Arrived on time. Spread tarp to keep my home clean. Inspected and cleaned the chimney. Made suggestions for altering the gas line to convert it to a fire starter. Very pleasant experience.

Tim was on time for scheduled appointment and answered my numerous questions. He was able to complete this service work very efficiently.

Tim arrived 30 minutes late, did not call to indicate he was going to be late and didn't apologize for being late. Diagnosed the problem as being a pilot light that needed to be cleaned prior to even turning on the fireplace. Didn't bring a drop cloth -- I provided one. Vacuumed the pilot light and surrounding area, turned on the fireplace and it worked properly. Recommended annual servicing such as this (which is something we could actually do). Spent a total of 15 minutes working on this and paid $95 plus tax.

Price was what was quoted. did good work, cleaned up after himself.

We chose Mr. Burkitt from Angie's List after reading some of his reviews. I called and told to him my fireplace problems and what I thought the solution was. He gave me the inspection price for just coming out and it was acceptable. Mr. Burrkitt showed up on time and got right to the job. He informed us that what we thought was the problem was incorrect. He then went on to educate us on what the problem was and it was much less then we had expected. We then asked him some other questions about a service he does not provide and he helped us to make better decitions with his knowledge of fireplaces. WE ARE VERY PLEASED!!!!!

He did a good job. He cleaned all the mess after the work. I would rate him high overall and would use him again in the future.

Mr. Burkitt performed all services himself. Showed up promptly at the appointment time and provided professional service. tested gas logs and gas grill, made adjustments to the fireplace logs and examined to chimney and flue. He relocated the gas line to where it was needed in a neat and safe manner. He examined the grill and made recommendations on the options for proceeding. Possible scenarios included replacing the grill with a new one of similar nature, replacing with a grill fueled by propane tank, or repairing the existing grill with the fore knowledge that the stand pipe was deteriorating and might not last more than a year or two. We chose to repair due to the relative expense of the other two options. Since the grill was an older model he did not have repair parts on board his truck and had to order them. He will return to install them when they arrive. His advice was valuable and reasonable. I would recommend him and use him again if the opportunity arises.

Cleaned gas logs and replaced receiver mechanism and remote control for the gas logs. Only complaint is that he didn't have a drop cloth, we had to provide one. He was fairly clean so no big deal, had to wash a sheet I gave him to use. Have always seen other companies that work on fireplaces carry their own drop cloths and cleaning equipment etc. Very pleasant gentleman and was pleased he had the part we needed with him. Will recommend him to friends and neighbors.

Perfectly! Mr. Burkitt is very experienced and a professional - a gentleman! He put together the fireplace for us (it was still in the box, unopened), installed the logs and showed us how to operate it. Had to wait two weeks for an appt. for the work to be carried out, but it was worth the wait. It was immediately evident that the job was in very capable hands and that it would be done correctly (Mr. Burkitt has been doing this type of work for 21 years). We may purchase a gas stove in the future. If we do, we will be giving Mr. Burkitt this work as well! No need to look for anyone else! Tim provided excellent service. He cleaned and inspected my gas fireplace in less than 30 minutes. He thoroughly explained how to shut off and start up my fireplace in a professional manner. I would definitely use his services again.

Arrived on time. Took care with the installation along with the included remote. Explained the details and now the gas logs are an excellent source of heat and beauty.

He came on the day that he said he would. He is very familiar with fireplaces and the logs. He’s well versed in the products and how it all exists together. He was very respectful of our home and took his shoes off. He gave us his professional opinion on the actual pipe itself. If work didn’t need to be done he didn’t do it. He said how our fireplace was set up didn’t need any additional work, he was very honest.

I purchased vent free gas logs and he installed them in a fireplace that was wood burning with a gas starter. The appointment time wait was short, The work was prompt, clean and efficient.

I was referred to Tim by Jerry Lamm at All-Ohio Masonry. I left a phone message and Tim called me back that night. We scheduled an appointment for 12:30 on 11/23. He telephone at 12:45 to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived a little after 1 pm and went straight to work. The job took just over two hours. He removed his shoes each time he came in to the house. The only negative was that when Tim drilled a hole into the side of the chimney, the masonry bit caused a chuck of brick to break loose inside the fireplace. Tim used a epoxy to fill the gap surrounding the gas line and filled in the spot on the brick which busted loose. It was a gray epoxy which looks odd with the red brick, but I was able to retrieve the piece that busted loose and, after a little coaxing, got it to fit in so that it is much less noticeable. I know, this is totally stupid to mention, but I'm like that.

After my initial call, Tim returned my call the next day. He quoted me an estimate over the phone and we scheduled the work for Saturday. After the call, I had some questions that I was unsure about and I called him back the day before the work was to be completed. Tim answered all of my questions happily and completely. Upon arrival, Tim was friendly, professional, honest and efficient in his work. He answered all of our questions and due to the job finishing quicker than anticipated, he charged us less than the estimate. We would definitely call him again. He is someone you can trust.

Tim did a great job. We have used him before for a grill outside and he is excellent.

Tim was punctual, and obviously very knowledgeable. He installed a new gas line in the basement and ran it to the fireplace, then installed the gas logs we had bought elsewhere. He explained the operation and cleaned up. The whole process took about 3 hours.

Tim came out and gave us a quote - with the hurricane he called to reschedule and was right out on time. Great work.

Tim arrived on time. He performed his work efficiently and with quality. He consulted with me when appropriate and knew exactly what he was doing. He checked for leaks before departing. The grill works great!

I felt he was very reliable. He definitely seemed to know what he was doing.

The job was difficult because of where the conduit was placed; one end was underneath a direct vent fireplace and because it is difficult to put a semi-rigid pipe through a conduit that has two elbows. However, Tim persevered throughout the entire job and did not give up even though he had to return two times. He did a wonderful job and had a great attitude.

Tim returned my calls promptly and scheduled an appointment for only a few days later. He called before arriving, which was especially helpful. He did exactly what we asked, which was to evaluate the grill and do preventative maintenance. We ended up only replacing the cooking grids and know that we can rely on our grill working for us all year long.

Tim promptly returned my call and came out a day later. We were going to build a deck and Tim suggested we wait to move the grill until the deck was completed. He spent quite a bit of time assessing the situation, inspecting the gas line, etc. When I asked Tim how much we owed him, he told me we owe him nothing until we decided to go ahead with the work. I called Tim when the deck was complete and he came out within two days. He did an excellent job, was very nice, and very professional. We had a different company install the original grill about 4 years ago; and our experience with Tim was like night and day compared to the other company. The price was half of what the other company charged us four years ago to install. We would HIGHLY recommend the Tim Burkitt Company for any gas specialty work.

Everything went very well. Mr. Burkitt showed up as promised, right on time. Gave us an estimate and let us select the gas grill that best met our needs. He removed two old grills and set us up so the gas line from one of the grills could be reused for a generator. He did an excellent job!
