It was the first 90 degree weather that we had. He was very knowledgeable and very informative. He gave me pointers on caring for my air condition unit. He was very nice.

+ -1 moreThe ac stopped working and I bought a $64 coupon for an ac check-up from Jacob Brothers. Jim and Sue came out right away and had it running in a few hours. Jim is quite a character and Sue very sweet. They both know their "stuff". I'm not sure about the "high start amps" part, but if it really works it was very worth it. I appreciated their not trying to sell me a bunch of other things as did another company. My husband was livid with the other company and won't let me call again, so I'll definitely stick with Jacob Brothers for future repairs.
Description of Work: Fixed damaged wiring and filled up freon in ac unit. Also, they put in a high start kit to keep the unit from surging on too high and burning out sooner.

Technician showed me several makes/models of thermostats he had on the truck. He asked about our energy use, and recommended the least expensive thermostat. I used an Angie's List coupon. The coupon covered the extensive inspection and I only paid for the thermostat. The price was reasonable and so was the installation.
Description of Work: Checked central air unit. Made repair as needed.

+ 0 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They were punctual and there were no delays in them coming out. They did what they said they would do. They visually inspected the sewer line from the house to the street but it was upside down and black and white.

+ 1 moreThey were on time, showed me the results, and did what they said they'd do. On another Big Deal they were supposed to remove an inline filter for a drinking faucet. I had asked them to take a look at the plumbing on the water heater as well. They ended up taking 45 minutes more than they estimated and I thought that the amount of time was excessive for the work completed.

Installers showed up at 9 a.m. on Day one and left by 4 p.m. They had almost all the work done but wanted to do the job correct versus doing it half-assed. We, as home owners were ok with this, but not thrilled as we thought it would be done in one day. Installers returned on the second day and finished the hook up of the new a/c, installed a programmable thermostat, and tested the system. They left and our utility room was a mess. I spent about 45 minutes cleaning up where the furnace had been removed and then reinstalled. There are stains on the floor still that I'm not sure from what. Having a pet, this makes me nervous as we do not have a way to shut off the utility room from the rest of the house. The unit has a 10 year parts & labor warranty and a condenser warranty for life. Which is why we went with this company. The sales person was knowledgeable and very responsive. Spent the time ensuring measurements were correct, etc. and explaining why he was recommending the course of action he recommended. I am now slightly nervous about the lack of responsiveness from the dealer and the sales person when I've had questions. Hopefully it's been just a glitch in their system.
Description of Work: Removed furnace to redo exchange and return vents. Replaced old a/c with a 3 ton 15 SEER unit.

I do not know anything about faucets, so I just thought it would be like a replacement of the faucet, but actually the replace I had was actually a lot more money than what it was worth of. Once you understand what it is then it looks like it is exactly what they took, but it just was not what I was expecting. They came out right away. I had to pay other than what the big deal was. I would like to tell other members to make sure that you understand what it is that you are getting.

+ -1 moreThey were the same vendor that we used at our present home. We had a great experience with them. They are really comparable. I never had better customer service than I had with them. They went out of their way to meet my needs. They are reliable. I wanted an appointment to get an inspection done on the furnace, heating and cooling within days after home inspection took place because we ran into an issue during a inspection. They provided me with a written estimate of the cost to repair and it is 11 year old home so we were not interested in repairing it. We sent an email exactly what we were looking for in terms of a new unit and they provided with several options and several estimates to install a new system. Ultimately we were looking for the same system we had as it is the right size for this place. Their pricing was little on the higher side. They were recommended by my friend and I was very pleased. They followed up afterwards to make sure everything was running correctly. They take a great deal of time to educate me about what I purchased and how I can do things on my own to even cut cost. There is annual maintenance and inspection to take place to avoid breakdown.

+ -1 moreThey did a terrific job. The drawback was that the new faucet may not be architecturally interesting but everything else was fabulous. They supplied the faucet. There were no downside at all, they did the work as promised, it was perfectly done and it was a better valve than what I expected. The guy was friendly and easy to talk to and easy to understand. Everything was top drawer. They were fabulous.

+ 0 moreThe bathtub was really expensive. They were a little bit more than I expected. He came in and took in what we were talking about and took some measurements and so forth. There was a deadline date for when I had to make use of them.
Description of Work: The Service Pros came in and gave me some estimates of different projects they could do but I haven't pursued it past that. They gave a quote for a repair of a bathtub and replacement of two sinks.

+ -1 moreThis was a big deal offer. I had a sewer backup about a year ago due to roots in the line to the main and I have had the line augered twice and had a camera used once. I have also used copper sulfate to kill roots. So Service Pro augered again and used a camera. I was glad to see that the pipes and transition looked good and that the roots are at bay. The service was everything the big deal said it would be, the plumber was professional, knowledgeable and conscientious and did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. I will definitely use them again!
