He was good & professional, knew what to replace & what to do, but I don't know why he wasn't going to be giving me that discount. Overall though, they are very good & should be A+.

+ -1 moreI only wish the installation could have went smoother. It took two entire days instead of one. This was only because of the difficult task of fitting my new furnace in. It was much bigger than my old one. Mark did a Great Job of making it work. I only ha d one complaint about the exhaust pipe routing. Kelly came right out and assured me it would be fixed to my liking. I am very Happy with the Service Pros, and would reccomend them to anyone.
Description of Work: I was in need of a new furnace. I got three estimates and The Service Pros offered the best price for the money. I dealt with Kelly and he is great at what he does. He offered me four different furnaces and also 60 months interest free financing. This was a no brainer, especially with the 15 year parts and labor warranty. My new furnace is in and I am verry happy with it.

Description of Work: Offered a competitive price for an Amana Furnace.The problem was, they only offered this one furnace for my estimate. Very straight forward, the deal breaker was they only offered 12 month financing. I would have went with them if it wasn't for this. My current financial situation does not allow for a $350.00 furnace payment.

+ -1 moreThe scheduled cleaning and 16-point checkup was scheduled for approximately 10 days after I contacted The Service Pros. The furnace was older than Mack, the service technician who met the appointment. He was neat, and donned shoe covers==a good sign. All in all, he was efficient, checked out the thermostat and tank pressures, and left the furnace in better operating order than he found it. He spent about an hour on the premises.
Description of Work: Our gas furnace is original with the house, circa 1950 and heats water that is circulated through radiators in each room. The furnace had not been cleaned nor checked on by a professional for at least 3 years. The Service Pros were contacted through information on Angie's List

+ 1 moreLast fall started out bad. We have an unusual heating system. They brought in a couple of guys. Taught each other how to work the system. Fixed some bad parts. After a few weeks, we were finally back in service and smooth sailing for the rest of the winter season.
Description of Work: We bought their yearly plan a year ago. Which icludes a free furnace inspection in the fall, a/c inspection in the spring, and one plumbing inspection when you want it. In Sept we knew we needed work on the shower, so we had our plumbing and furnace inspection on the same day and it cut down on the cost. Then we ended up only paying for the parts need for the shower. Last year we moved into a 15 year old home and in the fall, we called Service Pros to solve our heating issues.

+ 1 moreGot an Angie's list big deal for sewer rodding with free sewer televising. Coincidentally the day before I saw the big deal on Angie's list our basement drain backed up which had happened a few times previously, fortunately with no damage. Made an appointment with The Service Pros. The day of the appointment someone from the company called and said that the guy was tied up on a job and would not be able to make it. Set appointment for the next day. Mike showed up on time and was very professional. They had covers on the wheels of their machine to keep dirt from getting on the floors which I thought was very professional also. Mike got the drain cleaned out and the backed up water down. Sent the television camera down into the sewer and showed my husband and I that there were tree roots causing the problem. He proceeded to advise us of a few options that we had that would alleviate the problem. Mike was very pleasant, courteous and professional. I would use their services in the future.

Description of Work: I had a stoppage in my kitchen sink drain. The service man removed the trap below the sink, ran a snake down the drain and cleared the problem. It was all done without creating a mess and completed very quickly. I was very happy with the service. My only complaint is that I paid Angie's list $99 for the service, supposedly a deal that would save me money, but Service Pro's was offering the same service for $93.

+ -1 moreSP ?come on? is they charge a $49 service fee that is waived if you agree to perform the work once the technician has looked at the job and prepared a fixed fee proposal. I found SP to be VERY expensive! $149 to repair the toilet and $250 to replace the faucet. Due to the fact that the toilet was leaking I allowed the Tech to perform the repair work. It took him 30 minutes to complete the repair. The work seems to be ok but the tech used a roll of my TP to wipe up the water he spilled on the floor while doing the work. He was too lazy to go out to his truck to get their rags! This is petty theft in my view and coupled with the price of SP services I will never use them again. After conversations regarding my dissatisfaction with the owner and the operations manager I came away with the impression it was ?all about the money?. The only thing they offered to do for me was a roll of TP and they would talk to the technician. All the response from SP proves is these guys have HIGH OVERHEAD costs that they pass on to you the customer. Their response is speciously self serving !
Description of Work: I saw ServicePros (SP) as an advertiser on Angie’s list. I scheduled them to come out to replace the guts of a Toto toilet (I had the parts) that was leaking and needed to be repaired as soon as possible. When the technician arrived I also asked him to give me a quote for replacing my kitchen faucet (again I had the new faucet).

+ -1 moreI called Service Pros, referenced the Angie's Deal, explained the services I would like and made an appointment for someone to come to my home (not sure of the date). The Service Pro showed up on time and I explained what I wanted and he figured up the amounts which were not in the $200 range. He did provide the adjustment to the outdoor faucet and spent a lot of time adjusting the shower mechanism so that the shower would provide cold water, an adjustment which never could be achieved by the plumber who installed the shower in 2001 and came back several times with no success. I feel like I had gotten more than my money's worth from his visit.
Description of Work: This was an Angie's Deal and my expectations were for a lot more than the amount I paid ($99 for $200 of plumbing services). I had a kitchen sink to be installed but that would have been a lot more than the $200. The service rep did fix a connection for an outdoor faucet so it stopped dripping and adjusted the bathroom shower so that I could get cold water (not as easy as it sounds - I've been living with little cold water from that shower for over ten years). He was very helpful, professional and good natured about my requests.

+ -1 moreMy 3-ton outdoor A/C unit failed. Coincidentally, there was an Angies List Big Deal for this firm to install a Trane, up to 3 ton A/C unit for a good price. I bought the coupon from Angies List facing an expiration date for the Big Deal coupon the next day. I was contacted promptly by the firm with a cheerful and helpful customer service person to schedule a visit to have my system surveyed by the owner. Unfortunately the weather was very hot, and even the survey could not be scheduled for several days due to the firm being so busy, so I told them I would take the tentative visit appointment, but I would be forced to solicit bids from others in an effort to find a competitive bid and better survey and delivery timing. I was able to find a competitive bid with a highly rated Angies List vendor and had my new A/C installed the next day. So the short story is that the deal was a good one, but they were too loaded for me to take advantage of the Big Deal. The good news is that I was able to find a competitive bid from an A-List highly rated competitor with a more timely outcome, and Angies List refunded my Big Deal coupon with no hassle.
Description of Work: No service performed. Purchased Angies List Big Deal Coupon but had to get it refunded and do business elsewhere due to the firm being too busy to meet my timing needs. I rate the experience "A" with a caveat - because there was an advertised Angies List Big Deal going on for the firm, but they could not make a timely response to my situation. It was a good deal, and the people seemed to want my business, but they had too much work going on - high class problem for them, but didn't work for me. I give them the benefit of the doubt in this case.

He asked me if we had any specific questions before he got started, and then went over the house from baseement to top floor to look at anything that involved water or gas. He spent over 90 minutes checking things out, explaining his concerns and how we could address them, and answering all my questions. At the end he wrote up some prices for recommended services. Great experience from start to finish. I will call them again with any future plumbing needs.

+ 1 moreThe repairman did an excellent job on the checks he performed. He allowed and encouraged me to stay with him during the inspection. He checked and drained the water heater. Then he checked the amp draw on the sump pump motor and checked for any problems. Then he went and checked all the plumming. He explained what he was doing in detail. I learned allot from the repairman and he was very honest. I do all of my own plumming and needed to find a company to perform repairs and I found one!
Description of Work: I purchased the Angies list special for Serivce Pros to check plumming, sump pump and check/drain water heater.

The guy told me my unit was on the verge of being an antique. He told me after servicing it that it was in good shape, and didn't try to upsell me on a new one.

+ -1 moreTechnician called to delay appointment about 3 hours before scheduled appointment- had a lame excuse. Service call and diagnostic seemed to go OK but two more still on contract so I am not finished with them. However, the technician had never installed one of their "free" T-stat so it took 2 hours and he had to call for help to complete the installation. This was unprofessional.
Description of Work: I received a promotional flyer in the mail. It offered a good deal for 3 service calls for "tune-up" of furnace and A/C and a special offer of installation of a programmable T-Stat for free. I contracted for service for 1 year. The service man did A/C diagnostic - everything OK but warned of reduced service life of compressor capacitor due to normal wear.
