Arrow Fence of Ohio LLC

I would and will recommend this company to any one who is looking for a fence. We priced close to 16 different companies before we chose Arrow based on their customer service. Cliff Workman showed up a few minutes earlier than we expected to get the measurements, he quoted a great price and showed up to do the work when they said they would. The young man who was on site finishing the work when I got home was pleasant, friendly, hardworking, and a perfectionist. This company went above an beyond our expectations and we will make sure that anyone and everyone in our circle of friends knows!

Left messages thru both the website and on the phone. Never heard back. Very frustrating. Don't care how busy you are, if you can't be bothered to return a message from a prospective customer, you must not be a serious business.

I reached out to three recommended contractors. We chose to contract with Arrow Roofing because their cost was lower than the other companies and we had personally seen some of their work in our neighborhood. The two guys who did the work were friendly, professional and skilled at the installation. They seemed to really love their job, too. I highly recommend them!

Fence looks great and Arrow installed it on time as scheduled. Very happy with their work and would hire again!

Cliff from Arrow Fence of Ohio responded quickly to my phone call and was out in a couple of days. His estimate was competitive and his Angie's List reviews were very good so I signed a contract. Since it was the end of the season (November-December) it took him a while to schedule us in (trying to fit in all his jobs before the weather turned). The gentleman who erected the fence was very competent and professional. I provided him a list of my requirements (space between pickets, height of fence around garbage cans) and he met them all. A satisfied customer.

Could not be happier or more satisfied with the product, the work, the price and the people. Arrow is great - highly recommend them! They were honest, answered all our questions and were more than accommodating when we asked for a change. Could not have gone better.

It was a very nice fence at a great price...so long as you don't mind horrible communication. After the initial quote visit, I wasn't contacted for almost a week. I had to call them to find out what was going on. Brian gave me a story about someone quitting and my file had been accidentally placed on the bottom of the pile. (Guys, customers don't want to hear about your work problems.) Brian said he had to come back out for more detailed measurements so we set an appointment time for the next week. Well, next week comes and no one shows up, so I call Brian. He had forgotten about the appointment! Very disappointing. He did contact Cliff, the owner, who adjusted his day and showed up an hour later to get the measurements. I was quoted around $4000 and an install time of 4-5 weeks out. On week 6 I still hadn't received a call about an install time. After I left a couple of messages (with no return call!) the 811 folks came by to identify my lines. Around a week later, they came out to install the posts. Unfortunately, they cut my cable line (fortunately, I don't have cable) when digging the post holes. I was told they would call the cable company to install a new line. They installed my fence the following week. The fence looks great. The install crew was great. I still haven't had my cable line fixed. It's been about 7 weeks since the install now. I left multiple messages with Brian and Cliff about this. Finally Cliff called me back, but hung up when I answered the phone. He called back a few minutes later and left a message that sounded like he doesn't feel it's their problem to fix my cable line. If you want a good fence at a great price then definitely use Arrow! Just don't have high expectations about promptness or adequate communication.

The initial quote which was done by the owner was great, he clearly has been building fences for years. He had all the right answers to my questions. It was surprising how many companies could not tell me the types of nails the use with cedar fences vs pressure treated. We were already into their busy season, so I believe it was about 4 weeks before work started which was understandable. The surprising thing was that one day when I got home from work they had just marked all the post holes, and unloaded all the lumber into my backyard with no notice or call. I had to call the owner to discuss some changes that needed to be made to the fence line, as well as some changes that they made on there own without discussing it with me. For a couple of days this is how things went, the crew would show up and do some work without calling me, they would do something I didn't like, and then I would have to call the owner in the evening to discuss the issues. Then I would have to try to talk to the crew before leaving for the work in the morning as well. This is pretty much how the rest of the project went despite my request to just have them call me on days they would be working at my house so I could stop home at lunch time. I was trying to save them for redoing an entries day work or wasting material. Toward the end of the fence build, I asked about the removal of my old fence around my pool, they had clearly forgotten about it. The did remove the fence, but by just cutting off the posts at the ground. I had wanted the entire post removed, but since they only charged me $350 for that piece of the project I didn't care too much as I didn't have to deal with hauling it away. I believe the project took about a week, or the course of two buisness weeks. The end result of the fence looked good, but I wish I would have thought to specify a 1x6 for the cap piece of wood that was used on the top of the fence as apparently Arrow Fence normally uses a 1x4. A 1x6 would have looked a little nice IMHO. Also, the double gate, which is the main gate I use, sagged within 3 months causing the two gates to rub in the middle. So, I installed a tension wire across each gate to keep things square and secure, and adjusted the hinges. Despite the previous struggles, my single biggest issue was that I received a final invoice that was $500 then what was quoted. The invoice included a copy of the original quote, but with certain parts of it whited out to make it appear like I had agreed to pay more. Fortunately I had copied the original quote. I called and spoke with the owner and he claimed that it was a mistake. Honest mistake....... maybe, but if so he should be much more careful about accidentally adding(padding) 15% onto an invoice.

The crew was incredibly efficient. They had the fence up in less than a week even though it was split by the 4th holiday. Very hard working crew. The only reason I rated a B on price was because I am cheap. But the quality and service makes it worth it.

The fence looks great and the price was very fair. They had to work in a small space between the houses and cleaned up everything very well. The Workman's were both very nice. The only slightly negative comment I would make is communication. I could not always reach them in a timely manner. And they did show up one day unannounced to build the fence. It couldn't be done that day, so it was a waste of their time.

We had a really good experience getting the fence, They put in our fence and that of our neighbor at the same time.

They did a little extra work from what I wanted and it looks fantastic. I like family-owned businesses when I can hire them and they are. I have nothing but positive things to say. It took them like a week and a half because they had to get the lumber and they had to build two gates for me, and of course it was right around the holidays there, and I think one of the guys was sick or something, so it took like a week-week and a half. It's a continuation of the fence they put in before. The only thing, when I got the bill, he had added something things that were added incorrectly, so the bill was $500 or $600 more than what they had given. We made changes along the way, like adding the little mini fence, like changing out the type of gate, instead of using regular wood, we changed to cedar. Cedar wood, I don't know anything about fences, but cedar wood is not as heavy as regular wood they use for the fence, that way, when it swings open and close, it's not as much weight to pull down on those hinges. I added two different types of locks on both the gates rather than just the lever pull. They were a certain type and I never got the exact, he got it from the same company that he liked, but to this day, I don't know what lock it was. There are some locks that you can lock from the inside and outside or you can just hit the lever and it opens up, whatever they gave me is what I got. I asked them and I never got a response back from them. It was just a tiny bump in the road. No big deal.

Very well overall. There were some details that I was not happy with initially, but they were redone to my satisfaction promptly and without complaint.

Went great! Cliff and his staff were super quick and professional! I had a few questions/issues afterwards and Cliff was quick to make everything right! I had paid half as a deposit, and Cliff wouldn't accept final payment until everything was made right. I'd definitely recommend Cliff and his business to anyone seeking to have a fence installed.

Project went well overall. Started and finished on schedule. Asked questions as project progressed to be sure the job was to my satisfaction. Workers were experienced and courteous. Owner was a little hard to reach at times. Overall very satisfied.

Wonderful! Cliff Workman and his team put up an amazing state of the art (solar powered) electric fence. It is as beautiful as it is effective. I live just off of a busy highway and I need a good fence - and now I have the best at a price that is perfect. When I first met with Cliff he was able to help me determine the best fence for me, rather then the most expensive I could afford. He was always communicative and kind and completed the job amazingly fast. I have since asked him for advice and help with other projects and I plan to keep him as my go to company. You will find him and his team very honest, transparent (nothing is hidden) and very professional. You will be doing yourself a great service by using his company.

Very, very well! Some weather delays were encountered but job was finished within the stated time frames. Ben and Kevin were professional in every sense of the word. They continually checked with me for accuracy on what I wanted. They had excellent suggestions and went above and beyond what I expected. Cliff Workman gave me a free estimate promptly and that proved to be on target for the entire job.

The project started out poorly due to miscommunication between Cliff and one of his foreman. Since one of the backyards backs up to a shopping center I wanted extra rock and cement poured around each post. The reason, water runs off of the back of the shopping center with three quarters of it entering into my back yard. The foreman forgot to add extra rock and concrete all together. Cliff immediately offered to remove the posts or asked me what Arrow could do in order to correct the mistake. After discussing the issues with Cliff, we decided to turn the picket fence into a Cap and Trim privacy fence. Cliff told me that the posts would be fine and hold up. With the cost of extra wood needed, I agreed to pay for the extra wood at cost, with Arrow absorbing any and all additional costs. The additional cost to me was $200 The fence was completed ahead of time with continuous positive responses from neighbors within my north end neighborhood. I like the idea of having a family owned locally based business performing work in central Ohio and would recommend Arrow to anyone. As I'm writing this review, Arrow is finishing another fencing project of mine and so far so good. I'll be writing another review when their finished.
