+ -1 moreI really liked the guy who came out to fix the furnace. I thought he really did a good job and he was really good with communicating. He did everything that he could to fix the furnace. I thought he did a great job. As far as the heating and cooling goes, I was happy with them.

However, the office staff seems to do a very poor job because they'll send people out when no appointment has been scheduled and there have been several billing mixups. It's for this reason precisely that I've stopped using the company's services.

+ 0 moreThey did a good job with the furnace, but they didn't fully test the pump before leaving which meant that we ended up with water all over our basement floor. To the company's credit, it did respond quickly to the issue, and it paid to have someone repair the water damage.
Description of Work: We purchased a deal for them to do a furnace tune up. We had them replace a condensation pump while they were at the house, too.

+ -1 moreOrville was professional, respectful, detailed in his description, but didn't try any scare tactics like so many others do in this HVAC business we are working out our next steps now on what we have to do, but I know we will use Orville at the Jacobs company any day for our HVAC service!!
Description of Work: Orville did an inspection of our furnace to determine the safety of the unit after another company told us we needed a new furnace and that ours was unsafe Jacobs company personnel were friendly and super quick to get an urgent appointment on the same day we called Orville was their technician and he is the most honest technician I've ever met.

+ -1 moreService window time was noon-4pm but got call that day telling us eta would be 4pm. Service person arrived more than two hours late - and did not call - claimed to have called our home phone but we specifically told company to call us on our cell phone since service was to be done at our rental property. We got there early and waited - finally called office # approx. 4:30pm when service person had not arrived - but office was closed so got transferred to a general location - got someone who did not help us (though he promised he would). (We left at 6pm and had our tenant wait for service person.) When service person finally arrived, she did a mediocre job and wanted to charge us over $200 to install a replacement part. We said no. We ordered the part online from a different company (cost approx. $20) and had nephew install it - an easy process for him. Also, two cautions to others - (1) even though we carefully read what was to be included in the tune up deal , it was not clear that the service person would not clean the coil in the inside unit (only cleaned the outside unit); (2) if you use this company, make sure the eta time is in the morning - otherwise, there will be no one in the office to help you, if needed, after 4pm. We will not use this company again.

We originally sent in a good review of them because they sent out a really great technician the first time who gave us a $100 credit because he didn't feel he spent enough. We called a year later and asked for the same technician and they said you can’t request a technician and they said they couldn't promise to honor the credit. The guy on the phone was actually pretty nasty. I found the receipt with evidence of the credit but after the way they treated us, I didn't want to do business with them.
Description of Work: They put an outside faucet in previously and about a year ago I called to inquire about them installing another one.
