I had a mixed experienced with Quarry. I signed a contract in late March after seeing a promotion on their website advertising select colors for $39.99/ sq. ft. until 3/31. I felt rushed but since this was a great price I wanted to lock it in. However, the $39.99 "Special Offer" is still advertised on the site, now until 6/30. Hannah was very responsive and great to work with. We picked our slabs at Mont Granite and the template and installation were scheduled quickly. I took off work to be home for our afternoon install, with an expected arrival between 2-3 PM. After not arriving, I called Hannah and found the installers were delayed at a previous job. They ended up not arriving until after 6PM so I wasted a vacation day!
The installers were great and had the 60 sq. ft and new sink installed in a little over an hour. But the next day we found some large scratches on our island from transportation/installation. They were inspected a week later but the guy did not have appropriate tools to repair. So he returned again to buff the scratches and reseal the granite. The repairs probably took longer than the entire installation as he was there for over an hour and a half.
I am very satisfied with the finished product but it felt like a lot of effort to get it done. If price is your main focus, you can't beat it. However you may want to consider another contractor if you want to avoid potential headaches.
The counters look great, really make the kitchen. Would recommend and use again in the future.
In the beginning stages, Lance visited my residence in rural Ohio, a two hour drive, and he was very pleasant to work with. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I may have had. I could tell Lance enjoyed his line of work and was engaged in the business. That's always a "plus" in my book.
The two visits to Mont Granite were both amazing. The first trip was to decide on the stone. The second was to pick the exact slabs to be installed. The gentleman who assisted me with the slabs was fantastic and so comical. He gave me insight to what I was looking at and to see just a three foot section for the counter. I wish I knew his name. He made the trip! I chose a PERFECT slab specifically for my island then another for the back counter top.
And then scheduling the Install was a project in itself. Since I was not only installing but tearing out walls, repairing plaster, total rewiring, adding lights, moving outlets...whew! - I had to reschedule my install twice. On one account, the installers came a week earlier than the final install date, total miscommunication, and had to drive back because I wasn't ready- or wasn't even home for that matter. I felt bad for their wasted trip and worked with Mike to reschedule one last time.
Install went fairly well. Tyler and his sidekick were great. I had to have my stove top cut out, as well as the holes for the plumbing fixtures. I was warned early on that it would make quite a dusty mess. The installation guys were pretty good with sucking up the dust with a shop vac as they cut. I didn't stick around to watch due to the noisy screech of the saw. But they did a great job. Perfect fit! Tyler even helped me decide the layout for the plumbing fixtures. Of course I had some cleaning to do after they left but that was expected due to the fine dust. Tyler ran through a check list with me and everything looked great.
...and then...DEEP BREATH...
A couple weeks later I found a crack in front of my sink on the Island...the PERFECT piece of slab I picked specifically for that space. Upon inspection, I could tell it happened during fabrication due to the glue residue used to initially fix it. I called Quarry and left a message for Mike. He was extremely quick to respond and I remember his exact words..."we need to get out to your place to make this right, or we'll replace the slab". Wow- !! This company stands behind their work! I knew they were pretty busy due to all my rescheduling but Mike had two guys out within a week . Honestly, I loved that slab so much, I would've been heartbroken to have to replace it. But they guys repeatedly sealed, polished and buffed for almost two hours on a 4 inch section- and I can't feel a thing! They did an amazing job. If I get eye level, in the right light, I can still see the crack but everyone else who knew about can't find it.
Overall, I'm a proud home owner with the most beautiful kitchen thanks in part to Quarry Granite. In the distance future, I plan on using them again for my bath rooms.
..sorry to write a book about my experience but when you spend that amount of money- others need to know about the whole experience.
Thanks Mike and Mike.
was very good about answering any questions I had while they were installing. From start to finish the whole team was GREAT.
process was made easy and simple. We loved the selection of stock granites available and the installation went off
without a hitch. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining about the product and the installation process.
This was important because of some nightmares stories we have heard about granite installations gone wrong. They
definitely stand behind the product and workmanship. Overall, the experience was great and we would definitely use
this company again in the future.
