Description of Work: Looked at work area, visited office, ordered counter top. A week later they came and measured counter. Two weeks later they installed counter, and it fit prefectly. Were very business like, clean, fast and I have yet to break any china on the counter. Remenber the counter top fits over existing counter to so is not like solid tops.

Granite Transformations provides a "synthetic" marble, much like cultured marble. They showed up on time to make the template, and did a professional job. When the actual counter tops were installed, several problems occurred. The installers got glue on the walls in two places, one 12 feet from the nearest cabinet. Since we intend to repaint, this was not a big problem, but it was typical of the rest of the installation. After they had left, we found part of the counter tops was rough and needed polishing. We also found metal pieces embeded in the surface of the counter tops in several places, as well as off color "pieces" that contrasted with the overall color, making them very noticeable. The plumber they provided put the faucet back on incorrectly, resulting in a very large amount of water coming out of the base of the faucet. This problem was completely avoidable, as you could see the bottom seal sticking out of the base. We called GT and they sent people back out. The rough spot was polished out satisfactorily. The plumber came out and I showed him the problem. He tried to tell me that the seal sticking out did not make the faucet leak. I turned it on, and demonstrated that it did make it leak. He spent about 30 minutes on the faucet and prepared to leave. I looked at the faucet, and the seal was still sticking out and it still leaked. He told me he had greased the ball valve. I have no idea why. He redid the faucet, and prepared to leave again. This time the handle was on wrong. I just had him leave at this point. We called GT to discuss the fact that there were impurities in the countertops. They agreed to come out and take a look. Twice they called saying they couldn't make it out at the agreed upon time. To be fair, we also asked for a reschedule one time due to a hospitalization. When we finally got some one to come out (on a Monday), they made excuses for the plumbing nightmare but they did take some pictures of the contaminates in the countertops. They told me they would look into the metal pieces problem and would get back to me that following Friday. On Friday, no one called. We waited an additional week but did not receive any communication from GT. At this point we just accepted the fact that GT has terrible follow-up and apparently are not concerned about the quality of their material or their installation. Next time we will use actual stone, and a different supplier.
Description of Work: Granite Transformations provided new countertops for our kitchen, including a large free-standing island. A new sink was also installed, and our existing kitchen faucet which is fairly new was kept and reinstalled by their plumber.

They were very accommodating and invited us to pursue more types of counter tops if we wanted. We decided we wanted what we originally decided, and when we went to them, the owner was very gracious and did not answer any phone calls while he was dealing with us. They even added something they don't normally do on our order.
Description of Work: They drew the template for our new counter tops and we're waiting for them to come back in a few weeks and do the installation.

Salesman was extremely nice, very professional. The cost was going to be $7,200 which we thought was a tad high. We ended up going with real granite and a tile back splash instead with new sink and faucet. Total cost was $5,200 and we think the look of real granite is much nicer. We liked the Granite Transformations but you just cannot get the look of granite with a man made product and real granite has such a high end look.
Description of Work: We had them give an estimate of covering our counters, a new sink, new faucet and back splash.

They just finished the work. Everything went very well.
Description of Work: Granite Transformations covered our existing countertops and extended the peninsula we had in the kitchen so that it gives us a little bit more room and we can put barstools around it.

Salesperson showed up at appointed time lugging case of samples. Explained product and advantages over granite countertops, primarily ease of installation. We were impressed by professionalism of salesperson and product. She explained that the cost for this product was more comparable to quartz countertops. Ulimately we decided on real granite. It was a little less expensive and beautiful.
Description of Work: Provided estimate to cover existing laminite countertop with composite stone.
