+ 0 moreThey did the inspection fine and found a bad expansion tank for my water heater and a problematic pressure reduction valve on my water line. They quoted a cost of $682 to replace both. I had the job done for $252 the same afternoon by my local plummer. Do you think the Service Pros were a LITTLE overpriced. I would never use them.

The workmen were nice, friendly, and worked hard. They did a good job. They were also clean and tidy. They were professional looking and left no mess behind.

+ -1 moreThe A/C had stopped working; the compressor was trying to kick in, but couldn't. I suspected the starter capacitor had gone, especially as it was 12 years old and the temp was in the upper 90s. ( they go more often when it is hot). The technician from Jacobs arrived as scheduled, and got straight to work. Amazingly I had guessed right! He had a replacement capacitor in his van, swopped out the old one, and the unit roared into life. He then checked the freon pressure; everything fine there, and, like the Lone Ranger, was gone leaving happy people behind! He didn't try to sell me a new unit, pull a face and say my 12 year old unit was dying, he fixed it up, check its vitals, said it was going just fine and charged me $189. (My first bill in 12 years with the unit).. These guys are good and honest.
Description of Work: The capacitor that helps kick the compressor motor into action needed replacing. A simple enough task, but I would rather a professional did it. A bit like extracting a tooth, anyone can knock a tooth out, but we'd all prefer he was a trained dentist!

+ -1 moreThe first guy came out promptly and discussed different options. The next upgrade was $1000 higher. We had the appt for the install but the first guy forgot to verify which option we wanted. So, the installer didn't have the correct equipment and parts. So, we had to reschedule two weeks later once they got the parts in. It was a miscommunication. The first guy called and apologized, the guy that set it up called and apologized. It all turned out good.
Description of Work: A whole house air cleaner was installed on our HVAC unit.

+ -1 moreIt was not an overall good experience. I don't feel that I got $200 worth of work done. I would not use this company again.
Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List deal $99 for $200 worth of plumbing. I scheduled the appointment and told them that I needed two water lines capped off, my refrigerator water line disconnected and the dishwasher water line disconnected They didn't show up on the scheduled date. I received a call and was told that they couldn't make it to my house until 5:00pm. I said that was okay and then they asked to change the appointment for the next day because 5:00 pm was late for them. The appointment was scheduled for the next day. I arrived at the house and saw the service truck outside the house. The appointment was at 4:00pm but the plumber didn't come inside until 4:15. He told me that he kept looking at the house next to mine waiting for someone to come home. He apparently had the wrong address. I showed the plumber the three items I needed done and was quoted a price of $400. What I received for $99 was two water lines capped off which took a total of 15 minutes. I later disconnected my refrigerator water line myself and it took 5 minutes.

The cost was higher than normal due to difficulty getting to the drain. Not their fault. The work was done quickly and I was given a report promptly upon completion of the job.Their people are knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. Kelly, the owner and the guy whose picture is on all their trucks, has serviced my home personally. He is very professional and takes great pride in his work and his business. Brenda, and others who answer the phone are super. They get you to the right resource quickly and help minimize the time needed to get the job done. I have recommended ServicePro to many friends and family and will continue to do so.

We had already done extensive research & provided the contractor who visited with a detailed internet print out of the specifications/unit we were interested in. He was very obviously only interested in the main airconditioning unit in the basement which he insisted on looking at, even though that wasn't the purpose of his visit, & it was clearly not in his comfort zone to service/replace an upstairs wall mounted airconditoning unit. I gave him copies of all the paperwork we had printed out about the unit we wanted installed. He said he would look into it & get back to us. To cut a long story short, we never heard from him again...
Description of Work: None - the company never followed through & never got back to us.

I was pleased with that The only negative I would offer is that it doesn't do any good to put shoe covers on your shoes to show you are trying not to track dirt in my home if you then don't take them off when you go into the yard to check the air conditioning unit outsite and then come back in the house. You might as well not bother with them.

+ -1 moreI didn’t have the problem with the work that they did but when I had the technician come out, he quoted me five hours for the repair. He told me that I would not have to pay for the parts because the parts were still under warranty. He told me that probably two technicians would have to come out. He did say that it could be cheaper if I called somebody else and that I could call and cancel if I didn’t need the service. They were the third company I had called and since it was going to be hot that weekend, I wanted to get the work done. The technicians that came out to the work only took a couple of hours but the price they quoted me was for five hours and that is what I had to pay. I didn’t have a problem with the service but they overcharged me. I didn’t like that. I had to pay $833 for the repair and $69 for the technician to come out. It was really expensive for two hours. If it had taken five hours like they said it would take, it would have been okay. I would have understood that but one person told me one thing and the other person told me something different. I was disappointed with that. I turned the unit on yesterday and so far, I haven’t had a problem, so they did good work. They also gave me a year’s warranty on the repair.

+ -1 moreExcellent experience from the initial site visit and quote from Jack to when Dave and Mike turned the system on.
Description of Work: We had to replace our upstairs HVAC system (inside and outside hardware). The old unit was located in our basement and the air handler (outside) was on far side of home. This entailed running all new duct work as a result of placing new system in the attic and new air handler on opposite side of home. Mike and Dave were exceptional. Prompt. Courteous. Knowledgeable. They took great care to keep work site clean. They also ensured I was educated on their progress an work throughout the entire multi-day project. I found them to be extremely flexible on schedule as well as adjusting to ad hoc changes in the project scope as well as the work site itself (as we had other contractors on site).
