We had a great experience using Frazier's from the first phone call. They were able to come out to provide an estimate quickly and were easy to get ahold of to discuss plans. They had us on the schedule within 2 weeks of signing the estimate. They came on the same day that they said they would. Frazier's cleaned out the beds, cut back trees and bushes, edged the beds and mulched. Our yard looks fantastic! Highly recommend this company!

After I bought the deal, Frazier's contacted me quickly. We planned a date for Adam to come see the space. On the agreed day, he was at least a half hour late so I called and had to leave a message. His wife called me back quickly and let me know that he was sick. I understand, but I should have received a call earlier that morning. We agreed on a new date. As irritated as I was about the missed appointment, I actually found Adam to be very personable and easy to work with. He understood my goals and concerns and came up with a nice plan. Unfortunately, he sent it to the wrong e-mail address, so I had to call again to ask about timing. He corrected his mistake and I received the plan right away. The 3D rendering was nothing special, maybe a step above getting a drawing. The quote was more than I was hoping for. It was over $5,000. I had a more complicated and larger space landscaped back in '08 by Oakland Nursery (expensive but good) and that was just $1,000 more. I'll have to shop around to see how Frazier's price compares to others. So overall, I liked working with Adam and I hope he can do some work out here at some point. I would just hope for no more mix-ups.

Purchased a deal ($49 for Landscape Evaluation with 3D Rendering) through Angie's list, and Frazier's made an appointment and came out to talk over yard plans with me. We got wires crossed a few times in the process, so I felt a little wary but willing to give benefit of the doubt. I was very excited about the ideas developed during the visit, then I heard nothing further from Frazier's. I'd pretty much given up, since there's no way I'd place an order for $16k worth (the rough verbal estimate) of work at a company that doesn't follow up to complete a paid-in-advance service. But on Nov 6 I decided to follow up just to see if I could at least get a refund, since I never received the 3D rendering I'd paid for. Got a response on Nov. 10 saying that they'd emailed me the plan in the first week of September, but it had been returned because the email address was incorrect. No other follow-up was attempted from their end, despite having my cell phone number, my address, and of course the option of sending a message via Angie's list.

Dear member, We had troubles with your communication since you first contacted us. The first time you contacted us through angles list, we asked for a contact number to reach you and setup an estimate. We did call you and did not receive a call back. Then a few weeks later we get an email on angies list that you have been waiting to hear for us for almost a month. As soon as you notified us we immediately contacted you for a second time to try and setup an estimate again. Once we did setup the initial estimate and consult, we designed and put a bid together for your outdoor patio and tear out. We sent the proposal to the email address you supplied to us. We do not usually call to follow up on proposals because we do not want the client to feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. We wait for the client to contact us with questions and or to schedule the work to be done. You notified us friday evening about not receiving it. We resent out the proposal again this week once we were back to the office. Im not sure why you would think that would reflect negligence on our part. There is not much else we can do, besides supply the estimate and send it to the email we were given. We did not know it was not the proper email address. for the second time now.

We found Frazier's to be professional and punctual, and we are very pleased with the end result. We had some delay due to weather, and were notified as soon as the weather was determined to have an impact on our plan. Communication was very good. After a major home renovation, our yard has needed an upgrade and even with this initial phase of our plan our curb appeal is much improved.

They don't trim the hedges only when we beg them , when they use their zero degree mower, they gouge out divites in the lawn. They will mow when it is wet and raining. When blowing the grass clippings away, they blow our mulch away as well. every week it is someone new, a new trainee every week. I have plastic edging that they mow over and break constantly. I have to replace the stakes for the ede work every week

Hi [Member Info Removed], We have a contract signed through your board that hired us to manage the property. We are not able to render services unless at a tenants request unless it is approved through your board, or part of the contract that was predetermined at the beginning of the season. However, once you flagged our employees down while they were mowing and apparently threatened to fire them without any authority (apparently) for not trimming the bushes or shrubs I immediately called your board to make sure there was no issue with the trimming or the mowing. They did not request a trimming nor did they have any issues with our mowing. In fact Jesse from your board said (everything is looking good!) Once I explained the situation to the board they agreed and allowed us to do an additional pruning. If you ever have an issue with the property again please take it up with the board, as it is the same process we have to follow. Please don't confuse our company with lack of service when the service policy and schedule was determined by your board. Also the mowing, yes there were marks in early spring from where the mowers turned. We had more rain fall from april-july than we have had in over a century. We also explained this to the board, which apparently had no issue with our mowing. They were very understanding and completely understood the situation due the amount of rainfall in those areas that stayed wet. We are always as careful as we possibly can. When it rains 3-5 days a week we have no choice but no mow around or even in the rain worst case. Obviously if we get grass clippings in the mulch beds a little mulch that will get blown out here and there looks ten times better than leaving grass clippings completely covering all of the mulch. Yes we do have new trainees frequently this year. As our company grows we need to hire new employees to keep up with our demand for service. New employees is a great thing and means our company is getting more business! Also I would like to add the fact that your neighboring condo association across the street hired us because of the quality of service we provided at your community to landscape and maintain theirs now as well.

The wood was to be delivered to my house between 8 - 9 am. I asked to be contacted should anything come up that would impact the delivery. At 9:15, I called and left a message with the company to ask what was going on. I did receive a call back at 9:30 and was told that they ?dropped the ball" and the wood was not ready. I cancelled my order and will take my business elsewhere.

Hey [Member name], When you called we were busy cutting and splitting the wood for you. When you called and ordered it you asked for it asap. We explained we still had to cut and split the wood for you because we were sold out. We only sell firewood in the winter usually once landscaping has stopped. We were splitting and cutting wood for a few hours for your order and you cancelled it on us when we said we were on our way. We apologize that the order was going to be an hour behind schedule but we did have employees come in on a saturday morning just to split wood for you.

The overall appearance of our yard is pleasing. The improvement is noticeable and we have received several compliments from neighbors. I would be happy to give Frazier's an overall A except for a few glitches concerning communication and supervision of the crew doing the work. Adam, the company's owner, is an easy guy to work with and eager to please. But he was here only part of the day. When we had some specific requests we weren't sure whom to turn to. When we made these requests, they didn't get carried out. We weren't sure who was "boss" in Adam's absence. He was trying to catch up on another job because the weather had been so bad, but without him the guys were on their own. The crew was very hard-working, and got an incredible amount of work done in just one day. They even stayed late in order to finish and they did a good job of cleanup. One problem, however, was that they didn't know their plants very well. Several hard-to-find perennials got ripped out along with the weeds.

Called to have an estimate for some spring yard cleanup, new mulch, and plant several bushes for privacy. They said they would be out Monday between 5 and 6, and would call 20 minute before arrival. I left work a little early to be sure I would be home by 5. The timeframe came and went and no show or call. I would think as a small business they would value and respect their potential customers time and be courteous to at least call if they could not make it. I will definitely not use them for anything and will for sure tell all about my experience with them.

[Member name removed], We completely agree. We had a crazy season this year and our company has grown by leaps and bounds this year. We tried to squeeze in your initial estimate as soon as possible due to your schedule and request for an estimate asap. Our schedule is very contingent an array of sources and clients throughout the day. Every now and again we get behind on our schedule and may have to reschedule an appointment. We apologize that it was such a big inconvenience for you and the fact that you did leave work early to accommodate our schedule and meeting with you.

I bought my home a little over a year ago and it was 15 years old then. Some of the landscaping was original to the home and at the end of it's life. Adam from Frazier and I walked the property and discussed what needed to go and what needed just some TLC. He estimated each one individually so I could decide what I wanted done. The spring clean up was completed in one day as promised. The beds look great, especially the pine trees which really need some TLC. Frazier also repaired my patio paver steps which were sinking and pulling away from the house causing moisture down to the foundation. That work took a couple more days but was awesome when done. All trash was picked up - I didn't have to do a thing. I'm already planning next years installment. Thanks to Adam and his team.

Our 8 year old small pond with a waterfall was losing a significant amount of water after the recent winter. We contacted Frazier's Landscaping to determine what was causing the leak. Adam Spencer indicated that this could be a lengthly process because they try to first eliminate the likely causes and see if they can quickly locate the leak. He initially determined that the problem was due to forsythia roots around the pond liner on the right side as well as a gap in the waterfall box that was causing the problem. After an unfortunate number of weather delays (rain, cold temperatures and snow), Adam was finally able to initially fix the problem by removing roots, replacing / caulking the screws on the top of the waterfall box and adjusting the liner on the right side. After we ran the waterfall, we continued to have the same amount of water leakage. This time the problem was that the pond liner on the left side was pushed down so that water was going under the liner. After that correction, the pond leak still continued but was much slower. After draining the waterfall box and inspecting all of the screws and caulking all of them, the pond no longer leaked. Adam also replaced the flagstone on the waterfall tiers and relayed the rocks around the pond. He also placed a flagstone on top of the waterfall box (something that we did not have previously). The pond now looks bigger and more beautiful than it was before.

Adam and his team did a fantastic job. My driveway looks great and the water flows away now. I could not have asked for a better landscaping company to work with. The entire team was very professional and responsive. Adam worked with my schedule to provide the quote and I had the total cost in my hand before he left. Adam and his team are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and provided me with the education I needed to feel good about the work. The work was done as scheduled and completed on time. I would highly recommend you talk to Adam for any of your landscaping needs. They are coming back to do additional work at my home. I have hired them to do the spring clean up, edging, and a section of lawn I want replaced. I have future plans for a new patio and plan to call Adam as well.

Adam is highly professional, well-spoken, and attentive to details. Best of all he is punctual and knows his craft. He arrived at the appointed time and took detailed notes. He was able to quickly estimate how long the work would take and put us on the schedule. He and his crew arrived on time and even completed the work ahead of schedule. They were professional and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Adam scheduled an appointment a day after the work was complete to walk through what they did and ensure we were completely satisfied. The house looked great once the work was completed and we'll be contacting Frazier's when we're ready to install fresh landscaping and a front patio. We'd asked Adam for some ideas on a new landscape design and a front patio and it was obvious he has good taste and knows what he is doing. Some of the ground cover I was interested in doesn't do well in our area or in the level of sunlight it would receive on the north side of our house and he was quick to point that out and suggest alternatives.
Description of Work: The home we'd just purchased had nice landscaping at one time but it was neglected and overgrown. Trees had been planted too close to the home and were endangering our foundation and the mulch beds surrounding the home needed regraded as they sloped toward the foundation after years of mulch build-up. We wanted a clean slate. Frazier's Landscape removed a decade of mulch from the beds that completely surround our home. They removed all overgrowth, bushes, trees, flowers and weeds. They graded the dirt away from the foundation then mulched the beds once again.

Adam and his 2 workers showed up 3 hours late and did not phone me or return my phone calls to let me know. He did not apologize when he arrived even though he knew I took the day off work to be there. When we did the final walk through I felt very rushed and the workers were already in the truck with it running. You should not put away your equipment until your customer agrees they are satisfied with the work. He did not bring seed and straw as he said he would. He said he would come back in 3-4 days to lay seed and straw for me. That was over 2 weeks ago. I did the seeding and straw myself, but now the weather has turned cold and I can only hope it will germinate. Basically Adam is the owner and takes the phone calls and he is not very dependable. He should hire someone to answer the phone or not take on so many projects. He cannot manage his work properly and he seems in a big rush to get your money and move on. He seemed very professional in our initial consultation, but he changed when it came time to do the work. I would have given him a better rating if he returned my calls and gave me some warning when there are changes in his schedule, but he just left me hanging.

Im not entirely sure where to start here. First, we did call you the day before we were scheduled specifically to "communicate" with you that we had excessive rain that delayed our schedule. You then informed us that you took the day off of work to be home while we were there. We completely understood that, so we happily kept you on your scheduled day and explained the situation to the client whose job was supposed to be completed the day before yours. They were more than understanding and willing to reschedule with us, in order to accommodate your needs. We also have NOTHING about applying grass seed or straw to your property in the contract you signed. This was never mentioned until we had already arrived to do the scope of work that was on the contract. We would be more than happy to send you a copy of the proposal if yours has been misplaced. We arrived the day we were scheduled and completed the job on time. Speaking of time, my employees sat in the truck and waited for OVER 45 minutes for you to pay us once the work was completed. You then stated the work looked great and you were happy. What has changed??? We are a small business and word of mouth is EVERYTHING to us, which is why we always strive to go above and beyond. For example, when you asked us to remove additional tree stumps upon our arrival, we happily added on the extra work at no cost to you. We have no problem doing extra work that has not been contracted, as long as we have the proper tools or equipment etc. We just don't carry materials with us (like grass seed or straw) that are not part of the work orders we have agreed upon. You gave us a D rating on our work quality and F on our responsiveness and punctuality. We were there when we were scheduled, and you said the work we performed looked great. There is obviously no more water damage (which was what you hired us to remedy) or we would have been informed, I'm sure. So if the work we performed was done correctly and we did call you prior to arrival, as well as show up the day we were scheduled, than why the bad review?? If you would like us to come out and put down some more grass seed and straw this spring we would be MORE THAN HAPPY TO. You simply just have to ask. We sincerely apologize if there was any miscommunication or misunderstanding. If you have any further questions or concerns please get in touch with us and we would love to come to a resolution to make sure you're happy. Your opinion really matters to us and we hope you give us the opportunity to work with you again. Best Regards, Adam

They did warn me that due to the demand this year, not all the wood was going to be dry, but everything burnded fine.

Adam was great coming out to the house, suggesting plans for the yard, and communicating - up until I gave him the 50% down payment. After a number of issues caused the work to be delayed for at least a month, they came out while the yard was heavily wet and tore up large sections of the yard with the trencher because of the soggy condition of the lawn. They also clipped my internet line during the trenching. After all the piping was laid, they did not have enough pipe or top soil to fill in the trenches and had to come back another time to finish. I probably had to call Adam 50 times before someone finally showed up weeks later to complete the filling in of the trenches, finish the piping, and put down some seed. After this time I was still not very satisfied with the results as there was no grading ever done and he said they would connect the pipe to a drain in the front so it could be completly buried and unexposed but this was never done. I called him numerous times and left at least three messages in a five week period and he wouldn't even call me back. When I finally did reach him (by calling from my work instead of cell-go figure) we set up a time for him to come look at the yard. Twice we set up times for us to meet at my house but he never came - he even claimed he came out and looked earlier in the day or some nonsense like that when I actually got him on the phone again (which, once again, was next to impossible). I seriously had to call him EVERYDAY. End result - it took two months to get the drainage system installed, huge swaths of my backyard were ruined by the trenching machine, the trenches were never graded after they were filled so it is either sunken in or a huge mound in those areas, and the pipe that was supposed to be completly run out to the sewer and unexposed is two feet short of the drain and sticking out of the ground. All of this was exacerbated by the complete lack of communication after I gave him money. Once I gave him the second half, after he promised to come back and clear up and remaining issues in the near future, I have not heard from him since despite a number of phone calls.

They transplanted some plants and planted new plants. We found out they did not plant them properly last summer. It took them about a month to come back out once we contacted them in July of last year. The way they planted them, even though we watered them like crazy, they weren't able to grow back. For them to come back out we had to pay them additional money.
Description of Work: They moved our plants around, built beds, they did cleanup

Dear member. I apologize if you were not happy with our services. Our company policy is always to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied while we are still there. Two weeks later we were contacted that the original contracted amount of soil used was not enough and you wanted the mulch beds to be taller. Which happens, we don't mind one bit. We then came out and added more topsoil and mulch to your beds, as well as replanted all Bush's and shrubs. We did all of this for only material cost as a way of going above and beyond we didnt charge for labor any or gas. We would love to be able to, but we can't do our work for free!

They only grind the top part of the stump and covered it with the debris. When we removed the debris - we found out that the stump is still there. We called them many times - but they did not come back to finish the job.

Hi [member name removed], We really enjoyed the opportunity to take down that huge maple you had in the back! I do apologize however, for the remaining portion of the stump that we missed. That stump was over 4 feet wide in some areas. When a stump is that big there is a pile of grindings over 2 foot tall once it is ground out. Every now and again a piece will get buried in all of the shavings. We did however come out on July 9th to grind out the remaining portion of the stump as we promised. We also kept in contact with you and your husband via 3 or 4 phone calls, keeping you updated as the weather kept us postponed. We always tell our customers before we do any tree removal, that it will be a few weeks before we come back to grind out the stump separately. Once you contacted us to tell us and told us there was a portion of the stump we missed, we were out there to grind it out for you 5 weeks after you contacted us. I do apologize again for the time you waited for us to get out to you.We did leave a note for you, since no one was home at the time. We really do appreciate the opportunity, and hope you will give us another shot in the future. Sincerely, Adam F. Spencer

GREAT! Adam came within 15 minutes of his call after a rain delay; did a great job of cleaning out over grown north bed of the house; moved and removed existing plants as I asked him and replanted same; planted arborvitaes as planned; mulched and edged. I will be calling this company to give me a quote on helping me clean and clear additional beds in late summer. They did a terrific job; were courteous and mindful of my yard.
Description of Work: cleaned out bed on the north side of our home. Graded the slope against the house in order to reduce the amount of moisture into our basement. Planted arborvitaes around an oil tank to hide tank.;
