We had several incidents with our ac which was only 8 years old. They would come out and do a quick repair but warned us it would have to be replaced. I can't remember exactly what we paid now, however, it was really reasonable. They replaced our entire ac unit in a quick efficient manner and exactly in the time frame provided. Because we had them out several times before, and they never charged more than $75.00, we knew we could trust them. They were professional and cost effective. We will ONLY use Jacob Bros. from now on.

Service tech arrived right on time and performed tune-up on furnace. Did a great job. Very professional. Their maintenance agreement is more expensive than the company I used before but I feel the quality of their service and their responsiveness is worth it. They have since returned on 3/21/13 to perform the spring tune up on the A/C. Again, right on time and thorough service. I will renew my service agreement when the time comes.

They did an okay job of checking things out but then they recommended some repairs. We thought that the deal included some of the repairs.

The Service Pros for heating, air conditioning and plumbing. We might have done a couple from them. They came out and did an air conditioning tune up and I don't remember if it was a tune up or an inspection. The guy was really nice, really professional, the only thing that I would say is that our air handler for the air conditioner is up in the attic and they didn't really want to go up in the attic. I don't know if that's normally included in the tune up or not. But that seemed like a little less thorough. For the air conditioner I think that was about two years ago. They did not charge any extra it was just the big deal coupon.

Jeff came out and evaluated my needs and was friendly and very professional. I will mention that not all companies are willing to pull permits, which can lead to shortcuts in work, but this company does. One tip that may help someone is if you live outside the city limits, be sure to tell that to the one who comes out initially, because he is the one that will pull the permit, and if you are outside the city limits, it needs to go to the county permit office. I have no basement/crawlspace, nor utility room. So, this was a re-do of an old 1985 attic installation, from before we moved here. Eventhough it was April, it still got horribly hot up in the attic, I'm so glad I didn't wait longer to get started. These 2 men came about 9am and stayed nearly 12 hours. They worked really hard and had the best attitudes and willingness to please and work with me on things that were important to me. They were one of the few companies that followed thru to give me an estimate, -they did not lose interest in my business when they found out I didn't want the most expensive unit available. I can't express enough how hard working, polite and eager to please they were, even working in a hot attic, which had to be difficult!

Technician arrived, did the work, and left. Was polite, professional, and got job done, but was not overly engaging. The service was not what I'd call exceptional, but good. I'm only writing this review since I get a reminder to write one every time I log on to Angie's List.

When I made my first contact the response and scheduling was immediate. The service repersentative was punctual and explained the service provided. All individuals were very professional. I would definetky use them again.

They were responsive and professional they just didn't service my area.

The blade pulled up some very fine tree roots, but got stopped by some sort of disruption, which the plumber said was probably a slipped connection, typically a "fernco" between the old original line and the newer PVC, or it could be a broken pipe. Either one would also allow the roots to get in. Since she'd only gotten several feet in, the plumber didn't charge me extra to try it a second time. Same result. At this point she said any cleaning attempts beyond that would be an additional service costing hundreds more. However, it seemed what was causing the clogs, and preventing further cleaning, was a disruption requiring repair instead. She then tried the camera scope, but because the problem area was submerged, and the camera cannot see through wastewater, this part didn't help much in my case. I suggested vacuuming out the water with my shop vac, and she kindly agreed, so I duct-taped a narrow hose to my shop-vac and she did manage to vacuum quite a bit of water out. Still, however, it was not enough to get a view of the problem. But based on the area she could see, and what she could feel, and the length of camera used, she was able to show me roughly where the problem was under the floor, so I'll know just where to break concrete to find the problem before repairing or having it repaired. Also, even though a full cleaning was impossible under the circumstances, this cleaning a week ago has prevented any major backups so far. Bottom line, a skilled plumber gave two hours of her time and expertise for only $88. Actual repairs are beyond the scope of this deal, but she gave me the diagnostic help I needed. Besides which, she did the best cleaning she could under the circumstances. And she did so patiently, politely and professionally. Their goal in this deal is obviously repeat business, and if I do need help again I will certainly call them first. (And I say this regardless of the fact that they gave me a card good for a free future service call.)

When they came to do the work, they said they only did a certain type of replacement on this deal – not what I needed & that that have to charge me an additional $98. I declined, felt I was mislead, & contacted Angie's List for a refund. On the Big Deal they really should have made more clear exactly what I was purchasing - thus the low grade.

While the tech was here we discovered that there was a problem with the compressor unit outside. It was an electrical issue. He was able to quickly get me a quote and repair the problem. The technician was professional, polite, friendly and knowledgable. I thought he did a good job and I was very pleased with the repair. He offered advice on how to maintain the unit as well. I would recommend them.

It was worth the 49 dollars. It gave us feedback and information. It was a good deal. It wasn't a bad experience. They did point out all the things we had to fix. I don't think he gave us the list. I think he wrote it all down, verbally talked about it and left. He was being paid to inspect all this and give feedback and he did do the service that he was being paid for. He wasn't happy. He went to his truck just complaining on the telephone.

The tech arrived on time and was professional. He spent 30 to 40 minutes on the furnace and then went over a check list of items he had inspected or taken readings on. He told me the system looked fine but needed a new filter (which we replaced) and that the blower wheel needed cleaned. I questioned why cleaning the blower wheel wasn't part of servicing a furnace for winter as this had been done by another company in previous years. He explained this was not included in the deal. He did not offer to clean it for an additional fee either so I'm not sure what he thought a home owner was supposed to do about it. A day or so later someone from the company called to inquire how I liked the service When I explained the blower wheel question he apologized for any misunderstanding but reiterated it was not included . I noticed the invoice called it a "heating check" which now makes me think they were looking for furnace repair jobs. Next time I'll know better.

It went very well. The plumber was very knowledgeable and professional. He arrived on time and told us what he would be doing and how long it would take. The new hose bibb works flawlessly.
