It looked beautiful! I came home, and I couldn't believe I was at the same house!
Description of Work: I called them on Friday, the 26th. Then Mark Smith, the president, called me on Saturday. He let me know that he would be out that Monday at 4 to discuss what I needed done. He called early that day to ask if he could come at 11 AM instead. I have a front bed that is rather large that tends to grow ivy on to the steps. It needed quite a bit of attention. I wanted it cut for Halloween so no children would trip on the steps. I also had a rose bush, and he trimmed all of that back. He then cleaned everything up, and edged everything.

The plants were 1) Three tiny rhododendra that did not survive despite being watered; 2) Vinca first planted in the wrong area and then hastily replanted. The mowing was done weekly at $40 a mow. The mowers pulled down our badminton net twice, and then finally broke it. We did receive reimbursement for the net. The weeders did not get much weeding done.
Description of Work: Planted plants and did spring cleanup. Mowed weekly. Did an extra weeding Put down some mulch. Worked from spring into August until I stopped them.

Response from Yard Right Landscaping LLC
This is the first time we are aware of her concerns and it is unfortunate that she did not bring this to our attention and choose this forum instead. With all our landscape installations, we provide a written 1 year warranty. She agreed to 3 gallon Rhododendron's and was fully satisfied when they were planted. The vinca was planted based upon her direction and when she called back because she had decided she wanted them moved, we returned and re-planted them elsewhere with no charge. They had an old badminton net in the middle of her yard that required being moved everytime the yard was mowed. Because the net was old, it eventually broke. We agreed to pay for a new net and immediately reimbursed her for the net. The mowers had to then bend under the net everytime they mowed because she did not want the net taken down. A crew of 3 weeded her property one time. They spoke to her and walked around the property with her before they weeded and then spoke with her after they were done. She indicated at the time that she was very happy. Unfortunately, after many attempts to please her, we were unable to do so.

I connected several companies and got estimates. Yard Right Landscaping was the most competitive estimate for the task requested. We scheduled a date, about 10 days after I received the estimate, and they arrived right on time. There were multiple worker and the work took several hours to complete. The results were excellent! I would hire Yard Right Landscaping again.
Description of Work: I had the front gardens (there are two on either side of the front door and they run the length of the house) weeded and mulched.
Mark Smith is the owner of this company. I don’t recall the price I paid them but I thought they were reasonable. I thought they were very good. I was very satisfied with their work. It is all holding up very well. I will use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Yard Right Landscaping LLC. late August to do some reseeding, they removed some dead vegetation, removed a large Lilac and planted a couple of shrubs.

We had a great experience with YardRight, and we love our patio and landscaping. They did an excellent job clearing out our uneven backyard, levelling it, and installing a paver patio with sitting wall and lots of landscaping. We absolutely love it, and we would definitely use them again. Mark Smith is great to work with - very responsive and trustworthy.

We did meet with this member on 8/15 @ 6:30p. Upon reviewing the scope of work, we informed him at that time that his grass was way too high for our equipment to handle and recommended him contacting someone who had a bush hog. We did not provide him with a quote nor did we provide him any services.

They first arrived on the 8th, did about 1/2 of the work on that day, and I called to make sure the rest would be getting done. Mr. Smith assured me that the remaining beds would be weeded, the remaining ties removed, the crabapple limbed up and all the perennials deadheaded on the following Monday, the 11th. I was not home at the time any of the work was done. Upon return from work today, the 11th, I saw that the remaining work was done. I was pleased with MOST of the remaining work, but the deadheading of the perennials left a LOT to be desired. All of my Corieopsis were not deadheaded at all, it is perfectly obvious that most of what remains on the flower stalks is seed pods. My Fiesta daisies were not deadheaded, instead they were literally mowed flat to the ground, having ALL of the foliage and everything else removed, all I have left is root! It really looks as if they were weedwhacked flat to the ground. This is definitely not the proper treatment for daisies! My Sweet Williams were treated in the same fashion, however some of them were just left alone, and not deadheaded at all. I have another set of plants in back, Spoonleaf Yuccas. These are quite obviously dead and bloomed, having nothing but seed pods left, and they were left as is. The stalks on the dead flowers for these are about 2 inches in diameter, and very woody, so need to be cut off with a saw, or other sharp bladed instrument, and are about 4 feet tall, so they can't be easily missed.I have not contacted Mr. Smith about the issues with the deadheading. I'm not certain that a third time out here would do much but maybe damage more of my plants! At this point, I'm not certain that any of his team were supervised at all, or knew what plants were what. In addition to this, when they removed some of the bleeders from the crabapple tree, and 'weeded' the small circular bed around it, they pulled up all but one of my perennials that were planted there. They left a single coneflower, and pulled up about 6 snow on the mountains and 4 coral bells. I was willing to chalk up these as a minor issue, because at least the coral bells were hard to discern from the bleeders, but the snow on the mountain were pretty obvious as not being weeds. On a more positive note. They did a nice job in removing the debris, railroad ties, and placing down the topsoil and grass seed, and the trees that they trimmed up look fine. They did a fine job with the removal of the lambs ear and the bishops weed as well. If they had handled my remaining perennials properly, I would have given them an A rating. *Update* I'm not sure if they used old or substandard grass seed. We watered as instructed by the owner, for a 10 day period, watering once per day, only in the morning or evening, and very little seed actually sprouted. We now have a large area of weedy topsoil in our back yard, instead of a large area of weedy wood chips.
Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Smith originally to get an estimate on several smaller items needing done in our yard. The list of items contracted for were: 1. Removal of weeds from all flowerbeds 2. Trim and prune and limb up a crabapple tree and a sandcherry tree. 3. Removal of some previously trimmed limbs and debris from the yard. 4. Removal of railroad ties from an old play area, and a garden area 5. removal of lambs ear and bishops weed from the flowerbeds 6. removal of weeds from the play area, installation of topsoil to same area, installation of grass seed to same area. 7. Deadhead all perennials Work was originally scheduled for July 7, but pushed back a day to the 8th. About half the work was completed on the 8th, the remaining work completed on July 11, 2011. I had taken the 7th off of work so I could supervise, mainly because I wanted to make sure the flower beds were done properly, but I had to trust them since I was unable to take the 8th or 11th off.

Went well considering the amount of rain that disrupted the job numerous times.
Description of Work: Mark is a great guy and didd a great at job especially considering what he started with. We had a yard in a unique neighborhood that was completelt buried in mulch. I think the amount was unknown and probably underestimated by Mark.He hauled out approximately 250 cubic yards of mulch before he scould start the grading and clearing. In addition to that nightmare, we have had the wettest spring in history, causing many starts and stops and dryout periods in between. I am sure he was glad when this was over as the Bobcat got stuck, and needed towed out, he needed about double the dumpsters as he thought, and never asked for more money to cover the overage . All in all I think the job went well, we actually have a green lawn and the grading was done fairly well. We have some pooling areas, but I am sure that was caused by the rains, and settling of the huge amount of topsoild that was moved. This was ha big job and we asked alot of Mark, and he came through. He is very proffessional and a great guy and I will call him in the future if we add more landscaping or hardcaping. He will do He also had to deal with one of my bossy neighbors, and went beyond what he needed to do. He will do what he says he will do and always has a smile on his face. Thanks Mark and good luck!

They passed along a referral for our project and responded in a day or two.
Description of Work: We called Yard Right to get an estimate on a pergola. They responded via email within a day or two and said that they didn't do pergolas but passed along a name and number of someone who does. I really appreciated hearing back from them. I think a lot of places wouldn't have bothered to contact us and pass along a referral if it didn't mean direct business for them. I thought that was great. We ended up calling the person and have the job scheduled. Thanks Yard Right!

I left a message on Sunday requesting to schedule a time to obtain an estimate/walk-through and received a return call in the morning of the following Monday. Mark worked with me and agreed to schedule the estimate/walk-through for the following Saturday. When Mark arrived for the estimate/walk-through, I explained that it is our first house and we don't know much about landscaping. Mark took the time to listen to our thoughts and how we wanted the house to ultimately look. He spent about forty-five minutes with us bouncing ideas around and coming up with a plan. Although we chose another company that was slightly more expensive (had to do with landscaping schedule and timing), we definitely will keep Yard Right on our short-list for future projects.

It goes well -- our place looks great! The only issue we've had was that if they come by for their weekly cutting and the grass hasn't grown, they threaten to charge for having come by. I've been trying to remember to call them early in the week if our grass hasn't grown, but I really don't like to be that involved. Anyway, our yard always looks great and the price is about right for all the effort they put forth. They are highly responsive to cell-phone calls. We'll likely keep using them as long as we can.

Work was completed while at work - did not know they would be out that day, so we could not oversee. One tree was placed off center, evergreen shrub was placed too far from garage, front bed nothing was done, except for mulch being dumped on top (had dead bushes and chunk of clay from repair that should have been cleaned up - and 1 bush removed before planting tree). Evergreen shrub died and concerned that when tree on corner was installed, the drainage pipe was damaged as downspout no longer works. Have not contacted provider about concerns yet. Used company in past and was very pleased. Perhaps this is a blip?
Description of Work: 2 new trees, repair & mulch bed, create new bed, move ornamental grasses to new bed, rebuild stone wall (using existing stones), install 1 evergreen shrub.
