+ 0 moreI bought an and quot;Angie's Big Dealand quot; coupon for interior and exterior window cleaning. When I called the vendor, I was given an appointment in the time frame I requested. Two guys showed up on time and proceeded to do a terrific job of cleaning all my windows, screens and sills. They were fast, efficient and friendly. My windows sparkled. They did such a good job that I had them clean my gutters on the spot for $80. Excellent vendor.

+ 0 moreOverall I would say not good. They did not power wash the vinyl siding on the front porch, which I consider part of the house and should have been done. They did not power wash any of the sidewalks. I had paid for power washing all of the siding all sidewalks and the patio. They advertise that they clean the entire window every time tracks, sashes, sills, frames, and screens. They washed the screens, except the garage screens which they dusted off with a rag and did not do basement windows or screens. I had to remind him of the discount or I would not have got that. Other then the screen and the windows themselves nothing else was cleaned on the windows. Now I have to clean all of the window sills etc myself and clean the vinyl on the front porch. I will not have them come again.
Description of Work: K Brite done a good job on power washing the house except after they left I noticed they did not power wash the vinyl on the front porch. They power washed the patio, but did not power wash any of the sidewalks. I paid for power washing the house the patio and all sidewalks. Now I will have to do the vinyl on the porch and all of the sidewalks myself. On their web site they say they clean the entire window every time-tracks, sashes,sills,frames and screens too. All at no extra cost. On my windows first of all they did not do the basement windows. When he got ready to leave I said you did do the inside and screen on the two garage windows. They were not very clean and when they went back again they still were not that great. He told one of the men to take a rag and wipe off the screens I do not even know if the rag was wet. They did not clean the frames etc. on my windows. They did do the screens. The frames were not done and the sills had dirt ,bugs etc in each window , so I will have to clean them to. There were some small spots on the windows. When he gave me the amount he had quoted me I asked did you give me the 10% discount. He said I thought I did and I said no you did not. I do not think he would have given it to me if I had not said something. I had told him I would probably call him to do the windows in the fall, but I will not be doing that. I said I would have him back, but that was when I thought the windows looked good until I found he did not do frames etc. and all of that dirt was still there. I should have went out and checked the vinyl and sidewalks before he left but I thought it was all done. I think there was a little dishonesty in this job. Not doing everything he was supposed to do and acting like he forgot the discount. Definitely will not have him back again. Diane Douglass

They arrived early, and even though it took nearly twice as long for them to complete the job than what they had estimated (this job was at my elderly mother's home, and the windows hadn't been washed in quite a long time), they refused to take any additional money for the job. Very professional and courteous.

+ -1 moreCalled the company and spoke with Mike on Friday 6/15/2012 asking for an estimate for window cleaning, cuter cleaning, and power washing sidewalk. Very pleasant individual that indicated he would be out on Saturday 6/16/2012 to provide an estimate. No one from K-Brite showed up to give an estimate nor did anyone call to tell me why someone had not showed up to do the estimate. It is now Thursday 6/21 with no estimate and no call. Not very punctual and not very responsive, can only assume the company just does not need my business.
Description of Work: No service provided, called for an estimate, was told someone would come to the house to provide the estimate, no one ever showed up to provide the estimate.

+ -1 moreOne of the three men cleaning our windows stole our laptop and power cord. This experience pretty much overshadows any thoughts on the and quot;qualityand quot; of work they performed. They were at the house for about four hours, and for one hour during this time I had to leave them alone in the house to take my sick child to the doctor. When we returned and I started putting things back in place, I realized the laptop was missing. Being alone in the house with my young child and three men, one of whom I suspected of stealing the laptop, was a scary and stressful experience. I called the police, and while I was waiting for them to arrive, all three men left the premises. The police came and took a report, and later that evening retrieved the laptop but not the powercord. The case is still under investigation. One of the men had a prior record, unbeknownst to the owner of K-Brite, who did not do background checks. The owner said he would replace the power cord, but one month later still has not done so. We were not charged for the work performed.

Mike came to our house and gave us an estimate. The price was very reasonable so we said OK. We made an appointment and all was done to our satisfaction. End of story.

Description of Work: They arrived when they said they would. They were 2 men wearing "K-Brite" T shirts. Names I believe were MIke and Mo. They were both very pleasant and conversational. I wanted my 6 skylights to be cleaned. One went up on the roof and cleaned up there while the other used a ladder inside to wash the insides of each window. I talked with 3 other companies who wanted $90 to do this work. When K-Brite quoted me $65, and they had a good report on Angie's list, I hired them. They even gave me the Angie's List 10% discount without my having to go find the copy I had made of it. I was very pleased with the whole process. Margaret Sproul

+ -1 moreThis company got back to me right away after I emailed them about getting my gutters cleaned. They then quickly came out and looked at them and emailed me back an estimate. Within a day or two of me giving them the and quot;go-aheadand quot; they were out doing the job. I happened to be home for awhile this morning so I got to see them at work. They were very thorough and cleaned all of the gutters and flushed all of the downspouts which were clogged on one side. They were efficient and neat, and Mike was very personable. I will use them again.

I made an appointment for Monday, June 13, 2011 for 2:00 p.m. and my wife waited for the company to arrive, and not until late afternoon did we receive a phone call advising us that they wouldn't have time to clean our gutters that day. The work was rescheduled to Wednesday, June 15th. At 7:00 p.m. on that date, we received a phone call from the company stating that they were in Johnstown and wouldn't have time to clean our gutters that day. The work was again rescheduled to Thursday, June 16, with a promise that the gutter cleaning would commence before noon. We did not see or hear from the company until the morning of Friday, June 17th when Mike called to tell me they would get to my gutters at 3:30 in the afternoon. In the meantime, Mike read my preliminary review of the company on Angie's list and cancelled for the 4th time, advising me to take my business elsewhere. I'm really surprised at this company's unreliability and lack of professionalism.

+ 0 moreWe originally hired K-Brite to do gutter cleaning, which they did quickly and at a reasonable price. While at our house, one of the guys mentioned that they do deck cleaning and gave me a quote. A few days later, we received a follow up call to find out whether we wanted to schedule the deck cleaning. We scheduled it, and no one showed up for the Tuesday appointment. I called Wednesday evening and left a message, and no one called back. I finally called back again on Saturday morning and left a message indicating that we would be hiring someone else to do the job. I was very surprised and disappointed, as everyone seemed very professional, and they were the ones who offered to do the deck cleaning.
Description of Work: Guttler cleaning. They were also hired to perform deck cleaning and never showed up.

He showed up the day he promised and was done in less than 3 hours.My light yellow siding had something green all over it, and it is now beautiful. No plants or shrubs were harmed. The gutters and downspouts are clean and repaired. Reasonable price for a big improvement in appearance.

+ 0 moreI live in a Victorian era home so the windows are tall and need some wrestling with. I also have a couple of old stained glass windows I was concerned about getting hurt. The men went about the work efficiently and carefully from start to finish even though the house was kind of a mess with housecleaning going on at the same time. I really appreciated their professionalism, friendliness, but non-chattiness as I had to be in the house part of the time they were there and am really busy right now. We or they moved furniture away from the windows and everything was put back more neatly than it had been before it was moved. This was my first time using K-Brite. The company I used to use seems to have disappeared. I am enjoying these glowing windows a lot and will definitely call this company next time I can't stand my windows.
Description of Work: Three men came out right on time and worked more than four hours cleaning window, storm windows and screens. They also cleaned multi-paned glass doors within my house.

+ -1 moreThey were very friendly and did a quality job. In the process, Mike knocked over an antique globe lamp that was a family heirloom and broke the globe. He told me to replace it and he would pay for it. In December, I did replace it for $146. I sent a copy of the receipt to Mike and did not hear from him. I made 4 or 5 calls to him over the next several months with no response. I contacted Angie's list and began the Complaint Resolution Process. After being contacted by Angie's list, he sent me a check for $146, a 25% coupon and a letter of apology. This was all very nice, but the only reason that I received this was because Mike wanted to keep his good standing on Angie's List. If it was not for Angie's list, I would not have received my check. I thank Angie's list for this.

+ -1 moreThree guys arrived on a spring morning that should have been nice but was freezing with an inch or two of snow on the ground. In about 90 minutes they washed both inside and outside of all my windows. The contract (an Angie's Big Deal) was for 30 windows but they were very generous in their count and washed several more than that. They even washed inside and out of a few storm windows (by accident, not included in price or requested, no extra charge). The inside of my garage window was embarrassingly dirty. So bad that I told them to skip that one – I would clean it myself this summer. With a smile, Mike said, “You get a bonus!” and cleaned it. K-Brite’s friendly and efficient crew did a great job.
