It went fine. We were able to schedule within 3-4 days, he showed up right on time, and fixed the fireplace within a few hours. He had the replacement parts we needed in his truck, which was convenient. He kept the work area protected and clean. He was not very talkative, but I wasn't looking for a conversation. He was very nice and professional.

He is a very nice guy. He is very good. He is very neat and one of my lines run out and he took the time to run it correctly and had it pretty well hidden.

Tim was GREAT! Cost was completely in line with what we had discussed and Tim was very professional and accommodating. We had Tim install the new fireplace In Jan 2014. I recently had an issue with the pilot light staying lit (Jan 2017). I called Tim to have him come out an take a look. To my pleasant surprise Tim was able to diagnose the issue over the phone and give me the steps to correct the problem. Not cost for service and no hassle. I highly recommend Tim and will be having him out for any and all our future fireplace needs.

Tim did exactly what was needed to get my fireplace working. I thought it would need a repair, not only needed cleaning. Highly recommended.

Excellent service. I called 3 companies on Friday 12/31 and Tim was the only one that called me back the same day. He scheduled for 2:30pm on Monday 1/2/17 and told me it would be $100 service charge; and he came right on time. He was polite, took off his shoes, put down plastic in front of the fireplace to not get dirt everywhere and lit the pilot light. The thermocouple is 13 years old so I asked him to replace it for the $29 he quoted, and he almost forgot to charge me for it. He added more of the fake "glowing embers" to the fireplace and rearranged it so it would work better and not burn the back wall as much as it had been. I would definitely recommend Tim and would call him back again.

Tim repaired wire and changed batteries that were corroded. He also vacuum entire hearth and logs and made sure everything was ready to go. He telephoned to let me know he would be a little late due to another job. I have been using the services of Tim Burkitt since 2010.

Outstanding - Tim was courteous, removed his shoes before coming into the house and kept me informed as he was making repairs. The gas ignite mechanism wasn't working, he replaced it, cleaned up and they system is working perfectly. I liked that he showed me how the system worked and give me some tips on how to maintain it long-term. Great service.

Tim responded to phone call promptly and came the next day. Explained clearly what was needed Needed a couple of parts which he had. Explained what needed to be done and assessed how long the repair might last. Gave some tips on how to take clear of the grill.

I left Tim a message and when he called me back and I described my fireplace, he said he might not be able to convert it to gas logs. I sent him photos and based on those he said he could do it. He ordered a log set that would fit, then came out and installed it. It's just what I wanted. He's competent and professional. I would definitely use him again, and my daughter's family now wants him to install logs for them.

Tim was great. He was on time and very professional. Our pilot would no longer stay lit on our gas fireplace. I had called another company for a quote and they wanted to completely redo the fireplace and charge $1,800 - $2,200. It sounded bogus and so I wanted a second opinion and I called Tim and I am glad I did. I called him in the morning and he returned my call around 8pm that night since he's in the field all day. He was able to schedule me the same week and when he arrived he was able to tell me what was wrong and that he could fix it. He had to replace a few items and the cost was a little less than $275. I am very happy with his services and I will definitely use him again in the future.

I set an appointment to check two fireplaces with two different issues. Fireplace 1 is a ventless unit about two years old that won't light. Tim was forthright that he was not familiar with the unit once he got a chance to take a look at it, but he did a few checks that he could perform and suggested another local company that might be able to help. Although the unit was not fixed by Tim, he pointed me in the right direction to get the unit repaired. Fireplace2 is a unit with a manual switch in the fireplace that I wanted to have switched on the wall. Tim inspected the unit and indicated that the unit is designed to use a remote (I am the second owner of the home and the previous owner apparently did not leave the remote for the fireplace). Tim provided the manufacturer name so that I can order a replacement remote. So why do I give Tim such a high rating even though fireplace 1 was not fixed by him and fireplace 2 was not switched by him during his visit? Because Tim provided me with valuable information and was up front about his ability to fix fireplace 1, even going so far as to recommend a competitor for the repair - and all of this while refusing to charge his visit fee. If a person has such a high degree of integrity that they are willing to drive to your house (incurring expense in time and effort) and not charge for the visit if they are not the right resource for you, they are DEFINITELY worth hiring for work within their scope of business.

Just bought my house and was unable to start the fireplace. Called Tim he stated the gas logs probably just needed to be cleaned. Tim was running late but called to let me know when he would arrive. He just had to clean the gas logs and now fireplace is working fine. Would definitely use him again. Thanks

Mr. Burkitt arrived promptly as stated. He immediately started working on the fireplace and determined the problem efficiently. The thermocouple was solidly adhered after 18 years of use and required a great deal of work to get the part removed. He worked diligently to remove the part, having to go back to the van twice to get drills and extra parts. He explained to me what the was doing so I understood the work and complexity. I appreciated the explanation provided. He was very professional and worked throughout the time he was here. He took about 90 minutes to complete the job and again I will note he was very efficient as the job was not an easy one. My boyfriend had attempted the job himself and gave up after being unable to fix it. I would like to note that I had called another provider listed on Angies list who stated that I would likely need a whole new fireplace unit that would cost me between $5000 and $6000. Naturally I wanted a second opinion. I called Mr. Burkitt who stated over the phone he would look at my fireplace and was pretty assured he could fix the unit. He did and was able to fix the unit for $200. What a big difference between providers! I would highly recommend Mr. Burkitt if you have any problems with your gas firelplace. Have him take a look before you consider purchasing a new unit. He is honest, reliable, and efficient. Job well done.

He quickly figured out that the switch was broken and replaced it with a part he had with him. He rearranged the logs a bit to make for a better fire. The service call was $100, and with the part and taxes it was around $130. He wasn't there long but he explained his cost for a service call before he arrived. He was very quickly and professionally able to fix the problem.

He did a great job and even offered to set up the artificial log set beyond just the gas connections that I needed. The price was very reasonable and I was very happy with everything.

Service was great. He could have easily sold me new system for one of the fireplaces, but instead told me what to keep an eye on and recommended for future.

Mr.Burkitt repaired the problem, cleaned the fireplace and went the "extra step" of adding ember rocks to fill in around the logs which really enhance the overall look. We are very pleased with his work and would use him again in the future.
