When Mike came out to estimate the cost and repairs needed, he was the only one of three estimates who actually got up on the roof to assess the job. He was very professional, showed up on time, gave me explicit details of the work to be done, did it in a timely manner and I was very pleased. New Buck's cost was the about one quarter of the other estimates I received. The job was a simple repair compared to the other extensive repairs I was quoted from others and that did not need to be done. New Buck office personnel was extremely helpful and followed up with a phone call as well as a written note of appreciation after the job was completed. I highly recommend this Company and would certainly call upon their services in the future.

The estimator arrived on time and did thorough check of the chimney. He provided an estimate while on-site and reviewed it with me. His estimate was the lowest of the 3 companies I had out to look at the chimney problem.

We called to have the chimney inspected and cleaned and a cap placed on the chimney after two birds got into the house. After doing the inspection we were told that the liner was cracked and the fireplace was unsafe to use. He noted that at one time there was a fireplace insert and he showed me where the stones had been cut. He explained that the heat from the insert had caused the liner to crack. There were no birds nesting in the chimney at that time. We discussed options but have not had the work done yet due to budget constraints. They did cap the chimney to prevent birds from nesting again. The gentleman was very professional and took the time to answer all my questions. I would recommend their services to everyone and will be calling them back when the budget allows.

I was surprised when he told me he would be just taking my money to clean what turned out to be a rarely used fireplace. Just charged for the service call! Thank you and will use again (if we ever use the fireplace more than 2-3 times a year!)

We hired New Buck to help us with our inspection of our new house. They did find some damage and we were able to get a credit for repairs in time for closing.

I had called to have the chimney checked and cleaned for the first time in 12 years, even though I had hardly used it. They did not need to sweep it, and they were more than happy to check the roof and attic....even though the weather was frigid. They found a few problems and gave me an estimate. When I asked about paying them, they said no need, as they did not have to do any cleaning. I will definitely be calling them in the spring to come and do the repairs.

We were in the process of selling our house and needed the chimney cleaned and inspected as soon as possible. We called a couple highly rated chimney sweeps from Angie's List and New Buck was the first to come out. Repair to the crown of the chimney could not be completed due to the weather, but we received a quote of $129 for them to come back out when the weather was better. They were very polite and answered all of our questions. We felt very comfortable that the work would be completed to our satisfaction. I recommend them and would use them again!

The experience was excellent. Winter weather delayed the job by one day, but we got a sunny January day that allowed Mike to complete the work in just a few hours. Even though we waited several weeks from the estimate due to New Buck's busy schedule, they called on our original date to reschedule for the very next day. The finished look is great and we feel confident the chimney is weatherproofed and safe for many years to come!

We had a gas log fireplace which I've never liked - I'm a pyro that likes to MAKE FIRE! I'd long wanted to see if it could convert to wood burning and hired New Buck to inspect the fireplace as I thought it could, but wasn't about to risk it without expert advice. Mike came out and did a complete inspection and advised that yes, it was built to handle wood and left me an estimate for the work. I then booked an appointment which was several weeks later - they get busy in winter time. The appointed day came and... they called to say that the previous job was running way over and could they reschedule? I agreed and set up an appointment for the next morning. The conversion was made the next day and I'm happy. I need to buy a new grate for wood and will be makin' FIRE this weekend.

New house with old fireplace insert. Wanted info on a pellet stove and a complete cleaning of what was there. They uncovered some interesting things for me that I wouldn't have known otherwise. Friendly - didn't leave too big of mess and VERY punctual.

I plan to use them again in the spring to apply water proofing to the chimney bricks. The two men who came to my house and did the work were pleasant and professional. Overall, this was an excellent experience.
