They were VERY professional and explained the cleaning process and how it should be done. The last company did it the incorrect way for my pipe on my wood burner. This actually created a potential fore hazard. These guys were pleasant and took the extra step to seal my wood burner for me. A++++++++++++

Actual service call very good , professiona Office unprofessional and not efficient. Did not write me on the schedule. Did not respond to calls about being missed. When I finally got a hold of office he wrote down wrong time for next appointment. Then double booked me a month later. Just horrible.

It went well. Kicking Ash inspected the inside and outside of the chimney, lit the pilot got the first burn in for the season and cleaned up a little around the sand in the fireplace. Overall, very good job and very polite person.

On time, explained everything he was checking to assure fireplaces were safe to use. I purchased the home 2 years ago and had not tried to turn on the gas starter and use the fireplaces. Answered all my questions, cleaned the chimneys, no dust or mess. Also fixed the damper that was jammed and partially open. I was very glad to get the damper closed before the really cold weather. Great job!!!.

They did an awesome job with the initial chimney cleaning and repair estimate. I have tried 3 other times to arrange further analysis and repair of the brick work around the base and although a day and time was agreed to they never showed up or called to reschedule. My nanny and neighbor said they showed up other random times to see if I was available for impromptu appointments, which I was not. I am sad that after the initial very good service I haven't been able to get them back again.

They called, verified the time, showed up on time, were very courteous, professional fast and charged me exactly what they said in their quote. Couldn't have been more impressed, the owner is very personable and does a wonderful job of explaining everything as little or as much as you like. I also liked the fact he gave me a tip about how to make my fireplace look a little better by painting it black with high heat paint. This is a really nice tip and shows that he cares about going beyond just the scope of his duties. He really just seems like a nice guy. I definitely will use Kicking Ash for all of my fireplace/chimney/masonry needs! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Terry came out to do our fireplace inspection and cleaning. We're new homeowners, and he was patient and generous with his time and expertise, going beyond simply inspecting (cleaning, as it turns out, wasn't needed), but also helping us to better understand our chimney and other related building systems.

Purchased the chimney sweep special for $99 with an additional $100 to go towards masonry repair. Serviceman showed up about 20 minutes early, which was fine since I was already home. Only took a few minutes to realize during inspection that the walls of my fireplace box were cracked and in need of repair. Cost to repair the walls and floor was $650 with labor. Decided to wait to make a decision on having the walls replaced, converting to gas fireplace or removing the fireplace altogether. Serviceman was very courteous and professional and answered all my questions. There was no need to sweep the chimney since it was not operable until the walls could be replaced.

It went very well. The 2 gentleman were courteous and efficient. They thoroughly cleaned and inspected my gas logs and chimney, which had not been used for nearly 10 years. Everything checked out OK. They fired up the logs and gave some pointers for safe operation. Would hire again.

They came out and we didn't have our gas pipes grounded. We got it done and they were more than accommodating. I offered to pay for the trip and the owner just wanted me to be satisfied. When I upgrade to a better system, I will be calling them.

Jeremy and his crew worked with my contractor installing a wood burning fireplace to an existing chimney located in the garage. Service was professional and on time. Jeremy also inspected the old fireplace and determined it was not safe to operate. Jeremy was a pleasure to work with.

The work was done very promptly and looked great. Both chimneys were done at the price others quoted for just one I have already set up an appointment for work to be done at my new residence.
