Description of Work: I called provider to repair my kitchen faucet. When the plumber arrived, he looked at the faucet and determined that it just needed to be tightened. When he tightened it he snapped the center post, thereby rendering it unrepairable without a replacement post. At this point, he became defensive, emphasizing that he hadn't used too much force. More irritating to me was that he started saying things like "This stuff is junk" and "we won't even buy this stuff" in regards to my faucet (a Price-Pfizer brand set). Even if the spigot was "junk", which it hasn't been for the last 8 years, how unprofessional for him to say that! To make things worse, he referred to me as "Dear" in a condescending tone. Needless to say, I didn't call them back to install the new part for me when it came in; I installed it myself without issue. |

Description of Work: Replaced a cast iron pipe from the second floor to the first floor.

Description of Work: Replaced the faucets for two bathroom sinks. The work was somewhat difficult because of the cramped space, but the results were good and the time it took was quite reasonable.

Description of Work: They replaced an outside water spicket which was stripped, installed a new garbage disposal and faucet in my kitchen and, put in a new bowl and faucets in my bathroom.

Description of Work: They repaired my leaky bathtub faucet, altho there seems to be a leak somewhere, as it wet in the basement after a shower. When attempting to fix the leaky vanity the faucet couldn't be repaired and needed replaced, I wasn't prepared so they used one from their truck. He also replaced the washer in the kitchen faucet that they had installed 3 years ago, it no longer leaks at the base of the faucet, but it doesn't shut off well. I did not receive an itemized bill so I'm not sure what the break down is.

Description of Work: We had a new, 55 gal. hot water tank installed 6 years ago by another company. We have had several problems with the electronic igniter on the unit. Tim, from Benjamin Franklin, came out and assessed the problem. Found out that the part was still under warranty. Part was difficult to find, but Tim found one in Cleveland and had it shipped. Within 5 days he was back and installed it. No charge for the part (since under warranty), and simply charged the service call for his time. A few months later, same problem. Tim came out. Found out that the igniter has some residue on the tip and simply needed cleaned off. Tim took care of it - no charge! Outstanding service, very helpful, very trustworthy, very reasonable!

Description of Work: Very responsive and right on time. Work quality is ok. However, price seems to be high-almost same or little bit more like Lowes or Home Depot. In addition, service charge of $49 which is baseless. Waived if you are Angie's List member. Lowes or Home Depot charges seem reasonable and no additional charges like service charges etc.

Description of Work: Great Experience. We live in an area that has a lot of iron in the water. We have filters and all of that but the gunk in our water heater needs to be flushed out a couple of times a year. We have done this exercise dozens of times with no problems. There were several things that contributed to what happened next but the main culprit was that we had a backup generator installed and put the electric water heater on it. I dutifully flipped the breaker on the main box totally forgetting that the electrician had transferred the breaker to the new "standby" box for the generator. I then drained the water heater while the elements were exposed to no water with the power on totally frying one element. Benjamin Franklin answered the phone at 7:00pm and by 8:30 they had arrived and replaced the top heating element. There was no added expense for coming out after "business hours". The gentlemen fixed it promptly, was nice and could have charged much more for replacing the lower element but he didn't. Impressed. Will definately use them again

Description of Work: They diagnosed a bathroom leak and fixed the issue by replacing the faucet and shower head.

Description of Work: The wall toilet had fallen off the wall and the tank on the top broke. They had to replace the top tand and put the bottom tank back on the wall, which was not an easy job. They are quite heavy. and also had to put a sealent on the bottom tank. They also fixed the toilet in our other bathroom because ot was leaking. He had to take it off the wall and put a new sealent onthe back of it. David Tayler did a great job. We was very pleased with the service
