Description of Work: Installed overhead lighting in the 4 bedrooms. Company was able to schedule and perform the service in 48hrs with the lowest estimate. The electric was never shutoff and the final product exceed or expectations. Great work!

Description of Work: Competent Electrical Services came out to my house to look at electrical work I needed done and then emailed me an estimate for the work the next day. The estimate included a charge for "a helper or 1st - 2nd year apprentice." When I replied that I did not want to pay for a ""helper or 1st - 2nd year apprentice," I never received a reply. Isn't it unprofessional, and discourteous, not to reply to an email sent by a prospective customer responding to an estimate?

Member. I apologize if I missed an email from you. I do get a lot of spam email so I may have accidently deleted you message. If you would have called and left me a message at the office I would have certainly returned your call. We charge $65 per hour for an electrician and $35 for a helper when required. Description of Work: This was overheating and connectors melting in a junction box we discovered on Saturday afternoon, the day after New Years. We called and Jim Merrit responded and came out that evening and spent 21/2 hours fixing the problem I had created 3 months ago when i rewired a ceiling fan myself. We can't say enough about his service, as he also fixed a problem he discovered in the in the main control panel another electrician had wired incorrectly. He is very professional - we will call him back in the summer for some outdoor effect lighting we plan to do on out deck.

THIS COMPANY PROVIDES EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS EXCEPTIONAL. JIM MERRITT AND STAFF WERE VERY PROMPT IN RETURNING PHONE CALLS AND IN DOING THE JOB IN A TIMELY FASHION. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM AGAIN AND HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THEM TO MY NEIGHBORS.
Description of Work: COMPETENT ELECTRICAL SERVICES INSTALLED/UPGRADED THE ELECTRICAL PANEL TO A 200A. THIS INCLUDED ALL THE NEW CIRCUITS AND PERMITS. THE COMPANY ALSO REPLACED THREE SECURITY FIXTURES, INSTALLED A 50A FOR A BASEMENT STOVE, REWIRED THE STOVE TO CODE, RECONNECTED A BASEMENT WALL AND FIXTURES, AND REPLACED TWO FAULTY SWITCHES AND THREE OUTLETS.
