls to different companies seeking help because the damaged gutter was contributing to water leaking into my finished basement. Only Ron Estepp took the initiative to respond immediately to my need. He did the installation in a light rain but the job was done efficiently and effectively. My old leaf filter system that was installed by MasterShield was a piece of crap that deteriorated in less than 5 years (the "lifetime warranty"was useless because the company went bankrupt). The system installed by Ron appears to be simpler and more effective,

Mark Andrix gave me an estimate of $6387 for gutter guards. With all of the "discounts" and I purchase today the cost dropped to $3000. He was professional and on time. He answered my concerns and pointed out a couple of areas that needed attention now. The product seems to be a good product, but just to expensive for a retirees budget.

They were excellent. The price pretty much knocked my socks off. I gave it a lot of thought because it is expensive, but I really needed something that would work. The materials are very high end; they use surgical-grade steel that completely covers the gutters. The warranty is very good. They will resolve the problem if the gutters clog and they?ll replace a gutter if it isn?t functional. It is a very good looking product and it doesn?t go under your shingles so you don?t have to worry about it voiding any other warranties. He answered every question I had about the product. He started out with a much higher price but I got a deduction from AARP, AAA, and the patio and flower show. My experience with them was just really great and the people that came out were excellent. They put in a full, hard day and they finished it up. I couldn?t have asked for anything more.

They did not show up on the date and time arranged. After a call to the company a new date was selected and they did arrive on the date but not one the time. The installation went quickly and appears to have beeb done well.

Well, if you read my reviews you've seen that I don't mind paying a little more than I should for a quality product. I liked what I'd seen from possibly biased research on Leaf Filter's gutter protection system. Mark, the salesman, gave a good pitch.He didn't slam the other companies, but displayed with samples why Leaf Filter was superior. He gave the the perfunctory way-too-much estimate, then with coupons and discounts,brought it down to a who-can-resist-but-still-too-expensive price. It was the product I wanted and getting near the price I could afford,so we shook on it. He over estimated the abilities of the front line workers. The first one left. An installlation manager investigated and asked if we could reschedule I'm flexible...Joe came out today. He eventually figured out how to do the job and now it's finished. He cleaned up. He was clean, professional,quiet and polite. He was non smoking,non swearing,non boom box listening while on the job. Will the system perform? We'll see. They swear by their warranty. But so far, I have that feeling of "peace of mind" One more fall project out of the way, done by a company that seems to want to project the right image. **update** I read the warranty... Now don't get me wrong; I still suspect that this is a fine product in a field of products that will NEVER be perfect. A perfect gutter guard just doesn't exist. I LIKE the design of this product..BUT! Don't let the existence of this "lifetime warranty" effect your decision. I PROMISE;IF YOU READ THE FINE PRINT: THIS WARRANTY IS USELESS.It won't cover ANY of the problems that are likely to occur. So pretend there is no warranty and if you like the product,are willing to pay a little more and can accept the fact that as with any other product, you may end up replacing it in your "lifetime", then get it. It's my second day and the leaves are blowing over it and it's looking good.
