Description of Work: Removed Federal Pacific 100 amp FPE panel and replaced it with a new 100 amp. 30 space Siemen's main breaker panel and reconnected all wiring. Removed and replaced the old 100 amp. meter socket with a new one. Upgraded grounding system. Procured appropriate permit.

Description of Work: Jason arrived about 30 minutes late. He said the reason was that Angie's list did not give him our phone number. I found this interesting because I thought it was part of the original request I filled out. Once here, he was professional and efficient. He completed his walk through in about 40 minutes and 2 days later, we had his report. I would definitely use this company in the future should we need it.

Description of Work: Installed at least 14 GFIC outlets throughout the house. Installed outdoor quad outlet. Installed several light fixtures. Installed new circuit control panel. Had to crawl into the crawlspace under the house. They were very responsive and open to my changes and requests during the job. And they were clear on pricing at the estimate where other companies weren't. But they could use some professional polish and the lead technician could have checked the helper's work better before discovering things didn't work right. I would hire them again however and suggest better oversight by the lead technician and a follow up inspection by the owner, Jason.

+ -1 moreThis tech arrived, rang the doorbell one time and introduced himself while addressing me by name. He waited until invited into the home and removed his shoes without prompting due to the wet weather. He listened to my description of the problem and allowed me to direct him to the source of the problem. He informed me of what he had diagnosed and would do to correct the stated issue. He performed his work in a prompt manner. The tech presented me with a invoice of his work , and then surprised me with a discount due to smaller severity of the issue. This discount was 30%!!!!!!!!! The tech tested the results of his work prior to leaving. For future issues we will be contacting this company.
Description of Work: The tech performed an evaluation of the problem presented to him. The tech proceeded to check the performance of electricity. The tech informed me of his diagnosis and performed the necessary repairs.

+ 0 moreEverything went great. Jason was great to work with. Always timely and kept in contact. Jason knew I was looking to try and get the work done on the house before the end of the month and he made arrangements to make the project move along faster to accommodate. The work they did looks great. I no longer have dangerous wiring in my basement. Everything is neat and professional looking. Even the city inspector made a comment on how nice of a job it was. They did a complete rewiring and only had to make 1 small hole in the wall in 1 room. They were able to do the second floor wiring from the attic. They had to pull up floor boards in the attic but I cant even tell, they did a great job putting it back together. I am very pleased with the overall job. From the neat wiring in the basement to the outlet faceplate colors to the new light fixture on the porch, everything is great. I would use J.A.C. Electric again and recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I bought a house built in 1913 that still had a bunch of old knob and tube wiring and the wiring in the basement was a mess with bad splices and violations. I wanted a complete rewiring of the house. I wanted all the knob a tube removed and everything updated. I also wanted more outlets added throughout the house. J.A.C. Electric replaced all of my old outlets in the house and added new ones. They also added interconnected smoke detectors throughout the house. A new 220v line was installed for the dryer, with a 4 prong plug and Jason even wired up my dryer for me and plugged it in. A new 110v line was ran for my washing machine with a GFI outlet. My doorbell was also replaced and rewired. All code violations were removed/fixed. Previous basement lighting was wired in horribly, so it was completely taken out and they installed 4 new lights throughout my basement. Old light switches were replaced as was the wiring for switches and lights. A GFI outlet was added outside on my front porch. A new front porch light fixture installed. I also had a whole house surge suppressor installed.

He was on time for the appointment, courteous, listened to my concerns, and then went to work. Once the repairs were made he put everything back the way he found it. He also answered my questions and provided an estimate for future work I may have. Thanks for a job well done Jason!
Description of Work: I had a partial loss of power in the basement. Jason started to trouble shoot the problem and found a loose and scorched wire in a junction box that was the reason. Very unsafe! Jason made the repairs all in about a half hour.
