Our founder's grandfather began helping neighbors with their weekend moves with his personal ice truck. We have never lost our sense of tradition and pride of providing our customers a quality move. terrible, never use them.
Description of Work: Worst move ever. Broke several things, put a hole in our drywall from the weight machines, destroyed the banner stairwell dropping furniture on it and the list goes on. Never use them.

Description of Work: They showed up two hours late and wanted to shrink wrap all of the furniture for an extra $50. When we said no they took all the boxes off the truck and left.

Description of Work: This is a wonderful company. They called several times before the move to be sure I was clear about the date, time,mand policies. They gave me a written contract and on the day of the move were on time, efficient, and careful with all the furniture and boxes. The moving crew were not only thoroughly professional, but friendly and responsive to my questions. I recommended them to two different friends who have also been very happy either their work.

Description of Work: Originally scheduled service on a Saturday. Get a call the day before and they say they will be at my address by 3pm. I get a call that morning and they say it is taking longer than they thought and that it will be 5pm. Next call I get they say they cannot come on Saturday and will move me first thing Sunday. Well, it was a snowstorm on Sunday and everything got messed up. | |The movers themselves did a great job and the price was reasonable. However I will NEVER use them again as the move date is a pretty important aspect to mess up.

Description of Work: I've moved many times in my lifetime this happens to be the worst nightmare I've ever ever encountered. They under estimated one truck which meant that they moved boxes in before some large furniture. I had brand-new white carpet installed a couple of days prior to their moving us. They did not put adequate protection on the carpets therefore I have gray areas on my white carpet everywhere where the protection was not completed. Of course with the maze of boxes and the furniture in disarray I didn't realize this until over a week later when I finally was able to pull up the protection and saw the damage to the brand spanking new carpet. They had plenty of materials that wasn't the case it was negligence. We were so tired that night course we signed off and paid them well over the amount quoted. When I saw the damages I was so disheartened. Not only that, but as we drugged along we see more damages & more things broken, more things scratched and dented. I would never ever use them again.

I was promised 2 trucks and 4 men to move our belongs from our 3700 sq ft house to a neighboring town in Ohio around the Columbus area. At 9:00AM 3 men showed up with only one truck. The 4th soon arrived as he was "dropped off by the boss". Still, however, we only had one truck. The men began loading all of our belongings into the truck. They used dollys to load all of the boxes we had packed and wheeled them out of our old house. Around 11AM I began to worry that the 2nd truck was still not there so I called one of the managers (the 1st truck was almost full). He said he was renting another truck and would bring it by. At 12:30 the truck was full and the workers sat and waited for the 2nd truck to arrive. They tried to start the first truck and it wouldn't start...dead battery. Around 1:15 a manager arrived with a rented truck that the workers quickly began loading. When they were finished they could not leave because the 1st truck still had a dead battery in my driveway so we waited for the service truck to come out and jumpstart it. Finally at 4 we were on our way. Travel time was only 1/2 hour so we arrived at the new location and they began unloading.Almost every piece of furniture we own had some sort of ding or scratch or scrape on it. One door to a hutch we have in our living room was completely caved in and while uloading a worker broke a hanging light fixture at our front door (he didn't tell me, I had to notice it myself).My wife and I spend the next several days unpacking and putting all our belongings in our new house only to find that some things were "missing". I didn't think much of it, maybe they were in a box we had not unpacked yet, until my wife looked for her kindle. It was gone, but when logging onto Amazon she had 3 orders on her Kindle placed the day we moved...June 3rd!!!There is not doubt in my mind that someone stoll her Kindle and 2 of my watches, all 3 which were in our bedroom night stand.I am still waiting for someone to pay for the broken light fixture and hear from a manager regarding the missing Kindle. Update: All My Sons has reimbursed me for the stolen and damaged goods. I consider this matter resolved.

Yes that morning we had to rent a truck to get out to the member, I am the GM here and I personally brought it out to the job site. When I arrived to the house they were finishing up the first truck, and yes when we went to start it the battery was dead. But we quickly moved it out of our way by pushing it so we could get started on the second truck (the down time of course was not charged to him and he got a discount for the inconvenience) With me being out there the four guys focused on getting the second truck loaded while I waited on the service tech. When they finished the second truck I had three men and the one truck head to the other location. I told the member his rate would go to a 3 man rate depending on how quick the service tech got out there. The service tech arrived just as the first truck was leaving and had us jump started in two min and I drove the second truck to the new location, at no point did we have to sit or wait and he was there with us the whole time. We arrived at the other location within 5 min of the other truck. I stayed there and helped unload the first truck that had all the furniture and big stuff. I helped carry in almost every piece of big furniture and never saw any dings or scratches and he isn’t even claiming any of that through our claims, he just wants us to buy three new items for him when he signed a paper saying that we were not moving any valuable items and we were responsible for them, yet there was a kindle and 5 watches left in a night stand (well two at first and my employee describe them to me and I asked him and he said oh yeah those were in there too). Im not sure why someone wouldn’t make sure items like that weren’t secured and left in a piece of furniture that’s going to be tilted and flipped to be loaded. I told him that I would have a claims packet sent out and I suspended the employee he accused of theft. The employee who is a single dad of three told me, “Nick I would never even think of taking something like that because I know I would lose my job and I can’t afford that, I even pointed the items out to the member while he was in there with me and he told me to leave them in there.” My guys know that we have a zero tolerance for theft. The accused employee let me know he stood with him in the room the whole time, and the night stands were pad wrapped and shrink wrapped. There is no way to get to them until the unload and the member was there the whole time and the I was there for the majority of the job. I have never known anyone to steal while their boss was there I have worked at other company where they had a problem with it but they didn’t drug test and background check like we do. The men I employ are drug tested and background check before they even get any training. This is the first accusation of theft for my office. I am still waiting for a copy of the invoice showing the purchases and time and date on the kindle. The light fixtures I told him I would replace the broken globe and he said they are discontinued and is trying to make me buy two fixtures at $114.00 EACH. This whole job was fine when I was out there and all of this came up several days later. I even helped get a 4-piece sectional with double recliners up into a loft trough the living room straight up up to the second floor, he told me he didn’t think I could do it and said if you get up there his wife would owe him. I got it up there with no problem and he was extremely happy. The whole move seemed to be going that way (them happy), he and his wife bought the guys food and told them how good they were doing the whole time I was there. We are going through the process of coming to resolution. The member in his complaint said he was SURE they were stolen, but that isn’t 100% positive. In my experience the items get misplaced or put under something but not stolen. I will take care of any damage and if anything was stolen it will be replaced. It is no a quick process when someone accuses theft but I am trying to make sure it is taken care of quickly. I know the employee very well and he wouldn’t steal 79 dollar kindle and some watches, he is a family man and would jepordize his job but now he has to deal with no work due to the member's accusations, and the member signed our addendum saying that we wouldn’t be moving any valuables.

It started out scary, because we were no longer on the 8-10 AM schedule, but Nick really scrambled to get movers and a truck to our house. The move finished a few hours later than originally planned, but they really worked hard to make sure everything turned out OK. I would definitely trust them again. My advice, call them the day before the move is scheduled to confirm. The movers totally won over my husband and my son. They were very professional, efficient, fast. Everything arrived safely and was put where it was supposed to go. We like the company.
Description of Work: Moved a lot of furniture and washer, dryer, ladders, from Columbus to Pittsburgh.

I have been pretty happy with them so far. The one thing that I like so much about them is I found myself in a desperate situation where I had to move within a couple of days, and they were extremely honest.

After searching on line for a moving co.I decided to go with All My Sons because of several reasons: 1. They gave me a reasonable estimate with an explanation of what to expect. 2. I always got a prompt response to my questions in a pleasant manner. 3. On the day of the move I met two men at the storage facility & they were on time. 4. They worked hard and fast while taking great care to wrap and secure all items. 5. When unloading at our home the same care and efficiency was used. 6. The movers were both pleasant and very hard working. They went the extra mile to do a good job.
Description of Work: We moved our household belingings from a 10x30 storage facility in Gahanna, Ohio to our new home in Aiken, South Carolina. They loaded and unloaded everything with great care and swiftness.
