The scheduling went smoothly. I ended up calling the office back to ask if they install starter pipes since our home inspector had recommended having the existing one replaced due to corrosion. They confirmed that they do install those and that they would add that to their service orders. The technician showed up on time. He performed all the requested service thoroughly and professionally. The receipt which they left us itemized all the work that was done, including the amount of soot that was removed from the chimney. We were very pleased with the service and happy to know the state of our fireplace going into the winter season.

Set up an appointment and they showed up on time and provided a detailed quote of services that were needed. The cost was in the middle of other quotes we received. We ended up going with All Ohio Mortar as they were a little lower cost.

Had scheduled a chimney sweep with New Buck. They sent two men -- both were very professional and knowledgeable. The sweep appeared to be very thorough. Upon inspecting the crown, 3 cracks were found -- they applied a crown seal with a 15 year warranty. $139 for the sweep; $235 for the crown repair + tax. I would recommend them and will use them again.

I called New Buck for a quote and they were very nice and reasonable priced. The problem was they were really busy and so we had to wait a week for the service to be done on our two wood burning stoves . We set up the appointment for September 4 and the call taker said because they were busy; she could not say when they would arrive, but it would be between 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM and they would call 30 minutes before they arrived. My wife and I stayed home all day waiting for that call; that never came. At 4:00 I called New Buck and got a recording and left a message. A few minutes later I received a call telling me they forgot to put our work order out and they need to reschedule. The call taker informed me we will have to wait another week for them to come out and preform the cleaning service that was promised on today. I am not in to sitting around all day waiting for a company not to come out and do what they promised; then not show up or even try to reschedule an appointment for on the next morning. I cannot believe they wanted us to wait another week, because they forgot. I sure hope New Buck treat the other customers a little better and at least show up; treating people this way will open New Bucks schedule and then they will be able to show up.

We needed to have the fireplace and flue inspected on a house we were buying. Setting up the appointment was quick and easy. Workers arrived early, very fast and very efficient. They didn't leave any mess. I will definitely continue to use them to service our fireplace after we move in.

I could not believe how fast they arrived to my house in the country and took care of the problem. They are very professional.

I received an estimate for a new capstone and tuck pointing on our home chimney but the first fellow never came. I called New Buck, they gave me a lower estimate and performed the work very promptly. We sold the house and the inspection reported a small, hair-line crack in the capstone, New Buck returned and repaired such at no charge. A very good experience.

The company was prompt and professional in returning my call, and it was very easy to set up a convenient appointment for an estimate. The same applied to having the work done. New Buck did an outstanding job, both in the work on the chimney and in their helpfulness and cheerful attitude. I would use them again anytime I need chimney help!

New Buck did a great job from start to finish. They provided a cost free inspection and estimate. There was a fairly significant build up of creosote and it was recommended to perform a chain cleaning to break it up and remove. I was very pleased with the results. I think the technician was very fair and honest in his assessment of what was needed to make the chimney perfectly safe for use.

New Buck service technicians performed chimney repair work in November per a proposal they prepared based on a prior visit and inspection. We had a number of issues with scheduling and the quality of the work and missing work that need to be addressed: - It was agreed that the work would be done on Thurs Nov 8 arriving between 9-11am, and we arranged our schedule to be home at that time. When no one came, we called and were told that the work was scheduled for Fri Nov 9. When the invoice was received, it?s clear that the schedule was originally for the Thursday the 8th, but someone had crossed out the Thurs Nov 8 and wrote in the Fri Nov 9, but no one had taken the time to call us to confirm the date change. - Several bricks were spalling, and replaced with a patch that we presume was intended to match the existing brick. However the quality of the patch was poor. - The quality of the tuckpoint work was poor, with residue from mortar outside the mortar joints on the brick faces. It?s very visible as sloppy work from street level, and even more so when you look closely. After several phone calls over two months, New Buck did come back out to make that correction. - There were several areas within the brick mortar joints that have visible cracks, but no tuckpointing was done. In one area, the mortar was removed with a grinder, but not replaced. Again, New Buck did come back out to make most of those repairs. - The chimney crown has a number of cracks that were not initially addressed, but they did get repaired on the subsequent rework visit. It's disappointing that I had to make so many phone calls and follow ups to get them back out to fix their poor workmanship. I had to climb up onto the roof three times to inspect and photograph their work.

My chimney had many cracks and bulges and had to be repaired. Based on New Buck's recommendations, we decided to replace all of the brick from the ground up. The brick had to be special ordered. The job was scheduled to start on December 10. The brick did not arrive on time so the start was delayed. I was told that the material would be delivered on December 21. The truck came very early in the morning of December 14. (This may have been a mistake by the material supplier.) I told the driver to leave the material. The job was re-scheduled. You can not lay brick when it is freezing, so there were some delays due to weather. I had to leave town on January 11 for a 17 day trip. While I was gone, New Buck started the job. When I returned they had all of the old brick down and about two thirds of the new brick laid. There was more weather delay. Finally on January 29 and 30 they finished the job. Some of the old flue liners were damaged so New Buck recommended using a stainless steel pipe because it was more reliable and longer lasting than the clay flue liners. A new flue cap and ash door were included in the job. The clean up was very complete and they took away all of the remaining materials. The chimney looks great. I haven't used the fireplace yet, but I assume the chimney will work as required.

The liner was making noise at first, but they came back out to fix it.

We expected them to come and sweep the chimney and inspect the liner. Not only did they do that, but they also cleaned out our potbelly stove and also checked the flashing on the chimney (found an issue and fixed it at no extra charge). They did great work. This is the second time we've hired them, and we will do so again.

I purchased a fireplace insert with installation kit (included the steel lining tube & chimney cap) from a company in Michigan. The original plan was to install it myself but due to unforseen events and my busy schedule I decided to hire it out. I contacted several companies and few were willing to install an insert that was not purchased directly from them. I contacted New Buck Chimney and they were more than happy to come out and give me an estimate. They came out and looked at my insert and installation parts a couple days later. They also did an inspection on the Chimney and found that there were some cracked flue tiles. They recommended that I apply insulation around the steel tube lining due to the cracked tiles. They quoted me the installation of the insert and the additional insulation that was needed. I went ahead and scheduled the installation which would take place three weeks later. The guys from New Buck Chimney were punctual on the day of the installation. They were very friendly and the installation went smoothly and was completed in about two hours. They left the area around the chimney very clean and spent some time with my wife and I explaining how to properly operate the insert. I was very happy with their service and I'm currently enjoying the warm fires from my insert as well as the savings in heating costs (I've saved over $400 so far). :)
