When they first installed my system they were very professional and punctual. I used one of the Andies Lists big deals and got the system at a bargain. I would highly recommend them for this service. When they came out to clean and service my system they did a great job. One snafu was that they brought the wrong size filter. Rather than have me wait they had someone run out the correct size filter while the service man was there so no waiting or return trips were needed. I would highly recommend them and they will continue to have my business.
Description of Work: They came to clean and install a new filter in my April Air system. They are the one s that I purchased the system from.

The technician showed up on time and was very courteous and professional. He immediately went about his work and gave me tips on keeping the door lubricated and rolling smoothly. I thought the price was very fair and I would definitely recommend Cincinnati Door & Opener to others.

I received a phone call from the "dispatcher" to verify I was home and was told the plumber would be dispatched. Two hours later, still no plumber so I called and a different dispatcher apologized profusely and told me there was a technical glitch in the tech/plumber getting the email to report to my house. I waited another hour and 45 minutes....still no plumber! After another call to dispatch, and another apology, the plumber called me and also profusely apologized. At this time we decided because he lived almost an hour away, we rescheduled the next day. He was prompt, even early. Upon arrival, I was then told that the camera was broken and they would have to come back another day to actually do the camera work on my line. I will say that the dispatcher was very pleasant and as I said, profusely apologized. She stated it was a technical issue with the plumber getting the email that he had a job for the day. The plumber, when he arrived, was also apologetic and said that two companies had just merged and there were issues with the communications system.. When I asked why he would not have known the night before that a job had been scheduled, he said that the techs (plumbers) were supposed to be notified the night before but he was not. He had also been "in" on the day of the job and was sent home early! When I asked the dispatcher about how they notified a plumber of a job, I suggested maybe they should make sure "they" hear back from the plumber when an email is sent to verify it was received. I am waiting to hear back for the camera work on my line!
Description of Work: I booked a sewer rodding and video/camera visualization. I bought it months ago and scheduled it approx 7 days before the date of service.

There was a cancellation, so vendor was able to fit me in on the day I called for service. I was given a range of times to expect the service technician, and then I received a call within that window that the technician was on the way. He was knowledgable and skilled, at least to my eye. He stocked Honeywell replacement thermostats, so I was limited to that choice. This is the one area I was disappointed. I had researced thermostats, and found several highly-rated ones in Consumer Reports that were in the $70 range. The ones stocked in the Jacob truck cost between $250 and $290, I think. I wanted a programmable one, so elected to buy the one in the higher range. I just wish there were more options available. And when I checked Amazon after the service was over, I found a price of about $52. So...though I agreed to the product and had it installed, I think the charge for the product stocked in the truck was extremely high. Next time I need HVAC service, I'll look elsewhere.

I purchased the outdoor faucet replacement Big Deal a few months ago, and was waiting for clear/dry weather before scheduling the actual work. A few days before I called to schedule the faucet replacement, my kitchen sink clogged up. After using about 4 bottles of liquid drain cleaner to unclog the drain didn't work, I called to schedule a drain clearing at the same time that the outdoor faucet would be replaced. Sarah, the plumber, arrived at the scheduled service time (she called about 30 mins prior to arrival to let me know when she would be there). She was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. She asked several questions about my clogged drain to try to determine the exact problem before she started removing any pipes, etc. She then explained a few different scenarios as to what my problem might be, and how it could be corrected. She also provided me with the details concerning the cost for each of the different types of sevices that could or might be needed to unclog my drain. Sarah said she would try to least expensive procedure first (running a small snake through the piping under my sink), which I appreciated, as I felt that she was more concerned about fixing my clogged drain, rather than just charging me for services that I didn't need. As it turned out, I ended up needing the more expensive service (running a larger snake through the drain vent on the roof of the house) in order to clear my clogged drain, but because Sarah had taken the time to explain the process to me from the beginning, I knew that I was getting my clogged drain issue resolved without being "ripped off". Sarah then looked at the outdoor faucet I needed to have replaced as part of the Big Deal I had purchased on Angie's List. The work was completed in a short period of time, and the faucet is now working as expected, and without leaks. Overall, I am very pleased with the plumbing work that was performed by Sarah/Service Pros. I would definitely use them again, and would recommned them to my friends and family.

Our hose pipe was leaking - badly - inside the basement. I bought an Angie's List coupon to repair an outdoor hose. I was a little worried they would say that because the pipe leaking was inside, it wouldn't count - but he didn't. He just fixed it. Came out on time, let me know when coming.

I was very happy with the inspection. We had just moved into our house so it was nice having someone come out and check everything and explain a few additional things that our home inspector didn't cover. They were very professional and patient as we followed them and asked them to explain what they were doing. They actually found a problem with our bathroom sink that the home inspector didn't catch - improper drain hook-up for a double sink. Since I bought the plumbing inspection deal in 2011, we have had the Service Pros come out every year to check our home plumbing and hot water heater. Along with our yearly inspection they have also performed a few other plumbing repairs and a toilet installation. They have always done a great job.

I like them very much and I've used them twice so far. They have some kind of a plan that they went by and I paid a one-time fee and there's some kind of points that they use, if you ever need any furnace of air conditioner service and they or it goes to warranty you the premium of payment of whatever parts you need. They were very thorough and I just got a feeling that they were a good company, unlike other companies you just don't know that.
Description of Work: I used True Energy Smart Air. It's probably March when they came out to do the service on the AC. It was $179, that was for the furnace and the AC, that was for both, like when they came out in March, it didn't cost me a dime.

I've been using the Service Pros for 2 years now. I do pay monthly for their service package that includes a furnace/AC checkup every spring and fall and also annual plumbing inspection. Have always found them to be extremely professional, courteous, and punctual. Would recommend them to any friend or family member with no hesitation.

The technician who came was excellent.

They were prompt. They did tell me that my A/C unit was not working well. They changed one part. I ended up getting a second opinion. That company told me my unit would be okay for a few more years.

The [member name removed] residence had no cooling when they contacted our office. Our technician diagnosed a bad capacitor and replaced it. He then ran the system to make sure it was working properly. He noted on his invoice that the compressor was pulling higher amperage than what is called for on the equipment rating plate. The compressor was also loud on start up. He brought this to their attention. According to the [member name removed] their home was built in 1999 and this is the original system. The national average life of a cooling system is between 10 and 12 years. Given the age he suggested that they consider replacing their system. Did the other company take the compressor readings or just confirm that the system was working? We don’t know. I suspect not. We try to look at what is in the customer’s best interest and let them decide. We want these systems to last as long as possible but you reach a point where you want to be proactive and replace it before it completely dies. No one can say how long a system will last. All we can go by is the information we gather while we are there. It’s kind of like a bald tire. You could argue that the tire is fine because it is still round. Do you wait until it blows out on the highway, or replace it before hand?

Overall very professional serviceman. Tried to be responsive to the information given him. However he did not seem very confident in knowing his expertise. Cut multiple holes in the basement wall and celing for access to the pipes indoors before realizing he should have started at the wall directly opposite of the outside placement of the faucet. Now I have to patch all the sheetrock in multiple areas. New faucet is quality piping, but seems a bit wiggly which I hope when I replace the insulation and repair the wall inside will become more stable. love the lever style handle and copper piping. Great price, great installation, poor prep for the job, lots of homeowner follow up work left to be done.

Appt was booked far enough in the future that I could have completely forgotten it, however they kept me informed and on the day of service they were punctual, helpful and friendly. The stuff they do is expensive, but I think that's because they provide a high level of quality and professionalism. They will work with you though, and they make you feel like a valued customer all the while.

Sarah arrived within 2 1/2 hours of when I called. She was pleasant and looked at the problem. Immediately it was clear that a pipe had come loose. All the water in my house, both in and out, is oddly configured. she added a small length of PVC, showed me what she did and explained how this had happened. The whole process took only about 1/2 hour. so i asked her about a missing handle on an outside faucet and she gave me an on-the-spot estimate for repairs which will have to wait until next year. She cleaned up after herself and cautioned me to call if the problem reappeared.

She put the camera around 50 or so feet and I felt satisfied that I have no issues. Even though I did pay for a sewer cleaning, there was nothing for them to clean, so I was happy with what they did. This was the first time I'd used this provider. I would say they were good. The woman who came out was very professional. She knew what she was talking about. She could accept as many jokes as you could possibly make about slumming cameras into sewer lines. I could imagine that some clients are probably not happy because it said PET television something and routing of your line. But since the line is completely clear, there's nothing to route. I didn't want her to bring her machinery in and do it. Why would I? I gather, having read some of the reviews, that some people were upset with that. I was much more upset with some of the other guys that I purchased through Angie's List. This one company was fine. They were professional. They phoned. They came when they said they would. They did what they said they would do, too. That's what service providers are all about.
Description of Work: I used a big deal for The Service Pros. They put a camera into the sewage system of my home. We then watched the television to watch a camera being slid through a large tube. Basically, you could see if there were any problems or anything in the sewer. There were no problems, so there was no reason for her to route anything.

A guy came out and looked at things and said there was nothing that he could fix that needed to be replaced and gave my husband a catalog and said to call him when we're ready and they'd come out for the visit. I called them and arranged and I think it was Josh who came out May 21st and that was very unsatisfactory. They were here 2 1/2 hours max. All the things that he put in were things I have purchased at Home Depot previously and I had them here ready. He said it's one price for each thing separately no matter how long each one takes. I was kind of stunned when it only took 2 1/2 hours and all 3 things were done and it came to that much money. When I figured it out afterwards, it was like "Oh my God, I paid $400 an hour for service", I just can't imagine that. It freaked me out. Intitially I thought was that with the new garbage disposal, there is a separate quick connect thing that came with it and when I checked afterwards, I looked under the sink, the new garbage disposal was there but the old quick connect was on there still. That was while he was putting everything away and took his stuff out into the van and I asked him about the quick connect. He said it doesn't need it and that the old quick connect looks fine, it was 9 years old and there was a new one in the kit and I asked where the quick connect was because it costs $11.00 at Home Depot. He said it's out in his van, I asked why he would take my quick connect because it came with my kit. I told him to go get my quick connect and give it back to me, he had no right to take it. It was an $11.00 part. Another issue was on the bathroom faucet. When I went in to check it, the faucet was installed fine, I had no problems with it but the old drain spout thing was still in there. I asked why he didn't change that, he said it was because the other one looks perfectly fine, there's nothing wrong with it. He said he doesn't think there's one in the kit anyway and that there would be an extra charge to do it if there was. So I was not really pleased with the fact that he did not even change or say anything, the fact that it cost us extra to put the change in the stopper. The next day I thought about not him leaving my warranty papers for any of the 3 things installed. When I called the office and they had him call me back, he said they were out in the trash and he's out again on another job. She put into the voicemail of someone else. He called me back, in the meantime I realized I had another Mowen bathroom faucet kit, same brand, same style. There was a faucet stopper kit included in that kit. I told him he has my other drain stopper and I want it back and all my papers back, I said I can't believe he took all my warranty papers and just threw them away and kept parts out of my kit, I think that was dishonest. He said he will bring them by. I also talked to a lady in the office about it, she put me in a voice mail of someone and I guess when he came in, she told him I was upset and he called. He said I would need to tell the supervisor and they will have him call me, but I didn't get another call back and none of the warranty papers or faucet kit were ever delivered back to me. A few weeks later, I noticed that my cellphone had another call from Josh and I called him back and he said he has been off from work, he was on a sick leave, he asked if they brought my stuff and I said no and he said he'll call them and they should have them bring it for me but I haven't heard anything back. I never really got to talk to the supervisor. One guy asked if it would be alright if they just came out and stuck out another stopper and install it. I said I have to think about that. I really don't feel good about things right now and I never got my papers back. They said they'll have the supervisor call me and they never called or offered to come back out. I haven't heard anything so I'm getting ready to call them back but I think their rates were astronomical. When I was at Home Depot getting the disposal, I saw a sign there about We Install and I knew I had set up a thing with somebody to come out and do some installation so I didn't think about it and didn't pay attention to it. I wish I had because when I called back to Home Depot the day after this stuff was installed and asked them their rate to install a garbage disposal, it was $129 installation fee, my fee was $361 for installing a garbage disposal and that took half an hour. I just want people to be aware before even thinking about signing up with them, that the rates are astronomical and I was not very impressed with their business practices. I would never use them again. They were not punctual in following through.
Description of Work: The Service Pros came out and replaced 2 faucets, the kitchen one was a little more difficult and took maybe 45 minutes, a bathroom one that took about 30 minutes and put in a new garbage disposal that took about 30 minutes.
