+ 0 moreJoe was very responsive from first contact. I left him a voice-mail and sent an e-mail and received responses to both within 24 hours. After reviewing the two areas of concern. he provided a clear explanation of what they recommended be done and how they would do it. Although he said they were busy and it may be a few weeks, depending on the weather, the work was completed within one week of signing their proposal. I did obtain other proposals. Even though Integrity was the highest cost, they were the only one willing to raise the slabs without drilling and pumping. The concrete is integrally colored and has a stamped pattern so I really did not want to see the filled holes, which tend to show more and more over the years.
Description of Work: Raised four concrete walk slabs and cut one control joint in order to provide proper drainage slope away from house and deck and to provide even step heights at both locations.

I should have done it while I still lived there so I could have enjoyed the smooth ride up and down the drive! Joe and his family are hard working FIRST CLASS people! Once I have a buyer for the house, I plan to have Joe back to level the sidewalk as well.

I contacted him on 7/19 at about 12:30 p.m.; he returned my call at 3:00 and at 8:30 that night, was at my house to provide me with an estimate. The work was completed on Monday, the 22nd, and is done perfectly. The area where the work was done was cleaned up, and in fact it was hard for me to tell where the work had been done. I would absolutely use this contractor again, as in speaking with him, I found out that his company does things other than just concrete leveling.

+ -1 moreFrom start to finish, it was a pleasure to deal with Joe (the owner). He communicates well. He is very likeable. He is easy to talk to. He was prompt. His pricing is good. He and his son leveled a sidewalk block. He tuckpointed my rear steps. He also did a very nice job improving the area around those steps (smoothing and refinishing some concrete and a window casing). In doing so, he exceeded my expectations. That area of my house has never looked better. I strongly recommend using Integrity Contracting for this type of standard concrete project. My experience could not have any better. They did a great job.

Over the years the sidewalk leading to our front porch had settled approximately 7 inches, to the point where my mother-in-law could no longer enter our home by the front door. When I realized it had also become awkward for me to get up the front step, I knew it was time to get the problem corrected. I researched concrete leveling on Angie?s List, and based on outstanding reviews of Integrity Contracting Inc contacted Joe Schillero via email. I liked his method of lifting the blocks and filling in underneath, rather than drilling unsightly holes and mudjacking. I received a response from Joe the next morning, asking for photos of the project. Three hours after I sent the images, Joe called to discuss additional details about the project, and said he would come by later that afternoon to give a more accurate estimate. After analyzing our sidewalk, he said he and his sons could do the work that day, if we were willing. We agreed, and by 7:00pm that evening the work was done. From my first email inquiry to the completion of the work, the total time lapse was less than 30 hours! And the quality of the work was outstanding. Our sidewalk is as good as new. Integrity is not just the name of Joe?s company. It describes Joe?s character.

+ 0 moreI emailed this provider on a Sunday to ask for an estimate to repair my porch steps, composed of concrete slabs and brick, not expecting an answer until Monday but within 15 minutes received a reply! He said that he would come out within a few days to give me the estimate. On Monday, Joe came and gave me the estimate. He included in writing that the repair of crumbling brick on the steps would be guaranteed to pass the city inspection since it is now a violation. He gave me two options for part of the repair which I appreciated. I want to get 1 more estimate before deciding but based on the quick response, professionalism, and estimated price, I am expecting to choose this provider.
Description of Work: This provider answered my email 15 minutes after I sent it on a Sunday. He said that he would be out in a few days. The very next day, Monday, he came to do the estimate which seems reasonable. He offered two options for the repair which includes replacing the crumbling brick. I told him I had discovered the problem when the city did an inspection so without my asking him, he included wording on the estimate that guaranteed the repair would be done to pass the inspection. He was polite, friendly, and professional and asked me if I wanted to think it over so I felt comfortable telling him that I was getting one more estimate before deciding. The estimate seems reasonable.

+ -1 moreI called Integrity Contracting to inquire about having my walkway to the house leveled. I spoke with Joe who was very nice, knowledgeable, and had great energy. He came out in a couple of days to take a look and give me a quote. He came back the next day with his son and leveled five cement blocks. He also filled in a small crack in the steps. I liked his process in which he lifted the cement and placed limestone underneath instead of drilling holes through the concrete and mudjacking. Joe and his son were very professional and did a great job.

+ -1 moreHe & his 2 young workers came at appointed time in the morning. They sawed the concrete to separate the 5 squares from the front porch to the drive way. Then lifted each and put crushed limestone under each square. This brought the side walk in front of the porch up about 7" to where it should have been. They worked efficently for 3hours (as estimated) to complete the job on time. They cleaned up any mess with broom then blower. We were impressed with the job they did & hope to use them again with other jobs.
Description of Work: The man came to give an estimate, then returned in less than a week to preform side walk lifting.

+ -1 moreJoe quickly responded to my request for an estimate. And showed up on time. He and his son did an excellent job. They solidly filling underneath the slabs (finding a large chipmunk nest which they filled in). They raised the slabs so that now it is no longer difficult to get onto our porch. They also graded the walkway to allow rain to run off away from the house. The job took about 2 hours and they cleaned up the area very well. I am very happy with my safe, level walkway, and they even gave me $25 off their $425 price due to an Angie's List coupon.
Description of Work: Five slabs of the walkway leading to our front porch had sunk. I chose Integrity Contracting because instead of mudjacking, they lift each slab and manually fill in underneath with ground stone. We have had chipmunks digging under the walkway and I knew we needed to have their runs and nests filled in completely.

I was in the house the entire time and the men had no questions or comments. Finally, around 1:00, there was a knock on my door and Joe said the job was done and I gave him a check. Joe was extremely professional and very pleasant. He got right out here and gave us adetailed estimate and made it easy to get in touch with him when I had questions. When I explained my neighbor's fall and asked how soon he could do the work, he told me possibly the next day and then he did confirm the date with a phone call later that evening. I also believe his rates are extremely reasonable. Joe is really conscientious and quickly and efficiently makes estimates, stays in contact with you and arrives with his crew when he says he will. I HIGHLY recommend Joe Schillero, Jr. and his company Integrity Contracting Inc.
Description of Work: Joe Schillero, Jr. owner/operator of Integrity Contracting Inc. made repairs to our uneven public and service walks. Contact information is Integrity Contracting Inc, 5475 E. 135th Street, Garfield Hts. Ohio 44125, (216) 663-0670. Joe and his 2 sons leveled one block of our public sidewalk and lifted 2 blocks. They also leveled the front service walk where it joined the driveway. Where ever necessary, they removed the tree roots causing the problems. Last Monday, October 1, I learned that our neighbor had fallen and badly injured herself on an uneven sidewalk on a different part of our street. I wanted to be sure no one fell on our uneven sidewalk so i checked Angie's List and got 3 estimates. One was very low, Joe's estimate was in the middle and the highest estimate was $335 higher than Joe's. I called Integrity on Wednesday or Thursday and explained the problem and Joe came out on Friday when we were away and left a detailed estimate. On Monday the final bid came in for a lot more. I called Joe on Wednesday because I had a few questions one of which was how soon he could do the work. He said he might be able to come Thursday October 11, but would call me later Wednesday night between 8:00 and 9:00 and let me know for sure. He called during the the time period specified and said he could come Thursday, that is today. His sons would arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 to start the project and he would join them later. His very polite, hard working sons arrived at 9:50 AM. Joe joined them later and the job was completed at 1:00 They did a beautiful job and cleaned up everything afterwards and hauled away the roots and any other stuff left over from the job.

+ -1 moreOverall experience was fine except I don't know why this company was listed under the category of concrete leveling/mudjacking when thye don't do mudjacking and that is why I gave the grade as "C".
Description of Work: Called Integrity Concrete on 8/14/12 @ 5:00pm and I received a call back from Joe in 10 minutes.I explained that I was looking to get an estimate for having several driveway blocks leveled and pitched away from the foundation of our home.Joe said he would stop by in a couple of days with an estimate and evaluation of the work needed to be done.To my suprise I received another call from Joe a little later that same day and he said he already stopped by and looked at the work that would be needed to be done from the street. Joe said he was able to tell what was needed to be done even without getting out of his vehicle.Joe said I need to have a proceedure done called mudjackig or slab jacking and that his company does not do that kind of work.I got the impression that he just didn't want the job since their company name was on Angies List under the category of concrete leveling/mudjacking.

+ -1 moreI saw the flier for Integrity Contracting and looked them up on Angie's List. The reviews were great and I called them for an estimate. It just so happened that Joe and his sons Dan and Steve were outside my house working on my neighbor's sidewalk. I went out to talk to Joe about my needs and he gave me an estimate on leveling 4 slabs. I agreed. He asked if his crew could do the work immediately. I said yes. He and his sons moved all their tools right to my yard and began working on sawing through the slabs, prying them up with bars and backfilling with gravel. They even did an extra slab for free to get everything level. While his sons edged the grass along the sidewalk and continued filling in gaps with gravel, Joe had time to look at and give me an estimate on other tuckpointing jobs the city cited on the house. The whole job took about an hour and the sidewalk was clean and looked great. Joe applied the Angie's List discount and gave me my receipt with a written guarantee that his work would pass city inspection. Overall - it was a very good experience and I would highly recommend them for future work.

+ 0 moreNormally, companies have to drill holes in the concrete and fill with concreate, but here they actually lift the slabs up and put limestone up underneath. That?s not easy to do. You?ve got to slope it so that the water runs off, and then join it with the driveway, and then with the porch steps, as well. So they had two angles to pay attention to, in addition to raising it. That, to me, looked to be a little tough to do. They showed their expertise with that. They cut where the joints are, but they maintained the slabs?which are so heavy. It doesn?t wobble or move or anything. In my eyes they?re experts at this. You can't really tell that there's been any work done. Even I can only tell that the walkway has been raised. With raising the walkway to the front steps, before, I was having to hold on to the house to make it down because the drop from the step was so great. Now, the walk is now easy to get to with ease. This was really worth the money. A new walkway would have cost much much more.
Description of Work: They do amazing work! I have a walkway from my driveway to my front porch. It’s kind of long, and it started sinking over time so that it was uneven with the driveway. If you’re not careful walking, you can catch your toe on the driveway and fall flat on your face. They raised and leveled the walkway.

Description of Work: I live in Northern Summit County in North Hudson, 19 miles (less than half hour drive) away from Garfield Heights, in which this business is located. I need leveling services for my uneven walkway from entry to driveway (needs leveling the entire walkway). So, I contacted Integrity Contracting, because it listed that it serves Summit County and even Medina County. Medina County is farther away than my town. I was contacted promptly after I left my message. Joe indicated that he does not serve my area because "we don't go much out there".Well, needless to say, it was disappointing, because it seems that this business operates only in less than a 19 mile radius? I was looking forward to meet Joe to get the work done and my neighborhood is full of unleveled concrete driveways and walkways. It is too bad Joe prefers not to drive the 19 mile distance. In order to complete the report, I had to rate this business, but I can't really rate it at this stage. I tried to hit N/A, but it wouldn't let me. I don't understand why Angielist does this. For now it will just be a B, but this is just for the initial contact and the fact that they list my area, but don't really serve it.

+ -1 moreThe owner, Joe, and his boys did an outstanding job. They were punctual, professional, and thorough. They spent a lot of time removing the roots. Now I don't have to worry about anyone tripping on the walk up to the front door.
Description of Work: The sidewalk leading to fron steps had been lifted by the roots of a tree. The company lifted up each sidewalk section, chopped out the roots which had been responsible for the uneven walk, lowered and levelled the sections.

+ 0 moreJoe return my phone call promply and quoted the next day. He was very detailed on what he would do and how it compared to mudjacking. He had reservations about raising the two sections of driveway because of a curb that exceeded his saw diameter. He stated in his quote that he would do his best to raise the two driveway sections to my satisfaction and if he failed that there would be no charge. He arrived on time as promised and completed the grout removal and tuck pointing of the cracks in my brick front. It ended up that he could only raise a few sections of my walkway because of sprinkler system piping location. Joe told me who to call to complete my job because of the special circumstances and adjusted his invoice to reflect only the work performed. Joe is truly a professional and I would not hesitate calling him first on any work he could do.

+ -1 moreContacted the company for an estimate. Joe Schillero came out the same day to give an estimate. Explained the process he uses for leveling and how it compares to mudjacking. I am glad that he did, otherwise I may have had someone do mudjacking instead. Joe's leveling method, though slightly costly, is much much better then mudjacking. Came on time as promised and did a super-fantastic job. In fact, I am so pleased with his work that I can't stop looking at the walkway (that had sunk almost 9" over the years). It has totally changed the look of my front steps, walkway and porch. Looks like brand new. During the process, Joe inadvertently cut some of the wiring for outdoor landscaping. Instead of making excuses, he apologized for his mistake and arranged for his electrician to come out and fix it immediately. Though I paid the electrician ($60) for this repair, Joe more than made up for that by caulking the cracks in the drieway and front porch (a $75 value). Thanks, Joe! It was refreshing to finally meet a contractor who's not out there gouging his customers. Joe lives up to his company's name... INTEGRITY Contracting. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED.
