I called on Saturday. They scheduled me between 12-2 on Sunday. No one showed up. No one called.

Excellent! I called on Thurs. and got an appointment for Friday. The technician told me that it was not my hot water tank leaking but my Air Conditioner. He told me the hot water tank was fine and was able to help me trouble shoot the A/C problem. He cleared out the drain in the bathtub and gave me tips on how to prevent clogs in the future. He was friendly and professional.

Went great. Arrived on time and quickly fixed the problems. Will use again.

My experience with Benjamin Franklin was nothing short of positive. The supply line to our master bathroom bathtub started spraying water everywhere. I had to turn the water off at the main water tank to stop it. I found Benjamin Franklin here on Angie's List and called. They called me back immediately and said they would be able to stop by today and evaluate the issue. Since I called at lunch time on a Friday, I really doubted they would be able to come over, but they made time for me and not only evaluated the issue, but fixed it as well. The previous owners did a very poor "do-it-yourself" job when they installed the tub. The pipe lines were not long enough to ensure a good seal and they tried to use pieces in ways they weren't meant to be used. Details on names of parts are lacking because I honestly don't recall the specific names of the parts and I don't want to misinform you. Things were where they shouldn't of been and parts were even installed upside down. It was a totally botched job. They were able to fix the issue and install remote shut off valves on each of the pipes. I am forever grateful for their responsiveness, quality of their work, and professionalism. If you are in need of any plumbing services, I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Great people, great service. There's really no need for you to look any further than Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

We used you many times in past. I have learned to expect fast and good service. I also have always been happy with your price. I used you for my daughters house that needed a new sump pump and your guy was on time and to be honest talks way too much for me, but he did the job I have been thinking since that I thought the price was high. Jeff was the plumber he was nice guy just talks a lot. Invoice 9688 just took off old pump and installed a new $385.00. I'm just asking if this is the right price? I have been lucky to have the owner out most of the time and he is the best. Just need to find out if this is right. Marvin

I called Saturday morning and they were able to get a plumber to my house within 2 hours. He was friendly and respectful and got right to work. He explained the problem and kept me informed throughout. He had to leave to go to the hardware store to purchase an "o-ring" that he did not have in stock, but returned quickly and finished the job. They are a bit pricey, but very professional and responsive, performing excellent quality work.

Jeff did a great job fixing and explaining the problem with my toilet. Would definitely use this company again.

It was a very good service. The techs were fast at installing the faucets. I did have a small leak on one of the new faucets and they came back to repair it with no hassle.

It was a great experience. Tim arrived within the first 1/2 hour of the 2 hour time frame. He identified the problem quickly and repaired the sink. He also gave me information on a future project that we are considering. I would highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and will use them again.

It went ok, except the first faucet was faulty, the stem was leaking, but they came back soon to replace it. All appears ok now. They were easy to work with and responded quickly. The technician was real nice and responded to my requests and questions.

The technician came out and unclogged my sink. He was very professional, explained what he did to unclog it and how to prevent it from happening in the future. He arrived in a timely fashion and had it unclogged quickly.

I have used Ben Franklin Plumbing for more than seven years with good results. In my former residence, he repaired a kitchen sink - on more than one occasion, installed a vanity/sink in a bath, installed a toilet, and diagnosed issues with pipes in my century-old home. All with a smile, and sometimes after hours. He was always prompt and gave great advice. I bought a new house, and called to see if Tim's service area included the new address. He said yes, and we scheduled a day where he would come after he finished another job, and gave me a time window. I took the day off from work. When he didn't show, I waited gave him another hour and then called. We had to reschedule because there was a scheduling problem. When he came for the rescheduled date, Tim did a diagnostic, gave us a quote ($1200-1400), and we set up a time for him to do the work. Again, I had to call when he didn't show up, and he came over right away - another scheduling issue. Third and fourth times he came - to install the bathtub, we decided to settle up at the end of the last day of all work upto date although there was more work that he'd said he'd do. His final price was almost $400 more than the upper end of his quote. There were still some gas pipes to install but he said he'd come back for that. It would be an additional cost beyond what work was already done. It was a big jump in price but I trusted Tim. He'd never steered me wrong, and was sure he must have run into work much harder than he anticipated. Another disappointment, his work with the last jobs was such poor quality. The plumbing fixtures not aligned and twisted, and found that they leaked as soon as I took the first shower. Then I found a chip in the new tub near the drain from installation that had been covered up but only discovered after we'd used the tub several times. The insulation I'd asked to be installed behind the bath panels - that he agreed to install - was not put installed. I had to have someone else add the insulation, redo the plumbing, and align the fixtures as best they could - holes already made in the panels could not be redrilled. Then they installed and ATTACHED the surround panels which were never attached by Ben Franklin. I will not work with Ben Franklin Plumbing again. Tim was a big disappointment. I also see that they've updated their service area to NOT include my new neighborhood. Hm!?

Next day was here to install the new one...very helpful, cared, and coordinated perfectly.

It went really well. They were able to come out within a few days. I contacted them at a busy time, when they were taking alot of calls regarding flooding problems due to the many heavy rains recently. All went well, except for forgetting to fix the toilet which I chose to just let go, I wasn't charged for that repair. I was able to add a wedge on my own. I am confident if I would have reported this to the provider they would have taken care of it.

Once again, Benjamin Franklin was on spot when we needed them. Older washer failed and a new one was ordered/delivered. New washer needed longer hose that standard and attempted to connect new/longer hose but could not safely disconnect old hot water connect due to extreme faucet connect corrosion. Scheduled Benjamin Franklin for next day and they confirmed appointment window, called ahead of coming, installed both "longer" hoses and we are happily enjoying our new washer. This company is always responsive and thorough. Communications are great, responsiveness is great and service is superb.

Went very well, the technician was friendly and explained what he was doing very well. Both repairs were done quickly.

See above statement. We hired another plumber who came within one hour. He resolved our problem in less than an hour, at their normal rate plus std $50 call fee.

The initial call for service in the morning was answered very cordially and I was told that a plumber would be out between 2 and 4. At 2:45 I got a call from a pleasant-sounding gentleman who said that he would be there shortly. He arrived a few minutes later, proceeded to ask about the problem, which I described and he promptly diagnosed, telling me different options for service and what might happen in the worst-case scenario. He ended up replacing a 60-year-old rotting metal pipe under my sink with new PVC and an trap system that was up to code. He had to make one trip to the hardware store, which was quick, and he worked efficiently with a minimum of mess. The cost turned out to be surprisingly low. The only complaint I had is that after he left I went down to the basement and found that there was a bit of mess around the drain pipe from my washing machine, which had backed up temporarily as a result of his repair, but I don't think he saw it, and I suspect if he had he would have reported it and helped clean it up. Overall I am very happy with Ben Franklin Plumbers and would recommend and use them again.

It was an insurance claim. They were very prompt. They advertise emergency service and when water is draining down your wall, you definitely want them to come quickly and they did. I think their price is high but in that situation, you just pay what you need to pay. We haven’t had any more problems since. We don’t have many people that would come out this far so I probably would use them again.

I had a leak in the ceiling between the first and second floors directly below a bathroom. It was a problem that had developed over time and a small dam of water had developed between the floors. The copper pipe connecting to the vents for waste and water was full of holes and had to be replaced. They worked quickly, completed the repair in "one day", and cleaned up. At last the source of those horrible odors has been found! The reduction in the cost of buying disinfectants and air fresheners will save me a fortune!

We bought a house to discover a leaking water heater a week later. Difficult warranty company to deal with, but Benjamin Franklin was excellent and assisted us in any way possible! They called and spoke with the warranty company but also made sure the current water heater was no longer under manufacturer warranty (it was not). They came when they said, were respectful and did a great job. Thank you!
