Tech arrived in the morning. Cleaned, then Secured the gutters to the house with screws instead of spikes. Installed the screening. He removed all debris. A week later in October, we had lots of leaves in the yard and the roof from our tall trees during a storm. No blockage. Only one little leaf was stunk at the edge of the screen. I took pictures after the storm.

We signed the contract on March 08, 2022 and they showed up on March 15, 2022. Apparently, when they ripped out the gutters they ripped out some trims on the house as well so when it rains the water runs between the gutter and the house. It's not working right. I have talked to them five times already but I'm having a hard time getting them to fixed it.

I perceive my elderly parents, my father with early dementia and my terminally ill mother have been ripped off by leaf filter. The company used shifty sales tactics with my parents. Out of the gate, they suggested that my parents would need to pay 10,000 dollars for their product. YES, THEY TRIED TO GET 10,000 DOLLARS FROM MY PARENTS. Fair Market Price for gutter protection is a fraction of this cost. The salesperson made my parents feel that they struck an excellent deal by coming down from that outlandish price to another outlandish price. My mother requires thousands of pharmaceuticals a month and it is a financial struggle. For a company to fleece a vulnerable, elderly couple like this is shameful. As a nurse, I feel I must advocate for elderly consumers, not only my parents but maybe one of yours out there who is considering this product! Or maybe it is you considering the product. To protect your family, a mentally intact, less than vulnerable family member should attend this sales pitch with elderly parents. I was not aware this sales call had been scheduled. My mother was concerned that my father would fall off the roof. Because of my father's poor judgment due to his dementia, he had climbed on the roof to clean gutters. The salesperson preyed upon these fears and inflated the product price and then offer a lower but still another outlandish price, making the couple think they have arrived at a very good deal. Have you seen the commercial of the elderly listening to the Leaf Filter sales pitch? That's right, they are like lambs to the slaughter. I don't want my dad on the roof, but I certainly do not want salespeople using dirty sales tactics reaching into the pockets of my elderly father with dementia or my terminally ill mother. As a nurse, I must advocate for these important people in our lives and society, so that they are not taken advantage of by unethical companies. I have reached out to the company and am yet to receive a call or have them amend this pricing, but I feel they are earning a reputation. On top of this exploitation of the elderly, the service reviews are very poor. I am concerned that more individuals will be taken advantage of. Buyer be very aware. I hope this company will address my concerns and amend the price of the product and can attempt to recover their reputation. Elderly consumers deserve respect, and I am hoping this facility will show this respect. I would be happy to amend my review in exchange for the appropriate price for this product.

The sales rep came out promptly to do an estimate. He was very thorough in explaining their product and its advantages. He gave me an estimate for the work with the special that was running. He then asked me what I thought it was going to be. When I said what I thought it would be he came down within that range. We signed and scheduled the work to be done. The crew that came out to do the work did a great job and left it as if they were never there.

Sales rep was knowledgeable and did a good job with his presentation. When I wouldn't agree to a contract on the spot, he said he needed to call his boss. Rep put the boss on speaker so I could hear him. Boss was very rude, stating that if I wasn't ready to sign today, that they weren't going to "chase my business." Initial quote I was given was reduced twice in an effort to get me to sign. If you can reduce the cost that much, why overprice it so much in the first place!! Very high pressure to sign that day. Not the type of company I want to do business with. Don't waste your time getting a quote from them.

Update: it has now been a month with and no resolution yet from this company. I also got up on the roof to do my own inspections and, surprise surprise - I've got over 20 photos of faulty install work. Things like 2" of silicone caulk to 'seal' the too short gutter caps; improper rise and alignment of gutter on roof edge; dips in roof tiles where the installer pounded too hard; broken siding on roofline edge where new gutters were installed; visible bumps in gutter where screws were to long; gutter overall size is TOO SMALL. WHY would we WANT to DOWNSIZE our bigger gutters to a 5" gutter that DOESN'T even catch the rainwater?! The rain water just POURS straight off the roof directly to the ground!! We just spent 5k [FIVE THOUSAND US$!!] on crap gutters that have immediately failed. Water pours off them from the roof and the salesman Frank does not return my phonecalls. The 'manager' Dustin has called to tell me that there's nothing wrong with them, and that icecicles dragging along my entire roofline is 100% okay!!! Not once did he address the faulty gutters, their total failure, or their shotty work. It is 16°f here and the water has frozen over so now my roof is lines with heavy sheets of ice and icicles, btw the water has poured from the roof onto my brand new hvac heat pump causing it to stop working as the fan blades are now frozen solid under 3" of ice. We are forced to heat our home by 100% electric output, which is gonna cost me 1k on my electric bill. The 'manager' Dustim told me that this is normal, as I have a heat pump. I contacted Comfort Solutions, out of Beavercreek to address this. They stated that NO, i SHOULD NOT be running emergency heat on our fancy new unit. Instead, we should go to single stage heating in lieu of our normal variable stage when weather is colder than 20°F. LEAFFILTER NEEDS TO STAY IN THEIR LANE. DO NOT USE THEM!!! Our next step is to report to the Attorney General if this doesn not get resolved in a timely manner.

Installation was OK but servicing by Leaf Filter has been HORRENDOUS. I am a good one to try & save money but with their current service model I would mot use them again if their quote was half if another company. I have collected over 25 gutter screws in my driveway, my tires, a friend's tire & the yard below the gutters. Clearly no sweep was done as part of a standard cleanup process. All I have asked is for them to reimburse me for 3 tire repairs & the cost of a new tire - just over $230. After spending $5k witj them, 22 phone calls to the local oiffice in Indianapolis, my sales rep. as well as John, the Operations Mgr & receipts documenting my cost I have YET to hear a word from them. I just called Oct 23rd to followup on the last call of Sept 8th. Gutters installed JULY 1. i will hire an attorney & they can pay $231 or $2,310 for an attorney. Disgusting!!!

The work was supposed to be done on Saturday 10/31 but when the guys showed up they just had the leaf filters, not the gutters and downspout that was supposed be installed prior. They just put the leaf filters on the rest of the house and we were told that someone would be out the following Monday to complete the job. Monday morning we received a call saying that the person that was supposed to finish the job want able to make it but Michael said that he had been given the job and he would be there but later than expected. No Michael. We called the number that he left us and also called our salesman, Paul Panty. Neither returned our call. My husband called the customer service number in our paperwork. They said that someone would call but they didn't so my husband had to call again the next day. He was told then that someone would be out today to finish the job. Guess what, no show and no call!! We were also told by Paul that we wouldn't be charged until the work was complete and we signed off on it. Wrong again, we have been charged.

A salesman came out on September 2, 2020, and looked at the job, then gave us a quote. We agreed on the price after a little haggling and he scheduled the work for the next day. We asked the salesman for a card but, amazingly enough he said the sales force weren't given cards to distribute!! The new garage is about 8 feet from the garage attached to our house. Between the two garages is our dog kennel. The salesman assured us that the installers could use walk boards to install the gutter guard on that side. The installer arrived the next day, 2-1/2 hrs. early. Luckily, we were here. He looked at the job, said he could not do it because nobody told him he needed to have the walk boards and hadn't brought them. He left and we waited for a call to reschedule. We never heard from them again! We DID NOT call them. We felt that any company worth doing business with would have called us to reschedule. It is now October 2, and still no call. That is fine though because they are the last company we would use to do the work!
Description of Work: We needed to have the gutters cleaned and gutter guard added to two deck roofs and a new garage, all of which we added in the last few years.

the installation went OK but took much longer than was told and started much earlier than informed. What the well-versed salesperson does not tell you is if you have trees on or near your property that it will cover up the gutters altogether and clog in corners where they install 'guards' and ultimately make it worse than if you had none at all. I was also told by the salesperson that if there ever was an issue with the gutter protectors needing cleaned off that Leaffilter would come out free of charge and do it. NOPE - they want to charge to do something I was told would not be needed. Now on top of the $9000 that I got ripped off having these installed I am about to pay someone to remove this mistake before it does too much more damage to my home and foundation. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!

A salesman came to our home, made a presentation and measured our house to figure out the gutter footage for estimating purposes. He quoted a price, discounted it heavily and we thanked him and declined. The price was 3 times what we expected. I told him that we wouldn't have wasted his time if the office had given us a ballpark price before sending him out. The next morning he called and told us that his manager had authorized a new (lower) price that we found acceptable. He emailed a contract with the cost on it, signed by Leaf Filter, scheduled for the next day. We signed it and emailed it back. The next day, Friday afternoon, an installer came, walked around the house and told us that he didn't have a big enough ladder with him to do the job. It was just starting to rain and the office closed at 3:00. He said someone would call to reschedule. After several days, we called to find out if we had been rescheduled. The call center said they would send an email to our local office and they would contact us. Allow 24-48 hours. After 2 days and no call, we called them back. We got a different person who said the same thing. This happened 5 times. Each person at the call center became progressively more sympathetic to our plight but no one called. We were told a regional manager was copied on the email so that he could ensure someone would respond. Finally, today, 2 1/2 weeks later, Dustin McCracken, a manager, called and said they had canceled our contract. If we hadn't called every other day for two weeks, no one would have ever told us that. He claimed they could not install them at our house because it is too high. We have a transitional house: 2 stories in the front and a one story in the back. We had it painted 3 years ago and nobody complained about the height. We had a new roof put on last year and no one complained about the height. We have never had an experience like this with a service provider before.

The product looks great but an elbow separated after a few months. I left voicemail, email, and not a peep from anyone for weeks. Someone called to apologized for misplacing my workorder and that he would do the repairs that weekend but no one showed up. I left a a comment on their Facebook page on July 28th and received a quick acknowledgement but still no call or email to set up an appointment. Their lifetime transferable warranty might take that long to benefit from. The installation was great and the crew was quick and cleaned up after themselves.

We had LeafFilter installed on our home in the Seattle area. After 4 months the filter became clogged with a fine green moss. When I contacted LeafFilter about the issue, their solution was to send me a brush to clean the screen. After three years I was spending more time cleaning the filter than I would cleaning the cutters and I cut the filter off. I would be careful installing this product in a moist environment like the Puget Sound area.

They installed leaf filter gutter guard two years ago. The corner of my roof , water pulling over. They had been out here three time. Instead of fixing the problem. They installed 18 in on both side. The water is still breeches the solution. Last week I had a service rep for the third time. Instead of fixing it, he gave me a hand full of parts and wanted me to fix it. I can't do this myself, because of my shoulder. I told him that and he did not listen and left. I know when I been taken and I had been taken. In the winter it is worst. Freezing rain before the snow. It's like a saran wrap. I would not recommend them. Steven Pettinga

The leaves and debris accumulate on top of the mesh they installed so now the water runs off the side of the gutter. When I called they said it would cost $95 for someone to come out and clean the debris off the mesh. What a huge waste of money.

After a few voluntary price reductions by the company representatives, we decided to have the product installed. This is not a review of the product, as it is too new to evaluate on our home. This rating reflects the installation. The crew was scheduled to install product on a Friday and did begin around mid morning. They started to leave with several hours of daylight left, stating their tools' batteries were dead, and said they would return to finish the job about noon the next day, Saturday. After not hearing from or seeing anyone by 4 PM Saturday, I contacted a manager who replied they were "20 minutes out". Further communication with the manager led to a promise the crew would finish the job on Sunday, which happened. We were told the company had a "Super Service Award" from Angies List. I don't consider our job "Super Service".

On April 22, 2020 two representatives paid a sales call to the home of my father in Sandusky, Ohio. My father is 91 years old and during their time in his home neither of the representatives wore a face mask/covering for COVID-19. My father was offered a face mask/covering by the representatives but this would have only offered protection to the representatives not my father according to the CDC. They remained in my father's home for over an hour making their high pressure sales pitch! I understand that construction related businesses are allowed by the State of Ohio to remain open for business, but the lack of adequate company leadership and oversight of the representatives when making in-person sales calls during our COVID-19 crisis was unacceptable. Additionally, I realize all businesses are taking a financial beating right now but trying to sell an elderly person gutter guards for $4,500, even with a transferable warranty, is pretty disturbing, especially since he already has a gutter protection system. Fortunately, we had my father cancel the contract the next day.
