You requested a review? Ask and ye shall receive, All My Sons. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would. There is no way they earned all these positive reviews and I’m willing to bet they paid for this “Google guarantee.” This was the most disorganized and unprofessional move I have ever experienced. I was told I had to file a claim for damages to my furniture before I could receive assistance on the “service end of things.” I did so and received a Docusign agreement for $288 to settle what would cost a few thousand to fix. In the small print, I learned that this settlement was ALSO for the service complaints. This was insulting and disrespectful, to say the least. Further down in the small print it states that if you sign and accept the settlement you enter into a non-disparagement agreement and cannot denigrate them or complain publicly. So, AMS, take your insulting, paltry settlement and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. Along with this post I am including images of my formal complaint as well as the claim settlement so potential future victims can see for themselves. When I finally received a call back from Carter, the operations manager regarding the claim on 8/7/24, I advised him that I filed a complaint with the BBB and requested a charge back from my bank. Just FYI- if you do waste your time and money they force you to use a card because once the charge is posted there is very little you can do to get your money back. Let’s just say that he was less than pleased that I was “taking money from them for services you received” and once I do that he is no longer permitted to work with me on my complaint, directly contrary to what the BBB indicates on it’s website. No, Carter. I did not receive the services I was promised. So I have no qualms about requesting the chargeback. Or lambasting you with this review, for that matter. I hope you go bankrupt.

Save yourself a lot of time, money & headache. The movers were unorganized, wasted time, took furniture units apart and did not put them back together. Placed items opposite of what they were told; completely blocked any access to bedroom closets; I can not get to the cable connection to connect internet. They set my couch down on dirt before bringing it inside. I could not walk barefoot without the bottoms of my feet turning black so had to clean that mess. One bathroom upstairs was blocked in addition to the closet. Hired 2 guys from Task Rabbit to help get the upstairs in order so I can unpack and work. Local move - I wish I had read more reviews before booking. They suck people in with a low estimate. 2 bedroom apartment move to another 2 bedroom apartment. Should not have taken 2 loads & unloads.

Save yourself time - money and a big headache and go with someone else. Drew is the owner and he is terribly unprofessional. Canceled our move five days before our date because they severely screwed up our friend's moving schedule the day before. Do not use this company. Please you will be so much better off. He had no idea about the quote that was given to us and tried to charge a higher rate the day he confirmed. Attempted to charge us for a third person that was never quoted. I have moved every year for the past five years from Cleveland to Boston to New York and never had to leave this kind of review. Drew is a reactionary business owner who didn’t want to hear that his own dispatch was a sh*t show. It was point-blank. When you book with all my sons you will be disappointed and infuriated. We booked with the wine competitor and as soon as we told her all my sons she left and apologized as she has “heard that guy is the worst.”

I feel my bill was inflated. The workers intentionally slowed down. $143 for gas for a 5 mile move. $50 for bubble wrap that was only used for a tv that wasn’t worth $50. The movers played and talked after they finished moving but I was still charged for the time they were playing. $179 for a travel charge even though the quote says $179 for labor and travel.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! #1, they lie about the prices! I was told I would pay a MAXIMUM of $698.00 but that it would probably be LOWER than that. It cost me $1057 plus "gratuity ($100) which they gave a sob story about how their pay is based 50% on tips! I was promised 3 movers but only two showed up. The hourly rate was lowered by only $30.00/hour but I only have 2/3 of the workers promised - not worth $30/hour "discount". The workers deliberately moved slower in my opinion to inflate the rates. They moved furniture ONLY is my 1107 square foot home. How could that take 3.5 hours????????? I believe they take advantage of senior citizens like myself. My dining room chairs (4), which were perfectly FINE before the move had NO SCREWS in three of the seats upon arrival. Coincidence? I think not! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMENT THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE AS SHADY AS ALL GET OUT!

Dayton, Ohio move. Used the Cincinnati office who transferred our move to Columbus movers. This company is horrible. The day of my move they showed up in a "RYDER" Truck... They damaged my brand new refrigerator. Quoted me one price on the phone as the 2 1/2 hour traveling minimum to turnaround the day of the move and charge me an additional 3 1/2 hour minimum. I selected this horrible company because Veterans United suggested them. They charged me for use of items that were not used but we did not find out until after we paid. Run .... Run... Run... away from this hot mess.... Wrote an email and nothing to date.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They completely lied about their moving prices and then held my furniture hostage after telling me I owed them TWICE what they quoted over the phone the day of the move. This company is underhanded and deceptive. Their customer service was terrible, rude and blamed ME for the incorrect quote. They told me $470 over the phone for an intown move with two guys for 2 hours and ended up demanding $930 when they came to drop off my furniture!

Unprofessional, rude, will attempt to run the clock. They were an hour late which resulted in a phone call of them requesting a higher rate than what was contracted. They took my deposit quoted me for $149 / hour then on the day of the move they jacked up the price to $189 an hour for their scheduling mishap or the couldn’t move me until late evening. Their policy is to collect payment before they unload the truck. I feared they would hike the price again so I declined the service. Which caused injury to myself and my two kids. We did not have the budget for them to charge us additional and run the clock. This company put us in a really bad situation. Please save yourself the bad experience

SOOOOOOO SHADY!!! We were quoted a max of $500 for 2- one bedroom apartments in the same complex moving to a two bedroom apartment 10 minutes away. The only large furniture that would be moved were 2 beds, 1 dresser, and a couch (very minimal heavy lifting). The movers showed up and joked around and wandered around taking one small box at a time to the truck (running the clock because they charge you double after 2 hours) they then informed us they would be going to get cigarettes because they had a long night and needed a break but would be meeting us at the new apartment. Upon going into one of the old apartments I found a huge pile of boxes they didn’t take! So we went and caught up to the truck before they left and informed them of all of the stuff they left. It was at this point they decided to use the dolly to get multiple boxes to the truck at a time (weird how they weren’t doing that the entire time?). We finally get to the new apartment and they come inside and inform us they will not be getting anything off the truck until we pay and it will be $830!!!!!! We obviously call and they say there’s nothing they can do and explain that after two hours they charge by every 15 minutes and it’s double the rate. After everything was paid and moved in the lead mover said we would be getting refunded because they didn’t use all of the time to move us that they charged us for (but couldn’t tell us an exact amount or when the refund would go through... but it would at least be $100). I STILL haven’t seen a refund and have called a couple times and have even disputed the charge and nobody has gotten back to me. TERRIBLE BUSINESS. Wish we would’ve saved ourselves the headache because we ended up having to move half of the stuff on our own anyways.

Misquoted the price. Came a day late due to broken down truck. Sent one guy with a cat allergy even though I had told them we had cats. Move took 10.5 hours and I still had to rent a uhaul the next day to finish. I paid way to much for awful service!!!
It was horrible! They destroyed half of my things and want to give my $51. We watched them drop four of our kitchen boxes from a ramp 5 feet in the air. They got grease all over our furniture and sweat all over our mattresses and couch. It was a awful experience! They never asked me to sign anything and they asked me for a tip. In the end they did not stand up for what the did and overcharged me for packing supplies, 79$, which were never used! What a sad excuse for a business. Next stop is my attorney.

TL;DR Version: All My Sons had one job, to move me out on Friday, 6/30/18. They failed. Miserably. Their first move took way longer than they anticipated and I got screwed and my move had to be moved back to Sunday, 7/1/18. The actual movers who showed up did a good job, however, All My Sons clearly has issues with scheduling. The Longer Version: On the day of my scheduled move, Friday 6/30/18, I got a call around noon telling me that the first move was taking longer than anticipated but that they were still "planning on" getting me moved that day. Around 3:30pm when I still hadn't heard anything, I called back asking for an update. I was transferred to Ashley Fagan who informed me that instead of keeping me in limbo we should reschedule my move. I took a vacation day, scheduled this move on this particular day, paid the deposit, then they could not deliver on their ONE JOB. To get me moved on 6/30. Ashley did not offer any kind of compensation or discount. Her response was that if I found someone else to move me, they would refund my $100 deposit. Well, it's summer (prime moving season), a holiday weekend. Of course, I could not find anyone else to move me on such short notice. So I rescheduled for Sunday, 7/1/18. Ashley told me I would be the first move and the movers would arrive between 8:30-9:30. Sunday morning rolls around and no movers by 9:30. I call All My Sons but it's Sunday so no one is in until 11 according to their voicemail. I finally get ahold of Brad Horan who identified himself as someone from corporate. I explained my frustration. He said that on Sunday's the movers don't get started until later but that I was the first move and the movers had been dispatched to my location. I expressed my frustration again and asked for some kind of financial compensation. Brad did offer the off-peak hourly rate, which is something I guess. Dallas and Dominique were my movers. Dallas was particularly efficient. It was 93 degrees and sunny and they worked hard. I have no complaints about the actual movers. I should also note that the original quote and confirmation for my move included THREE movers. Not two. Again, All My Sons had one job. To move me on the date that was pre-arranged, Friday 6/30. They could not do that. Luckily I had some flexibility however, I can't imagine what I would have done if I had a tight deadline and no flexibility. I chose All My Sons over another moving company because someone I know used All My Sons last month and had a good experience. I did not. This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. I've used several moving company’s over the years and this was a terrible experience. I would not recommend using All My Sons.

READ THIS BEFORE CHOOSING ALL MY SONS! I initially met with their estimator, Michael Bernard, cell # 954-882-8169. He told me we had more items than could be moved in 1 day, so he suggested moving us June 21-22. We had the majority of our items sitting in the garage. He confirmed there would be no problem taking anything at all. On Thursday, June 21st, nobody had shown up as of 2:30pm. I called the office and spoke with Ashley. She informed me nobody would be coming, and that the entire move would be done Friday, June 22nd. This was completely opposite of what Michael had told us, but she assured us it would get done. On Friday, June 22nd, the movers showed up around 11:30. They managed to move several boxes and our beds, but didn't touch a single piece of furniture over a 7 hour period. We asked the movers when someone would be coming back. They assured us someone was coming the following day, Saturday, June 23rd. Since nothing had gone as planned up to this point, I called the Columbus office to confirm. I was told on 3 different occasions that someone would call me right back, but nobody did. Finally, at 6pm, I was able to speak with Michael Baker. He told me nobody was available Saturday, but that I would be the "priority" move Sunday, June 24th. On Sunday morning I received no call or update of any kind. I started calling every number I had, but the only place that would answer was the main number at corporate. They told me management was going to call the Columbus office to make sure someone called within an hour. After no calls an hour later, I called back. They seemed shocked that nobody had called, and told me they would follow up again. A half hour later, I finally received a text that said I would be hearing from a driver shortly. Nobody called. Finally a truck showed up. I informed the driver, Andrew, that his company had failed to deliver on any promises up to this point. Fortunately, Andrew and his team did an amazing job. They managed to get 80% of the remaining items, including most the furniture. I tipped all 3 crew members $100. The following day I spoke with Bobbie Hayes, management at corporate, about all of the problems I was having with the Columbus office. She assured me she would take care of the issues and make everything right. She even gave me her cell #, 214-907-2163, and Michael Baker's cell #, 614-746-8909. A 3rd move day was set up to get the remaining items on June 27th. I specifically requested Andrew again, given the fantastic job he had done prior. Bobbie once again assured me she would make sure this was able to happen. On Wednesday, June 27th, nobody showed up once again. When I called the Columbus office, they told me I wasn't even on the schedule. I immediately hung up and called Bobbie. She seemed shocked that this happened, and called the Columbus office on my behalf. When she called back, she told me Andrew was in school, and was unavailable. Instead of letting me know, the Columbus office decided to completely remove me from the schedule. She let me know Andrew was available the weekend of June 30th - July 1st, and asked me to pick a day. I chose Saturday, June 30th. She said I would receive a call between 7:30 - 8:00 from the driver, and that my move would begin between 8:00 - 9:30. On Saturday, June 30th,. once again nobody shows up, and I receive no calls or updates of any kind. I called the Columbus office and spoke with Ashley. She informed me I was not even on the schedule. I immediately hang up and call Bobbie, who seems shocked again that this is happening. She calls the Columbus office, who tells her that Andrew was injured on the job 2 days earlier. Apparently he decided to skip school to work. All My Sons has been a complete failure. Not once have they apologized, or offered to do anything to make this right. I HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY MICHAEL BERNHARD, MICHAEL BAKER, ASHLEY, BRAD HORAN AND BOBBIE HAYES. Don't make the same mistake I did - choose another company.

They were to show up we’d for packing between 8 and 9:30. After they did not show I called and found out they had personal issues and probably would not be showing up I was concerned about the move the next day and they assured me yes I would be there between eight and 930 Thursday came and ate 930 came and went and they never showed up I started calling I called four times got put on hold for times was told I would be called back there were some issues and they never called back finally by noon I found out that they could not make it to my house to either pack or move me that day I had paid $500 for packing materials and a deposit on the move I ended up having to get another mover and pay for extra packing pay for a motel night of $155 and still did not get moved on the day that I was required to be out of the house I was very disappointed that they would not keep the customer informed client informed regarding what was going on and what the possibilities were that allowed me to make no additional plans to save myself both time and money and aggravation They kept stressing that they were professional movers that they could get this done that then they can never show up and never do the job I would never never never recommend them for any kind of a move. they will take your money and run with it they Are unable to resolve their own problems and will create new ones for you

All My Sons came to our house and gave us an estimate for moving services in early April. We signed the contract and gave them $199 deposit. Then on the scheduled move date around 8:30, they called to say they would not be able to move us. The person first started rambling on about how the crew was out late moving someone else and that they gave them extra time to make it into work Saturday and they would be late getting in. Then he told me one of the guys was in a car accident and went to the ER because his back was hurting. I asked him if the other people and then he told me they were in an accident too. I asked what his Plan B was and he didn't have one. I asked if they could move us on Sunday and he said no. I had to call around last minute and find a truck and people from two different moving companies to help us. One place told me All My Sons does this a lot; they book too many moves and cancel. The cancellation cost me extra money and time.

Called to get an estimate on moving only certain large items. Was told they need to send an estimator to produce a detailed quote. Made an appointment for 1:00 the following Monday. No one showed. When I called at 2:00 to find out where they were, they stated they called and did not receive an answer, so they assumed there was no one there (apparently this happens to them frequently). They called my wife's phone while she was at work instead of me and left a voice mail at 1:07 pm. Since they're on the west side of columbus, they wanted to make sure someone would be there before they left. They needed to travel to Newark. Since the appointment was at 1:00, and they called at 1:07, they had no intention of making the appointment in the first place. When I scolded them for not showing up, they're only response was, "we're sorry we couldn't meet your moving needs". Look, I get it. It's a long way to drive. But maybe you should stick to giving quotes on the phone instead of insisting that an estimator come to quote. When you make an appointment, you need to show up. Period. If they can't get this part right, what assurances are there that they'd show up on time on moving day? Or even show up at all? Sorry. You failed big time.

Overall, I had a good experience with All My Sons Moving Company. I had a few items that were nicked and chipped up, but all in all, the guys did a nice job. While I think the price could have been better, the group of movers were good.

This was insane. The appointment was for 11am. They arrived at 4:30pm. 3 members were part of the moving team, one visibly ill. Half way through the move he went outside and threw up in the street and then left. The remaining two guys had to finish, and one of them spent 20 minutes of a 90 minute job in my bathroom. The last guy, who seemed to be leading the bunch, told me, the homeowner (after his guys dented my dry wall with a headboard and I came to see what the noise was) that "he didn't need an audience now sir and I better move away". This business is ridiculous. Avoid at all costs.

Poorly. Do not use this company!! They did our move two days ago and it was a mess. I knew something was off when the first thing the crew leader asked about was money. We had a quote so not sure what that was all about. The crew did a shoddy job. They packed boxes for us but did not consistently label what was in each box. They stacked on top of boxes we'd packed and marked as fragile. They provided wardrobe boxes and packed them - if you call throwing items on hangers into the box. We thought the purpose of wardrobe boxes was so that hanging clothes could stay hanging. We would not have paid for these guys to pack if we knew we could simply throw things into a box...could have done that ourselves. Not that we would have because we actually care about our possessions, unlike these so-called professionals. Also, the estimator told us all their employees work for the company. Turned out some were temps. And when we'd point out an issue to the crew nobody took responsibility. Their answer was "I didn't pack thT so I don't know..." Do not hire All My Sons Movers!!!

I had used All My Sons moving company for a difficult move following my divorce in August 2016. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with the company at that time. The ease of the scheduling process, coupled with the professional, hard-working nature of the movers made an otherwise stressful time that much easier. At that time, I moved from a suburban house to a 2nd/3rd story apartment within a narrow older building in downtown Columbus. It was one of the hottest days of the year, and had to be miserable for the movers - but they kept their cool and pushed to get the job done as quickly as possible. Having been so impressed with your company and my experience last year, it was an easy decision to schedule All My Sons again after purchasing a new home less than 2 miles from my current apartment. I called on 4/17/2017 to obtain a quote, pay my $100 deposit, and schedule my 5/30/17 move with All My Sons. I requested an early morning move during my initial booking, and was told by the representative handling my call that while my move wouldn't be scheduled until closer to the moving date, they would notate my account with the requested time frame. I called again on 5/8/17 to see if I could secure a morning move time for my upcoming move. I was told by the representative with All My Sons that they wouldn't schedule my move until the Thursday or Friday prior to the moving date, but given that I had scheduled my move a month and a half in advance, it shouldn't be a problem to secure a morning appointment. He also advised me to call back at that time. As instructed, I called again on 5/25/17 to see if my move would be completed during the morning hours. I was told that they could not confirm an exact time frame yet, and that I would receive a call the day prior to my move with the exact arrival time of the movers. I received a call from All My Sons at 11:20am on 5/29/17 to confirm my move for the following day. I had missed the initial call, but called back at around 11:45am. I spoke with a representative who confirmed that as requested, movers would be arriving between 8-10am the following day. The person I spoke with was very distracted, rushing through the reading of his script, mumbling and speaking to other people within his office mid-sentence during the call. Despite the unprofessional nature of this call, I was able to confirm all information about my move and was told the movers would call the next morning when they were on their way. In preparing for my move the next day, I wasn't able to check my email until later in the afternoon that same day, 5/29/17. I had an email from All My Sons that had been sent at 11:22am stating that they were unable to contact me to confirm my move and to call back right away or else risk being removed from the schedule. I dismissed this email since I had called and confirmed my move at 11:45am. I was surprised to then see another email that had been sent at 11:52am - just minutes after I had ended my phone call confirming my move for the following day- congratulating me on my "completed move". I tried calling All My Sons to inquire about this email at around 4:30pm and no one answered my call. On my moving day, 5/30/17, I called All My Sons at 7:52am to ask about why I had received the email congratulating me on my completed move, and to confirm that movers were still set to arrive between 8-10am that day. I spoke with a representative who placed me on hold to check the status of my account. She then returned to tell me not to worry about the email- it was just an automated email that was sent preemptively to get feedback on my move. She then confirmed that movers would be arriving between 8-10am and that they would be calling when they were on their way. Less than 15 minutes later, at 8:08am I received a call from All My Sons. I was busy completing final prep work for my move and missed the call. A voicemail was left asking that I urgently call back. I called back right away and spoke to the office manager at 8:10am. He advised me that due to "ethical reasons" he unfortunately had to dismiss all 3 of the crew members scheduled to handle my move and that All My Sons would not be able to move me that day. No alternative time slot or further explanation was provided. I asked what could have happened between my conversation 15 minutes prior and then that would warrant the firing of an entire crew. He said he holds his team to high standards and simply couldn't have them completing a job given the circumstances of their "unethical situation". I asked if a different moving crew would be coming later in the day and he said that unfortunately, no one would be available to move me at all. I asked him what I was supposed to do given that I had scheduled this move a month and a half in advance and had confirmed multiple times in the weeks leading up to my move. He advised me to "find another moving company". I told him that was completely unacceptable given that I had my entire home packed and ready for a move, and now no way to possibly find another moving crew under such short notice. He apologized and said he understood that it was frustrating, but there was nothing he could do. I asked if another crew was available and he said there was not and that if he was in my shoes, he'd try to obtain a different moving company. Given the very positive experience I had with All My Sons less than a year ago, I was appalled at the level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer service I received on my moving day. As anyone who has ever moved can attest, moving in and of itself is one of the most stressful times in someone's life. To have a moving company call the morning of a move- minutes after having re-confirmed the details- and advise not only that the movers wouldn't be coming during the scheduled time, but that the company wouldn't be able to move me at all is absolutely deplorable. In my utter panic and disbelief, I asked the manager to transfer me to his supervisor or someone at the corporate office. He transferred me to a phone line that rang/kept me on hold continuously. I hung up, found the All My Sons corporate number myself, and was connected to a representative right away at around 8:22am. This representative was very helpful and after looking up my case information, advised that it appeared someone in the All My Sons office had mistakenly closed out my scheduled move the day prior, after I had called to confirm my move at 11:45am. He advised that his supervisor would be reaching out to the Columbus office and that the situation would be rectified. I received a call from the manager shortly thereafter advising me that he would rearrange the schedule of a crew that was currently at another job and that they would be there in approximately 4-5 hours. The fact that this "manager" couldn’t independently problem solve to remedy his own office's error without needing to be prodded by a call from corporate is embarrassing and beyond disappointing. The moving crew did indeed show up at around 1:30pm. While the crew ultimately saved the day and successfully completed the job, it was 4-5 hours after my scheduled start time, they came unprepared with no tools to disassemble my bed frame (*luckily I knew which box I had packed my toolset in and was able to give them mine to use), and the whole move took an excessively long time. The crew was clearly stressed at having to complete an additional unexpected job (not their fault). In comparison to my prior moving experience with All My Sons, I was able to be efficiently moved a much farther distance, with significantly more furniture (*I had an entire additional queen bed with a washer & dryer that was moved in August 2016), under much worse weather conditions, in significantly less time. This time around, my bill ended up at $1,100+ to move less items, less than 2 miles down the road (with my boyfriend helping to unload the truck). The stress and anguish caused by the company's disorganization and horrible customer service truly made this the worst moving experience of my life. When I call a month and a half in advance to schedule an appointment and speak to representatives a total of 5 times prior to the appointment, it's completely unacceptable to then have such an important, large-scale service cancelled with less than even an hour's notice. Never in my life have I experienced such disgusting disregard from a customer service based company.

They were new young workers. They backed into my mailbox. They broke it. They were not careful with my antiques.

First I want to express that I was extremely impressed and satisfied with the move. This was the first time that I moved using a company so I must admit I was a little uneasy in addition to the major stop I had requested 3 additional stops to my surprise all went well and under the two hour window. The interaction with the staff was outstanding they demonstrated the type of knowledge that is required to make a person feel comfortable with their move. The moving crew was on point from the time they arrived to completion, the receivers of the goods had nothing but high praise for them. Great job in all areas, keep up the good work. If you are wondering if I would recommend your company the answer is YES!!!.

Ryan and Freddie were Awesome. They were punctual, professional, and fast (even though they were working by the hour.) They passed the alloted time and we had already paid, but they wanted to continue to putting things together and in place. These were great people and definitely represented a company that I would recommend to anyone.
Description of Work: They moved my household goods approximately 8 miles.

HORRIBLE! Worst nightmare EVER! They showed up 5 1/2 hours late, we were supposed to be the first move of the morning (11/5/16). Once they arrived they told us it was going to be $300 MORE than what was quoted due to 'the other 2 guys are less experienced and aren't as fast'! Some of the furniture (Dressers and Hutch) All My Sons Movers were unable to lift, the Supervisor that was there asked 2 of our helpers (15 & 16 y/o boys) to help him because 'My guys don't have the muscle to lift these, I'm moving 1 piece to their 2 or 3 pieces'!!!! Out of the 3 movers, we had 1 whose first day was that day (11/5/16) and 1 who has been there for 1 week. Boxes were dumped upside down, the top of our hutch was broke, they are the worst company ever, will never recommend!
Description of Work: We were moving 1.3 miles away, items needed moved: Various Boxes, Beds, dressers, Couch, Loveseat, Ottoman, Hutch Curio Cabinet, Dining room table, Deep freezer.
