E.E. Ward Moving & Storage

Price too high so decided to go with another vendor.

The North American Van Lines truck arrived on 6/14/2010 at 10:30 am. There were 2 helpers and the driver. The bulk of the day was spent packing items from the closets and cupboards. The actual loading began at about 6:00 pm. There was only the back half of the truck available due to someone elses belongings also going to Florida. At about 9:00 pm, the driver told me that he had run out of room and another truck would need to be sent the following morning to take the rest of the furniture and other things. The other truck arrived at 10:30 am and loaded everything else. Unfortunately, these items would need to be scheduled with someone elses move to Florida. The bulk of the furniture arrived on 6/17/2010 in Cape Coral Fl and the remainder arrived on 6/26/2010. Both the packing/loading crews and the unloading crews were very courteous and professional. If I ever have to move again I would definitely keep them in mind.

two part move--part 1 went smoothly; movers efficient, prompt and focused. part 2- nightmare- almost 2 hours late; head mover did not know of intermediate stop and overall moving instructions; did not have the right sized truck; did not have supplies to protect the furniture; carried it out unprotected until we stopped them; truck leaked water so some files damaged; company admitted overbooking-after we gave them a 3 week notice - our stress, anxiety and some damage in exchange for their greed. We paid extra for a plasma TV container- TV suppose to be delivered in this "special" box. It was not. We were ripped off. Salesperson lied about the type of company this is and type of job we could expect. When we called to register a complaint, the manager did nothing except give us excuses from overbooking, to their office move; was unconcerned about the lack of proper supplies for moving the furniture; said we were getting 2 extra guys (see above-original 2 movers were not aware of the job and did not have proper truck or supplies for the job-somebody did not inform them properly--manager??). We were able to get a 25.00 refund on a trip charge.

They did a good job. I will use him again in the future.

The move went very well. I experience first hand the excellent work and service provided. The E.E. Ward team worked well with all of my requests and dates.

The movers had to remove heavy shop equipment from a lower level of the building to their truck outside. Some of the equipment was very heavy but that did not deter the movers. They moved everything I ask to be moved and completed the project in the time estimated. The workers showed up on time and worked quickly but carefully and were courteous at all times. I will definately be using this mover again on future projects.

The company provided two cost estimates to remove and discard old office furniture. They also provided boxes for packing. The company salesperson was professional and provided a timely proposal that was fair. The moving team arrived on time, provided efficient and courteous service.

Everything went really smoothly. It far exceeded our expectations. They were efficient and on time. Not a single thing was damaged in the move, which I thought was really impressive.

Four workers and two trucks showed up on time, worked hard and were polite and professional. They were careful with our things and placed furniture and boxes wherever we requested.

It was the best moving experience that I have ever had. There was nothing broken and nothing lost, that I know of now. There was no surprises. They packed up everything on Monday and then packed the truck on Tuesday. They held our possessions on the truck for about two weeks because our house was not ready in Boston.

The quality of their work was good. I would use them in the future. They were courteous and kind. I would recommend them. They were professional while they worked.

There was some difficulty getting the couch out of the apartment even though we had moved it ourselves in the past and gave them suggestions on how to move the couch. By the time they got done moving everything, they went over the time estimated for the work by 10 minutes so it cost me an extra hour of labor. I did not feel they were as efficient as they should have been.

Customer service was very helpful. Scheduling made it easy because they were able to let me know when they were going to be delivered.

Great attention to detail. Wrapped couches. We have hardwood floors and they were very conscientious of that. Pricing structure was really nice - hourly, but when they went under the time, they charged me less.

Overall, my experience with E E Ward was exceptional! I will refer them to everyone I know and will not hesitate to use them in the future. The first visit from the sales person was a pleasant experience. He was exact in what would be required during the move. The price did not change once the move was completed.

We were so impressed with the service E.E. Ward provided! The company sent a team of four people to help with our move. Each was friendly, courteous and an incredibly hard worker. Not only did the company inventory every single item before it left our old home to be loaded onto the truck, but the crew handled each item with the utmost care, as if it belonged to them personally. We found this attention very comforting and knew our items would be well-protected and not at risk for damage. In addition, the E.E. Ward crew went to great lengths to ensure each piece of furniture and box was placed in our preferred location and even moved items, as we changed our mind about, where we wanted to put the item. Several friends came by our new house as the crew worked, and all were just blown away at the outstanding job they witnessed. From the packing to the moving, and from the work ethic and professional attitude of the crew, we just had the most pleasant experience with E.E. Ward.

ABOVE AVERAGE BUT NOT PERFECT. SOME DAMAGE THAT WAS NOT EXPECTED. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO TAKE APART A WALL UNIT THAT HELD THE TV THEY DIDN'T IT BROKE. THEY DID REIMBURSE ME THE MONEY.. GREAT PACKERS.

I have moved several times and EE Ward provided the best move that I have ever had. I received their name from several friends at corporations who's companies use their services. I examined their new warehouse before I stored my items there. The warehouse was clean and secure. The salesman and customer service people were excellent and truly assessed my needs and did not try to sell me things I did not need. The men who packed my home were extremely careful and skillful with my china and glass. I felt comfortable because the men wore clean uniforms and name tags. During the move, these guys worked their butts off and had a great attitude. Not one item was damaged. Not the cheapest, but they provided great value for what they bring to the table. The salesman's estimate was accurate and well detailed. I highly recommend EE Ward to others. Don't be cheap, pay skilled and experienced professionals like EE Ward. I continue to recommend them to everyone and they haven't let anyone down.

FIRST CONTACT WAS WITH GREG. NEEDED A MOVER TO PICK UP MANY, MANY BOXES AND REMAINING FURNITURE ASAP BECAUSE I HAD MADE A MISTAKE AND CONTRACTED WITH PORTABLE STORAGE COMPANY. HAD SO MANY ITEMS THAT WOULD NOT FIT IN CONTAINER DESPITE COMPANY SAYING THEY WOULD, NEEDED SOMEONE TO MOVE THE REMAINING AND TO DO IT IN DAYS. GREG PERSONALLY HELPED ME WITH THE ESTIMATE AND SCHEDULED THE MOVE THE SAME DAY. MOVERS WERE SOME OF THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MOVERS I HAVE EVER MET. MOVED THE ITEMS INTO THEIR TRUCK IN AN HOUR AND A HALF. MADE SURE TO GET PROPER CONTACT INFO AND WERE JUST SO PLEASANT THROUGH THE ENTIRE PROCESS. EXCELLENT JOB! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS A LESS STRESSFUL MOVE. THE PRICE WAS AMAZING. I REALIZE THEY COULD HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF MY PREDICAMENT BUT THEY DID NOT. INTEGRITY AND PROFESSIONALISM WOULD BE TWO WORDS I WOULD EASILY USE TO DESCRIBE THIS COMPANY. BRAVO EE WARD MOVING!

FOUR MEN AND 2 TRUCKS MOVED US. THEY WERE GREAT, VERY CAREFUL WITH OUR FURNITURE AND RESPECTFUL. OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE ACTUAL MOVE WAS EXCELLENT. HOWEVER, THE PEOPLE WORKING IN THE OFFICE WERE TERRIBLE TO WORK WITH. THEY GAVE US A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE AND WHEN I RECEIVED THE CONFIRMATION IN THE MAIL THE QUOTE HAD ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR BULKY ITEMS AND TRAVEL TIME WHICH I WAS NOT INFORMED OF OVER THE PHONE. WE NEEDED A SWINGSET MOVED AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD MOVE IT. THEY ACTUALLY CALLED SOMEONE TO DISMANTLE AND PUT IT BACK UP THAT WAS SEPARATE FROM THE COMPANY AND I HAD TO PAY THAT PERSON SEPARATELY. I REQUESTED ADDITIONAL INSURANCE WHICH WAS NOT REFLECTED IN THE STATEMENT THE MORNING OF THE MOVE. THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD DELIVER BOXES TO MY HOME BUT WHEN I CALLED TO FIND OUT WHERE THEY WERE THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T DELIVER DURING PEAK TIMES AND I WOULD HAVE TO PICK THEM UP, A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. THE OFFICE ASSOCIATES WERE SO RIDICULOUS THAT I WOULD NOT USE EE WARD AGAIN.

JUSTIN AND HIS HELPER WERE AWESOME. THEY CAME AT EXACTLY 1PM LIKE THEY SAID. THEY CHARGED ME $75 TO DO THE MOVING, WHICH WAS ALMOST HALF THE PRICE THAT ALL OTHER COMPANIES WERE ASKING. THE JOB ONLY TOOK 20 MINUTES PLUS DRIVING TIME.

THEY WERE EXTREMELY POLITE AND TOOK GREAT CARE TO COMPLETELY COVER THE FURNITURE BEFORE MOVING. IT TOOK LONGER THAN WE EXPECTED, BUT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. BOTH MEN GOT A NICE TIP FROM US THAT WAS MUCH DESERVED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE VALUABLE FURNITURE. EXCELLENT WORK AND WE WERE VERY PLEASED. WE WOULD USE THEM AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

THE TEAM (4 MEN) THAT MOVED OUR HOUSE HAD WORKED TOGETHER FOR 15 YEARS, AND IT SHOWED. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND!

TWO THINGS I WOULD SUGGEST. 1. ALLOW THEM TO PROVIDE AN IN-HOME ESTIMATE, BECAUSE IT WAS MORE ACCURATE AND THE ESTIMATOR GIVES YOU A LOT OF TIPS FOR GETTING READY FOR THE MOVE AND SAVING MONEY ON THE MOVE, LIKE PACKING TIPS AND INFORMATION OF CHARITY DONATION OF FURNITURE. 2. LET E.E. WARD STAFF THE MOVE WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS THEY RECOMMEND; OTHER MOVING COMPANIES SUGGESTED LESS PEOPLE, IF I WOULD HAVE GONE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY THE MOVE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE IN AN REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME.
