Description of Work: Had a main drain stopped up - person who responded was very nice and attempted to open drain but could not . Suggested I needed further work to the tune of $1273. I said I could not afford that and he left. He did suggest I contact Metropolitan Sewer District to check the pipe from street to my sidewalk (their responsibility). They did - and nothing was clogged. I called a plumber we had used int he past and he came out, ran a snake - bladed, and it opened up. His charge was $275. I should have used him in the first place. He is also on Angie's list but I did not check him at the time. Used the "special" trying to save money.

Description of Work: The Service Pros scheduled an appointment for a plumber to come to my house and do a sewer rodding/drain cleaning with sewer televising. The plumber arrived as promised and went over the issues I was having my septic/sewer system. She indicated that a rodding would not be necessary. She did inspect two toilets and snaked them manually. In addition, the toilet flaps were replaced in the tanks. I paid by credit card for these services and the rodding, etc. was not performed.

Description of Work: The plumber showed up on time and even donned covers for her shoes. She told us what she needed to gain access to our sewer line. There were two{2} points; one was so corroded that she would have had to cut it out; the other was covered by carpet when we had the basement re-modeled. We didn't want to pull up the caepet and the other option was no good. She was very polite and {apparently} very knowledgable.

Description of Work: It was great! The technician Sarah was hired to do sewer rodding/drain cleaning with sewer televising, but once she evaluated other possible reasons why water was coming into my basement (by walking around each room and touching the carpet and walls, as well as walking around the outside perimeter of the house to search for possible water entrance locations), she offered professional and personal advice on solving the problem. This was above the call of duty;a very noble and trustworthy thing she did. I would definitely recommend this company to others, and I will use them again for actual work.

Description of Work: Mike arrived and asked what my problem was. He said that the sewer cleaning didn't relate to the problem I needed fixed. He offered to come back if I wanted to proceed with the drainage issue, but that I should get a refund for this specific big deal.

Description of Work: Bought one of the on-line specials for $99. Had them come to quote/fix a leaky shower. Tech was late getting there, then could not get the handle off the shower. Said she'd have to order a new handle and cut the old one off. My husband ended up getting the handle off without much trouble that weekend, ran to a local store to get parts and fixed this over the weekend himself. I asked them for a quote to replace the hardware in bottom of tub which had tarnished and she quoted us over $800! I still have the unused $99 certificate. Waste of money!

Description of Work: The tech looked over the outdoor faucet location and indoor(basement) location to reach pipe couplings.They were buried in the walls(basement was finished). She did a great job finding the water shut off valve.Unfortunately my builder did not leave any reasonable access to the faucet from the inside. Their tech did a excellent job explaining the limited options.

Description of Work: Service Pros came in to do a A/C tune up. the service man was prompt, polite, told me exactly what he was going to do. There were issues found, but he told what looked like it might need replacing sometime soon & gave me an idea of what type of a/c i would need, and the general prices. Description of Work: I would have given them an "A" if it weren't for my initial experience with them: Iwas initially very disappointed, having purchased an Angie's List Big Deal only to be told that the pipe couldn't be unclogged and that I needed major, costly plumbing repairs. The good news is that when I called to register a complaint the owner of the company personally came out and made it right, and quickly sent out a plumber who successfully unclogged the pipe. I was VERY impressed with the owner's commitment to excellent service, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone, based on this experience. They didn't connect with the ball on the first swing, but the second was a home run.
